I went to Ten Sushi + Cocktail Bar with a group of friends for happy hour on a Thursday night, and we had a great experience. It was pretty empty when we got there, so we were seated right away. Even though happy hour is technically bar-only, they were kind enough to let us order from the happy hour menu at our table, which we really appreciated. We started with the cucumber salad, which was delicious and definitely a favorite. The hamachi crudo was also really good -- super fresh and flavorful. We also had the rock shrimp tempura, which had a great flavor as well. For entrées, we ordered a few hand rolls -- I had the yellowtail, and it was delicious. We also shared the honey walnut shrimp with white rice, and that was a standout. I'd definitely come back just for that. Overall, we had a really great experience and would absolutely come back.

Came in for a birthday dinner and everything was great. The starters were the stars of the show. We got the japanese nachos, crispy rice sushi, rock shrimp tempura, and shishito peppers. The shishito peppers were so refreshing and were definitely one of my favorites. The shrimp tempura was also delicious with a nice light crunch to them. The crispy rice sushi was a second favorite and I loved the chewiness of the rice. As for entree I got the BG roll, which was very refreshing as well, however some of the individual pieces had lots of wasabi in it which I was not expecting. The place itself is pretty dim lit which provides a nice, cozy ambience, and service was really great. Overall a wonderful experience.

LOVE LOVE LOVE I don't even know where to start! This gorgeous restaurant is located in Westheimer Rd, it is like a hidden place because if you drive by you may not see it! It's like New York vibe, hidden, but so chic, it's the type of place that "If you know, you know " Everything here is delicious, and their servers are very knowledgeable, so if it's your first time, don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. It's so beautiful decorated and they offer cocktails and bottles of wine. Come with your girlfriends or for a date or sit at the bar and enjoy their sushi. Reservations recommended.

Came here for happy hour with a friend and I was impressed. On a Thursday afternoon they were pretty slow but the ambiance and decor was sooooo cute. And the food was quality! We ordered some fried rice, the honey potstickers (favorite!), chili garlic edamame (other favorite!) , and two timing sushi roll (sooo filling). The rolls were on the pricier side (not on the HH menu) but they came in a large portion and were actually super filling. I also got a white wine from the HH menu as well. Would definitely want to come back and try some menu items not on the happy hour menu!!

Vibey and trendy sushi with other popular Asian fusion. Great for a date night, girls night out or a mixed crowd. The decor is bold, striking and fun from the cherry blossom trees behind the bar to the abstract mural on the ceiling. It can be a cool backdrop or a topic of conversation. The service generally was decent. The bartender was more engaging and friendly even when we were at our table. He brought our drinks and continued conversation. The food is decent, but somewhat all over the place. This is a good place for the uninitiated as there are a variety of options for those that "don't like/eat sushi". There are more known Americanized Asian fusion options like Kung Pao Shrimp and Shaken Beef. The food took a while coming out so it was a slower paced meal. The rolls were decent sized. The stand out was the melting chocolate cake. Moist cake with decadent chocolate inside and poured on top. It's paired with a large scoop of ice cream and fresh fruits. It's large enough to share. Parking was not intuitive. There were spots in the back of the building that are probably free. Some of us parked across the street, but that's probably not the designated parking either.

Ten Sushi + Cocktail Bar delivers a trendy and inviting atmosphere with great vibes for a fun night out. The decor is cool and eye catching even up to the ceiling. The service was very friendly and attentive. The sushi was fresh and satisfying. The Japanese nachos and crispy rice cakes were both great appetizers. The Kung Pao shrimp had a nice tangy kick and was cooked well, while the shaken beef, though flavorful, didn't quite hit the mark in terms of authenticity. The hamachi crudo was decent, but didn't leave a lasting impression. Dessert, however, absolutely stole the show. The melting chocolate cake was warm, gooey, and indulgent. It was as basically a chocolate lava cake. Paired with ice cream and fresh fruit, it was the perfect ending to the meal.

Great drinks and the shrimp stir fry was bomb! A little spicy. so a heads up for those who can't handle the heat. However, if you do love a good kick, this is the meal for you. I sat at the bar and it was a nice ambience. People kept themselves, but the service went well. It was on the darker dimmer vibe, which isn't quite my thing, however it suited well with the scheme of the decor.

