This place is a hidden GEM! It's not a chain restaurant, so you can easily miss it if you aren't looking. Better run, run, run here now that you know about it though!! THE FOOD: 10/10 Teriyaki Chicken Plate and Fried Rice - WOW! The sauce coating the teriyaki was the touch of perfection on my tastebuds! This plate is the reason why the restaurant is called Teriyaki Chicken (in my honest opinion because it is a GOLD dish!). The fried rice also wasn't burnt and each rice added flavor to my teriyaki chicken. 3/10 Stir-Fried Broccoli - On the other hand, this broccoli was crunchy and hard to chew. The sauce seasoned on top of the broccoli created this sour sensation on my tastebuds. It wasn't pleasant and I couldn't finish the side. 8/10 Tonkotsu Ramen - Delicious and the broth was straight to the point. Perfect for your throat on a cold day! 10/10 HOT Edamame - Hot as in temperature-wise. The salt definitely added the need electrolyte kick that I needed after running a 5k in the morning! Not busy on a Monday afternoon. Great ambience and lighting! Large parking lot shared with CVS Pharmacy and other businesses. This is a hidden gem in Sugarland!

I enjoyed a filling, tasty pork katsu bento box here on a Friday evening. For around $16, the bento box came with crispy pork katsu, curry, rice, potato salad, shrimp tempura, fried veggies, and California rolls. There was a generous amount of crunchy, breaded pork katsu, which was deliciously paired with curry and rice. The California rolls were a hit also, with plenty of imitation crab meat. The restaurant itself is located in a strip mall in Sugarland with plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself looks newly renovated. Service was prompt despite a busy evening. Overall, I would recommend this place looking for a tasty meal in the area.

We were shopping at First Colony Mall and came by for a late lunch. My husband was happy with his salmon bento box. Please note that they do not serve miso soup and a salad with it. The salmon was tender, and the tempura shrimp was hand breaded and the most tender I've ever had. The Korean seafood pancake was a little doughy for me, so I will try something else the next visit.

So happy we found this place, it's quick and healthy, price is very reasonable, quality of food is fantastic! We got the teriyaki salmon plate and teriyaki salmon bento , the size of the salmon is filling, salmon is well marinated and seasoned; the sides that come with the orders are delicious as well. Miso soup is great, I love there's plenty of mini tofu and seaweed in there, not just the broth. Service is okay, but there's only one server here on a Sunday night. She looked a little overwhelmed. Ambiance is calming and comfortable, way more comfortable than a usual teriyaki place.

A super cute, quick and local venue with lots of tasty options and wonderful service. Love that they have local art hanging up inside. We enjoyed the chicken curry and shrimp curry. Egg rolls were also delicious and came out piping hot! I'm sure we'll be back.

I got the spicy chicken teriyaki and my husband got the katsu curry. The spicy chicken delivered just enough spice for me without being overly spicy. It was good and the portion size was just right. I'm not sure I would ever crave this but I do like that they put a slight Korean spin to Japanese food. The Katsu curry was your standard Japanese curry. Overall, food is good especially if you are craving some teriyaki.

Very good flavor and nice portion. Teriyaki shrimp fried rice with vegetables. Temperature of the food was excellent. Even the children where enjoying their food. I found good egg rolls cooked to profession. I was seated immediately. Family owned atmosphere, with trended decor. Small bar area and the ambiance was cozy.

The food was fresh and delicious! Nice chill atmosphere, with good music and ambience.

He's been telling me about this place for a while, so I came in already expecting great sushi, and it definitely delivered. First off, they have all-day happy hour, which is always a win. We started with the yellowtail sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful such a great way to kick things off. For drinks, he ordered a Legend Old Fashioned, and I went with the lychee martini... and yes, I had two because it was that good light, slightly sweet, and super refreshing. For our rolls, I got the Hot Momma roll and he had the Julie Crunch roll. Everything came out perfectly fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put care into both the quality and the experience. Also, shoutout to Emilio he was so sweet and attentive throughout the night and really made the experience even better. Between the food, drinks, and the overall vibe, this place checked all the boxes. I can 100% see this becoming one of our regular date night spots going forward. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great sushi and a relaxed atmosphere!

He was quick and easy to talk to. He explained that all you can eat special is everything on the menu except for whatever's out of ingredients and drinks. The menu has a picture of every dish except for the drinks. I really appreciate this a lot because I'm a visual person. All the food was as expected. My favorite was the baked scallop. Their sushi tacos were nice and crispy, it was interesting but it was big and kind of hard to eat in one bite. I kind of nibbled it around. They also had fried rice nigiri, as in the piece of rice was deep fried and topped with salmon or tuna. This was also interesting to eat. They also had udon as a part of their ayce but I'll save that for next time. Along with lots of baked scallops. Decorwise, the lights were nicely dimmed and I liked the scales lamps above us. Furniture was stable. And there's free parking out front.

