My daughter and I had reservations today for Terra Gaucha. I was nervous about going but I can honestly say we had a fabulous time! The food was very good and the service was phenomenal! I haven't had service that good in a long time. There were sooo many people tending to our every desire. If we asked for a particular meat, poof, it was at the table. We went to the soft open and everything was absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommended. Great food, value and outstanding service. A Brazilian steak house on the north side is a fantastic addition. We will most definitely be regulars. My husband is a meat lover and said the pichana, bottom sirloin and lamb steak was perfection. I am vegetarian and gluten free. The salad bar and hot sides were amazing. The mashed potatoes, yucca fries, polenta, fried bananas are all gluten free. Even the cheese bread is gluten free, good to know! They had a lobster bisque, mushrooms, rice and beans, scalloped potatoes. Salad bar has many fruits and veggies options. Reynaldo the general mgr is super friendly and accommodating. The Brazilian steakhouse experience is well represented with this new spot. Very busy on a Friday night and we had a very large party, service was reasonable, not great. The glassware had tiny dried on crumbs of food I could feel just touching the glass once. They brought a dirty plate later with a piece of dried on food. Most of the meats were overcooked. We could hardly hold a conversation with interruption after interruption from a dozen or so workers even though our pogs were turned over to the red side. I am in the middle on this place. I think they have the "new restaurant" kinks to work out but if you love Brazilian steakhouses, this will certainly be a great spot for you. I admittedly think it's too overwhelming to be approached so much with food during dinner but that's no rag on this restaurant, that's just me not liking Brazilian steakhouses that much. I have been to Fogo de Chao and this place seems a little more upscale than that place. That being said it was a little disorganized as well. Regardless of your card being flipped or not they came up asking about meat. Also I had two different waiters who didn't seem to be in good communication with one another. The bar was sadly understaffed while I was there so It took well over 30min to get a cocktail brought out to me. I give 3 stars but I assure you the food was great and I think their smalls flaws can be easily fixed as the restaurant gets more experience. The salad bar had many excellent diverse options, and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I was with a group of girls so we didn't eat even half that was offered to us but I'm sure a group of men could have a great time haha. Anyways I recommend giving it a try, especially if you have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse. read more

We had a great experience on Valentines day. Went at lunch time. This is our second time back and we will go back. Great service, servers were friendly, attentive, and proactive. We especially like Rodrigo. He's the best. So professional and attentive and just a great barrister. There is a wide variety of well-prepared cuts of meat, including prime cuts like picanha, filet mignon, and various cuts of beef, lamb, and chicken. Restaurant is clean and classy. Salad bar good. Hubby and I had a lovely brunch at Terra Gaucho today. Brunch is available Saturday and Sunday. We were impressed by the options on the salad bar, the quality of the buffet hot sides, the waffle/omelet bar, the sweet/spicy thick cut bacon, fruit & yogurt parfaits, and the selection of table-side meats. A nice surprise is the gauchos bring grilled shrimp and pineapple. We've seen whole grilled pineapple at other churrascarios, like Rodizio's, but Terra Gaucha's is coated with cinnamon, a bit too much for my tastes but my husband liked it. We've never seen grilled shrimp brought to the table and it was tasty. I would have liked a bit more char on the shrimp or grill marks. Loved the Lobster Bisque with a piece of buttered French bread. The bisque's color was a deep pink, with no heavy Sherry flavor in a flavorful seafood tomato stock. The service was spot-on, filling our glasses and removing dirty dishes as needed. The flow of meats from the kitchen was smooth and frequent. We played red light/green light to pause them from bringing more several times. It can be overwhelming and you can forget which beef is which. Although we tried a multitude of meat, our highest scores for beef went to the Beef Ribs, Picanha, Garlic steak, and ribeye, in that order. The highest rated alternate meat, bacon wrapped chicken, scored highly too because the bacon was thoroughly cooked but the chicken was still juicy. The delicious crisp skin on the roast chicken legs was next level. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection but we aren't big fans of lamb in general. For the sides: hot bar augratin potatoes were the standout. Thinly sliced and served in a rich cheese sauce, I'm pretty sure I tasted Gruyere cheese in it. No skimping on quality ingredients... Table sides: mashed potatoes also tasted of butter and cream, and had just the right amount of texture to let you know they're made from fresh potatoes. Cheese popovers were fluffy, yummy, yet airy and light. For $49.95, it was a pleasure and a bargain. High recommendation. read more

We celebrated our anniversary here and we were BLOWN AWAY! The food was of course wonderful, tasty, hot, and fresh, but our service was maybe the best we've ever experienced. Between the welcoming hostess, attentive servers, knowledgeable gauchos, and kind managers we had the most lovely evening. Our dinner was absolutely perfect. There is no chance you could leave hungry. Each cut of meat was seasoned perfectly and the cold bar was filled with all sorts of sides and salads. We admittedly had high standards/expectations based on multiple visits to a similar Brazilian steak house in AZ, and it just didn't live up to it. We found the cold and hot bar lacking in variety. Terra Gaucha, was relaxed, fun, delicious and the staff worked seamlessly together to make sure everyone's experience was wonderful. It's closer to us and easier to find parking although about $10 more per person. Still a great price at $60 per person for the service and food. Every steak option we tried melted like butter in your mouth, with a nice bacon wrapped chicken option and salmon with mango sauce. I first went to Terra Gaucha while living in Jacksonville, FL. My daughter and I made it a tradition to go there for every special occasion after that first visit. When we came back to Indiana, we could not find any place that compared to the experience Terra Gaucha provides. We visited the newly opened Terra Gaucha in Indianapolis on 12/19/2024. It was just over a 2-hour drive to get there and we tried not to get our hopes up too high, we didn't want to expect the same experience we had in Jacksonville only to be disappointed. Indy did not disappoint at all. The staff can make or break any restaurant and this staff was amazing. They were smiling, laughing with customers, attentive, and made you feel like they cared about your experience, not just a tip. The restaurant filled up quickly, our reservation was for 5pm, we got there just before they opened. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you are thinking about going. There was everything from elegantly dressed couples to business attire and just simply comfortable clothes. The overall atmosphere was happy, energetic, and laid back all at the same time. They didn't rush us to finish but made sure we didn't want for anything. They have a huge variety of very good food. The things on the salad bar were fresh and everything we tried tasted great. The meats were cooked and seasoned perfectly! They served a variety of, Shrimp, Salmon, Chicken, Pork, Lamb, and Beef. We loved everything about this place and our experience there! We arrived about 30 minutes early for our visit. So, we went to the bar to grab a seat and a drink. We sat down and nobody looked at us for at least 5 minutes. I thought, "This is not starting out well." Finally, the bartender asked us if we were having a drink. We ordered and sipped our cocktails until it was time to be seated. They overcharged us for my drink, which they fixed without hassle. We went to our table and began our meal. The salad bar was great. More hot food items than the other Brazilian option in Indy. The meats are very good. It was an amazing meal. I had the most tender and flavorful piece of pork chop I've ever had. And the desserts were very good also. Again, more dessert options than the other place. The only other issue was they figured the TIP on the post sales tax amount. I don't think that's how it's supposed to work. But, other than that, it was a great meal and I'll definitely go back. Bonus points for being located where there's an actual parking lot. read more