I've been to ten sushi with my girlfriends so many times and I can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot. This is our go to spot for our girl get togethers. First, the ambience is very romantic and sexy. Service is always fast and attentive. Now let's talk about the food. Everything I've tried at ten sushi has been amazing. My favorites have been the chili garlic edamame and the shaken beef filet. I've tried so many of their sushi rolls and they have all been delicious. A major plus is that they also have vegan rolls which is very rare for sushi establishments. Highly recommend!

To me, Ten Sushi is a nice, swanky sushi restaurant. The outside signage is in gold but it really still looks lowkey from the outside to me, which I like. Walking in you are greeted with the chill, low light vibe. There are cherry blossom trees matched with a fuchsia lighting ambiance in areas. From a service stance, I would say that we were provided very solid customer service. I initially tried to open the back door but was waved in towards the other door. When we got in the guy told me that the other door actually does open it's just heavy, which hurt my feelings a lil bit. Getting in and ordering we got the rock shrimp tempura and sea salt edamame for our starters. This was both of our first time having edamame. Quick funny story: I went to the bathroom and the starters made it to the table while I was gone. I come back to find my date has already been eating the edamame so I try some. She eating the whole thing outside and all so I'm like I guess that's how you supposed to do it but my mouth literally told me "ain't no way in the world I'm swallowing this outside husk" after multiple attempts. I eventually looked it up find out you are not supposed to eat it as I thought, which really has me wondering still how TF did she eat that. She also had filled the bowl for discarding the husks with soy sauce, which I also was wondering why they served up this big ass bowl of soy sauce. Upon figuring out how to eat the edamame they were cool though. The rock shrimp were pretty tasty as expected. For the entrees there was a lot of us going back and forth to the side on what to go with. I ended up asking our waiter about the General Ten's Chicken and he pretty much told us that it and the Orange Chicken were very similar but he preferred the Orange Chicken. Given that they put a spin on the name for General Tso's chicken I wanted to give it a chance to see if it was different, but honestly for me it was too sweet and honestly it tasted like orange chicken too much to me. For our sushi options we had the Yellowtail Nigiri and the Spicy Domo Roll. The Yellowtail was cool and the Domo Roll was pretty delicious. This was my date's first time having raw sushi so thankfully she enjoyed both items. I'm not usually one to go for a dessert but since it was my birthday, they had their Mochi Ice Cream for the birthday dessert. I opted for the Strawberry flavor. The serving was relatively small but it was pretty good. Our waiter was helpful and gave his opinion on dish options. I always appreciate someone recommending against something because unless they're trying to get me to buy something more expensive, I know they're giving an honest opinion. Overall the meal to me was cool. I honestly lean more towards a 3.5 rating but since the service was good I'll go up to 4 instead of down to 3.

Came here on a Friday night for a cute little date night! Definitely make a reservation because it was packed inside and even at the bar. The dumplings were probably my favorite thing, steamed to perfection and not soggy because I seem to have that problem and some places. The lychee martini was made to perfection. Everything we tried was pretty good and I would definitely come back here.

The cocktails were very creative and the service was quick. The sushi was good but didn't wow us. Would want to go back to try more of the non-sushi options as that appears to be more of their focus.

We were in the mood for sushi and spontaneously decided to come here! The vibes were as expected--dim light, fun vibes and eclectic decorations. We enjoyed it all. For drinks we got the lynchee martini and I was not disappointed! The food was as expected-fresh, yummy!!, and quick. We left full and happy! Highly recommend the black widow!

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Houston Texas. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing and everything that comes with a bite, melts in your mouth. My favorite drink is the Thai Tai, that taste like a desert in your mouth and of course it has alcohol. We left very impressed and will come back for more! read more

Jay is the best sushi expert not only houston has but texas has. 100% recommendation this location. Beats all sushi locations around. I travel and have not been so satisfied. We sat at the sushi bar and he knew what I wanted and served the point what I and my date wanted. Couldn't be happier than I am. I will be back every week just for this. When I initially went to this place the first few weeks it opened for dinner, the food was so fresh and the service was amazing. The ambiance is super cute for date night or girls night out. I recently went back this week for lunch and the food was not as fresh. It almost had a cafeteria taste to it, the service was still great though. I can say they cut back on cost because the to go containers are small cardboard boxes and the bag is a brown paper bag. Also, during the day there isn't any reserved parking for the restaurant so you have to pay extra and park in the garage in which they don't validate. It will take me some months to revisit this spot since I initially had such high expectations. read more

