Walk in on a Sunday mid morning, and was seated. We got hot coffees, with oatmilk, and ordered our meals. I got the delicious pork belly, with the fixings, and Pilipino style eggs. The picked veg was so refreshing, and tart, delicious gravy, and the rice was super aromatic, and savory!! My husband got the chicken fried steak which he said tasted homemade, hand breaded and delicious.His eggs were cooked perfectly over-easy. We stopped in for Filipino breakfast! We tried everything and it was great! My favorite is the steak and eggs as well as the lechon. The rice and pickles veg that came with complimented the dishes perfectly. With a couple cups of coffee I found myself pretty stuffed but couldn't resist ordering some pastries to go. The ube cheesecake with warm halaya on top was angelic when paired with coffee. The owners and staff were the nicest and sweetest, and overall had that small diner feel. My lady enjoyed the homemade quiche so much on a prior visit, she ordered it again and thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the first time. This diner was a complete 180 from my last experience. It was a one-man shop, and he absolutely crushed it. The service was attentive, interactive, and genuinely welcoming. Pleasantly surprised at this diner. We chose this location not only because it was close to our hotel but they serve country fried steak and corn beef hash. Let me tell ya, both did not disappoint. Both came out just slightly crispy on the outside and the portion sizes were perfect. Their home style potatoes were also just slightly crispy too. We had a large group and they were able to sort the tables inside to fit our party of 10. I would say maybe the inside could fit 30 which includes the counter seating. They also have an outdoor patio. We ordered some drinks but they recommended us the Coffee Jelly. Think of a Boba drink but with iced coffee and coffee like jelly. To pair with that, they make these Silvanas, a cashew meringue cookie with buttercream in the middle. It was delicious. Reggie, the owner was classically trained in Europe and all of his desserts was made in house. Let me tell ya, he was super friendly and we chatted a bit. I was given a slice of his pumpkin cheesecake. OM Gee , so good and so light! There is a UBE flan on the menu for pre-order. I would've totally gotten that if I was staying the week! On the corner of a small strip is this hidden gem of a restaurant. I stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed every bite. Rich full flavored coffee, and an extensive breakfast menu. I now know I found my favorite place for Filipino pastries made more unique and sophisticated! We ordered sylvanas, cinnamon rolls, ube brownies, pumpkin cheesecake, and the muffins with salted egg (inspired by a traditional rice cake called "bibingka"). Everything tasted divine! It's quite a schlepp to Scottsdale, which was about a forty-five minute drive. So well worth it! I wish these guys continued success and thank you for these perfect treats! FYI--the pastries are apparently made by Pandesal Republik which is in the back of the cafe. I assume Temptations Cafe and Pandesal Republik are one and the same thing. My husband and I were visiting Scottsdale for the weekend and found this charming little cafe within a 20 minute walk from our hotel. It is so clean and the service was great, and everything was delicious! We were so impressed we ate breakfast there three mornings in a row--a 40 minute roundtrip walking from our hotel. I ordered the Fit breakfast with an egg white scrambled with spinach and mushrooms, turkey bacon, and a fruit cup. Every detail was perfectly executed. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was perfect, and every piece of fresh fruit was flawless and delicious. My husband is EXTRAORDINARILY picky about his eggs--he ordered the avocado scramble and again, cooked to perfection. We didn't try any of the amazing looking pastries, but they were a sight! Ever watch Gilmore girls and wish you could walk into Luke's cafe? Well, I like to think this is the "homey" Scottsdale version of that. The food was also terrific! At 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning, I called ahead and was pleasantly told they could accommodate my party immediately. A bit chilly, but our party of five sat in the sun on the patio with no wait. This cute little diner homestyle restaurant has only a few four tops and a breakfast bar inside. Several tables on the patio with sun which helped a lot because it was still only about 55 out. Server was extremely eager to please and very apologetic about the inclusion of quiche on the menu when it's no longer offered, and the fact that they had run out of hash browns and had only country potatoes. Service was prompt, coffee and water was refilled timely and she checked back often to see if we needed anything. All skills you rarely see demonstrated these days! Bravo! I ordered a spinach and mushroom omelette with herbed cream cheese and fruit. I was told since I don't eat potatoes or bread, that there would be no up charge for the fruit, thank you. Companions had a western omelet with country potatoes, a breakfast burrito (enormous) and a special of two eggs sunny-side up, bacon and pancakes. I really enjoyed the omelette with the clearly fresh vegetables, and the herbed cream cheese was incredibly delicious. The fruit cup was properly ripe and well prepared fruit. Western omelette looks good and disappeared without complaint a lot of the country potatoes were left over they do appear deep fried and not pan-fried. Sorry no pictures! Thank you Yelpers! I found this little breakfast cafe through Yelp. We walked in and got seated. The place has a very homely vibe, simple decor, and the place is cozy. We had coffee, I picked the French toast with a side of bacon, and hash brown (asked for extra crispy) and my husband had the omelet with toast. The food was comforting and tasted fresh. Omg, the hash brown was so so good, the best I have had so far. The French toast was perfect for me as I don't prefer too sweet. My husband said the omelet was good too. The coffee kept coming, the service was very good must say, our server was very nice. I am so grateful I found this place! I spotted it on my daily commute and figured I would stop in for breakfast and I'm truly glad I did, I come here at least once a week If not more! The staff is so incredibly friendly you really feel like a part of the family here.
