I've been on a mission to sample all of the restaurants in the area, and terrazza was the next one up. Myself and one other person arrived at around seven and were pleased that there was no wait. Upon first entering, we were greeted by a friendly hostess but also by the scent of what can only be described as public bathroom cleaner. We were seated promptly and our waitress was extremely nice. The layout of the restaurant is just awkward. The ambiance was just awkward as well. The restaurant is almost as if someone decided to turn their house into a restaurant. The finishes were nice, but the set up just felt off. Warm bread with a wonderful feta and oil concoction to dip in. We ordered the carbonara and the pesto with sausage. They were both good but just that; good. NOT worth the price for the Taste or serving size. Pesto pasta for $22! And I was able to finish the whole portion no problem. It was good but the environment of the restaurant was just so off and the food was overpriced. read more

I have been here twice with my wife. The first time they were very busy so we sat at a high top near the bar. That was actually a great spot to sit. Not crowded or noisy. Server was great attentive but not overly attentive. We had the hummus to start which was pretty good. For our entree I had the chicken carbonara, the pasta and sauce were excellent the chicken however was tough and seems as if it was frozen then reheated for the meal. My wife had the steak special. Hers was great. Well seasoned, mashed potatoes were good. We finished with an espresso and baklava. Both were great and I don't normally like baklava but that was excellent. Second visit was the perfect storm of a bad dining experience. We sat in the dining area near the door going out to the patio area. High traffic! And the door opening and closing constantly kicked on the AC that was blowing right on us and the couple near us as well. Drinks took forever to come and one thing I truly do not like is when the couple next to us that came in 15 minutes after us is getting drinks and having specials read to them before. Very unprofessional and plain rude! So service this time was starting off with a bang and it got worse. The waitress finally came over to take our order and we ordered an app. Then she asked what we would like for our entrees. That's when I said do you have any specials?? Oh yes I thought I read them to you already?! Sorry you must be mistaking us with the couple next to us. My wife ordered the chicken carbonara that I had last time. I ordered the, special surf and turf. The waitress returned with our glass of wine and bread for the table. Now I was really trying to milk my wine while waiting for our food but after an hour I finished it. Yep an hour before we saw our entrées. We never even got the app we ordered! Remember that couple that came in 15 minutes after us they had their app. Meals finally come and they serve my wife chicken Marsala?!! This place is laughable at this point! She doesn't eat it and about 5 minutes later the server not the waitress comes out and apologizes for the mistake took the meal away and was another 5 minutes before he returned with the correct dish. Mind you I haven't touched my food till this point as I would have been eating alone while my wife stared at me and vise versa once her meal came. Let's not forget about that couple that came in after us. My surf and turf and the incorrect chicken Marsala was supposed to go to them. The mess up here was that they brought the food to the wrong table. How the hell do they come in after us, get an app and entrees before us is beyond me. Anyway we have commenced eating and the staff was apologetic for the mix up. My wife's dish was the same as mine last time pasta and sauce were good the chicken, bad. My surf and turf well let's say for a bloated 38 dollars it was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the filet medium, it was rare, the 2 scallops were completely over done (dry) and the risotto was completely under done. I ate the scallops and most of the filet as I was starving from not having eaten anything all day. The risotto was so bad I only had one bite of it. By the way I asked for the check and paid while we we're still eating, and never saw the owner or the waitress again for that matter. I know the owner was there as he came over to talk to? Yep that couple next to us. Well I could leave 1 star or 5 stars but this place will be like all the others in this location, out of business soon. I hope I'm wrong but if they keep going like this and charging those prices. It will be by by terrazza within a year or two. Believe me folks I hate to sound cheap by my comments above, but I know food and service, and gladly pay a premium for it. I won't be back, I know where to go for better service and food. read more

OK I can't take it! I go to twin oaks all the time because they are on point wit price and portion!!!! This place I can't begin!! Service was trying to compensat!! Because it's new years Eve and they didn't have our reservation! Web site never said nothing of a pre fix menu! But I saw filet mignon and said OK trying to make my lady happy!! Salad had a walnut that doesn't belong Apple and goat cheese and 4 pieces of lettuce. Horrible. Omg I can't. Filet ordered Pittsburgh med rare omg they didn't have a clue! Terrazzo is an all around very nice restaurant. The food, the decor, the drinks and the very large comfortable patio. We have been a couple of times and enjoyed everything ordered. A pretty good special cocktail menu and warm multigrain rolls with a tasty hummus is just a yummy start. I could just eat that hummus all night and it is made in-house. Have to disagree with another review in that we found the calamari to be about the most tender version we have ever had. We all tried different entrees and all were delicious. Husband had some delicious gnocchi, 2 of us ordered different salads with ad ons. I chose the arugula salad and the crab cakes for my entree. The crab cakes came as 2 large cakes that were perfect with the salad. My friend choose the beet salad with steak. She also enjoyed every bite. The patio is large and during the season there is music during dinner. My only issue is that the chairs outside are somewhat uncomfortable, I think the addition of cushions would improve that situation so much. The music is more the Sinatra sound, but perfect with dinner. Cannot rate the desserts as we were all too comfortably full to order anything. Perfect summer evening! read more

