The food was great and the service was great, but if you decide to order the fish dinner, please beware!! Last night my husband ordered the fish dinner, and the waitress asked if he wanted two or three pieces.. since he's ordered this several times before and gotten three pieces he told the waitress he'd like three. Well, all was fine until we received the bill.. we were charged the $14.99 for the dinner PLUS $10.99 for the extra piece of fish. We told the waitress that she would have to revise the bill because we were charged twice for the fish dinner; however, she said the $14.99 was for the dinner and the $10.99 is what it costs for the extra piece of fish. We said $10.99 for one piece of fish was ridiculous; we said she should have told us it would cost that much prior to ordering, and my husband certainly wouldn't have ordered it so asked to speak to a manager.. the manager then came to our table and also said that's what an extra piece of fish costs and there was absolutely nothing she could do for us! So unless you're willing to pay $25.98 for a three-piece fish dinner at the Appleton Texas Road House, then only order the two-piece fish dinner and save yourself $10.99!!! read more

Normally it's a great place to eat. We did not mind the wait. It was being served cold food and under cooked food that was the the problem. We got seated and it was 20 to 25 five minutes until they asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered our right away because it had been so long and still took a long time to get cold chili and a steak that was way under cooked. When you go to a steak place you don't think you have to explain what medium rare is but I did. It look as if they put on the grill for 2 seconds. Went to this restaurant on 05/15/2022 got there 10 minutes after they opened with a group of 11 for my daughter's birthday dinner. I requested a table or tables not a booth. We were told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. I thought that is weird I could see two sections of the restaurant were completely empty. We waited outside for about 35 minutes and we're told our table was ready. We came back inside only to see still no one seated in over half the restaurant. They took us to the far side of the restaurant and gave us to booths for 11 people. I said this is not going to work that is why I requested a table when we came in. In the adjoining section their were two empty tables with no one at them. I said can we please sit at the tables as 11 of us are not going to fit in two booths and we would like to be together. I was rudely told no you can't sit there this is what we have available. I then explained well I guess at least 2 of us will have to stand to eat because we are not going to fit 11 of us in 2 booths. The waitress then said well then grab two chairs from that table and put them on the ends of the booth. Are you fucking kidding me. Nope she wasn't. We we took chairs from the table we requested to sit at and put them on the ends of the booth. This was way to crowded with no leg room or room for everyone's meals. Not to mention blocking the walkway with chairs. But to top it off no more than 10 minutes later they seated a couple at one table and group of 4 at the other table. Now this really pissed me off. We requested to speak with a manager and explained the situation that fell on completely deaf ears. The manager said that is not how they do it there the customer does not decide where they want to sit. Well thank you very much we will choose to go somewhere else from now on and will not recommend Texas Roadhouse of Appleton to anyone. read more

And then she forgot about us. When I finally got her attention, she said just a moment. That's fine. Was just a reminder we were waiting and ready to order. Waited another 5 minutes. She finally shows up and asks if we are ready to order. I told her the appetizer we got was cold and we never got any plates. She grabbed the appetizer plate and took off. No ordering of food yet. Finally we received a new waitress and said that Brooke had a family emergency and had to leave. Ummm... she was still serving tables next to us. Thanks for lying to us. At least she took our order. So we waited. And waited. Appetizers arrive. They are surprisingly hot. Then we wait for our salads. Waited. Waited. And then they come out. One dressing wrong. No biggie. And now we wait for our food. FINALLY! Our food comes out. And it's ok. At least it was hot. Overall it took and hour and a half to get our food. Ate half of it and left. Everyone lost their appetite. We were just pointing out the cold food and lack of plates. Don't ask how is everything if you don't want the truth. The tantrum wasn't called for. Poor service. We visited the Grand Chute, WI location at about 8 p.m. on October 18, 2022. We were offered a table right away and some bread. We continued to sit at the table for nearly 20 minutes before flagging down a waitress. We inquired about being served and who our server might be. She responded that it is supposed to be her, but that she was supposed to be "cut". This true lack of professionalism is the reason why we will not be returning and encouraging everyone who will listen to us to do the same. The texas roadhouse is a good place to go to. It fits the BBQ formula chains I've seen before, but it's a little more rounded. First there's free bread with cinnamon butter and peanuts. At this one they give you a bucket to toss shells in, instead of the floor. I prefer the bucket. After having that a guy came by and offered us a sample of the ribs, which I immediately ordered. I also had the pull pork in a combo. My sides we're really good, some sort of spicy rice, and a salted, buttered, peppered corn on the cob. Plenty of food and pretty tasty. read more

