If you've been to the south and had Seasons of Japan before, this is very reminiscent of that. I ordered the spicy chicken bowl which was super tasty although it lacked spiciness. I also thought they went very light on the veggies other than the cabbage. I ordered my food to go but while I waited I did notice how chilly it was inside the restaurant. The lobby was very clean and the cashier taking my order was kind and very patient as I had never been here before and was trying to decide between two different meals. The restaurant was moderately crowded but it was also a bit later in the evening on a weekday which I'm sure had something to do with the lack of people inside. I was very disappointed by my last trip to Teriyaki Madness on June 14, 2026. Although I have enjoyed their food in the past, their food quality has taken a sharp drop, especially the fried rice. I ordered the chicken bowl with fried rice. There was very little chicken and lots of rice and veggies, but the rice was gummy and almost wet. I got about 5 small pieces of chicken and paid over $20. I ate the chicken, which was at best OK, but I could not finish the rice because it was extremely soggy and bland. I ended up eating the chicken and tossing away the rest of the rice and veggies. 2020 is a crazy year and we're only now getting adjusted to the new normal. Luckily our restaurants are still open. Even if its at a limited capacity. Which is the first thing you'll notice when you come to this Teriyaki Madness. They take enforcing social distancing seriously. There is no sit down portion of the restaurant. You come in and you order and be on your way. Which is a plus for all of us still trying to maintain as much distance as we can from anyone who might potentially carry the virus. The service is also top notch. I was greeted by a very sweet cashier who even offered to take my order outside for me if I preferred to wait in my car so I didn't have to wait in an already cramped waiting area. I took her up on it and not much later she came out with my order. Score! The food was good. I ordered a small steak bowl and my wife ordered a large chicken bowl. The size difference between a small bowl and a large bowl is almost comical. So if you want to feed a 4 year old get a small order other than that maybe get a larger size. Love the style of crab rangoon they make, and the two protein bowl with noodles is my perfect takeout because I can try multiple things! A very negative experience. I placed an online order for pickup at the Decatur and Sahara restaurant, (South Pavilion location), on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 8:00 pm. My order was double protein bowl and a Jr Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. My husband picked up the order, and when we got it home, we found out that the restaurant had given us Orange Chicken instead of Teriyaki Chicken. When we called the restaurant, at 8:45 pm, the phone rang multiple times and went into a voice mail that was full. That's no way to run a business. I called 2 other Teriyaki Madness locations at 8:50 pm to confirm the phone number to the Decatur and Sahara location and they said they didn't know it, but at least, that picked up their phones and spoke with me. It makes me think that the Restaurant staff does not want to deal with calls so close to the end of their day, and purposely let the full voice mail deal with the calls. I'm assuming that the restaurant ran out of Teriyaki chicken and Devi to substitute with whatever they had left, but If the restaurant ran out of certain food items at the end of the day, they should call the customer (the phone number is in the paid online order) and give them an option to select something else, this only takes a minute. This incident makes customers loose confidence on the restaurant's willingness to fill the paid order honestly & properly. I get it, is Sunday night and they want to go home, but you can't put a price on the good word of mouth of a satisfied customer. I won't be placing anymore online orders at Teriyaki Madness restaurant on Decatur, at the end of the day. I generally like Teriyaki Madness food but I'm giving them one Star because of the fact that they're not available by phone near closing time. :( read more

I always have liked Teriyaki Madness - never experienced a problem with them paying attention to the details. I ordered my food online and went to pick it up during my lunch break. I come back to the office and open up my order - SURPRISE - there's carrots in my bowl. I happen to be allergic to carrots, hence why I asked for no carrots (IN ALL CAPS). I decided to just eat a few pieces of chicken and rice, but the carrots were throughout the rice, so I stopped eating the bowl. Shortly thereafter, while I was at work, the reaction kicked in and I had to leave to go to the hospital/ER. Once I was released to go home, I did not feel up to returning to the store for another order. I did call the store back and spoke to Jasmine. She was very nice and listened to me as I tried to explain what happen. I asked to speak to a manager, was told she would have to call me back. I asked for manager (first) name, and was told they could not give me that information due to HIPPA. Ok - so how do I know it's the manager and not another employee when I get a call back??? Was told that the manager would identify herself as "manager from teriyaki". I appreciate TM caring about the safety and security of employees and staff - but I don't understand why the same concern could not be extended to the customers?? SMH. My $8.00 teriyaki bowl ended up costing me lost wages for having to leave my job, medical expenses, not to mention the allergic reaction!!! This is a great place to go if you want juicy, tender, and flavorful Chicken Teriyaki. Initially I ordered my meal as a take-out. The wait isn't that long and the meal is cooked hot and fresh with quality ingredients. When they delivered the takeout order to my table, I'm thinking I'd probably be better off just dining in because I am super hungry. I chose the Chicken Teriyaki Plate ($8.99) with Brown Rice and Stir-Fry Veggies. Also I got an order of Chicken Yakisoba ($7.99) and Unsweetened Iced Tea ($1.99). The quantity portions of meat and veggies are so worth the price. However I do wish they had given a little more brown rice to enjoy with the Chicken Teriyaki. Now with the Chicken Yakisoba, my only concern is that the noodles were lacking flavor. I had to request the thick Teriyaki sauce to mix into the noodles and make it taste better. As a result, the thick sauce did make the meal more enjoyable. What I am most happy is how family-oriented the service is. There is a kind and elderly gentleman who is always looking out for the customer. He makes sure the restaurant is tidy and clean, and he goes above and beyond in hospitality. My newest obsession is Teriyaki Madness!! I love the teriyaki tofu served on top brown rice and paired with veggies. The tofu is perfectly crispy and brown on the outside. I can always tell that the food is freshly made. Teriyaki sauce is plentiful here with a bottle at each table along with hot sauce and soy sauce. Get the regular chicken bowl with veggies and brown rice, add on a drizzle of sriracha, and you've got a solid lunch or dinner with good macros (31P/73C/9F) and a huge portion that could satisfy the Hulk. This location is new and seems to blend in despite the signage- same building as Starbucks, with patio seating. Menu is fairly limited but I never get anything but the order above. If you get takeout be sure to ask for their Sriracha packets, since they're kept behind the counter. read more

I just tried this place two days ago, and I've been here two twice since. I'm health conscious and I normally prepare my own food but I was running late to work and didn't have time to prepare a lunch; thus, I ended up here. I liked this place for the healthier options and because they have vegetarian friendly tofu. What I really like is that you can load up on veggies! The first time I opted to add noodles for an extra $1 (along with the tofu and veggies) but today I went straight tofu and veggies. I got the junior size bowl because I wasn't feeling too hungry but if you want a more satiating meal, I'd go with the regular sized bowl. The first time I came here it was very busy so my to-go order did take a while. I went today and my order was ready within five minutes. The pricing is pretty standard I'd say. Nothing crazy expensive or cheap. You can add in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and/or sriracha but honestly, without any of those, there isn't much flavor. I'm not really big on condiments so personally I'd prefer more flavor from the food itself. Overall, I'm sure I'll be back again but it might not be my very first choice for Asian-styled food. read more
