Very rude bad customer service. Will not be back.

Horrible service. Came in on Thursday afternoon 7/9. Waited to place a Togo order. Staff just ignores everyone in line. Taking orders of people that that came in after me for dine in. Ask the guy at the front if I can place an order. He just waves me off and acts like I'm not standing there. - 5 stars

Spicy eggplant & seafood hot pot

Late night dinner to eat some 'down-home' comfort food. Salted fish w/ minced pork meat cake in hot clay rice pot (forgot picture) so yummy!!! Order as soon as you sit down because it takes a while to cook. Worth the wait!! Waiter was patient & accommodating. Food came out hot & delicious. Worth the wait! Also got spicy eggplant & seafood tofu hot pot. Mmmmm.

I typically get their hainan chicken rice plate, fried chicken wings, dried scallop and egg white fried rice, and a side of lemon iced tea. Their hainan chicken rice has a side of seasoning to dip the chicken in, as well as their seasoned rice which makes it super flavorful. The chicken wings are also super crispy and soft on the inside. And their scallop and egg white fried rice always tastes super authentic. I love that this place closes super late so it's always a perfect place to grab a late night snack/ dinner, or even to catch up with friends late at night. It's always super busy whenever I come (whether it's dinner time or late at night). We always get seated super fast despite the busy environment. The servers are always super attentive, fast, and always refills our drinks when it's empty (the lemon iced tea is refillable)!. I also love the decor inside: it's really nostalgic and pretty. Overall, this place is popular among the locals for a reason. I would definitely come here for a late night dinner if you're ever craving some authentic hong kong cafe food!

One of my favorites here is the honey walnut shrimp! Pricing is fair and I'd say the food is authentic. Service here is pretty average. My only real complaint is that I think air conditioning is non existent here so it does feel stuffy on warm days.

When I walked in and saw the outside I was wondering why my friends choose this place, it looked from the outside like a small shop, but when I walked in it was way bigger and authentic. Jokes on me. Ordered a bunch of dim sum dishes, everything came out quickly. They even have dessert samples in the front. In San Francisco they would never have dessert samples at a dim sum place so that was a plus for our group. Tea is around $5 a pot. Potstickers were a hit and so was the beef chow fun. Those were 5/5 The beef jook is a skip, kind of tasted runny like powder and no real flavor with weird small bits of beef that looked like bacon bits. 2/10 Other than that the dim sum was solid amd came out hot and fresh. Same with the Chinese broccoli. Skip the lemon iced tea. Tasted like it was from a packet and it was horrible. 0/10 Would definitely come back for their dim sum though.

Upon entering, the cafe was getting warm and stuffy, making it slightly uncomfortable. The restaurant was much more comfortable when the air conditioner kicked on. Opted for the beef brisket wonton noodle soup. The portions were gigantic, especially the generous portions of noodles. The wontons were flavorful and the beef brisket was tender. The hot milk was decent too. Their fried chicken wings are a perfect snack for long-haul trips! The decor is just perfect. I'm not sure if this is a sister restaurant to the other Hong Kong Cafe on Atlantic, but it seems like it as decor, plates, and majority of menu items are the same. We came early morning, so the place was empty and service was quick. Of course we got to start with some drinks. We ordered the Lemon tea and Milk tea. Great drink options that honestly pair really good with any of the menu items. It was breakfast time so we had to order the pineapple "bo law" baos. They add butter in it to make it a bit more creamier and savory, but you can definitely request without it if you'd like! For the main dishes, we ordered the congee with preserved duck egg and pork, and the Austrailian Beef friend rice. The rich and earthy congee is a must for the cooler weather and is such a good meal to order especially on your sick days The fried rice was amazinggg with how fluffy the rice was with the smokiness of the beef -- having the sunny side egg on top was ‍ Not included in today's meal is their green onion chicken rice. All I have to say is that it's gas. I think they ran out of chicken this time, but definitely recommend it because it's simple and delicious af. Absolutely love and recommend this place ‍

If you don't mind that then it should not be a problem to get a seat. get your own utensils and bowls if needed. now let's get into food. The cold sesame noodle was so refreshing and savory that it may be my favorite thing on the menu. The beef noodle soup is also a classic and you cannot go wrong if you order that. Pandan Kaya toast is delicious and highly recommend. spicy wontons were so good, I could've done two orders. portions look small because they have things in smaller looking bowls, but everything is extremely filling and worth every penny - everything is priced fairly cheap as well so don't be afraid to try a little bit of everything and share.

This was my second visit to Clutch and Coffee. Approximately nine months ago, I came with a friend…read moreand had an excellent experience. I entered with my service dog without any issue. Today I arrived about ten minutes before 8:00 a.m. We were the only customers present besides one waitress and a male employee. He wore a black hat, had a short blonde beard, wire-rimmed glasses, and small-gauge black earring plugs. This employee demonstrated no knowledge of ADA or California service animal laws. Given the number of seniors and service-animal users in Old Torrance, staff handling the front should be familiar with these requirements. He asked me to sit on the patio. I requested an indoor booth instead. He then asked for papers or identification for the service dog. I explained that no such documentation is required under the law and that fraudulent service animals often carry papers. I informed him that businesses may ask only two questions: (1) whether the animal is a service dog required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. He continued to raise health-code concerns and responded dismissively. He eventually seated us in a booth. Service after seating was poor. The waitress ignored our table for approximately seventeen minutes. She did not inform us that menus were already on the table. She later set down waters without comment and left. A young male employee refilled our drinks first. The waitress returned to the table only a couple of times and appeared only at the end when she noticed money on the table for the check. We were seated away from other guests and largely ignored throughout the meal, which made the experience awkward. We waited an extended period for the check. When an elderly woman and her daughter arrived at the front door, we stood to leave. We waited another two to three minutes with payment in hand before placing the money on the table and departing. The restroom was filthy. There were no paper towels for drying hands. Toilet paper was on the floor, soap was on the ground, and toilet-seat covers were scattered and torn from the wall dispenser. As we appeared to be the first customers to use the restroom that morning, the condition suggests it had not been cleaned from the previous evening. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III, restaurants are places of public accommodation and must allow service dogs to accompany individuals with disabilities in all areas open to the public, including indoor seating. Staff may ask only two questions when it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal: (1) whether the dog is a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. Businesses may not require documentation, identification cards, certification, vests, or any form of paperwork. They also may not inquire about the nature of the person's disability or demand that the animal demonstrate its tasks. California law, including the Disabled Persons Act (Civil Code §§ 54-54.2), reinforces these federal protections. Local health codes do not override the ADA right of access for a properly controlled service dog in dining areas. The manner in which we were greeted immediately set a negative tone for the entire meal. Although my companion and I enjoyed each other's company, that was the only positive aspect of the visit. The initial confrontation over my service dog, followed by prolonged neglect from the waitress, made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Throughout the meal I also felt meticulously watched, as if the staff were waiting for us to finish quickly and leave. As a result, I was unable to fully enjoy or finish my meal.
