Black Bean Burger with Fries ($5 extra)
    Deborah W.

Ten 01 Social is the only restaurant in the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel. My friend and I stopped by really close to the kitchen closing but thankfully they allowed us to put in our orders last minute. Our server was great. He was very friendly and personable. We ordered: -BLACK BEAN BURGER: The burger was pretty good with a nice amount of toppings. We did get fries on the side (just please note that it is an extra $5 which is a bit steep; however, the fries were very tasty). -CHICKEN AND WILD RICE SOUP: The soup was a bit on the watery side for a cream based soup and quite bland. The chicken was also very dry. The portion though was quite large. But I would skip this in the future. All in all, while service was great the food was a bit hit and miss.

I ate here a few times as I stayed at the hotel for a conference and the staff were nice and the food was decent. I felt their dinner was not as good as breakfast. The service and drinks were top notch thought!

Beautiful hotel conveniently located across from my Airbnb. Nice bar ,staff is friendly but service is horrible. This is my second time here and each time I've came in here mind you I'm visiting from New York, each time I come in here. I sit here and I wait about 20 minutes for someone to even recognize that I'm sitting here or waiting for either water or service or for someone to take my order. It's absolutely horrible. They don't pay attention at all . Edit: after I was noticed the service was excellent.

Lunch was pretty good here too. Reuben was warm and served with a lot of fries. The MN greens was a nice salad with cranberries, crisp apples, chicken breast and an in house raspberry vinaigrette.

Ordered the Banana Pancakes. They were fluffy and flavorful! I usually stay away from pancakes at restaurants since most of the time they drench it in oil but that wasn't the case here.

This is a pretty basic hotel lobby restaurant. The food was "a-ok", meaning there was nothing I'd go back for. We got the charcuterie, which was a big disappointment, the watercress salad, the chicken wings and the flatbread. Everything was just ok. The flatbread was probably the best thing we tried, but nothing special really. The reason I'm giving them a 3 instead of a 2 star rating is because the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and sensed we weren't thrilled about the food so went above and beyond to make it up to us... with a free appetizer. That was really considerate and generous. Thank you for that.

I don't know where to start really. My experience began by waiting for 10 minutes to be sat, standing by the sign that read "please wait to be seated" I finally had to go to the front desk to ask if they were serving dinner in which I was told "of course!" I went back to the area I waited at and was finally seated in the bar area, which worked for me. I then waited another 10 minutes for my server and finally asked the hostess if I could get a glass of wine. She went into the kitchen and alas, 4 servers came right out, seemingly oblivious there were guests waiting to be served, at 6:30 pm! So, unfortunately it doesn't get much better...I ordered the braised short ribs, one of my favorite dishes. To my dismay this dish was completely overcooked and dried out. There was a small amount of Demi glaze, although I'm not sure there would ever be enough sauce to help this dish! Sadly, I sipped my wine, nibbled at my short ribs and got the check feeling disappointed. Oh well, at least I tried! On a positive note, my server was a cute, upbeat woman who did a nice job once my meal was ordered. I feel sorry for her that she has to work at a restaurant with sub par food!

Service was terrible, one of the female baristas tried to be smart-ass. They have signs about proudly serving Starbucks coffee but they don't take Starbucks app payments. Don't waste your money and time at this place, there are better places in Minneapolis.

It's pretty standard for a hotel bar. The drinks are good. The food is two steps above a microwave dinner. The salad was fresh, and had vegetables on it beyond just iceberg lettuce (it was romaine). My lack of one star is from someone who lived in the land of lakes, and the bayou. Walleye is good, Po-Boys are good, the combination is set for divorce...

Before we even got there, we could smell this place, a GREAT sign! The hostess was lovely and guided us to our seats right away! The first thing I noticed was the decor is slightly dark and moody! Perfect for a romantic date! Plenty of candles flickering on each table! The kitchen is open, so it was fun to watch! Our only complaint is that the tables are fairly close together and a 2 person table is so small! It kept us from ordering more food, because there would be no place for it to go! Our server was nice. She originally forgot our drinks but admitted it and got them right away. We appreciated the honesty. Our water glasses were always full, we were given wet naps after our delicious wings and plates were taken promptly! Food: We each started with a drink. I got the banana bread old fashioned which may just be my favorite cocktail! My boyfriend got a beer and said it was "ok." We started with the truffle fries and smoked wings in the flavor rum chili. Holy moly! Both of those were spectacular!!! The ranch was just ok, I would probably get the blue cheese next time. Truly though, you don't need to dip these wings, the flavors are amazing on their own!! For our main course, we got the 14oz New York strip steak cooked to a perfect medium and the scallops! Both were out of this world! Very well done! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It is truly a gem in the cities!

Wood + Paddle is located inside of the Royal, it's their hotel restaurant. On my first night in Minneapolis, I'd arrived to the hotel for check-in around dinner time. Not sure where to go and tired from the flight, I headed down to the lobby and walked over. When I asked if I could get a table for 1, she asked me if I would be comfortable with eating at the bar. It was a Sunday night, so I think she wanted to reserve tables for parties of two or more. I was fine with it, but I noticed there were quite a few empty tables. A few days later, I had lunch with a colleague here. We got seated at a table, and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we kept our lunch within our time requirements so we could get back to the conference without issue. The food was really good. I tried to order or sample local or MN specialties during my trip.
