The place was very clean, service is great, and prices very reasonable. The final product was very good. I only gave it 3 stars for now as Iike to try out any place twice. The shellac removal includes the use of drills. Where I live now (east coast/DC area) the shellac is removed with soaking the polish off with assistance with utensil to help scrape it off. The technicial who did my pedicure was super nice - however, her technique in removing cuticles was quick and a tad rough. These are picky things, but compared to my back-home technician i noticed the minor differences. I will come back again during my next visit to Tempe. read more

I like this no frills nail spot in Tempe. They do a good job, they're fast, and can accommodate my weird nail art requests...like the time I asked for a pineapple on my thumbs. Get there early- I like to go before work sometimes right when they open but if you are there even a few minutes past 9:30, there's usually a wait. It's a convenient spot if you live in Tempe. i have never ever made a google review about any business- however the experience i had here was ABSOLUTELY terrible. i will never come back to this salon. the only thing that was decent was the customer service- from everyone besides my nail tech. the nail tech hardly spoke to me- barely a hello. he was an older gentleman and was incredibly nonchalant about my nails. the left picture is the exact picture i showed him for reference of what i wanted- and he looked at it briefly one time and never asked to see it again for reference. my nails are thick and clunky looking-when i asked for thin and sharp looking. the reference picture and the end result are night and day. i got too nervous to ask the nail tech to redo the nails- he had already been struggling with the equipment prior to us finishing. he looked as though he was going to use an airbrush for the ombré, however he couldn't get it to work- and instead used an extremely cheap sponge that left bits of sponge and a hole-y texture throughout the paint. it was so bad that when i was leaving, my friends nail tech (who was a younger gentleman who was extremely nice and did her nails perfectly to her reference photo) asked to see my nails and clearly looked appalled. i was so embarrassed that i could not ask for them to redo it. overall extremely unpleasant with a terrible end result. my nail tech was extremely rushed during my session and left me feeling terrible. i will never ever come back here. read more

This is three days after getting my nails done... the top layers peeled off, all of them have chipped or cracked, she didn't push them to my cuticle so they look so grown out. Tempe Nails & Spa is the only place I will come to get my nails or a pedicure done. Jason has been doing my acrylic nails for over a decade now and I always leave happy. He is more of a perfectionist than I am (and I am very picky), so I never have any complaints about how they look. The salon is clean and all their equipment for pedicures are sanitized and safe. I always get gel pedicures and they always look great and the foot massages are extremely relaxing. There are three levels of pedicures, if you have time I recommend the deluxe one that has paraffin wax and feels heavenly. I highly recommend Tempe Nails & Spa. read more

Excellent service! I called and got an appointment right away. I asked for the powder dip polish and they were the only place I found in this area that had it. Their shop is large and can accommodate a lot of people. The massage chairs are comfortable and did the job. I will definitely be coming back to get my mani-pedi here. Good job guys! read more

This place is consistently good. Price is good, service is quality and the technicians are always sweet. I've had both pedicures and gel manicures here and my gel always lasts- I do hair so my hands are in water constantly. I just left this morning and the guy got me in immediately and had me done and out in 30 minutes- wonderful since I have to go to work. The salon is clean and cute- simple decor and not annoyingly gaudy. I live in Chandler now but usually drive down here for my gel because I've always had good experiences. Thanks!!! Their Tempe location 851 w university dr is horrible. My mom sister niece and I came to get pedicures and were pretty disappointed. The pedicure water was cold which I've NEVER had before the lady said that's how they do it but I know that has to be a health risk. That wasn't even the worst part she cut me so bad trimming my nails it bled not a little but a ton. She kept insisting on putting polish on it WOW because nooooo one else used that same polish huh!? What a health risk .. let's put dirty polish on an open cut. I left with 9 toes painted and 6 hours later I'm still bleeding and in pain. Anna was my nail tech and she was so sweet! She actually talked to me and did the accent nail design I requested and nailed it even though she was nervous. The gentleman who greeted me and said goodbye was pleasant but this was one of the most disappointing pedicures I've ever had. The woman who never introduced herself seemed put off by having to do a pedicure, I think she usually does manicures. She cut my cuticle too short and nicked my nail bed skin, ouch! She complained about my dry skin on my toes, well...that's why I was having a pedicure! She gave up trying to deal with it and probably over clipped the skin, which likely will look terrible tomorrow. She did use nice warm stones with the half-hearted massage she gave me. Didn't even say thank you when I paid cash, without needing any change. I tipped her but now regret that. read more

It is always clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the work is consistent in its quality. I have never had a bad experience here with any of the manicurists or pedicurists, and have had great eyebrow waxes here as well. It is sometimes busy, but I've never waited more than 15 minutes, and if I have an appointment, they are ready for you the minute you walk in the door. Plus, for a gel manicure enthusiast such as myself, their outstanding selection of colors is very pleasing - definitely the biggest selection of gel colors out of any salon I've been to in the valley. I arrived around 1pm on a Wednesday. They were not extremely busy, but they weren't slow either. I was greeted right away with a "What you need" followed by "pick a color". I didn't have to wait long to be seated for a pedicure. The women doing my pedicure wasn't very pleasant. She didn't attempted to speak to me aside from asking what kind of pedicure I wanted. Perhaps her attitude remained crappy because I only picked the basic pedicure (because I had just had my toes done 2wks prior & basically just wanted a polish change) but she was almost rude. She didn't smile, or talk, was very rough. She cut, my heel with her callous remover and she clipped my Nails without asking if I wanted it cut first. She also cut it uneven, so my nail has an angle to it. Needles to say I will not be returning, & I will never recommend. read more

I am new to the process but she asked me on the phone if i had dipped nails and I said yes. I asked if you can do the in an hour. She said yes. I was on my lunch break and was not back in time for a meeting. Strike 3. The nail tech pointed my nails why when she asked how I wanted them. I will not return. My thumb nail has a rough spot, and index finger has a tiny hole. $30 for dipp $5 to remove old nail plus cash tip & $1.05 for using debit card. I don't recommend this place!! read more

Inside is very clean and well put together. Staff greets you as you enter the building. They are very kind and gentle with you. I got a pedicure and she added hot stones for free for being patient and waiting. I do however advise that you book ahead of time. The very nice and friendly lady that did my nails name is Tia, she is very kind and professional. My phone had died so I had no picture to show her, I described the shape and length the best I could and without a picture she gave me exactly what I wanted, my nails look, and feel amazing, they're perfect! I had came in later and even though it took her past closing time she continued my nails and she was very precise and detailed and did not try and rush since it was past closing. Very strong work ethic, very friendly, detail oriented, amazing service. This was my second time here and they continue to impress me.
