On the Teralani 5 snorkeling trip. No disappointment here folks. We've been coming for 24 years and snorkeled everytime on other vessels as well, but this time the Teralani 5 and crew were excellent. Captain Patrick, and his tight knit crew were on it from the get-go. Super friendly, super helpful, and very professional. Everything you would want on your snorkeling trips. If you ever get the chance to do a snorkeling trip on Maui, this is the catamaran I suggest that you take. Amazing premiere snorkeling trip yesterday ! Thanks to Captain Rod; Freddy, Anna & the other lovely ladies who were on the crew! It was supposed to be two snorkeling locations but weather limited it to one excellent spot. Instead we spent the rest of the day whale watching and we saw tons of humpbacks close up. Magical experience on the dinner cruise. Ship crew were amazing, friendly and generous. Drinks kept coming... no limit there! Food, well, it's what you would expect. Service was phenomenal as well as the ships Captain. We were extremely lucky enough to spot a momma and baby calf Humpback whale. Every January we visit Maui and every year we take our kids on a day snorkeling trip on a Teralani boat. We've had nothing but great experiences on the Teralani. The crew this year was great. Captain Tanner , MC/tour guide Freddie, Kama'le, Anna were all great hosts and crew members. We enjoyed snorkeling in a new area this time (since the weather was perfect). We were able to see lots of fish and turtles. The informative chats on whales as we sailed back looking for them was great. We will be back next year for another adventure. I have been on three different dinner cruises with Teralani Sailing. I love the crew they are always so fun & accommodating. We were on a girls trip this time & some wanted another cruise. They were SO pleased we went with Teralani. First, we missed the boat. Captain Dom came back for us. We were there, by 4:00, but check-in was 3:30. It's a little confusing, so be sure to give yourself a little extra time to park and find where you check in. I don't remember them having a latter cruise, but they must have. I would choose that one just because it rushes your day. One of my friends said she liked the cruise better then the luau. Ava, Captain Dom, Nick, and Monte made it a special night with their warm hospitality & Aloha spirit. We saw spinner dolphins & a whale training her baby. Plus another whale. We cruised past Lahaina and then watched the sunset. An appetizer is served to you in a cup as you are sitting on the top deck with your drinks and look at the beautiful views. Then they serve you dinner on plates while you sit at the little tables. The food is good--it is not gourmet, but I was satisfied. For me nothing beats being on the beautiful ocean with that beautiful blue water. It's a different way to explore Maui & a lovely sunset. The crew is warm & friendly. They really do go above & beyond to make sure everyone has a great time. We really can't THANK Captain Dom enough for coming back for us we really do appreciate it. We had a great time today with the crew from the Teralani 5 Catamaran. We chose the 5 hour snorkeling excursion that started off at 9:30am from Ka'anapali Beach in front of the Outrigger Condos. Captain Patrick did a great job explaining what to expect for the day and made sure that everyone on board knew all the safety features on the boat. The Catamaran is a 60 foot long and 30 foot wide luxury yacht with full service bar and food service. They prepared a nice continental breakfast with coffee , rolls, muffins and fruit. Lunch was hamburgers, hot dogs , a couple of salads and chips. They had an open bar with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. They provided full snorkeling equipment, floats and kick boards for every person to use. Plenty of storage for bringing our own snorkeling equipment and gear. Crew were attentive and always ready to help if needed. We motored up to Honolua Bay and spent the morning snorkeling. Lots of tropical fish, turtles and spinner dolphins. The boat has two ladders in the back which made entry and exits quick and easy. Photography was done by River who took amazing photos for everyone on the boat. I loved the fact that I didn't have to drive all the way to the marina near the aquarium. They picked us up right on the beach near Whalers Village!!!! You will need to scurry along to board if waves are spicy but so worth the local pick up. My friends just wanted a boat ride and got quite a bit more. We saw numerous whales (even one mother breaching followed by her baby trying to copy her!), the crew offered information on animal life, served plenty of drinks, and offered a professional photography service if desired. The sunset was not cooperating but it didn't matter as the views of the islands and water were heavenly. Grab a spot up in the front of the cameraman to get the full feel of the waves read more