Our server came to check on us quite a few times in the beginning to check if we wanted to order more but we didn't even receive our first order of food yet. Then we ordered desert which was the oreo tempura and a few scoops of ice cream. The ice cream came right away but then we waited another 20 mins when our waitress came back again and we had to ask her about the oreo. After that.. She had us wait for another 20 minutes for the check and I had to call the server from the next section to get our check. I've watched another section served by a different server who was very attentive and brought their dishes out right away when they would order things after us. It was disappointing.. Food is good and I like their many options. I wouldn't say it is the best but the fish does taste fresh. Many of their rolls contained the wasabi sauce which my partner wasn't a big fan of. Many of the rolls tasted like it was drowned in this sauce. I didn't get to take a picture of every order. The lo mein was not good, I'm not use to having lo mein with the noodles they make it with. Overall, I can see why this place is very popular but it won't be my go-to for AYCE sushi compared to another place that I like more that's nearby. I don't think I'll be coming back though as I was very displeased with the service.

While they don't offer lakeside seating, there are plenty of options inside the spacious, two-story restaurant. On the weekends, they indicate "No lunch AYCE" - don't be confused by the wording like we were. This only means that they don't offer the "lunch price" AYCE on the weekends. No biggie, as the dinner price/menu was perfectly fine and opened up more options for us to order. Lunch price AYCE does not offer sashimi (nigiri only), whereas dinner price AYCE has the whole menu as fair game. Some of the menu items do have limits, like the toro (1 piece/adult AYCE). Additionally, each person can order a max of 10 nigiri or sashimi per round. You also only get 1 serving of dessert per AYCE. They also have a silly rule of $0.50 per uneaten rice for nigiri; I suppose this encourages folks to fill up on rice in the nigiri, as sashimi is not an option during weekday lunch AYCE. Our party of 5 ordered a multitude of items on the menu. The fish quality was definitely there and everything tasted fresh. We ordered a few rounds of the seared nigiri, specialty nigiri, and sushi towers. Standouts were eel/unagi sashimi, crunch garlic & scallion salmon nigiri, seared Kobe beef nigiri, seared tuna nigiri, and seared yellowtail nigiri. These were the ones we ordered multiple rounds, but we made an honest attempt to at least try as much of the menu offerings as we could. If only our stomachs had more room! I will say the hot/cooked items (bulgogi, galbi, beef skewer) could have been better...but what can you say, this is a sushi restaurant. That doesn't speak for all of the hot items. I really liked the basil chicken nuggets (Taiwanese popcorn chicken) and vegetable tempura; the shrimp tempura was also a hit at the table. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive throughout our time. At times we'd forget what we had ordered of the many items, so he'd swing by the table once the food was brought out to tell us what's what, and who ordered what. Excellent service! For AYCE sushi, Oma is definitely on top of its game. I've been to a few others around Houston, and this one stands out as one of the premium ones in my opinion. The Hawaii roll was a bit too mushy. Overall, wouldn't recommend the rolls when you can eat the nigiri Salmon/eel/salmon belly/yellowtail nigiri were great! I tried the squid nigiri which was SO slimey I wanted to throw up. I am not sure if that's the typical texture but I don't recommend. The octopus was very fishy in taste. The service was quick and friendly. The place was very clean. They played a video on a screen that we were facing that had a first person view of walking through Japan...probably Tokyo. This looked like legit matcha rather than just tea bags in hot water. For the meal, we had tonkatsu ramen and the spicy duck ramen. We loved them both. The tonkatsu wasn't fried in a batter. It was thinly sliced with nice carmelized edges--very good. The duck was amazing! Next time, we'll try some sushi.

It was good, flavorful, and had a nice spice level but it wasn't wowing. My boyfriend and I shared the General Tso's chicken, and that was a 10 out of 10. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. It came with white rice and everything paired really well together. This is the second place I've gone to that has great General Tso's chicken, and that is definitely a compliment. I would absolutely order it again. We also tried the "Honey moon" appetizer which is a stuffed jalapeño. It had crab and cream cheese with eel sauce. The jalapeño was too crunchy for me, my preference is to have it softer but I feel like the flavor wasn't really there. One of the standout appetizers was the beef tongue from the appetizer menu. That was a 10 out of 10. It came with a sauce on top that was really good and brought everything together perfectly. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer as well. The shrimp itself was decent, but the fried coating tasted like the oil wasn't very fresh. It was crunchy, but the flavor of the oil came through, so I'd rate that about a 5 out of 10. We also ordered fried calamari . I'd rate that around a 6 out of 10. It was okay, but when you bit into it, the octopus would slide out and leave you mostly with the fried outer crust, and the crust itself wasn't that flavorful. The ambiance was beautiful, very clean, modern, and nicely designed. It felt comfortable and well put together. Service was fine, nothing that stands out.
