((((8:38pm)))) we finally finally finally received our order. Here's where everything turned left. When I received my plate from her very unprofessional and rude passenger I noticed the plate was very light practically empty so I stood there expecting to receive another when I didn't I said Thank you gave them a smile walked away. Here's what i received. After a 6h wait i received 4 LITTLE pieces of party wings that were dry and cold. 1tbsp literally 1 tbsp of macaroni cheese literally 1 tbsp of greens which I did not ask for and a dry inflatable piece of dessert that we do not order that's all I got for $21 my niece ate it all a six-year-old And ask for more because it wasn't much in the beginning I didn't get an opportunity to really taste the food like I said great advertisement. This lady can do better!!! I know she can... her professionalism needs to be better. Fyi if you're busy knowing you cannot fulfill a customer's order don't take the order!!!! Honey let me advise you, you are prior to the center go around back doesn't make people will at least me think the corner prior to or outside of the center. The spot is off Kingtree and I Street and you can't park on Kingtree nor would you want to there's homeless encampments all over there with antique store directly across the street from her door so any street parking on I would be taken by those patrons. And I had a disabled person in the car who couldn't walk from all the back where the shopping center began. So I'm sure she's missing out on foot traffic and inconvenience of parking traffic. We unfortunately arrived on a day when they had a shortened, reduced menu. We had driven a significant distance to try the Firecracker Chicken which was not on the abbreviated menu. However - Tiffany to the rescue - our waitress asked the kitchen staff if they would prepare it for us, and they agreed to do so. Wonderful cooperation in the back and on the floor. Mr. Picky liked the chicken, we both thought the mashed potatoes were pretty good, I tried the squash side vegetable and enjoyed it very much because it was seasoned well, we liked the cornbread with honey butter, but our tummies ran out of room and we had to take the baked beans home with us. (Hint for a fabulous breakfast, somewhat English style, is to get buttered toast topped by fried eggs and then loaded up with piping hot baked beans spooned all over it. There is a good use for these leftovers :-) !) Soft folk music was playing in the background, or actually I think those were hymns played folksy style, very cute. We finished by sharing a large scoop of their homemade salted caramel ice cream, and liked it. The place seemed very clean, comfortable seating, not fancy, but a perfect fit for the menu. I had no idea there was a religious college out east, this one is Baptist, nor that they had a restaurant where the students can work, but it's a great idea and a good way to integrate the community with the school. The oxtail meat was so tender and the gravy was very flavorful and savory. I also tried their fried chicken, which they cooked fresh, to order, and it's way better than the usual American style fried chicken that we are all used to eating. The coating on the fried chicken was really crispy and tasted better than any fried chicken that I've ever had before. And I loved their baked Mac & cheese with the thick melted cheese top. The restaurant is nice and spotlessly clean and roomy, with tables and chairs spaced out to give everyone plenty of room to dine here in comfort. I was in and out within maybe 12 mins, I couldn't wait til I got all the way home as I hadn't eaten all day and it was almost 5, so I took a few bites of one beef patty.