First of all, they are OPEN! Call or place your order online! I placed the order online and it was ready in about a half hour. When you arrive, pull into one of their lanes they have marked and call the number displayed. Someone will bring your food right to your car and they are so appreciative of your patronage right now! First time here and I'm very satisfied with the overall experience. The food is good and really great quality for the price. The staff is friendly and we had excellent service. I ordered the Dallas filet medium well. When I got my steak it was well done. I let my server know and she immediately took it back and said she'll get me another one. When I got the new one, it was perfectly cooked the way I wanted it. Well seasoned and just amazing. It was busy at the time I went, so I really appreciate them getting me another steak in time. I am not a Chain Restaurant fan but Texas Roadhouse is fantastic. We called ahead and got on their waiting list so we could run an errand before we ate. When we arrived we waited only 2 minutes and were seated. We ordered and the food and drinks both arrived quickly. They have Shiner Bock on tap which is great. The steaks were done as ordered and the sides were wonderful. Great place if you are doing the Wait Watchers diet. One important note, the place is really convenient and safe. We love Texas Roadhouse, normally. They were packed as usual and I had called ahead and we got in within 15 minutes of arrival. There were 4 of us as we were treating our son-in-law to a birthday treat. When we were seated, we got our drinks which took almost 20 minutes as they were very busy. Then we ordered our food from a waiter. After our drinks were just about gone, our food came Except for my salad and no buns yet. We told our server that we needed buns and I didn't have my salad yet but to put it in a box to go. The buns and boxed salad arrived after approximately 10 minutes. The next day, I opened the box to eat the salad and there was no dressing included. in fact, the entire salad had just been dumped into the box because all the cheese was on the bottom. What a joke!!! The hostess sat the 4 kids ages 7-16 in a completely different section as the adults. I refused to accept this seating arrangement, and asked to speak with a manager. The manager that spoke with use, Regina was a joke, and thought her sh*t didn't stink. We found 2 tables next to each other and we told her we will take them. She never stopped by our tables and asked how things were. We had issues with one of our meals and a male manager took care of us. Our server Lisa was wonderful, and help make our meal enjoyable. I love Texas roadhouse...usually. I don't know if it was a bad night or what. We did call ahead seating to avoid the hour long wait. This worked out well, we were able to go in and get sat within about 5 minutes of our arrival. This was the smoothest part of the entire experience. They were waiting for bread and as soon as it was available the hostess brought some to our table. The table we were set at felt a little sticky in places. It should be noted that they were completely slammed. Our server didn't come for awhile and when she did she seemed frazzled. In her defense it appeared as though she got triple sat. She also appeared to be running all of her own stuff out of the kitchen to her tables. So first she came and took our drink orders then it took awhile to get said drinks then she took our appetizer order...and then quite some time later I had to flag her down so we could order our meals and that's how it went for the rest of the meal. As for the food; the appetizer came and it was cold but we waited so long for it (25 minutes) we told her we'd just deal with it because we were hungry. Then our meals came..she forgot the 2 sides for one of our meals and we never got them. Then for my sirloin it was overcooked and tough. Needless to say it was pretty disappointing all the way around. It accomplished the goal of a meal and filling our bellies but aside from that it was completely underwhelming. read more

You get a bucket at your table and get crackin. I felt weird throwing my shells on the floor, but they want you to! Hot rolls, pipin hot and sooo yummy. I think they are topped with cinnamon. My steak was perfectly cooked and my sides were surprisingly really good. I ordered green beans to be healthy and didn't try them until I was done with my food. They looked kinda odd to me but I took a tiny taste and was blown away by how yummy they were. I think they had bacon bits mixed in. My steak was under $15 and was just as good as the fillet's at Outback. I had a huge margarita to go with my lunch and still had money left over for some drinks later on that night! Even though I was famished, I ended up getting just a few rolls, which I ate with the really delicious cinnamon butter. My dining companions were fine with their food. I just would not recommend this place to a vegetarian AT ALL. I left starving. So, three stars is my experience. The wife and i went last week (for lunch) and the hostess was rude, she sat a party of 2 before she ever greeted us. The party of two that the hostess sat before us came in after us. Although when we did get a employee on the phone, she placed us on hold for 15 minutes. Therefore we were never able to order food. The employee didn't give us a chance to get food from here, after hanging up we tried calling again but unsuccessfully couldn't get anyone to answer. We drove past the restaurant (on our way to another restaurant ) and it wasn't too busy . My husband and I have been to this particular location a few times and the food has always been very consistently good. The steak is well seasoned and I love how mildly seasoned the mash potatoes are. Their steak sauce is very good, but a little bit on the sweeter side (not what I'm used to); still, it is very delicious. Their chili is AMAZING. First time trying it today; I will definitely order again. I'm usually not a big bean person but the beans in their chili is fantastic. As usual, the bread and cinnamon butter is delicious and fluffy. Always recommend people to come here for the steak and bread :) read more
