Came to try this place out based on a groupon deal. It was meh. The chocolate itself tasted alright, but I'm only giving 2 stars based on the quality compared to the prices. We picked up a variety of chocolates - truffles, caramel apple, chocolate covered pretzel, chocolate covered toffee etc. The only price I remember was for the truffles, which was $1.95/ea. Now, they were alright tasting, but for that price I probably could have gotten about 3 Twix bars, which I think tastes way better. I think that most big brand candy bars tasted better than the chocolate from this place, which is why I think it's so pricey. It definitely wouldn't have been worth it without the groupon deal. I was craving dark chocolate all day and found this place on the way to the movie theater. My favorite was the dark chocolate raspberry truffle and the dark rocky road. My partner loved the raspberry milk chocolate, you can actually taste the milk and hints of raspberry. Dark chocolate covered almonds were also good-- they had a decent amount of almonds, which is rare. I think we got five pieces of chocolate for about $15 total. read more

Don't be tempted by their sign. They have candied apples, but when we bought one (caramel) when we took it back to our hotel we found the apple to be soft and not fresh, which isn't a good sign. I'm not sure how long the apple had been sitting in the case, but judging by the lack of crunch it's been awhile. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. The customer service was top notch. The girls there were so friendly and sweet!! (Forgive the pun. I can't help myself!) If you like Dulce de Leche, try their new shake!! Any shake they make is amazing though!!!! You definitely get what you pay for!! The quality of the products is amazing!! The place is very clean and well kept, which is something very important to me. The sizes of the treats are definitely for sharing, unless you're a sugar addict like me!! I come here to get my candy apple fix before going into the movies. My go to apple is the Oreo candy apple and it's usually pretty good. I think it is the best at night before they close. I once got the apple during the afternoon and it was not as fresh. The caramel was hard and it was difficult to eat the apple. read more

I loved everything they offer me. Specially the service Cameron provides is the best. He makes you think about leaving your bf cause he's dreaming and knows how talk to the customers. Not knowing if they have had a bad or a good day. And the way he makes the shakes are great. He's the greatest person that's ever help me there at the shop everyone else was as positive as he is. Went in to the shop this past weekend and Cameron was there with his flawless smile and great customer service. He helped me and a few friends, it was amazing how he was patient with us being so flirty with him. I loved what he recommended. The truffles and s'mores were just great specially since I listened to him to put it in the microwave at home to warm up the mellow. Went here for something sweet with my friend Erica after Boiling Crab. It was empty and one chick was near the back fucking around with the ice cream tubs while we checked out their very limited selection and went back to the front to look at the strawberries and candied apples. This dumb bitch just stayed in the back by the incredibly boring ice cream selection fucking with the ice cream tubs and didn't say a word, greet us or ask us if we wanted anything. So we were just standing there staring at candied apples and shit for a while, giving each other looks like WTF no wonder this place is empty... and the first thing she says to us is "No pictures in here!" when my friend attempted to take a pic while she waited. I guess these business-savvy geniuses don't understand the concept of Yelp reviews and don't want pictures of their products online. Idiots. Maybe they think their candy-coated apples are super fucking special ideas that other candied-apple makers would steal? Please. I've seen every kind of candied apple with Oreos, other random shit, you name it. No one is going to be stealing your fucking candied apple recipes, I promise. So after that first lovely "No pictures in here!" greeting, we continued to just stand there and wait... While this idiot finished switching the ice cream tubs, never saying "I'll be right with you" or anything of the sort like a normal person with a job that requires interaction with customers might do. I said to my friend "I kind of even don't want to get anything from here now" and she agreed, but we wanted some chocolate-covered strawberries. THEN the chick working said "Can I help you?" after we had been standing there a good 5 minutes. My friend & I looked at each other and muttered how we kind of didn't even want to give them business at this point. But we asked for 2 milk chocolate-covered strawberries and a white chocolate one: $7.50. When I paid I noticed they had an empty labeled tip jar with another sign next to it asking for tips. I was extremely tempted to ask this girl why they think they deserve tips for this and why they thought a tip jar was warranted, because their service was certainly lacking and the prices of their items are not low. If you're not making enough money over-charging for your shitty goods, a tip jar is not going to save your business and you should probably re-structure your business instead so that it's better. She certainly did nothing to deserve a tip and frankly throwing tip jars on every counter that sells food to-go is a pet peeve of mine. I will sometimes tip in a tip jar at a place I regularly get stuff to-go from, if they have earned my loyalty with good food and service over time. For an example, I make an exception for Puebla Tacos because they're cool, the food is good and they're open late and I'm thankful that they exist. Getting back to this shit hole, we finally got our strawberries bagged up and went outside to eat them. The strawberries were unripe and bland and the chocolate was waxy, flavorless and seemed to be made with a lot of "filler" ingredients to give it that waxy barely-chocolate taste and texture. Both white and milk chocolate strawberries sucked, and the fact that they were kind of room-temperature warm didn't help. Everything in this place looks better than it probably is, and a lot of the cookie/fudge selections looked really boring. You would be better off at home melting your own Hershey's chocolate, not even an expensive chocolate, and dipping the strawberries yourself, because that chocolate will have more flavor than this crap. Anyway, moral of the story is, this place sucks, the service sucks, they think way too highly of their bullshit fudge/chocolate-covered crap that many other stores make better, $7.50 is a fucking lot for 3 shitty chocolate-covered strawberries, and I can see why this place was empty at dinner time. They deserve to go out of business unless they drastically change their service AND food items, and since I doubt that will happen, let's just say I hope this place goes out of business. read more

