Cafecito has been showing up on my reels and it looked like the kind of special I wanted. Just a few steps away from the Railyards, this place seems to be in its own island, in a quiet corner. The place is simple in decoration, with lots of plants, plenty of natural light, and a cozy vibe. The manager or owner greeted us. We started special the right way . Staff took a little longer than I expected to take our order (or I may have been veeeery hungry). However, our order came quite quick! The hubby ordered the Santa Fe and Carne Empanadas with lentil soup. I ordered the Gaucho to get some range. The empanadas were quite good and tasty. They were on the medium size, well packed with protein, with a nice and soft pastry. The Santa Fe had very fragrant green chiles and good seasoning on the chicken. The Carne had an amazing taste on the wagyu with a bit of spice and sweet with those peppers. The lentil soup was thick and tasty with every spoonful. The Gaucho, unfortunately, was not as successful as the empanadas. The sourdough was thinly sliced and perfectly toasted, pairing well with the butter and quince jam. The provolone and tomatoes were confusing, but they were well portioned. The eggs were fluffy and ok, nothing to die for, just well executed. The flank steak relied a lot on the chimichurri, which added great acidity, but without it, the steak did not have its own seasoning or flavor. It was satisfying, but the visuals tricked me into thinking it was going to blow my mind. Overall, this is a nice space to hang with friends for a special occasion and enjoy some tasty options. I'm interested in returning to try other things. I like when a place sparks my curiosity.

My companion had a bagel with cream cheese which they happily toasted for her. I opted to grab a Tuscan ciabatta panini sandwich to make when I got home. They will actually toast the Panini there for you if you want to eat it there. My sandwich was delicious and my friend enjoyed her bagel and cream cheese. The customer service was absolutely excellent. Very friendly folks willing to help and provide information on the food and area. I'm really happy to have found this stop that offers so much more than just bagels and cream cheese. They have an extensive menu for breakfast including quiche, potato pie and pastries, among other yummy looking dishes. They also offer soups, salads, and dips, as well as a rather large sandwich menu. They offer both cold and hot sandwiches as well as a multitude of drinks, cookies, snacks, ice cream, and chocolates and other treats. Indoor tables are available in a rather open and spacious layout, should you decide to eat on site. Restrooms are also located in this area. Another tip is that you can park in the back instead of the front if you want to get really close to the restaurant. Next time I come, I'm coming hungry so I can try some of their offerings! I hope you give this nice little shop with an extensive menu a chance the next time you're in Santa Fe.

It was my first experience with shrimp scampi and so many Tex Mex flavors. Sadly we moved from Colorado to Michigan and those yearly trips ended. In 2012 when my youngest was graduating high school, I decided to "go back home" and we traveled from Michigan to California for her senior trip. Unfortunately so much had changed EXCEPT for the exceptional food at the Pink Adobe! Not much beyond the pricing has changed as it is still in the same pink Adobe building. My shrimp scampi and other delicious items we ordered was the only experience from my childhood that stood the test of time! Mama Rosalea's menu has many of the old standards plus some newer menu items that retain the special touch of the current chef. It was beyond remarkable! From the stellar servers who treat you like family to the "comida deliciosa" it took me back decades to how both service and restaurant food was before! EXCELLENTE! The Pink Adobe isn't cheap but worth EVERY PENNY, while so much of Santa Fe has changed since the 70s with commercialization and invasion of the hipsters? It was wonderful to see at least here, things are still very much old school! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Ps: if you can find "Cooking with a Silver Spoon" on eBay BUY it! It's a serving of the Pink Adobe 's best recipes so you can make them at home too!

Tasted bland and weird, frankly. My guest's dishes were also marginal at best. The worst was, based on a picture on Yelp of their "Rosalee's Apple Pie", I decided to order one for the table. What was served was probably the worst example of a small apple tart in a ceramic dish owith weak vanilla ice cream. Not pie. Not even close. I told the server and showed him the picture. He just shrugged and said, "yeah the menu is different now". This thing was $18, I handed it back to the server and said we weren't going to eat it and to please remove from the tab. Surprise, surprise, he did NOT remove from the tab. After not being able to get the server's attention, I gave up. Bad form. Pass Pass Pass

He had had a very delicate operation to repair a tricky break in the tibia bone of his back right leg. They had installed a metal brace and screws and wire. Very expensive and extremely important to contain the cat so he would not harm the leg while it is healing. I had an out of state family funeral to attend and was in a panic. I googled something like post-surgery in home care in Santa Fe. Her website plus one other Pet Hospital came up. I reviewed her website, noticed how well it was designed with attention to detail (very important) and that she was licensed via the city of Santa Fe for animal care. I never even felt the need to review the other website. My cat, named Kitty, needed 24/7 care and someone with experience handling medications and delicate post-surgery care. I emailed her of my upcoming needs, as it was late on a Sunday and I needed to leave in 4 or 5 days. We spoke the next day and went over all my concerns. As we spoke it was so obvious that she was very experienced in the post-surgery needs of an animal. Additionally, she demonstrated a deep understanding of relating to the cats and dogs she takes care of. If you want to just have Irina go to your home and feed and water and clean up after your pets while you are away that is of course possible also. Irina sent me wonderful photos and reports everyday of Kitty. I felt completely confident that Kitty got excellent care and attention...complete with a heated rug his first day there to comfort him as he adjusted to this new environment. I could go on and on but don't want to make this any longer. In short, all pet owners in Santa Fe, are lucky to have Irina the Pet Angel of Santa Fe as an option for animal care when the need arises. Thanks, Irina for your love and devotion to my Kitty and all cats and dogs. Mary BB

Great if you already have a practice and can use facilities on your own, but we also found it was very reasonable to just hire a teacher from Santa Fe to come up for a private lesson. Hiking right outside your door. Every bedroom (plus the cabin!) is set up perfectly to make you feel like a VERY ZEN queen/king. Watch the sunrise and the sunset over the mountains, while you swing on the front swings. Eat dinner under the stars or in the formal dining room. The choices are endless at Rass Mandal. The experience of this house unlocked possibilities, I'm not even kidding! It is a ways up the mountain road-- so not for people who really wan ot be in the center of twon. But we really had no trouble getting to town when we wanted to go out and explore. Mostly though you'll want to stay in, trust me! :) Also Richard is the nicest. Very helpful and the entire process was overall easy. Enjoy your stay at Rass Mandal!!
