Do not order curbside from this place. They were out of 1/2 our order and didn't notify us until we got home and discovered it. The manager said we are out of those items and gave your money back. That was not helpful because we are all the way home and not all of our party had food. The manager was not helpful and made excuses that they were busy. Excellent food and service..... BUT because it is so popular, I had to wait 50 minutes (standing.... with no seats available inside and too cold to stand outside)... No reservations are allowed, but if you call within 45 minutes of your time they'll activate a pager for you.... thats what we did and STILL had to wait 50 minutes..... Not Good, for this Old Lady! Met up with friends on a Friday. The visit here started off poorly. My friends asked for house white wine. They didn't have any. They asked for another kind of white wine which also wasn't available. The server wasn't much help and said she'd send the manager over. He finally appeared and basically said sorry, he didn't get his wine shipment. Don't do to go orders. If they don't have what you order, they don't let you know. They just refund the item and screw the people who ordered something they don't have. We eat here every Saturday for lunch, that is going to end. Management doesn't care that I had people that didn't get food tonight. We came between 4-6. I got a special and my sisters shared a rack of ribs. What a deal on the steak! I was expecting it to be just so-so because of the price but it was one of the best I've ever had. I get that this is a popular place to go eat, but if it's such a big deal, get a better location, because as it stands, it's not worth the meal spending 10 to 15 minutes in the car looking for a place to park, and the 20 to 45 minutes standing around waiting for a table. read more

I was highly disappointed when we called ahead letting them know the large party coming in and they tried to squish us into three separate booths. We let them know it was unacceptable so they put us in two larger booths next to each other. Our whole party couldn't sit at one table to socialize and eat like you can at other restaurants. Plus one of the booths was served their meals awhile before the other booth was served. The serving difference was enough that the first table was almost done with their meals when the second booth got served their meals. read more

Great customer service! I LOVE it when they keep our drinks full...but this was INSANE. Our drinks got to the bottom third of the cup and the guy would bring out new full drinks! I never had to ask once for a new beverage. Apparently our server was brand new. Nice. Don't lose that sense of urgency for placing the customer's needs first! The prices were good. The portions were great! My wife and I shared a meal and we both walked away full. They load you up with peanuts and bread before your food even arrives. I ordered the pulled pork and BBQ ribs. Both stellar. The BBQ sauce was quite tasty. The meat was tender. I wasn't thrilled with the buttered corn. Not much flavor. I also wasn't too happy that they didn't offer cole slaw. :-/ Oh well. I really don't get why such a big deal is made out of this place. Wohoo..Peanut shells on the floor ..how sanitary. The steaks are alright..I'd probably get the same quality at Applebee's. Update (March 2007): This restaurant makes me happy. I think that for every visit to Idaho Falls, I should definitely eat here... It just MAKES my visit. I know they're a chain, and I now know that they have a location close to SF, but I still have a special place in my heart for this one... Came here with my S. African coworker, and he loved it. Enough meat to keep him happy. I ordered half a slab of ribs with two sides, and I couldn't even finish it all. I'm becoming weak sauce here, can't even finish a smaller meal! The rolls here are as wonderful as I remember them. Always fresh. -------------------------------- Finding good restaurants in Idaho Falls is slightly problematic. There just aren't very many choices - good ones, anyway. Luckily, I can eat just about anything. The service was great here! The last 2 times we have visit was extremely disappointing. The first time they got the order wrong and twice and the steak was cooked wrong. The last time we went the steak was wrong once and it was cooked wrong 3 times! I think they have changed cooks and their for the steaks have no seasoning and basically are discussing and RAW. I like mine medium rare more on the rare.... but really the steaks were raw. Will definitely NEVER go back. Do yourselves a favor and head over to Stockmans or Jackers you will be much happier. Update.... Went back recently and I have to say that I was impressed, the service was great... But the steak was AMAZING! Went back again and the pork chops are the best. This was the worst experience yet. We usually go once a month to this restaurant but now we may reconsider. I ordered the 20 oz bone and rib eye done medium; for the first time. I usually get the rib eye and it is always delicious. I had to ask the waitress to bring us some rolls while we waited- at this place it is assumed people want plenty of rolls. She brought back dark brown rolls that were dried out. Then my steak came. It sure looked good until I cut into it. The top was simply seared and the onside was a dark red - RAW. The waitress never came back to ask how it was. I was starving so I ate the edges which were medium rare. She finally came back 30 minutes later to ask how things were. I told her it was undercooked and she then offered to put it back on. I was embarrassed since it was all cut up (I was looking for parts to eat) so I declined. I asked for more rolls and she brought back bright white rolls. There was no brown at all on them. By this time I was ready to get out of this mess we got ourselves into. I don't know why everyone loves the rolls, they're greasy and doughy. The only thing I ordered was a brownie, and it took them over an hour to get it to me. Instead of refilling our glasses, or replacing our glasses with new ones, they just kept piling them onto the table, and there were six of us crammed in there, there wasn't room for three glasses per person! When I my server FINALLY brought out my dessert, she blamed its tardiness on the chef, because the chef didn't know I wanted it right away; it's the server's job to let the chef know when each part of every meal is supposed to go out. Everyone at my table had finished their entrees by the time I was able to start on my order. My friends ordered snakebite appetizers, and they tasted as if the fry-oil hadn't been changed in days. My boyfriend's fries were soggy, not crisp. Here's the topping on the cake, this place was shut down for a rodent problem a few years ago. I think it should have stayed closed. read more

