This place was horrendous, we ordered, I ordered a filet ($50) Med-rare, and my husband ordered the salmon. When the filet came out it was medium well and the salmon was over done too. We sent the food back because we just weren't gonna eat badly cooked food. Then the chef came out and confronted us and told me that my steak was cooked perfectly in the middle and she told my husband that if anything the salmon was underdone. We told her that we know how we like our food cooked and that she should not be confronting us and arguing with us about it and then she continued to argue! We actually had to tell her to leave us alone! Then we got the manager and we told her about how unprofessional it was for the cook to come out and confront us about our food and she said she looked at the food and it was cooked perfectly. If a medium well steak looks medium rare to her..... yikes! She also continued to argue with us and so I just handed my credit card to her so we could pay. They charged us $97! I asked our server why and he said "because she told me to" I told him to get his manager back out and her reasoning was they charged us that because the food looked fine. WE DIDN'T EVEN EAT IT! Both the manager and the chef needs jobs at McDonnalds because they do such a shitty job here. My family and I dined there on New Year's Day, mostly because it was one of the only places open. We took a look at the menu and were extremely intrigued. Sadly that's where the intrigue ended. First and foremost, though, I have to give kudos to our waitress who handled the situation with great professionalism and genuine compassion for our concerns. Our appetizers were quite delectable, and we looked forward to our main entrees. However, our meal wouldn't reach our table for another two hours. I understand that a kitchen can get slammed, and orders backed up, but maybe three tables were going in the whole restaurant! When we received our main course 3 of the four were extremely disappointing. One dish clearly had been reheated or sitting under a warming lamp because the underside of the dish was hard when it shouldn't have been. The pasta dish was cold in the middle of it, and the lobster pasta was dry with little accompaniment. Again our waitress was very apologetic and did the best she could. But for a restaurant that claims themselves to be fine dining, they lack in some very critical areas. read more

I ate at TEN on the opening night and had a great time! My party had dinner reservations at 7 and were seated promptly. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and loved the 5-course meal that was served to us. The best part of the meal was the creamed Brussels sprouts that were served as part of the appetizer. They were so delicious! And this is coming from a Brussels sprouts hater! I have always hated them and now I can't wait to go back to TEN and have them again! Besides that I enjoyed the salad, asparagus, and chocolate covered strawberries. After dinner we moved to the lounge, which was very busy, where we were waited on by a very nice cocktail waitress who served our drinks as fast as she could with the large crowd. She was also very apologetic for us having to wait on drinks, even though we did not wait very long and were having a great time regardless. Tens atmosphere has the essence of years gone by with its Art Deco furnishings and the iconic voice of Frank Sinatra floating through the air. We were met by Lou who is the kindest and most accommodating gentleman. Seating us in one of the booths that make you feel as if you alone with your dining partner. Lou pulled out all the stops with bringing us complimentary champagne and bottled water. Our main course was the Alaskan Halibut and Diver scallops with prawns. Both dishes were plated beautifully and the aroma matched the flavors that followed. After eating our mains which left us satiated and happy Lou cleared our table and came back with the staff singing happy birthday and cup cakes that I had ordered special. The cupcakes were German chocolate cake with coconut icing and to die for! We cannot say enough good things about Ten. Highly recommended when your in this fantastic and up and coming town of Billings MT. read more

I've been across the U.S. and visited dozens of fine restaurants. This one was by far the most interesting. The bartender was great. Made perfect martinis. The restaurant is very nice. But the Food came out way over cooked. The chef came to our table and confronted us arguing quite aggressively that the food was prepared to out specifics. We actually had to ask her to leave the table side. This was a first in all my years of travel. I'm so embarrassed for them. We didn't eat any of the over cooked food and the manager still tried to charge us. When we asked to speak to the manager she did the same thing. Andrew is knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. He has a phenomenal memory for his patrons' names and drink prefernces. This special touch is not something one sees very often. Andrew has the perfect personality for delivering the excellent service at this popular cocktail lounge. The service provided by the front of house manager Hannah was absolutely appalling. To rush out a family due to a restaurant's poor time management is extremely unnecessary. A family during a special time, especially when some have not seen each other in a decade, is just downright atrocious. This individual should be appalled of their behavior and when trying to ask for their direct manager decided to argue ratehr than just get a card for them. They should not be allowed to be in the service industry if they want to treat customers in such a way. read more

We did a staff appreciation dinner @ Ten last Friday night, and the experience was fantastic! The service we received from everyone (but especially our server, Kate) was impeccable. The food here was good but overpriced for what you get. The service was absolutely horrendous. I honestly don't know if I would go back. Our waitress had no idea what she was doing. This was probably the best high end restaurant I found while in Billings, which doesn't say a lot. Cesaer salad was nice. Dessert OK. The main course was overcooked, cold, inedible. Their diner was much much better. read more