This is my first ever Yelp review and I'm sorry it's not a positive one, but I feel like it is necessary. Cons: The service killed this experience as we waited over an hour to be served, during which time the waitress never once came by to at least give us a time frame, offer to refill our drinks, bring more bread, etc. The table next to ours arrived before we did but never even got to eat as they opted to leave after waiting well over an hour. They opted to throw in the towel and were leaving at the same time we did. None of the tables around us were getting food or even drinks and I could hear a great deal of unhappy grumbling. Someone (not the waitress) offered us bread at one point but it never appeared. My entrée was $24 and it was very small, just three sea scallops on a small bed of risotto. I'm not a huge eater, but this was just too small an amount to satisfy, especially for the price. Pros: Very nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, and I will say the food was very delicious. Perhaps I should have given two stars considering the excellent taste of the meal, but the service and portions were so bad that I just can't. The worse service that I have ever had. The waitress was incapable of taking a simple drink order let alone serving a meal. Poorly trained and/or just did not want to be there. When the bus-boy has to apologize for her disappearance, something is very wrong. The food was mediocre at best. You could sit at the counter of any local diner and receive a superior meal at half the price. The next day I found out my ex and my ten year old son had been there about 3 hours earlier. Wow, I just moved from NYC to Smithfield, RI and bad low expectations of local cuisine, but the meal tonight at Terazza just blew me away. That Seafood Pasta was one of the best pasta I've ever had. The pasta has just the right firmness, and the white sauce over the pasta was surreal. It is far superior to any seafood linguine that I've had. Looks like we came to this place too late. The previous reviews about amazing food - well not any more so good. Apart from that I have to say that the staff is friendly and when we were seated adjusted the air conditioning so it would not blast on us. So a good start but it went downhill from there. Our appetizer came after the entree. The kebob was well done but ordered medium. But the pieces of meat were so thin I would not know how to cook them medium anyway. The overall setup is very nice and the outdoor patio is inviting to stay there for a long time. But what is needed is an experienced manager, the young crew is friendly and tries hard but the result is not very efficient (yet, I hope). Also I could not understand why the front door is wide open and let flies in while the A/C is on. We had to constantly chase the flies from our food. We will do the same we usually do, we give them a year and If they are still there we'll come back. read more

We live nearby this restaurant. Always wanted to try when coming and going through route 7. Beautiful ambience. They had set up as Halloween theme. The server was very friendly and polite. The reason i am giving 2 stars is just because of ambience and server. I ordered pama mojito that tastes exactly like cough syrup. Food was okay (not great). We ordered chicken marsala and lamb burger. But worst was we reached restaurant around 6pm and not until 7:15pm we got our food served. Generally My food portion is very small and i was very hungry. My husband and I have returned to Terrazza several times and have truly enjoyed each of our evenings dining there. As an appetizer, the spinach salad is fantastic - baby spinach tossed with gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, raisins, in a perfect blue cheese dressing. I have also ordered the Eggplant Caprese which is buffalo mozzarella layered with tasty grilled eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, basil leaves, all drizzled with a truffle balsamic reduction and basil infused olive oil. Most recently, we have savored the Chateaubriand, pan seared 10 oz. filet mignon served with truffle fries and topped with red wine peppercorn jus. I requested that the filet be cooked medium well and it was perfectly done - very moist and tasty. What is so important to state is that a diner's request for adaptations to a particular dish are accepted well and prepared as requested. Management and waitstaff truly care about making each diner feel welcomed, appreciated, and satisfied thereby making Terrazza a vey positive and memorable dining experience. read more

