The tea is high quality. I usually order the mango green milk tea with AiYu 50% sweetness or peach green milk tea. The consistency is perfect each time and I especially love their boba. It's soft and chewy. The price is very reasonable and the service is good. Everytime I go there the cashier is very helpful. You can't go inside the store and I think this change is due to Covid. Would like for more tables and chairs to sit on if that's possible in front of the store since the line can be pretty long. Drinks are definitely worthy to wait for. read more

I've been going here for years and I've never had an unpleasant experience, some drinks may not have been my kink but that's just me. Looking back to my old review of this Ten Ren Tea, I cant believe I gave it such a mediocre rating. Ever since I started getting back into boba (aka bubble tea, aka tapioca tea), I've been on the hunt for the best one in the Bay Area. Particularly in the South Bay, I've time and time again come back to this specific Ten Ren Tea in Cupertino. Honestly, besides TP (https://yelp.to/qTKq/eYt781oMST), this is probably THE PLACE to get the absolute best boba for the money. If you've never been to a Ten Ren before, just note that you can probably find one near a 99 Ranch. It's an OG place that has existed long before your Shareteas or 7 Leaves of the world. They've largely kept their menu the same with some cool additions such as Barley Milk Tea. Prices at Ten Ren are always affordable, with customers never paying more than $5 for a drink. I've probably come to this Ten Ren at least 20 times now after graduating from Berkeley in 2016 (go Bears!) and its consistently been awesome. Not only do they have sweet Five Star deals (I get BOGO at least one every few months), but their service and drinks are bomb. For instance, I always come here for the best Thai Tea EVER and one of the most refreshing Jasmine Milk Tea. Plus, their tapioca balls are unrivaled compared to most places. The perfect amount of chewy and sweet. Add that to speedy baristas and a great atmosphere and you've got yourself a loyal customer. I can't speak for other Ten Rens, as they're all a bit different when it comes to the quality, but this one has been and will always be top tier. I recommend coming either during the weekday or earlier in the morning because traffic in the Cupertino Plaza is really iffy. If anything just emergency park and hurry on in! This is one tea place that my co-workers and I order from during the work week! We enjoy the peach milk tea with less sugar. They have a pretty large menu to choose from and service is pretty quick, even during busy lunch hours and/or after school hours. I feed my boba obsession whenever we head to the South Bay. He knows. Whenever he says, "let's go to the South Bay." My brain translates that as "you'll get boba if we go to South Bay!" Ten Ren uses loose leaf tea and none of the powdery stuff made with chemicals and stabilizers. (I save that for my Cheetos craving!) Part boba cafe, part retail space, Ten Ren has got it made. You walk in, line up, order & pay. Wait patiently for your drink, no matter how intimidating the line is, you won't wait longer than 10 minutes here. Meanwhile, you can use the time to browse through the different teas for sale at the store. I wanted to try something knew, but I've been liking roasted oolong milk tea as of late and that's what I had. The ratio of milk to tea is balanced, the balls are AMAZING and the prices are oh so right! (hello?! these times when boba places are charging $5 per cup, Ten Ren is cheap!) Ten Ren will always have a place in my heart because it's one of the first boba shops I used to frequent when I was first introduced to milk tea as a kid. I'm glad to see that they have a lot of new additions to their menu, but their black milk tea still tastes the same as the first sip I had as a kid. I find that they're very consistent with their drinks as well as their boba, and they're efficient in getting orders out. I ordered my go to lychee green tea drink here and was so shocked that there was a fly stuck to the chunk of lychee in my drink!! On another note, I don't like how this location only gives you one piece of lychee fruit which you usually only get to at the end. They don't have standard ice and sweetness levels but they could customize your drink, if you ask. We tried the Roasted Olong tea with boba and Jasmine Tea with Grass Jelly. Grass jelly is pretty amazing and worth a try. Super quick service and they don't make you wait more then 5 mins. I usually grab a cup before shopping at 99 ranch market. Pretty convenient! Quaint little place with limited seating options. It's more of a Tea/Herb shop than a cool boba hang out place. Suited best for to-go option. This is THE place to go for boba in Cupertino if you like good tea. Ten Ren doesn't have the variety of weird fruity or unique drinks some places have, but you can always rely on it for a delicious, great cup of Roasted Oolong or Barley Milk Tea for a fair and reasonable price. I lived across the street from Ten Ren over the summer, and I was here almost every day... The customer service is good, and there's a great selection of bagged loose leaf teas, too. Tea Ren Tea is probably one of my top boba places. I love how they brew real tea, it honestly makes a HUGE difference. I ordered the Green Mango Green Tea with aloe vera and lychee. It wasn't too sweet and super refreshing! The lychee and aloe vera went very well with the tea. My boyfriend got the milk tea and he really enjoyed it also! This is currently my favorite tea spot! The tea is high quality and the flavors are delicious. The white peach green milk tea and mango green milk tea are both excellent and flavors that you can't really find anywhere else. I usually get my tea 50% sweet and at a lot of the boba places i've tried (including highly overrated ones like 7 leaves) ends up being way overly sugary. Here it's not and the flavors don't taste artificial. Wish there were a few more of these around but glad they're not over expanding, unlike many of the boba chains around that sell overly sweet diabetes in a cup. read more

Ordered a Black Milk Tea with Boba! The tea is very good and is not watered down by the ice. They give you a big scoop of boba for 25 cents. My brother got a Hot Taro Milk Tea and it's pretty sweet so I recommend going down a sugar level. My brother describes it as "silky". Hot drinks cost 25 cents extra! Saturday afternoon my sisters-in-law, the kids & I went to quench our thirst at Ten Ren Tea. It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The store smelled of tea brewing. I think for those who don't drink tea the smell would be too strong for them but as an avid tea drinker it didn't bother me at all. I had the mango green tea drink with green tea jelly. The jelly tasted just like green tea and it was yummy in my tummy. The kids shared a passion fruit teazer which was yummy as well. I will definitely be coming back for more if ever I'm in the area. Ten Ren sells a huge variety of tea leaves for home brewing. This is the place to go if you're looking for some good tea leaves. I always go for the milk tea when I am in the Cupertino/Sunnyvale area. Their milk tea is good, it tastes like it was made from tea as opposed to powder. I tried the taro milk tea today and it was good, but too sweet for me. My boyfriend who usually doesn't like taro tried it and said it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised (: Their Jasmine milk green tea is more my thing. Not too sweet, and just the right amount of tea flavor. Other flavors are just as good, even their normal milk tea flavor is above other stores. Forget all the other tea places in this plaza (like Fantasia and Verde), just go to Ten Ren!! AND, Ten Ren is cheaper than them all. They also switched to the Five Stars reward program recently instead of stamp cards, so this is great if you already use it. However, stamp cards are still valid. Not really much seating, but its a tea place, so you can always find somewhere else in the plaza to sit. When Fantasia right around the corner messed up my housemates honey milk tea one time and they made a big deal about it, we decided that TenRen would be the place to go whenever we're in the plaza. So far, I've tried their almond milk tea, strawberry milk tea, and their lychee iced green tea. Each experience has been really good and consistent! Also, I sampled some of my friends' lychee yogurt green tea & kumquat yogurt green tea. GET THE KUMQUAT. It literally tastes like a creamsicle!