Ten Sushi + Cocktail Bar is really more of a cocktail bar than a sushi restaurant, in my opinion. For starters, a ton of their menu has non-sushi food, which was frankly even better than the sushi. Don't get me wrong, the sushi was good, but I liked the other Asian-inspired dishes better, particularly the curry noodles, which were super spicy and delicious. Overall, I thought the food was fine (with the exception of the curry noodles, which were great), but I'd pick other spots in town for either sushi or Asian food. read more

So good! We had the firecrackers wontons-and I am a weenie when it comes to spice, but they were absolutely delish! We also had two of the black rice rolls and both were amazing-I think one was called black widow or something like that. It's a small restaurant, and honestly finding the door was a little confusing, but it's gorgeous inside and the seating doesn't feel cramped for how small it is. Would definitely recommend! I plan on going back soon! read more

Came here for their soft opening and was not disappointed. The decor is immersive and incredible, making this a super cute place for date night or to celebrate a special event. We opted for sushi & crudo, all of which were very good. They feature several sushi rolls made with black rice, which is a must try if you've never had it before. Our fave roll was (shockingly) the vegan one, an eggplant roll ... OMG, unreal. Let's just say I've thought of this roll several times since I had it. Service was great, our waitress was super attentive and made solid recommendations. I will def be coming back soon to try their hot food! read more

Made a reservation Friday, for Saturday night (spoke to a guy). Upon arrival they couldn't find our reservation. Very disappointing! We had to go somewhere else since they couldn't accommodate us. Make sure that if you do make a reservation through the phone, They actually put you down on their list. read more

Honestly we loved them when we dined in a few months back but, today was a different story. We spent over $100 getting our food and we did a pick up. We drove about 30 mins there and 30 mins back, to come home to most of our food unfinished. My fiancés salad had the dressing, lettuce, & meat, none of the toppings for his salad. Our sea salt edamame was not salted. Then my chicken i ordered came with a side of rice, they asked what kind & then didn't put it in there. My fiance went back to get rice & it was just a terrible experience. Really unfortunate & things could've been handled better especially since he drove there twice, over 120 mins of driving. Ridiculous. Don't know if we will be back, but DEFINITELY DO NOT order pickup from here, they will give you your food half done. read more

I love this restaurant. I will be going back. The food here is amazing. The greatest part about this restaurant was our server, Julia. She was thorough with the menus, we trusted her choice for us to eat and we were satisfied. The service here tho is amazing. I've been to other restaurants where you just know they don't like serving you, but the ones who made sure to see if everything is good with us was amazing servers. I love Ten Sushi's staff from the host, to the bartenders, Julia and Cole. Thank you guys. Needless to say, the ambience to this place is lovely! read more

I have been here two times and I have been so impressed. My server just last week on Tuesday around 4pm-6pm was Dante and he did a very great job at attending us as well as the busser boy, but I can't remember his name unfortunately! My experience at Ten Sushi was an amazing experience. Let's start off with the initial call to the restaurant. There were no reservations available on OpenTable and my husband called and the person who answered the phone said the sushi bar had seats availability and they would be able to accommodate. The fact that they provided an alternative truly set the tone for what would come next. When we arrived, the ambiance was nice. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice vibe. It is beautiful on the inside. Not a huge restaurant, which made for an elegant and quaint evening. The service was phenomenal. We sat at the sushi bar and our server's name was Stephanie, you want her to be a part of your experience. She was excellent and made great suggestions. On top of that, her personality and energy played a part in our positive experience. THE FOOD: DELICIOUS Chef Andy is at the sushi bar on Fridays and he too was amazing. His sushi suggestion was on point. You must try the golden dragon roll! For an entree, we had the shaken beef. The steak was tender and seasoned very well and the noodles..TASTY! Overall, I will be going back because it's rare that I find a place with top level ambiance, service and food. Plus, there are many more dishes i want to try. Oh, THE DESSERT. I love chocolate and We ordered the chocolate ganache cake with vanilla bean ice cream and I LOVED IT! read more