I know I said I don't give out many three star reviews but I had too again. It took over 15 minutes to get two sandwiches with on one else in the restaurant. I order the Soujouk which is a spicy grilled sausage with tomatoes and onions. The sausage was good but I wasn't a fan of the torpedo roll. First time there tonight...I can assure you we will definitely be back. First of all the service was phenomenal! They went so far out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. We had a delicious meat & cheese platter appetizer to start, then for dinner the Seafood Parpadelle & the Seafood Risotto, for dessert the Lemoncello Marscapone and the Tiramisu. Everything was absolutely delicious! The only thing i would say could use improvement was the dessert menu. It was extremely limited and I definitely expected more choices-but what we had was great. I've been to the Sunday Brunch twice and both times were wonderful! Excellent food and service all around. The first time I had an egg wrap with home fries, which had a little Mediterranean kick to them which made a delicious change from "the usual" breakfast experience. Today I had the Brioche French toast with wildflower honey butter - it tasted as mouth-watering as it sounds! So good! I also had a Mimosa made with fresh-squeezed orange juice - it makes a difference! Some friends had Pear Bellinis and others spicy Bloody Mary - I heard those were fabulous too. Very nice looking place inside and nice patio area for summer. But they need improvements in the kitchen area, the simple salmon dinner had way to much minced garlic on it and smeared over the mash potatoes it was very strong smelling. Couldn't eat the potatoes. Only ate bottom of the salmon. We Also had the roasted chicken dinner and it had to much fat, they need to trim it befor serving. Nice waitress she was good. Most likely not return. It was our first time eating here. The atmosphere on the patio was great. They even had heating lamps to make sure everyone was warm as the sun went down. The food was very good and plenty of it. My husband had the paella for one. It could have fed 2-3 people. The calamari was crispy and tender. The chicken Milanese was also good. The chocolate mouse cake was delicious. Our server Alyssa was attentive, pleasant and made sure our evening was special. When we complimented the chef to Alyssa, she stated that they were lucky to have him as he was new to their team. I can't say enough to thank chef Mario for his hospitality tasty food and awesome service. He welcomed my last minute reservation and met with me in the middle of a snow storm to plan for my daughters christening lunch next day. Was in Saturday. WHY IS IT SO HOT IN THERE??? It's summertime. Please fix your AC. I told everyone what a great summer spot this is, but after this visit I doubt I'll be back. Can't enjoy a meal in a 100 degree room. Even the staff were sweating. Summer in RI can reach 95 degrees. Stop being cheap and get yourselves an AC. Feel bad for the cooks in front of the ovens all day. And this wasn't even outside on the patio, we were IN the restaurant. Very uncomfortable. Not considerate to guests. You expect when walking into a public place in the summer a nice cool air not a stagnet warm environment. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. What makes it so amazing? The staff, food, drinks, and atmosphere. The bartenders who make these drinks come out so good, any martini is delicious and not flat/watery tasting. The food, I can only say that the salmon and some other seafood dishes and pasta are amazing. I haven't got to the rest of the menu yet. Now the staff! The thing I love most about this staff is you're greeted almost instantly! Even if they can't serve you they say hello or tell you they'll be right with you. The acknowledgment is what matters the most. I've been there 3 times and all 3 times this has happened with 3 different bartenders who are awesome. They are all well aware of the bar and super friendly. The first time we went we met WENDY! Got her name right!... she introduced us to the restaurant and made a bunch of recommendations which was super nice. 2nd time we met Shawn, friendliest man, as I was about to order I kind of told him what I was looking for and he told me not to get what I picked because something different had a better pasta and sauce and boy was he right! As soon as I got it he asked if I liked it and was more than willing to get it right if I didn't... but it was so good I ate every bite. AND to top it off (which has led to me writing this review) Julia! How freakin amazing is she? We went to Siena in Smithfield for my girlfriends 30th birthday and they screwed up real bad. They didn't even bring the cake like I asked for at the end, and the food was horrible. Anyways we left Siena and went here, I told my girl we would go get her a good drink as a dessert to fix Siena's mistake, we told Julia what happened and she felt so bad.... we chatted about it for a little and when my girlfriend got up to go to the bathroom ... and even tho the kitchen was closed, she went into the back, got cake, wrote 30 on the plate and tried to make it look all nice... came out with a candle on it... there wasn't many of us left so I had to sing loud which could be ear piercing ... anyways these 3 times have all been absolutely amazing it's now one of my favorite restaurants. The meat was undercooked and literally stuck to a kabob stick, the rice was hard as a brick and I think my salad was big enough for a toddler. What a disgrace and we thought we liked coming here. I am rating this establishment, not on their food or on the waitstaff, but rather on my experience in the first 20 minutes I was there, because I walked out before i was even seated. I received a gift certificate for Mother's day and when I found out that there was a spicy pickle martini I was looking forward to going. Early Friday afternoon I went to make a reservation for that night and was very disheartened to see the earliest I could get in was at 815pm. I decided to make the reservation for Saturday at 630pm instead. The restaurant called at 1230pm on Saturday to confirm my reservation and asked if i would like indoor or outdoor seating. Seeing as it was a beautiful day, I requested to sit outside on their patio. I was told by "Carson" that my reservation was all set and that they looked forward to seeing me and my party of 3 that evening. Fast forward to 615 Saturday night. I pulled out to a full parking lot and had to squeeze into a spot on what i assume was an over flow lot in the back of the building. I assumed that there would be a full restaurant and was proud of myself for having the good sense to make a reservation. My party walked in and saw that the restaurant was half empty and the patio was even less full. I was told, when I checked in at the hostess station at 620pm that it would be 5 minutes while they set the table. I was more than content to wait a few minutes for a table setting. While we were waiting a party of 2 walked in, without a reservation, and was whisked away to a table on the patio. I stood there as another party with a reservation checked in for a patio seating reservation and was told the same thing I had been 10 minutes earlier. I heard the 3 hostess talking and how that my party name had already been seated. I then spoke up and very vocally said that I had not been seated yet and was ignored. In the 15 minutes which had passed, i watched the hostess turn away two parties because they "could not guarantee them seating onside" on sparsely seated patio. Finally, 16 minutes after I walked into the restaurant I was told my party could be seated. We were then taken to a bare table inside a half empty dining room. I told them i had a reservation for an outside seat and the very confused hostess, who seemed to be the junior person on that evening, told me that my party would again have to wait for a table as the party behind me was walked to their outside table. At this point, I was very much done and told them my party would be leaving and to forget about my table. Based on the events of the evening, I have ZERO desire to return because if the seating process is handled like this, I fear what the rest of the experience would be like if we ate there. read more