In my experience, chain restaurants are usually overpriced, with inconsistent service and food. The Idaho Falls Texas Roadhouse is one of the few anomalies, in my experience. I've visited a few times now, and the frequency of my visits is increasing because it's never a disappointment. The steaks are always cooked to order as requested and is nicely seasoned, the waitstaff and bartender(s) have been excellent, and the overall experience has been great. I went there last night for dinner. When I woke up this morning at about 9 o'clock I had of Really bad stomach pain. I spent the rest of the day with food poisoning. When I called the manager to let him know he basically told me that no it's not because it take 48 hours to get food poisoning. Not true by the way! It's difficult to order a steak here after eating at Ruth's Chris the night before, but for the price the ribeye was actually really flavorful. It had a ridiculous amount of fat around it. I'm not sure who is doing the "hand trimming", but they could use a little work on their trimming skills. My main complaint is the amount of salt on and in everything. Their chili is really good but, way too salty. My wife's fried were caked in their seasoning salt. Our waiter was good, he had 3 or 4 large tables so our water was neglected. This is country comfort food done right, if your visiting idaho like me don't leave without checking this place out or you will regret it. Vick our server for the night was beyond excellent. His hospitality is unreal and I genuinely appriciate him finding a way for me to try a little of everything and even throwing in some extras he personal likes. Went for our anniversary. Didn't have to wait very long during Saturday dinner rush to be sat down. Our waitress Sam was courteous and was able to give good recommendations. I went here for an early Valentine's day with my husband. They gave us an accurate and appropriate wait with the virus and Valentine's day in account. As soon as we arrived we got some fresh water and amazing melt in your mouth rolls. Our waiter came by and asked if we had questions or were wanting an appetizer to get started. We ordered their fried pickles that were insanely delicious with the Cajun horseradish sauce. He then brought my husband another refill right before his cup was empty and asked if we knew what we wanted. He helped me understand the different cuts of steak and gave me suggestions based on my likings. We then got all our food. They forgot to bring out our salads until with our steak which was okay because all the stuff came out quickly and they compensated our fried pickles. The steak was also heavenly. I wish I could eat this delicious of food all the time. Our waiter as well as managers checked on us frequently and were very polite and respectful. The best steak and BBQ chicken breast I've ever had. The entire meal was fantastic and the waiter Marcus was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. He saw to our every request with a smile and great attitude. Everyone at this location was super friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a really outstanding meal. I will admit that the service was a little slow but just because it was so busy. Our servers name was Siraya. She was fantastic! Even though it was crazy busy and we were a large party she was still super nice and positive. And she went above and beyond! I asked for a lot of napkins so she brought them AND she brought a lot of wet wipes as well. She was great! A lot of the workers were way nice. It was a good atmosphere. I recommend going here.
