While Tendo is known for the sushi I am actually not much of a sushi fan. I had the shrimp teriyaki and was pleasantly surprised on how good it tasted! This meal came with soup and rice which in the end was very filling. I'm looking to go back and try some of other options with a sushi lover to get the full experience. read more

The fish was really fresh and the service was attentive. They have beer, wine, and sake. The special rolls are quite nice!

I ordered from Tendo with my boyfriend on New Years Eve through seamless. We got some rolls, soup, salad, gyozas, and ribs. The wait for delivery said 30 minutes. After 45 minutes we called to see where our order was. The woman on the phone said they were on their way. We ended up waiting ANOTHER 30+ minutes after the woman told us they were on their way. This place is only a 10 minute walk from me. When we finally received our order, the food was cold (even the soup) and lacked flavor. The ribs were dry as a bone with almost no flavoring. read more

super delicious! i've only gotten the salmon teriyaki bento box but it was HUGE and came with soup, salad, rice, shumai, TONS of tempura, a california roll and other things that i am forgetting. easily made two meals for $20. can't wait to try all their sushi--such a nice change from tomo's mediocrity. read more

Servie wasn't fantastic (didn't repeat my order over the phone, was quite brusque in person), but they made our food quickly and I had no real complaints. The sushi is relatively inexpensive and pretty delicious. Overall a good spot if you're not too picky and in the nieghborhood. read more

Ordered takeout from here tonight and got the California and Philadelphia rolls. Soooo delicious. Big pieces of sushi and the soy sauce was not too salty at all it was perfect. The inside was nice and I'll definitely keep ordering from here! read more

Yeaayyy finally I REALLY good sushi place right around the corner! I love their sushi! it's always fresh, I've order for dinner and for lunch and I also had dinner in the restaurant and it was really good every time I've eaten there, and I'm really a sushi fan and eat at least once a week sushi! well, the only thing I really have to complain about is that for dinner, we always had to wait really long for our food, about 20-30 min after ordering for stay-in and once after calling in and ordering for self-pick up we had to wait 45min. But at least it's worth it! I love their special rolls. Every time I go there I order a different one and they're all delicious! Can't wait for tomorrow - it's sushi time again! :) read more

I can only speak for the delivery but I've only had one poor experience where a delivery person left my food hanging on the front door and ran off (I guess it was a busy night?) The Unagi Don is really fantastic, nice big meaty cuts unlike the tiny, bony pieces other places give you. The rolls are also fantastic, always fresh and tasty. The kitchen entrees are standard, nothing amazing but not bad. I only wish the prices were a bit lower but I generally find the quality worth paying for. read more

Im not sure who is writing all these great delivery stories, however i ordered from grubhub at 6:00pm food did not get to until 7:50pm. I called because grubhub said delivery would be there by 6:40ish... was told delivery guy was already out with my order... im only a block away... E-chiban sushi is way better... sushi is fresher and the portions are better... plus they are cheaper! If you are in the area and craving sushi... i recommend calling or going to echiban because these guys are horrible... it seems like they dont care about grubhub orders and they just leave them sitting on the side.. 2 hour delivery for below average sushi ??? Ridiculous.. Never again.. smh. read more

I order from Tendo at least once a week; they're a regular part of my diet lol. never had any problems with staff or delivery guy and food always make it here before the time posted, still hot. Katsu is flavorful and yummy as hell, and they made me realize I really, really like daikon radishes. Sushi is amazing. Try the King Crab and Salmon roll! Salad is pathetic and drowned in some kind of chunky yellow sauce the waitress kept trying to take away. The entrees were small portions imo. Go for the bento. Biggest complaint is the service. Besides trying to snatch everything from the table, they messed up our orders although we were the only ones in the restaurant. I have ordered sushi & salad here countless times. Food is great but the service from my last order was terrible. I accidently put down the wrong address for delivery since I was at my bfs house. I realized too late & the delivery man was at my place. I wasn't too far & the delivery man bugged out. He reacted like a child screaming & yelling through the man, he was so angry I apologized for the inconvenience & he still had a problem with me. I'm the type of person that is very considerate of everybody's jobs & lives, I had no ill intention to make him feel that way & yet he was still rude after apologizing. I was close to not giving him a tip because I had to wait longer half hour for my food, most likely to get back at me. I will no longer order from here again. He was an asshole. It's his job &if he doesn't like doing deliveries then don't do them. read more

I noticed this place about two days ago and decided to try delivery. I was very pleased . Their sushi is fresh and delivery was fast. I suppose since, it was my first time they had to set me up in their system, so it took a little more then usual nothing out of the ordinary. I recommend their Godzilla Roll. Sushi here is def better than Echiban and Sakura IV. It's 3 stars bc it's compared to the other two and there aren't much choices around. The quality of the fish is much better, but it's also pricier, and smaller portions....to the point I think it's a rip off. My husband had food from the kitchen and he liked it. I called and ordered the lunch bento box salmon terriyaki, the salmon was overcooked and extremely small for the price I paid for the food. Very disappointed as this is the focus of the meal. the Shumai were good, and the veggies, too but I am still giving a bad rating for the salmon. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood, but have already eaten here and gotten delivery multiple times. I don't usually eat sushi (I'm a vegetarian...who also hates nori), but the [very friendly] waitress offered to roll it in soy paper without me even asking. I forget the name of what I ordered, but I think it was some kind of asparagus/sweet potato/avocado combo. In any case, that's what I order every time now. It's delicious and fresh. You can get brown rice instead of white without any extra charge. I love this place! read more

Super happy with this sushi - this may be my new go-to. The rice was tender and well cooked and the ingredients were fresh.

I've been to this place a couple of times, I Folsome order delivery and I frankly can't think of anything that has ever stood out in my mind except for maybe the prices; they are a little high considering the fairly small portions that you get! I stick to the basics when I'm at a place like this, so I I am not able to comment on most of the menu but I will say that this place might be worth considering if you are in Ridgewood but don't travel to eat here read more

We're a vegan family in the outer reaches of Ridgewood/Maspeth and man, it's tough out here. There's a slew of restaurants around us, one of which is mostly/all vegan food but we're not a fan AT ALL, and every dang other place has really nothin' for us. Tendo to the rescue! It ain't cheap - the special Veg Rainbow roll is double the price of a regular roll when it's pretty much the same thang just covered in avocado. BUT the veg rolls are delicious and they are careful and caring about our dietary specifications. That means a tremendous amount to us. We've ordered here a couple times in the last month and will continue to be loyal customers! read more

i love their lunch bento boxes. the service isn't great but i think its because of the language barrier. overall, good food.
