I went to tender greens to pick up my family meal. My chicken first of all was slimy and raw and sticky. That grossed everyone in my family out. So we decided to get back in the car and return the chicken. The manager argued with me that the chicken wasn't raw or slimy, but the chicken literally sticks together with juices. My daughter bit a raw piece of chicken and it was chewy and I told her to spit it out before she gets salmonella. I can't believe the manager argued with me instead of offering a solution!!! If we get food poisoning i will be absolutely furious that all the manager told me was it's not raw. I didn't even ask for my money back just wanted to get a good piece of chicken to feed my family. Over the years I've seen the quality drop and this pickup order was no better. The green pozole was a disappointment, the broth was flavorful but it hardly had any hominy or chicken and was send without the garnish (cabbage, onions, etc.) The salmon was on the dry side, I live a mile away from the restaurant so it's not a pick up to consume issue. And here's my little trick: I get the salmon with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies to go, and because they give generous portions, i eat the salmon along with some of the roasted potatoes and some of the veggies, and, already full, save the left over roasted potatoes and veggies for the next day when i can just cook some chicken and have potatoes and veggies already ready to go. read more

I remember eating at the tender greens in weho and it was good so when I saw this location I was like yesssss. From the outside I thought it was closed down but then I looked closer and saw people on the inside. The food was good as always and the customer service was on point. The cashier was really nice and even checked in on us. There were some flies inside the place that made it a little annoying to eat as it kept trying to land on the food. Used to go to TG 3 times per week some weeks and always an easy dinner. Decided to grab a lunch today and parked in the usual pick up parking behind the building, promptly met by some greasy young punk that said I had 10 mins. Ok, I understand that people take liberties and stay there for way longer. I go in to order. No one there. Takes me 12 minutes to get out with my takeaway food, to be accosted by this young punk ass that said I owed him $5 for parking as I was over 10 minutes. They had like 12 people working of which half seemed to be the only ones working. Food is certainly mediocre at best now and the parking is a hassle, so forgive me in saying that I'd never come back here. Service took too long considering no one in there, just mobile orders, but I won't be back because of the parking guy that wanted $5 to be paid by Apple Pay. Of course I told him to kiss my ass. He said "don't come back". Haha. The world is full of f'ing losers. I love eating out and helping businesses. This will become another one that closes its doors for sure. I've been to this location a few times and always have good service. One of the staff members who I've seen many times is always so kind and helpful. She always has a smile on her face. Very inviting. The inside of restaurant was slightly messy. There were food containers on two of the table tops, items on the floor. Plenty of staff that were around, but not worried about cleaning up. I came today for take out, and got here around 8pm. I was told they were out of allot of items; so this made it very challenging for me. The main thing was that they couldn't do all white meat. I asked why and the staff member told me they didn't have much left. I ordered the buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes and romaine with the tarragon dressing. The staff member said "oh with the plate I can get you all white meat". I said I thought you were limited and was told well that's for sandwiches. Like...huh? Made no sense at all. I also ordered the steak bowl. When I got home I was so excited to eat, and in an instant disappointment. I got two pieces of dark meat instead of white. I was furious. I won't even eat white meat; hence why I ordered white. The bread was chewy. Not crunch at all. Potatoes cold. My daughters food was fine. Anyways, to pay $40 some dollars and not even get what you want sucks. This was the 2nd disappointment from this location; so I probably won't go to this location again. Solid place for healthy snack drop if you haven't stocked up for fresh salad bits and protein. I still prefer this place over the "healthy" salad places chains.. and appreciative of the different ways they change things up. Highly recommend for salad on the go. Speaking of which: The salmon is still fab. The fried chicken has lost its touch, even worse with the kids meal. Ok the truth is that this location is insane. There was like 20 DoorDash drivers walking in and holding up their phones to the one cashier. She was doing everything that she could. I couldn't believe the rudeness of these people I've been coming to this location for years as I used to work around the corner and a lot has changed, but it is people like Marina the amazing cashier who handled everything with Grace that keep places like this open. Most of the tables were dirty and needed bussing , the bathroom was disgusting as well. The manager walked out of the back and came over to Marina and just grabbed her keys. I even said to her how do we get you some help because it's clear you need another person up here but even to that question, she answered I'm doing the best I can and it's not my manager's fault. I hope that Marina thrives in life and I hope that the manager of this location learns how to manage a failing business. The food here is so great. Go to the WeHo location instead of here. I've given them several chances and they keep producing crap work. The steak is cooked well done every time and the side bread is sooooooo chewy and stale. I am a big fan of Tender Greens. Fresh food in a clean environment with great service at affordable prices. Would I drive across town for it? No. But, I will always pick Tender Greens if I need to grab a meal around an event, and it is in the area. This location almost appears closed from the outside, because there is so much etching on the front windows. Do not be dissuaded - they are open! We came on Sunday for lunch before the Van Gogh exhibit and found a lofty dining room with a few people and a patio in the rear. The food was quick and delicious. DH loved his fried chicken sandwich, and the LO's steak plates were very generous. I was a big fan of the seared tuna with pesto and double veggies. Great quality fish with a lovely fresh sauce were most surprising at this price point ($13.50). The accompanying green beans were perfectly cooked, albeit underseasoned, but salt and pepper is available on request. The sweet peppers were sweet and tender. I would definitely come again. We used to love this place so much, it feels personal how inconsistent and regularly our experiences have been here in the past few years. Shrinking portion sizes, quality of meat, and declining customer service. Yesterday's experience was what prompted me to finally give in and write this review. I ordered via their website at 5:29pm for delivery, and was sent an email confirmation with an estimated delivery of 6:36 PM. A little long, but fine. We had plans that evening but still would allow enough time to eat then go out. At 5:45 we received text notification that Uber Eats was on their way to pick it up. At 6:15 I checked tracking, and it still said the order was waiting to be made. I called Tender Greens, and the person who answered said they didn't receive the order until 5:59pm, and that they "didn't have a driver available anyway". And then she said "our system didn't get the order until 5:59pm... it's not our fault!" So, since it was apparently our fault, we cancelled the order. If this was the first time our customer service here was so poor I wouldn't complain... even if it was the second. But this was just par for the course, but the final nail in the coffin. When it's been good, Tender Greens has been fantastic. But at this point, it's about 50/50 that the food or customer service quality will be okay. TIME I've ordered takeout, they have forgotten to include my sides in the order, and they NEVER send bread when you request it. I usually order a plate that comes with a protein and two sides, and they ALWAYS forget at least one, if not BOTH of the sides, and haven't sent bread once. It couldn't be more frustrating. The delivery apps have always refunded me for the missing items, but Tender Greens has done this so consistently (literally every single time I've ordered) that I'm never ordering from them again.