Went with a party of six for dinner before a show at Twin River. Bar was on.. drinks came quickly. We ordered apps which took 45 minutes!!! I asked the waitress what was up. She said.."A lot of people here right now." "Not sorry I'll check on them." I asked if the seafood special was spicy..."Not at all." Dinners took another 45 minutes 5 "hot" dinners came out...my wifes salad with salmon was another 15 minutes...and she had to ask for it! The seafood special was indeed spicy. No one came to clear our dirty dishes...one poor busboy who was doing his best but couldn't keep up. I wondered why this waitress didnt seem to care about good service...rude, short, and not very good. Then the check came!!! Policy is 6 or more patrons..20% is automatically added!!! (In tiny print on the bottom of the menu.) One of our party approached the manager and was told "All waitstaff are told to point this out PRIOR to taking orders. She didn't?" No she didn't. We asked to change the tip due to poor service and were told "Sorry...can't do that." Manager didn't apologize or comp us for anything at all! I gave one star for the bar tenders and the busboy who should get a promotion!!! Other than them it would have been ZERO stars. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE!! Awesome restaurant, beautiful decor, great ambience and even live music! I came here for the first time with a party of 12 for Lebanese dinner/mezza (have to pre-order) and everything was amazing from the timing the appetizers came out to the main mixed grill course. The food was plentiful and simply delicious. All of my guests including myself were very happy with everything. This place has the best chef in town and great ownership and staff. This is s small quaint restaurant. My nephew and his fiancé had dinner for the wedding party and family from out of town. My first reaction to this place was the food has to be mediocre just at first sight. I was very wrong. The food was fantastic, and so filling. There were approximately 25 people in the party and I can honestly say everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food. I cannot forget about the service. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive to our needs. The manager and or owner (not sure) was engaged and involved with the setup and making sure the bride to be and groom to be were taken care of. I ate so much prior to the main course coming out that I could not finish my meal. I brought it home. If I were to come back thru Rhode Island I would surely make this stop to eat. read more

Awesome authentic Lebanese brunch! Strained yogurt with olive oil, garlic and mint with fresh cucumber, peppers and tomato. Terrazza shrimp was amazing paired with Moët & Chandon champagne. Talked to the owner/chef who prepared a Lebanese Carpaccio with lamb, mint, garlic aioli and scallions as a sample. It was out of this world! Haley the bartender was attentive and made excellent suggestions. I just wish that more Americans were adventurous and would try authentic fare. read more

Walking in, we were upset that there was NO hostess at all. We went in on a Wednesday night about an hour before close, and there was completely no hostess. We waited for a couple minutes, and decided to go in and seat ourselves at the bar, something really strange for a supposedly "upscale" restaurant. When the bartender noticed us, she greeted us and all, but didn't apologize for not seating us. What shocked me was that the bartender was also the waitress for the entire restaurant. Yes, only one server attending to the entire floor. We got lucky because we sat at the bar where she perched herself, but I did notice that other couples were looking around for her but she couldn't see them because of how the bar is situated. The music was strange. Really, just overall, the ambiance is weird. My pasta came out OK. Really nothing besides that, good, yes. Not mind-blowing. The Margherita pizza came out delicious, I will say. However, who are they kidding? That pizza was a plain cheese. That was no specialty pizza. Don't get me wrong, we finished the whole thing because it was great. But don't upcharge because it's meant to be a specialty, but comes out covered in PLAIN cheese, no special cheese, and looks exactly like any regular thin crust cheese pizza. Overpriced for what you get. The inside looks so classy and you expect to get higher-end food, but really it isn't. If they upped their quality, I'd up the stars in my review. read more

Ordered food and drinks same time. Took 10 minutes to get the drinks. Waitress never asked if anyone would like another drink, had to chase her down!.food was ok.
