We highly recommend Value Appliance. They gave a fair quote to repair our Sub-Zero built-in wine fridge. This was a very big job since the fridge is built-in and very large. Their quote was significantly less than a different company's quote to replace all of the same parts with new Sub-Zero parts. The value to repair the wine fridge was well worth it since a new one would cost more than $12,000!! Value Appliance is one of very few local companies that repair Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. This company is the real deal. I have all Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances in my kitchen. Although they are aging, I still wouldn't replace them with other brands. After wondering if he just didnt see me, since my car is pretty small, I made eye contact in his review mirror where he almost looked as though he was about to pee himself laughing so hard. I guess almost causing an accident with your company name blasted all over his vehicle was the greatest joke he ever thought of. I called two days ago to confirm that today's appointment was still on and they said, "Oh, I'm glad you called. We may not be able to come out on Thursday but we'll call you the day before to confirm." Well, no call yesterday. When I called them this morning to confirm this morning's appointment they said, "Sorry, everyone has the flu and we'll have to reschedule you in 3 weeks." THREE weeks!? They didn't offer to shift their appointments up to accommodate the people who've already been on the schedule for over a month. Unbelievable. Again, DO NOT use this company. read more

Something is going on with this company. They must have had a change in management. I have used them in the past and they were good.... but not anymore. I have a brand new ice maker that they were supposed to fix (sent over from Fergusson) They came and "said" they ordered the parts. I heard nothing for weeks until I called begging for an appointment for them to come fix it. I got one 3 weeks later. Well the morning of, they called to say no one was coming and they rescheduled me for 2 weeks later!!! UHG! The repairman just showed up at my door and said... "hmmm.. I have nothing. They sent me with no parts, no door... nothing to fix your ice maker." WTF????? I am furious. This is horrible customer service. I was frantic when I called for repair of my Sub Zero this morning but Debbie got a technician scheduled the same day, immediately after a holiday weekend. Craig is incredibly knowledgeable and focused on the repair instead of selling me unnecessary parts, product replacement, or services I don't need. He quickly diagnosed & repaired the problem. Just a review on the receptionist/customer service since we never actually used them. I called Weds to make an appt for a Friday. the receptionist was nice enough, but I felt rushed on the phone to make the appt. You could hear the phone ringing in the background. I felt like "just another job". I called back Thursday to cancel the appointment due to no reviews on here and I got recommended to use Zajic Appliance (great reviews). When I called, the same female answered, and again, I felt rushed....trying to either get to another call or whatever. You know how you get a gut feeling sometimes, well, I had it. Again, I'm not rating their work, just the appointment process. I hope someone else reviews them for their work. BTW, this is a company that Bonney Plumbing recommends. I needed an appliance repair shop after I got a gas line installed by Bonney and my dryer wasn't working properly (nothing to do with Bonney). I called to have our 2008 Bosch dishwasher repaired because it was taking a long time to cycle through and leaving a white residue on many of the bowls, plates and silverware, requiring me to hand wash the dishes. The assessment was that I needed a new rinse dispenser, which was ordered and installed. Two service visits, telephone consultations, and $406.45 later, my dishwasher is malfunctioning just as it was originally. The most recent advice from Value Appliance was thatthe heat control unit probably is malfunctioning. The part could be ordered and installed, but there would be no guarantee that our dishwasher would operate probably after the replacement part was installed. Perhaps because it is an older dishwasher, I would prefer to replace it with a new one. It would have been nice to be upfront with that advice in the beginning. Initial experience was great; diagnostic visit, followed by ordering of part and install. My wine fridge was having difficulty where only maintaining 61-63 degrees. After part replacement, fridge stopped maintaining temperature, and was reaching room temperature. I called following day and asked if they can take a look, or at least put old part back in. I was informed that they will get back to me. nothing for a week. I followed up multiple time. one response (voicemail) telling me that they will get back to me. Followed up multiple times over weeks, no response. Finally got hold of someone who stated to be account manager. She was not aware of this issue and promised that they will get back to be my end of week; Nothing. I have officially given up. My only saving grace is that after first week of no response, I went out and purchased two small wine fridges to store my wine collection. I am very sorry as to the decline in this company that we have used for years. The front office staff now can create nightmares for their customers. They do not return calls, and they do not follow up. This can create incredible inconveniences to you with weeks of no follow up service, or ordering of parts (as they might claim to have done - WEEKS ago). HOWEVER if you speak to Lyn's (the owner's) daughter, you will be treated professionally. Do NOT leave messages with the other staff, insist ONLY on speaking with Lyn's daughter - she is fantastic. Very unhappy. They have been out to my house on five different occasions to "fix" my freezer that has been leaking. They never successfully fixed the problem long term because it's still leaking just as much as it was in the first place. I called and spoke with Stacy who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I explained the situation and asked that they send someone to ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. She told me that I should have called her within 30 days. I informed her that I've had a few deaths in my family (including my dad) that my husband and I both work full time and we have three kids. The leaking freezer wasn't exactly on the top of my list of things to do. She showed no compassion at all! Just said that she wouldn't schedule anyone to come out until I paid for the previous times they've come out. I asked to speak to her manager and she took my info and said she was out for the day and would have her call me the next morning. The next day Stacy called me and pretended to be the manager! Then admitted that it was her that I spoke to the previous day and laughed! Again she was very unprofessional and rude. I again asked to have her manager call me and I never received a call. I'd have no problem paying the bill in full if the problem was actually fixed! read more