Alex is always the sweetest with her greetings... the fact she remembered me put an extra smile on my face before dinner.... I was also kindly greeted by Taye who was my server for the night & his service was 10/10... caring, knowledgeable, attentive, and professional... I highly suggest requesting him if you are planning to dine in here... the overall establishment is a beauty and has been my favorite go to spot since i came to houston! I love this new little hot spot. We have been at least 4-5 times. The sushi and rolls have been phenomenal not to mention the delicious cocktails. Unfortunately this last visit, the service was less than par. I was quite disappointed . Our server was just OK; it was taking the food a long time to come out. Our drinks remained empty overall, it was our worst experience yet. I really hope the service turns around. read more

Ten Sushi???? More like One sushi!!!! Horrible Service!!! On Saturday, April 27th. The dinner and ambience was amazing. However, our server spilled Ponzu sauce all over my Louis Vuitton handbag. It took him 15 minutes to claim responsibility and offer some sort of apology. No customer service was offered: no discount on meal or free drink or dessert. Just an "Oh was that my fault?" Yes, it was your fault and he handed me a wet one to wipe down my handbag. Luckily, my handbag was not ruined. I don't know if we'll ever go back. Many other amazing spot for sushi in Houston and surrounding area. read more

Tonight my boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday because we both are sushi lovers (we are picky with our sushi) and we were VERY IMPRESSED with Ten Sushi. The lychee cocktail is phenomenal. We got the crispy rice, BG roll, & El Niño roll. At the end we had a strawberry mochi dessert for his birthday. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The service was wonderful- The waitress Amira was very nice and attentive. The whole vibe of this place is super fun. We for sure will be back. Thank you Ten Sushi for a wonderful night. Hiding in the Galleria of Houston is this beautiful gem of a sushi restaurant where you'll find the sweetest staff, delicious sushi, and the steak was mouthwatering with an addictive shishito compound butter. Recently went to Ten Sushi & I had a great experience! My server Cole was friendly, attentive, & recommended great items on the menu! The ambiance was truly aesthetically pleasing! I'm a gin girl so I started off drinking the "Yuki Mori" which was more on the sweet side & "Shisho Gin to You" was very refreshing! The "Lychee Rose" was by far the best Lychee I've had in Houston! For appetizers we had the "VC Rock Shrimp Tempura" & Chicken gyozas! Amazing! For entrees we had their popular forbidden roll, El Niño roll, & shrimp fried rice! The black rice was a game changer! Tonight was my first time visiting and the ambience was great! It was not too loud and very a welcoming environment. My server was Chelsea who was Exceptional ! If you want good sushi and cocktails I would definitely recommend Ten sushi! The ambience is so fun with modern decor and great music. I will warn you though, it can get a little loud. We enjoyed everything we ordered but the crapy rice sushi appetizer was as the best Iv had!!! It's a must try! Give this place a try for girls night or even date night! read more

Hands down the best Sushi in Houston. Was near the Galleria area today and was in the mood for sushi and this hidden Gem popped up. We were really craving sushi and finally decided to try something new instead of going to the same spots we usually go to. The place is a lot smaller than I thought but has plenty of seating. The ambiance was perfect--sophisticated with a laid back vibe. We started off with the crispy rice, truffle tuna and a few pieces of nigiri (Wagyu, Unagi and a few more). The crispy rice and truffle tuna were amazing. The crispy rice was packed with flavor and the truffle tuna was very well balanced. The unagi was probably my favorite nigiri we ordered. The wagyu nigiri was dry and lacked flavor. The other nigiri was just ok, nothing to rave about. For our entree we ordered the forbidden roll and the shaken beef. The forbidden roll was not very memorable especially because it came out the same time as the shaken beef. The shaken beef was the star of the night. The beef was extremely tender and the glaze was full of flavor. It paired perfectly with the garlic noodles. Lastly, service could've also been better. We asked for another round of sake when we ordered our entrees but the waiter didn't bring it out until we were done with our entire meal. Overall the sushi was ok. Id definitely return to get the shaken beef and try more items on their list of entrees. I definitely don't see myself coming back if I was just craving sushi. Had the opportunity to stop by the new local Ten Sushi here on Mid Ln off of Westheimer . I was truly blown away soon as I walked in as the ambiance was awesome and the tree over the bar was such a nice touch . The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the cocktails were excellent. I had an assortment of sushi and wok. I couldn't believe they were only open a few days when I visited. The rolls were unique and outstanding .
