I got the beef and shrimp teriyaki with white rice for $11.99, which is a great deal--especially in this economy. I was looking for something besides McDonald's or Popeyes in the mall, and I'm glad I gave this place a try. The staff was really friendly, the inside was clean, and my food came out fast. Only thing--I wish there was a bit more sauce on the rice, but I'll just ask for extra next time. Overall, great value and tasty food. Will be back!

We came here for dinner before our movie date since College Point Multiplex Cinemas is super close by. Teriyaki One is conveniently tucked in between a bunch of restaurants by Stop and Shop with plenty of parking. The restaurant gives off Chipotle vibes but you actually order your food at the front and then they call your number when it's done. We ordered two bentos, beef and chicken, and it came out to $23.50 with tax. When you order they ask if you want fried or white rice with your bento. The bentos were decently sized and were hot and filling. It came with our choice of protein, rice, two gyozas, two veggie spring rolls, and a salad with a mayo based dressing. I had no complaints about my bento but my boyfriend said he'll definitely get white rice next time because the fried rice was a tad salty especially paired with the greasy gyoza/spring rolls. Teriyaki One is a solid 3/5 stars, not bad but not great either.

Absolutely horrendous asked for no sauce, drenched in sauce, told the grill person but does not care what so ever.

Asked for no sauce, but still drenched with sauce, told the grill person about it but does not care whatsoever.

    Beef teriyaki with fried rice

This is by far the most disgusting food I've ever tried to consume from any restaurant or fast food establishment, I paid $18 for no extra beef like I ordered, slow service , sloppy fried rice and beef with no flavor and taste like it's been in a bucket of oil marinating. I can guarantee I will never set foot in that place again

I absolutely love poke so I decided to come here after seeing a window sign, saying that they had it. The setup looks like a Chipotle, and is long shaped. But you don't go down the line, you just order at the register and they give you a number to be called. There weren't many customization options like some other poke places have (granted, Teriyaki One sells other foods suck as teriyaki, bento boxes and some sushi rolls). It automatically comes with avocado, which is one thing I liked. Iwas only able to choose my sauce (citrus ponzu) and my protein (salmon). I ordered an extra scoop of protein as well. When I took it out I immediately noticed the presentation was sloppy, as you can see in the picture. The salmon was cut insanely big, and even though I asked for the extra scoop it felt like it was the average amount. Also they forgot my citrus ponzu sauce. I was still able to eat it because they still put some seaweed and some kind white sauce on top of the rice (I think it was mayo?) before adding the toppings, which tasted pretty good. The bowl overall was okay, but I don't think it was worth the price I paid for what I got.

Do u see shri.p or what rice and tasty soggy vegetables I didn't ask for.

I will never again order.my food was cold and I got the wrong order. I order chicken and shrimp with white rice no vegetables and nothing was right. You try to call uber good luck no more phone calls n not responding to email and the restaurant doesn't answer their phone. The only good thing had the delivery driver. Thanks for wasting my lunch.

Great place of a quick take out meal! You can get teriyaki chicken over rice and veggies or shrimp, or beef. (You can get double meat if you are really hungry.). They also have poke bowls and sushi! It's not too expensive and they are quick!

This is a takeout place that is inside the Queens Place Mall in Elmhurst (with the Target and Best Buy). It is right next to the entrance and does very good business. As expected just from looking at it, this place is very similar to the nationwide Sarku chain you find inside malls that serves greasy, fake Japanese food. If that is what you are seeking, you will be more than satisfied. The most popular item is their Chicken Teriyaki platter which is only $7.49. It was a generous platter with a large amount of meat. And because they are so busy, you are guaranteed to get freshly made meat. The bento box is not bad either at about $10-$11. They come with 2 spring rolls, 3 dumplings, and salad.

Teriyaki One, located in the Whitestone Expressway Plaza, serves up teriyaki rice bowls, typical of teriyaki stalls familiar to many malls. We sometimes stop by Teriyaki One for a quick and inexpensive dinner before heading over to College Point Multiplex directly across the highway to see a movie. We've had the chicken and beef teriyaki bowls here -- they are quite standard, and pretty good; and the poke bowl. The poke bowl includes a lettuce salad with a mayonnaise dressing, avocado, white rice, Japanese seaweed salad, kani, and your choice of protein (raw salmon, cooked salmon, shrimp, or chicken) and choice of sauce for that protein. The raw salmon option wasn't top-tier, but it was acceptable. Teriyaki One has a frequent customer card that offers one free chicken teriyaki bowl for every five teriyaki bowls purchased. The card works only for teriyaki bowls. Teriyaki One could benefit from a loyalty program for their poke bowls, as one might help with higher turnover, an important factor in keeping the raw salmon fresh. Service and Atmosphere: Bare-bones. There is an assembly-line like atmosphere to the order and fulfillment process. The restaurant offers cafeteria style seating, and one adequately maintained bathroom.

    Menu

I like the variety available here with sushi rolls, poke bowls and teriyaki dishes. My child likes the chicken teriyaki which uses dark meat and might be slightly more flavorful than the competition across the parking lot (Sarku). The place has some seating but it was warm inside on a hot summer day so it wasn't that comfortable and I worry about their food/sauces spoiling in that kind of environment. But it's a pretty convenient takeout place.

We are very familiar with the area and must have walked passed this neatly tucked away gem without ever noticing it. Our son had mentioned that he and his friends have been going to a sushi place near Asian Jewel, our former dim sum go to place. When we sat down to order, my wife and I were quite impressed by how clean and cozy the restaurant was. Kind of on the small side with a few tables on the ground floor level. The menu offered cooked food as well as fresh sushi. We decided to start with the sushi & sashimi combo. They also offered a sushi or sashimi a la carte menu where you can choose to order by the piece. I believe that if you choose one of their standard menu sushi or sashimi orders and pay with cash, the a la carte price per piece of sushi / sashimi is only $1.35 / piece! Well we were famished and in addition to the sushi & sashimi plate we ordered two rounds of sushi & sashimi a la carte. Their salmon and yellow tail was so fresh and so scrumptious as was the sweet shrimp. The tuna was also very yummy and did not disappoint! When all was said and done we were quite happy with our experience with Yoi Sushi Japanese. I highly recommend Yoi if you're anywhere near Tangram Mall or Asian Jewel and have a hankering for yummy sushi. They also offer cooked food as well as ramen bowls.

The golden broth on the other hand was quite mediocre. There's also free drinks and you get ice cream at the end. I do think the service is a bit slow and they don't clear empty plates often. For our food we ordered the hako sushi, tornado omelette fried rice, trio tuna sushi roll, yakitori platter (ordered chicken gizzard and gyu harami on the side) and the A5 Wagyu cooked on the stone grill. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.
