Sadly, here's an update 4 years later... I have attempted to work with Edward over the years to pay off his judgment. I have offered to pause interest, reduce the amount he owes, and allow him to pay me in auto parts, which he gets at wholesale and I would allow him to subtract the full retail amount from his debt. Over the last 4 years he has paid less than $200 to reduce his debt but has accumulated literally thousands of dollars in interest. I have attempted to hire two different debt collection agencies, they weren't able to collect due to the fact he is living like a transient. He is literally homeless. He refuses to get a traditional job or form of employment. When he does miraculously obtain employment he is promptly terminated, thus why I am not able to garnish his wages. In a few more years I the judgment will be eligible for renewal and the interest will compound. You'd have to be insane to engage in any kind of agreement with this guy. He has nothing to his name, no professional insurance, he owes money to everyone (and isn't paying his debts), has no actualization of how to conduct himself or how the world works. Terrible. Horrendous. Disastrous. Disappointing. All adjectives that are frequently used in describing Edward work. If you decided to give him money, please do realize you will either have your car returned in worse condition then when you brought it in or you'll get your car back with no work done at all. He often cannot complete the services that he agrees to do. He's woefully under qualified and comically over confidant. A scary combination for his customers. I had Ed do work a couple years ago and I'm still taken back by his incompetence, so much so I felt it warranted to write this and warn others. There are so many good mechanics out there. Not happy with this place or the work, took my M3 there one time, and that was all it took. First off I had plenty of work done, header install, carbon intake installed, water pump, coolant hoses, O2 sensors, thermostat, crankshaft seal, and instructed him to repair the oil leaks. Ed says he repaired my oil leaks, yet my car continues to leak oil, he damaged a $400 wheel, which he said, if the shop he knew, could not fix it, he would buy me a new one. When his shop failed to do so, I asked about a new wheel, of course he then said, he had no money to get me a new one, so I paid out of my pocket for a new wheel. I had him install my carbon air box, and he removed my OEM clamps, threw them away and replaced them with some BS hose clamps, stating he did not have the tool to replace the clamps, not sure what that has to do with me. So I took my car to check on the oil leaks and was told and shown by the shop, how the oil pan was not only missing bolts, but some were sheared off from over torquing, I was also missing header and sway bar bolts from his header install, my power steering hose was not secure, causing it to rub on part of the motor, damaging it, there were a few other things he failed to do, now costing me over a $1000 to repair after paying him over $2000 for less than subpar work. Edward isn't a trust worthy or reliable person. If you give him your car there's a good chance he'll mistreat it and even abandon it. And we get it, stuff happens. But the worst part about Edward, as you can see from the other reviews, is he doesn't work on making it better. He doesn't pay his debts or even court judgments. read more

Came to Edward in order to install Angel Eyes for my M3, he did a perfect job and was communicative at all times. Took no longer than two hours and the end result is perfect. Decent pricing as well, only $150. He's very knowledgeable about European Automobiles, especially Bimmers and Mercs. Hit him up if Yall need anything! Where to start! There's honestly probably not enough words to properly convey how absolutely great Edward is. Not only did he answer my 6am call when my water pump failed while on the freeway, but he and his girlfriend drove out to me while I was stranded and waited over an hour with me for the tow truck to come tow my car to his shop. And then gave me a ride home! Even with a stacked school schedule, Edward managed to change out my water pump, thermostat, and belts, and had my car back to me the next day running like a champ. He even washed her. If you are looking for an honest, reliable, and safe place to take your car, I couldn't recommend anybody but Ed. To put it simply, Edward is a BMW wizard. If you're a fan of Hoovies Garage on YouTube, he reminds of the Car Ninja in terms of his dedication and skill. My 1999 540iT was due for a cooling system overhaul, again. I had it done in 2012 at my local dealership, but if you know E39s, you know their cooling systems are weak and prone to failure. I live in Victorville, and was highly recommended Tex Motorwerkes by someone in a forum. Edward has made several trips up to work on my vehicle and has worked on it in wind and rain. This man's dedication is above and beyond. He's gotten my entire cooling system better than new, at a fraction of what the dealership would have charged me. Eddie was working next door so I had him scan the check engine light on my Mercedes SL55. Found out it was the camshaft position sensor. He showed up the next day with the part and while installing it found another problem caused by some shop. (Bent tensioner pulley). He went and got the new part for less than half what Mercedes would charge me. Overall a great experience and I didn't have to drop the car off and wait for a shop to get to it and then go get it. read more