We purchased a stove made by an Italian company that was supposed to be converted to propane,but it wasn't delivered that way. We were able to get the burners and the oven parts switched over and it worked fine for about 3 months. My wife then realized the oven temp wouldn't get above 320*. We tried several other companies to try to repair. Others either didn't show up or were rude on the phone. My wife found Value appliance and they showed up when they said they would, diagnosed the issue that was incorrect from the factory and now our stove is working great. We called SubZero for warranty service on a brand new fridge. They referred us to Value Appliance and we couldn't be more happy with the professionalism and 5-star customer service. They were pleasant on the phone and set a service appointment for the next day. The tech showed up promptly as promised and took care of all of our needs. And best of all, they complied with our request that their service person not have on any cologne. Had the freezer rebuilt 7 years ago, technician left the unit with a Freon leak, not the best after a new 3 thousand dollar "sealed " system. Unit now with another Freon leak and they wont look at it without their service call charge. Frankly, its not the 80$ service charge which is a drop in the bucket compared to what I have paid them to service this appliance. I called them to come and take a look at our dishwasher that showed a code number indicating some blockage. The person who came was the most annoyed, unfriendly,grumpy old man who just wrote down the code and didn't even look at the filter until we asked him to.what was the point coming out and writing down the code when I could have given it on the phone? Anyways..... it gets better.... He said they have to call Wolf the manufacturer to see if they can pay for the repair. I told him I don't care to pay I want it fixed. He insisted to call but since it's in Michigan, they were closed already. What's the point making an appointment so late knowing that it's already too late to call the manufacturer? Nonsense. 2 days later I called value appliance back (3pm) and the answering machine told me to call between 9-5 . When I wanted to leave a voicemail, I was told -service not available . I had to share a review of Value Appliance after their recent visit to help us with a noisy and not well working Fisher&Paykel dryer. The communication from the business was outstanding, the technician arrived in time and was well prepared and was wearing a mask. He diagnosed the issue in a matter of minutes and not only repaired that but helped with a couple of other items that the last repair company failed to identify. The dryer was totally good as new and I genuinely can't recall a better service experience. Received a phone at 8:30 that he was on his way, arrived at 9:00 am was knowledgable diagnosed my built in sub zero refrigerator and Wolf range within minutes. Went over my options, had the parts I needed in his van then proceeded with repairs, fixed everything successfully and was out the door at 9:45. Our Bosch dishwasher (POS!!) has been acting crazy for a long time....based on a recommendation I called Value Appliances, Pat came out that day and immediately knew what the problem was and the fix.......they had to order new controller board. 4 days later all is good again and dishwasher is working as it should!! Value went the extra extra mile to keep us informed of the repair, even sent an email (and phone call) confirming when Pat would return and replace controller board. I would definitely call Value Appliances from now on for appliance repairs.By-the-way, their receptionist was very professional, very pleasant and concerned about our problem..... As for Bosch, reading on the Internet, this model has had major on-going problems with their electronics and is well know to Bosch so in my opinion should have replaced this board for free! They are not the cheapest, but they have never failed to get the job done right. They are the ONLY authorized Subzero repair company in the whole Sacramento area. Frankly, I'm surprised, but the tech explained to me that Subzero revamped their repair network a few years back and kicked out anyone who was being fraudulent...decided it would be easier to manage one shop. Anyway, among appliance repair places I have used, these guys set the bar for professionalism. Please ...Please ...Please stay away from this company. Pat came to our home 3 weeks ago since to check on our refrigerator which abruptly stopped working. Charged $115 for the visit and quoted us $3500 for the repair. I was surprised that without much checking, just by opening and closing the door he knew what the issue was...but since he did a little something to our dish washer ..which was also having issue....as a desperate mom without any refrigerator with baby up all night... agreed to the repairs...I was told that he would call me back and give an update on when the parts where coming in and such..Never heard back A physician friend of mine recommended another company, the technician came out abruptly and next day our refrigerator was fixed...guess for how much...less than $500. The issue was with the electricity board and nothing to do with any leakage or compressor as quoted by Pat. Icing on the cake - I called back and reported the issue to the manager BUT no nothing despite the promise that she will get back...Please stay away..I am just appalled at the difference of repair cost...I guess they figured we were desperate and would pay anything ...wow..what a way to treat people... read more

