I live on Maui and when my family and friends visit, an excursion on Teralani is a must! I took friends out yesterday and Roland, Gaven, Conor and Captain Matt did not disappoint. It was a windy day and they still found two great spots to snorkel at, provided a yummy bbq lunch and made sure us guests had a wonderful trip. They are super friendly and helpful while maintaining a safe environment. Captain and crew were professional and personable. We were taken to a premium snorkel spot where we enjoyed seeing a large number of turtles and fish, including a shark. Both the guys was Patrick and I believe the others name was Bryce! REBEKKAH from photography was so amazing. I apreciated her being willing to photograph what ever anyone needed, in fact she perked up when someone would ask for specific pictures. She was so kind and even made conversation before the sail even started. I felt like she truly cared whether your photos came out nice and truly compared to the pictures that were taken of me and my spouse on a cruise last year to these? I bought these so fast and could totally see the value of it. She made the trip so worth it to me to have beautiful pictures of me and my BF as we typically travel alone and don't have anyone to help us take a picture ABSOLUTELY best food of my trip so far, I finished my entire plate and kicked myself for not asking for more. The crew was so kind and informative. Drinks were great, connections from crew to passengers was really amazing. If they had something in common with you they were quick to take time to indulge with you over it. They gave amazing location info right as you began to ask others around you what island they thought it was. Very intuitive to everyone's needs. After 1 trip out it definitely felt like this may be what I want to do for the rest of the trip!! 10/5 stars all around!!! We did a sunset dinner cruise and had a wonderful time! The boat was spacious, the weather was perfect, and the crew was so knowledgeable and friendly! Decent price for the experience. I am not sure this is something I would do everytime I come to Maui but it was definitely worth checking out if you haven't done one of these before. Very fun, friendly and knowledgable crew. The first swim stop had a great variety of fish, urchins and coral. Some also saw turtles. Great experience. Downside, the pitch on the "steps" to get back on the boat require some strong muscles because it appears to be 15 inches or higher. I had to have crew help getting back on the boat because at 70+ and two fake knees I didn't have the ability without help. I elected not to do the second dive for that reason. Plus side, we could see fish and turtles right from the boat so those who don't dive/swim can still enjoy. Awesome! Would recommend for those athletic types. read more

This experience is a MUST!!! We went out today with Gavin and the rest of the gang today and it was amazing! The boat ride to the reef was relaxing. Once we arrived, we were able to snorkel right away. We spent about an hour in the water and saw turtles, tons of fish and sand sharks (harmless). After snorkeling , we had a delicious lunch (pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw, coconut shrimp, quinoa salad, and delicious pineapple. The "Gavin a good time" drink was delicious! After this amazing lunch, we had the option to spend another half hour in the water. Then, we went out to look for a couple whales on our way back to the beach. We spotted a mama with her baby! Such an added "bonus" since it's a little late for whales! I highly recommend this experience if you're visiting Maui and want to get the best value for your money! read more

Sunset cocktail - Valentines Day Trip felt short but was overall great! Captain and deckhands were very helpful, informative and funny but I've never met a bar tender (let alone one who works on a boat on Maui) that hated their life/job more than the one on the valentines sunset cruise. After speaking to other guests on the boat, we felt he was probably good at all of his other duties which required no interpersonal skills. It felt like we were inconveniencing him making our drinks. Not sure if you can train kindness but hopefully he has a better day than he was having. read more

I was looking for an activity that we could do with our toddler (14 months) and so many things (shark diving, snorkeling, parasailing, helicopters) didn't seem like a good fit for us, so we booked a sunset cruise on the Teralani with Captain Ron. Wow, I'm so glad we did, as it was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful evening, wind in our hair, good appetizers, great drinks. Sam and Tylea (I'm so sorry I forgot the spelling and I know that's not right) were so attentive! As I'm pregnant, I couldn't enjoy any of the cocktails, but the girls brought me mocktails that were great! Bri was our on board photographer. She did such a great job and took a beautiful picture of my son that made me tear up when I saw it! We haven't had a chance to take any family pictures while in Hawaii so we appreciated her help! Booked a 10am whale watch and Joel, Briana and Julie were amazing. Even though we went out early in the season and Joel said we might not see any whales, we saw 5-6 whales breach the surface. It was also the 2 year anniversary of my dad's passing and I asked if I could throw a lei into the water for him. Briana was so sweet, she led me to the back of the boat and let me go down the steps to the diving platform so I could be at the water level. Then she took pictures for me and gave me a quiet moment to talk to my dad. I will be forever grateful for her compassion and grace. My husband and I went on the Snorkeling Adventure on the 28th and had a fantastic time! The crew - Bama, Connor, Alaina, and Rebecca were so incredible! My husband loved the mai tai's, I loved the grilled-on-boat hot dogs and the snorkeling places were incredible. All the crew were very accessible and kind when answering questions or just having conversations. We saw turtles, dolphins, many fish, and others saw a shark! Teralani 5 was a highlight on our trip to Maui this week. This is the 3rd trip we have taken to Maui since the Lahaina fires. We were in town a bit earlier than the official whale watching season. Teralani offered a good price and so we booked. You meet at the noted location at 12pm, at 12:30pm, they have checked everyone in and we are now boarding the catamaran. It was a perfect day for us to do this. Saturday on 12/9/23. Everyone working for Teralani were nice and informative and want to make sure we are safe and enjoying what we paid for. Additionally, they offered free drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) on board. We didn't think they would but it was a very nice surprise and we didn't have to pay extra. Very clean catamaran and the crew constantly was around for us to ask questions or get another drink. We were able to see whales and it was a magnificent sight. Much recommended. read more

We've sailed with Teralani for years. Solely the Sunset dinner cruise since it's right outside our hotel. The kids loved it when they were younger. And now it's just us two but we still love the vibe. Honestly the food once upon a time was very mediocre but this last trip the food was amazing. Don't know if new caterer or just a menu change but everything was delicious. The staff including Captain Patrick were all very hospitable making our sail the highlight of our day. We just returned from the 5 hr snorkel/ sail adventure!!! What an amazing time my wife n I had.... Not to mention everyone else on the boat!!! The crew, Julia ( the captain) Sami, Danielle ( Dani) and last but certainly not least Owen were so friendly and attentive and FUN!! We have been on quite a few different boats over the years all of them good.... But these guys I rate at 10/10.We're looking forward to the next time when we return to Maui first on our list (aside from) enjoying the beautiful island n the people will be to set sail on TERALANI again for a day of snorkeling... and will try to sneak in a sunset cruise as well .
