    TC House Chow Fun

Comfort Chinese food in a casual interior space. Parking is easy since it's in a shared plaza. When you first walk in, there are two kiosks that you can place your order at. You can then enter the table number you'll sit at or your name so the staff can deliver your food once it's ready. You can request drinks and utensils from the counter or staff may bring it to you. Water and sauce condiments are self serve. My bf and I ordered the chefs special (noodle soup with wontons and roasted duck) and the house special chow fun. Both were good in taste and portion size. The food hit the spot on a cold day.

    Ultimate Bowl

Saw this on a reel on IG and it looked really good so I had to try it out. I ended up getting the ultimate bowl with everything in it and it came out really quick. What stood out the most were the broth, roast duck, and wontons. It was a bit too much with everything and I'd like to try it with just duck/wontons sometime!

Just an okay noodle place. Ordered the ultimate bowl, roughly $21, not including tax and tip. Bowl came out looking very regular, not sure if it lives up to its "ultimate" name, other than the fact that it includes all of their main protein toppings. Base broth wasn't savory, aromatic or flavorful. Wontons and roasted duck were probably the saving grace. In terms of service, Teo Chow was lacking dine-in customer service--it's very much a self-service spot: order your food at the tablets, get your own utensils at the front desk, iced water and sauces at the sauce table near the restroom (and half the sauces are uncovered). Not a very memorable experience and barely an okay place at best.

Since this place is in an industrial area, you definitely want to beat the lunch rush around noon. We went right before the 12 o'clock rush, and orders quickly started piling up, with the line stretching to the door. It's hard to find a place to sit once the lunch rush hits. The broth came piping hot (which I prefer so the entire meal can be enjoyed hot). It reminded me of the broth at TK/Tung Kee/King Noodle- very light and comforting. There was a good portion of noodles and toppings. They also have a sauce bar on the side with jalapeños and different kinds of sauces. I'd definitely go back to try their Chinese lunch plate dishes!

Ho Fun and Thin Egg Noodles with Everything ($15.99)

I had high hopes for the noodle soups here, but I found the flavors pretty bland even with chili oil and other additions. I'm not sure I'd come back for it. PASS: + Ho fun and thin egg noodles with everything ($15.99) had good meats overall except the ground pork was super dry. Broth tasted lackluster

I arrived on a weekday, just before the lunch rush. If you're not on a time crunch, I recommend coming here; it was a great experience for me. It is an open kitchen, and I could see that the staff was working hard to feed the lunch rush. You can order over the counter or from the two iPads. The restaurant provides a sauce bar and drink station where you can serve yourself. I ordered the Ultimate Bowl and the Chef's Special Bowl. The Ultimate Bowl had wontons, wide noodles, fish cake, fish ball, char siu, lean pork, liver (I think), shrimp, and duck meat. I found it to be very flavorful. This was a very hearty meal. The Chef's Special had wontons, wide noodles, and duck meat. The Chef's Special is just the right amount of food for me. I liked both meals.

The quality quality/ingredients offered have gone down while the prices have skyrocketed.

Mongolian "where's the beef" plate aftermath.

We haven't been here for quite some time and I believe it was definitely before the pandemic since. We always thought it was a place that offered solid food with great value. However, our recent visit was not how we remembered it. Prices have definitely gone up but the problem is the quality and value is not on par. They are definitely skimping on the amount of protein in their dishes instead add more of the cheaper ingredients as filler to make it appear substantial. The Mongolian beef for instance had very little meat and as you can see way too much bell peppers and onions to make up which is disappointing. Do they really think people won't notice or care? We do and will hesitate to come back.

I got the spareribs here and they were really good! It was recommended by my coworker and did not disappoint--the saltiness was chef's kiss. I had to wait a bit, but the staff was super nice and kept us informed about the wait time. The place was clean, though it felt more like a takeout spot than a dine-in one. Still, I really loved the dish and will definitely be back to order again!

    Wonton Noodle Soup
    Kailani B.

I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup with ground pork, thin sliced pork, chicken & bean sprouts. It's still really tasty and the broth is very soothing! Probably the best wonton soup I've had yet. I always order this when I'm feeling under the weather.

Teo Chow Noodle Shack is a solid local Chinese joint. The ultimate bowl which consists of bbq pork, wontons, fish cake, duck, shrimp, and ground pork is so good. I like to get the 2 different types of noodles. The broth itself is already flavorful, but I love how they have a bunch of different condiments on the side that you can also grab and enhance your food with such as: soy sauce, fish sauce, chilis, chili oil, vinegar, etc. Apparently they can run out of duck during peak hours, so it might be best to call them ahead of time and confirm -- I didn't have any issues the few times I've been though. The first time I came here with my sister, the staff even offered us more broth if we needed it. It seems like not a lot of people dine in here, and most do takeout. I'll definitely be back to try their other dishes.

    Chili Basil Chicken
    Janet R.

The ultimate and the chicken basil with rice were some of the best dishes that I have ever had in my life! The portions are crazy here and you can't miss out on their chili oil and vinegar that they provide in the back. I felt as though I kept eating more and more meat and it was never ending! This place is so worth every dollar that you are spending, it is just so good!

    Ray P.

Back here for the second time and the food did not disappoint. Had the exact same experience from my first time. I ordered the ultimate bowl but this time I decided to try the salt and pepper spare rib from a recommendation. The ultimate bowl was great as my first experience however those salt and pepper spare rib was a hitter. Crispy, flavorful and not overly oily. This has got to be another one of my favorite dishes there. Can't wait to try their other dishes.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking.
