    King's Tea
    Jennifer C.

I got the King's Tea - a slightly gingery oolong. I thought it was not super special but decently good tea flavor. My husband has been coming here for a long time but they recently changed a bit, including the points system, so he was no longer able to redeem his points which would've gotten him a free drink. The staff was professional about it and helpful in introducing new drinks, but it was a little disappointing that we couldn't do anything about all the lost points.

Oreered a taro milk with grass jelly, the amount of jelly inside is insane. I barely can find it

I ordered the Grapefruit Green Tea. It came out within 5 minutes. It tastes a bit sweet at 25%. It has an artificial grapefruit taste to it. The rainbow jelly tastes like sugar. The parking lot can be crowded so try to come during nonpeak hours. The place is filled with tea bags everywhere if you want to just buy the tea. It has an authentic tea atmosphere to it.

This Ten Ren Tea location has been here since the opening of Cupertino Village. One of my favorite tea place. I know I had a review for this place too. Parking is more challenging at this plaza since adding newer sections with more businesses and reducing the number of parking spots. The interior is small and narrow. The service is nice and friendly. Come support your local business.

Ten Ren was my favorite tea spot for a long time. I've been coming here since the mid 2000s, and the quality of tea is still excellent. But I have to admit, their competition has improved. Molly Tea and Chi Cha San Chen are nearby, and their teas are pretty mind-blowing. I've gotten Ten Ren twice over the last couple of months, and they're still A-Tier, but it's not as bomb as I remember. I will always put Ten Ren in my top 3 boba spots just for nostalgia's sake, but the two spots I listed above are anecdotally better imo.

I need one of these every morning, I'm a big fan of stronger teas and this really hit the spot. I don't understand why this place didn't have a long line like the other tea spots do in the area. This is really where it's at. I ordered this at 6:40 pm and I will not be sleeping tonight which is good because it means I can stay awake to watch some larva on the big screen.

My favorite spot from my childhood :))) The tea isn't spectacular or aromatic like the other boba spots that have just opened nearby, but it scratches an itch when you just want boba. I liked their green mango but I think it got discontinued. Last I went, the interior was closed and you could only order from outside. It occasionally gets busy but also can be empty too - just depends. Quite nostalgic.

Ten Ren never disappointed me, tea is always fresh and many varieties. Price is decent too. Love their glass jelly and boba. They always have the best tea taste.

    Black milk tea

Upgrading due to consistent quality and price over the years. I got the black milk tea per recommendation. It was roasted, robust, basic but didnt weight you down or make you feel bloated. I felt like the tea flavor was enhanced in this milk tea. Fast ordering, budget friendly and you can do mixed pearls

1 of 5 boba shops in the plaza. This one is for the tea lovers who like more than just black or green options. Always yummy boba here!

Their milk teas and other drinks are great. I recommend the kumquat green tea. It has a calamansi flavor to it. Their service was great.

The black milk tea here is strong to my liking, however, the boba was too soft for me. This is definitely a good tea place.

Ask the Community - Ten Ren Tea

Do they offer fresh milk instead of creamer?

Are the current hours 12-5 PM? For some reason Yelp and Google have different hours listed!

    Current hours are Mon-Thursday,Sunday 11:30am-8pm Fri-Sat 11:00am-9pm…

Are there any non-dairy milk alternatives? Milk?

Yes, they have many tea choices

    Do they have organic tea?

    Yes

Do they still have eggs tea?

No, unfortunately they stopped making tea eggs

Is there a non dairy milk option?

Yes! They can use a non-dairy creamer

IS IT OPEN NOW???? YES, actually opened yesterday, they said

    Yes it is open

Is it true? Are they finally reopened?

    Still closed

Do they have stamp card or reward point system?

Yes! Enter your phone number there.

I called Ten Ren corporate yet again, they said it's opening end of month due to construction issues but WILL BE OPENING eventually. I think I'm going to have to move onto a new tea place?

:(. So sad! Yea can't wait for them

Is this location really open or is it still closed? I highly doubt that it takes 5 months to remodel such a small place.

    Still closed

Is it open yet? Someone post when they reopen so I don't have to drive all the way over just to check!

Jan 4th. They are finally open. Today is soft opening from 12-6 and tomorrow regular hours resume. Not sure when Yelp will be updated to say they are open but, confirmed they are open as of today Jan 4th. Enjoy!

They give you the option to put double matcha (for the honey matcha latte) which is a plus! The double shot of matcha and the honey pairs really well together. It has the perfect amount of sweetness and a perfect amount of matcha to make it taste rich without being bitter. The strawberry matcha latte has strawberry puree and strawberry bits which makes it taste really sweet. It's a really good contrast of flavors and an overall solid strawberry matcha latte. They also updated the self-ordering kiosk with 2 instead of one now, so there's barely any lines now compared to when they first opened. The drinks are a lot quicker so you don't have to wait too long. There's also no seats inside but there's plenty of waiting space on the outside patio! Overall I would highly recommend this place for matcha lovers. Their matcha is super rich in flavor and they have a lot of options. Sometimes, they also have matcha powder in stock too! The spot is also right off of 280 so it's pretty convenient.

My first experience was pretty mid because the ceremonial matcha latte was VERY strong and bitter. I couldn't finish it and it made me super jittery. After coming back a few more times though, I found a couple things I really liked. The Crème Brûlée Matcha was delicious. I finished the entire drink. You can't change the sweetness level, which is unfortunate, but their recommended sweetness actually balanced the stronger matcha really well. The ice cream is probably the best thing here. Super creamy, perfectly sweet and really well blended. I would honestly come back just for the ice cream. The strawberry matcha latte was pretty unmemorable to me, and the hojicha was also extremely bitter. Service was good. The barista was kind and helpful, which I appreciated. You order through a kiosk, so there isn't a ton of interaction overall. When I first came around their opening, there was basically no line. After they started getting more hype, the lines became longer and longer. I think it's worth trying, but personally I wouldn't wait in a huge line for it. Overall, the matcha itself tastes authentic and is prepared well, but some drinks are just too bitter for my preference. My recommendations: the ice cream or Crème Brûlée Matcha. Those were easily the standouts for me.

The banana pudding tastes fresh and natural without being overpowering or overly sweet. The cookie crumble adds the perfect bit of texture and ties everything together. It's one of those drinks I keep craving. // Sunny Side Up Matcha Einspanner I genuinely thought they had cracked a real egg on top at first (oopsies). It's actually mango syrup, which is super creative. The mango is definitely on the sweeter side, so I like letting the ice melt just a little before drinking- it balances everything out really nicely. // Hojicha If you're a hojicha fan, you can't go wrong with any of their hojicha drinks. They have a deep, roasted flavor that's incredibly satisfying. My personal favorite is the Osmanthus Hojicha Einspanner because the floral osmanthus pairs beautifully with the nutty hojicha. Beyond the drinks, I also appreciate that the quality is consistently excellent. It's one of the few places where you can really taste the quality of the matcha. The line was long due to the weekend, but went by fairly quickly given you order on a touch screen. I had some questions and was able to grab someone making drinks to quickly answer them. There was a a strawberry matcha with strawberry foam on the counter for pick up that looked insane but there was no way to sub out the dairy in the foam (crying in allergies) so I got the oat milk strawberry matcha. It was a little watery and the strawberries were a tad syrupy but overall had great flavor. Easy to order and tables always open up to wait for your drink.