Where do I start... My Dacor oven was still under warranty so they sent Value Appliance out. Lady at their office promptly called me and scheduled a repair guy the following day. Repair technician by the name of Pat came out and quickly determined what the problem was and also noticed a problem with the door hinges. He ordered the parts and returned today and repaired everything. Oven is working like new again. Pat, the technician was very professional. Pat payed great attention to protecting my flooring and countertops. These things are very important as the last thing I want is collateral damage from someone dropping tools and parts on my flooring or counter. Pat was also very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about what he was doing. Even the people in the office seemed very professional. I would highly recommend Value Appliance. read more

We needed repair of Thermador Gas Cook top. We contacted Value Appliance, Roseville (they had done work for us in the past); their technician Craig came in but he could not fix the problem He did not bring the parts (even the most common one, the Sparking Module), even tried to replace the Module with an old used one, and claimed that parts for our model are not available. Untrue! We can easily find parts and my conversation with the office manage was of no avail. read more

hey. where are the honest repair service. chris came over to repair and condition our viking stove. he told my daughter now it was going to be 1200 worth of repairs. when he left my house he told my daughter the stove was not working. it would be another 2 week before they could come back. turned on the stove works fine. what is he going to repair. now three burners are not igniting to turn it on. before only two front igniter for the stove cook top was not working. wrong parts were ordered. what is the 600 dollar charge for. wrong parts ordered and more of the stove not working. what is he repairing ? need honesty here. called the store to speak to the owner or manager. want to pay for an honest job with the correct repair. so far it is a very zero rating read more

We just had a great experience with 2 technicians. Lynn and Shane came out to check a Sub Zero built in that has been heating up. It was serviced last week by another company and we were told that to repair it would cost up to $2000. Within 2 minutes, Lynn had diagnosed the issue. They had the part in their van, and the cost was $350 (including labor and the service call). We found them through The Sub Zero website, and they obviously knew what they were doing. They also looked at a diff appliance issue while they were there at no extra charge. We got the appointment within 24 hours of calling. I highly recommend. read more