Took my 2002 BMW 540i that I had JUST purchased to the dealership, for some simple diagnosis on a "No Start" condition that I had. After two failed attempts to get my car on the road, and a third suggestion to replace my entire ECU, I ran away. (I work for the Dealership Group, I get employee pricing, figured the dealership should know the best, and I ended up spending money I didn't need to) I called multiple shops trying to find someone confident enough to take on the job of recoding a used ECU and out of 15-20 shops, Ed was the only one with the desire to take on the job. I immediately had my car towed to his shop and he got to work. After a couple days my car was PROPERLY diagnosed, and the dealerships recommendations were way off. Ed slapped on a new throttle body for me, replaced my thermostat, flushed my coolant, I picked up the car within a week. Chatted with Ed for sometime after picking up my car, he's a real cool guy. I am so fortunate to have found this mechanic! He's my go to guy seeing as I own an old Civic it pays off to have a mobile mechanic you can call when you need help and know nothing about cars. At first I'm not going to lie entrusting my car... my second source of income (I'm a part time delivery driver) to stranger was a little nerve wracking (not to mention some questionable reviews) but I'm glad to took the dive because not only is my Honda no longer over heating but I can actually go along with traffic and even get in the fast lane on the freeway without fearing for my life. Brought my newly acquired e30 that had issues in every aspect you can think off. Torched springs, blown suspension busings, crank wobble, clutch slip, bad water pump/timing belt, bald tires, brakes, missing bolts, seized bolts, everything under the sun. Well ed took care of that and now I have a strong running canyon carving machine. Price is outstanding and service was Second to none. I first met Edward in 2019! i stumbled upon his euro car garage repair shop last year in September. I dropped off my 85 BMW e28 524td for repairs like starter and fuel pump install and ecu harness repair. Everything was going great until he got evicted from his Obispo location in Signal Hill. He failed to let me know that he had been evicted. instead he told me he was moving to another location in costa mesa. He told me that he will take care of transportation for my vehicle so I agreed. i kept contact with Edward on a two week bases , He would respond with work he was doing to the car (got to install the fuel pump then wires blah blah blah maybe this weekend) IT went on for months after that(i didnt have time to check on the car). So i went on to his new location where he rented a space in costa mesa (European import service) to make sure my car was there and that repairs were being made. where i meet the owner of the new location Victor. Victor explains to me that he was waiting for someone to come pick up this car off his lot. that it hasnt been worked on for months!!! He also explained to me how Edward no longer rented there!!!!!! That He basically abandon my car in his lot. Repairs were not finished the car was a mess! He also used the inside of my car as parts storage!!! scratched my leather, Missing bolts everywhere wires everywhere it was a nightmare. Thank god i was raised to only pay mechanics half of the bill and the other half when the work was done! With that being said i still lost that half around 800 dollars that Edward took from and i still had to get it towed back to long beach 150 dollars. SO in total i have lost around 2 thousand dollars dealing with Mr. Edward Texis. I Will not RECOMMEND HIM TO NOBODY!!! Dont even let him tighten a hose clamp! This is probably the best mechanic out there in Signal Hill. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Sure the '08 E92 M3 cooling system needed to be upgraded. It's standard, but who to trust with it to come back done properly & promptly?! Obviously I searched around, got a lot of quotes and realized all the others were outrageous. For having it all done within a day, where as others were over a month for a SIMPLE JOB, even though I do have a JEEP to romp around in or the comfortable E36 to cruise in. So I decided I'd drop off the E92 here, & boy was I surprised!! I dropped it off and didn't have to pay the $2.3k (& also included a CSF high performance radiator) until it was done! Most wanted it all up front, I'm not trying to be scammed!! So it was very appreciated that they don't take your car & money right away. Lol! I know most of you will say, damn $5k to do a cooling system? Remember it's on an E92!!! Most are already crashed or owned by men who have connections to get there parts for free or heavily discounted, not to mention most men can work on their own cars as they either have all the tools & knowledge or have their own shops. Trust me I'll jelly, but I wouldn't have wanted a hack job so I'm very glad I came here! Back to what I was saying though, I thought I had a month to be without it & BAM! It was only 1 day!!! Now I can get back to cruising to Las Vegas & go $h!+ on the boys at the track without overheating!! LoL!!! read more

The starter on my car went out so i was not able to move it to this shop without towing it, Eddie saved me some money on the tow and came to my work place to replace my starter.