We were referred to take "a" sailing boat trip around the ocean outskirts of Lahaina and the small surrounding beach resort towns. The concierge at our resort chose the Teralani...I didn't do my research on the other companies I just went with it and booked the sunset horderves and unlimited alcoholic drinks sailing trip for our family. We've come to Maui every year and this is the first sailing trip we've done...Wow all these years we've been missing out! Teralani 4 crew was Murph, Nick and Patrick our driver...I have to say this crew was AWESOME! They were knowledgeable about whale season and they were able to answer many if not all the questions that they were asked.they made awesome drinks and had a pretty decent spread of hordeserves. Thank you all for just being great human beings and lovin what you do...if you take this boat don't forget to tip these guys at the end they will have a tip box when you dock...these guys deserve a little extra bu The drinks and music on board were great! The sunset was amazing and all the whales and babies we saw out in the ocean was just an experience we will never forget! We went snorkeling in the Honolulu Bay Area. On our trip we saw a variety of fish and some sea turtles. We were blessed to see a pod of dolphins. Our crew was Nick, Josh Julie, and Marie. Julie made an educated guess and said the pod of dolphins probably had a pregnant female since they are rarely seen in the area. Nick and Josh were super friendly and Marie did a mean job in the grill and served us drinks. My daughter Madison especially loved doing the leap of fate off the side of the boat. Yep...they did it...a well deserved five star review. To start with they are close to Kāʻanapali so easy to get to if you are staying at one of the resorts there. They seemed to be affiliated with Outrigger so have an agreement to use the Outrigger parking garage for only $8 which had plenty of easy parking. We were on the Teralani 5 (sailing catamaran) with Captain Patrick. Hotel valet directed us on where to go. Check-In was super easy and then we did a beach boarding near the Outrigger. Once on board the crew took care of us like VIPs. Started by getting everyone a cup of water to stay hydrated, nice touch, then handing out equipment to anyone who needed it. Motored away from the beach while the Captain gave his briefing. The captain seems to be on Aloha time because his 2 minute briefing is not 2 minutes...hehe...anyway... Continental breakfast was the usual breads & fruit & juice & Starbucks coffee. Well, Starbucks wasn't usual. Our sail had two stops (captain's choice) both beautiful locations. Snorkeled the first location then motored to the other. BBQ lunch and snorkel at the second location. They opened the gate on the second deck for brave souls (like my grandson and me) to jump into the ocean. So much fun. On the way back to the beach they put up a sail and sat on the front net and enjoyed the quiet, wind powered (no motor) trip back. Had a first day crew member (Phillip) who seemed to go out of his way to make us feel like ohana. I think he chose a good boat to work on. A cool bonus (which had nothing to do with the planning or the boat) was we happened upon a pod of about 40 or so spinner dolphins. They swam next to, then crossed in front of us several times and a couple rode the bow wake at about 10-12 knots for several minutes. You can't plan things like that, just lucky. Okay the snorkel trip was pretty much like most others, good communication, good safety procedures, professional captain & crew and a nice boat. The difference on the Teralani 5 was the culture. They treated their guests and each other like ohana and VIPs. The culture seemed to be "welcome to our boat and how may we take best care of you." Food, service, Open Bar, questions, whatever we can do for you we will. Everything was included once you were onboard. (Photos from the professional photographer were optional at a reasonable price.) All boats go to basically the same locations, but what sets the Teralani 5 apart is the crew and how they put forth the extra effort towards their guests. We will certainly work to get onboard with them again next year when we return. read more

I was very impressed at how attentive the staff was to everyone's needs. I felt very safe at all times. While snorkeling, we saw sea turtles and other fish. Highly recommend! Our crew was Sam, Anna, and Julia. They were amazing! Captain Sam was funny and had tattoos for the kiddos. I ended up getting seasick, but Julia and Anna took not only great care of me but helped my husband wrangle our FIVE kids while I was in the back of the boat trying to come back to life! Anna jumped off the boat with my little girls and walked us back to our car after we were finished. We didn't exactly get off the boat where we got on the boat. Such an experience and adventure! Took the family for this dinner cruise just a few hours ago. Would do it all over again x 100!! Sammi, Bryce, Captain Bama and Julia were top notch. They were very thorough with rules and safety for everyone on board. They were constantly patrolling around to see if everyone was doing well and were happy. Dinner was chicken or Mahi Mahi, purple whipped yams , quinoa and green beans. My kids are a little on the picky side but still tried it and a big thumbs up! Captain Bama had a variety of music playing for everyone. Saw some flying fish too! Of course the photo ops were amazing as usual. There is someone there who takes photos on board. Early morning we drove to the next beach where was our catamaran, we had scheduled 2 hours sail over the warm waters of Hawaii to watch the whales, this is the time of the year they come here from Alaska to reproduce. It's warm and safe water for them. No predators like orca, so they stay for around 2months and then come back to Alasca, the day was perfect We had the opportunity to admire many who even waved at us.