I would imagine that this place is pretty clutch if you are looking to sneak something sweet into the movie theater, but other than for that convenience, this place leaves a lot to be desired. They offer a variety of different sweets from fudge and candied apples to gummy worms and ice cream sundaes but to be honest everything seems to sound better than it actually is. On this visit I decided to order an ice cream sundae. I was thinking hot fudge, sprinkles, and nuts but instead just got mediocre grocery store ice cream, generic whipped cream and cold chocolate syrup. The service was great at this place. The dessert was horrendous. I bought the following: mango truffle, french truffle, black raspberry truffle, dark chocolate ganache truffle and a scoop of coffee n' cookies ice cream. ICE CREAM I should have known better. The glass on the ice cream display was frosted and you couldn't see the ice cream very clearly - red flag. Ice cream should be kept at a consistent temperature in order to preserve its ice cream quality. I only know this because I took a ice cream class at Carmela's (which is hands down one of the best ice cream places in LA, along with Sweet Rose, Milk, and Neaveux Artisan Creamery). I was so excited to eat the Coffee n' Cookies. I was expecting it to be like Cookies N' Cream, but with a coffee flavor. The ice cream tasted icy, it didn't have the fluffiness or creaminess indicative of good ice cream. The cookies were very small bits, not nuggets or even broken whole pieces. And the flavor was overall bland. I tried my best to eat it, but ended up throwing it away after 3 bites. It was the first time in my life. PRETZEL STICK COVERED WITH MILK CHOCOLATE AND NUTS The pretzel was STALE. It didn't have the crispiness or flakiness of a pretzel. It was very dull and chewy - unacceptable. The milk chocolate didn't melt in your mouth. It crumbled, then just sat in your mouth. It was like eating fiber. The nuts didn't have the crunchiness either. Like the pretzel, it was dull and soft. FRENCH TRUFFLE I'm a huge fan of truffles. I really like the Godiva dark chocolate selection. Typically, the outer crust is very thin and breaks apart easily - a nice soft crumble. And the inner core is typically soft, creamy and disintegrates in your mouth. Every bite is an alternating soft - crunch - soft - crunch because of the thin crust and the creamy middle. The French Truffle at Temptations was none of what I just described. The out crust was hard. I had to apply pressure to break the crust. Then I got to the core, which was hard and SOLID. I took a small bite at first then started chewing. The alleged chocolate didn't melt in my mouth Again, it was like fiber. The chocolate didn't melt and it didn't disintegrate. It was just in my mouth getting broken up and staying there. I felt like a little kid being forced to eat vegetables and you're chewing and chewing and chewing praying to God that the cauliflower or broccoli or whatever will just go away and you reach that point where it's just little itty bitty bits of food in your mouth and you don't know what to do with it except painfully swallow. So I got to that point and literally took a swig of water and swallowed it. I couldn't believe what just happened. So, idiotically, I decided to take another bite. And this time the ENTIRE core of the truffle separated itself from the remaining crust and I just had the core in my mouth. The core was SOLID. It didn't adopt an amorphous shape like a typical truffle core where it's sagging hanging, going left, right or whatever. It completely broke off into my mouth and I was chewing on it. Like the first bite, it didn't do anything, just broke into pieces in my mouth and just stayed there - again, like eating fiber. I had to spit it out into a napkin. I would have gone back inside and demanded a refund for the remaining truffles, but the service was good, so I just decided to skip it. But I will definitely not return. And it was one of those experiences where you're trying to satiate a craving and instead of being average (where you don't meet the craving, but you get something that satiates half the craving), you get something so subpar that you're now in the negative and you've had a bad experience. I then had to go to a local cafe and get boba and popcorn for redemption. It worked. Temptations, I don't typically write poor reviews, but as a true foodie, you really need some quality control on your products. I've never thrown away chocolates or even spit them out. 2 stars. The only reason I went to Temptations was because I needed to buy something quick to take into AMC and didn't want frozen yogurt or a big tub of popcorn. I got one of the Reese's-peanut-covered apples ($6.95) and a brownie slice ($3). The apple tasted good but was nowhere near worth $7. And the brownie tasted horrible. It had a grainy texture and tasted worse than anything I've ever made at home. Everything else in the store seemed even more outrageously-priced than the apple and brownie I bought. Candy store and a coffee shop together in one, whoa that is cool, I guess? Right? Maybe? Ok, well that is what Temptations is, they have a variety of candies on the side like how you'd expect them to be when going to a candy shop like Sweet Factory at the mall. They also have a bunch of treats on display that you can buy, I came here for their candy apple. It was a cheese cake candy apple. I thought it was pretty good, good plump sized green apple that had a nice crisp when you bite into it and that gooey caramel cheesecake flavor on the outside of the apple. They cut it for you, so you can sort of avoid the mess. read more

Great experience from the minute we walked in my husband and I got greeted by Madeline (yes I asked for her name because she was very pleasant and helpful ) As we walked in my husband and I gravitated towards all the candies they had for us to pick then you look to the other side of the store and they have an array of other delicious chocolates like cashew chocolate clusters or the white chocolate peanut butte cups. This place is awesome! I've have been coming here for about 6 months during the weekends and it always accomadates my sweet tooth. Their oreo apples are excellent and their wide selection of candies in the corner is incredable. Cheaper then Sweet Factory and Rocky Mountain and right next to the movie theaters! Very humble little place and the service always puts a smile on face. Me and my friends go to Boiling Crab and Crane Sushi all the time and everytime we go inside they notice our Boiling Crab smell and seems to make them hungry.
