When Texas Roadhouse opened we could not get in. Recently we came on a Sunday, early afternoon. I walked in and only had to wait less than 5 minutes. The food was very good. I was pleasantly impressed. Our service was outstanding. Maya is a super waitress. She got our drinks and was able to correct our under done rolls. She came back with perfectly cooked rolls. Once we were done, the table was bussed immediately by Kinney. We were impressed with how everyone was helping each other and making sure things were getting done. What an added treat they did a line dance with all the waitresses and waiters. Well done on the team feel at Texas Roadhouse. The decor fits our area in the Pacific Northwest. I really wanted to like this place. We drove all the way from Everett because so many people had told us it was good. Unfortunately everything was so over salted that none of us really ate our meals. We thought that we would try the Easter Take Home Meal, so we ordered it online and picked it up yesterday. It is supposed to include a 3 pound prime rib (48 oz), baked potatoes, rolls, salad, sauces, butter, etc. Everything was there, but almost 10 oz. of the prime rib were missing. It weighed 2 lbs 6 1/8th oz. I understand being off an ounce or two; however, 10 oz is over half-a-pound. That is unacceptable and, frankly, out and out theft by deception. If you advertise 3 lbs and I pay $104 + tax, the weight better be closer than in excess of a half-pound. The prime rib looked small, so I decided to weigh it. I have an electronic scale and put a small plate on it and zeroed it out. I put the fully wrapped prime rib on the plate and it weighed 2 lbs 6 1/8th oz. Not a happy moment. Went to Texas Roadhouse yesterday as I had to kill some time while my dog was being groomed. I had the ribs, and my mom had the pork chops from the early bird menu. The rolls arrived first. I found them exceedingly sweet. I am not a fan of sweet bread with food so others may enjoy them. The ribs were very tender, but again super sweet and not very interesting. Corn? Way too sweet. Lindsey was amazing! she was on top of her service game!! We ordered right away and received our food in impeccable time! I ordered the beef tips, they were lukewarm warm to cold and the brown gravy was very salty. The sweet potato I ordered was supposed to be loaded. It was just the potato and marshmallows, no Carmel no butter just plain with marshmallows! I'd just like to say that if you're too busy to put in the effort to cook so correctly don't bother. your establishment charges a lot for the food we order. The party next to me at the bar found hair in their food and sent back their steak twice (both times it was raw in the middle). The staff was so overwhelmed and not adept at customer service the group didn't raise the issue of the hair and just moved on. Ambiance is cool and service was great. I went to the Texas Roadhouse in Coeur d' Alene, ID back in 2008 and I remember it was amazing! Huge portions, hot steaks/food, and peanuts you can scoop up yourself and throw the shells on the floor. Things have definitely changed since then. They give you bagged peanuts in a bucket and you can't throw them on the floor! The steak I got was small, warm (definitely not served hot) and I asked for medium well ribeye and it was overcooked and dry. So sad. We went with a group of 6 people. The country fried steaks were huge and smothered with yummy gravy. The beef tips were good but dry. The bowl of chili is massive and extremely meaty and hearty. I loved the chili the most. Sides were awesome as usual. The warm fresh bread with the cinnamon butter is fantastic! The appetizers we got were the fried pickles with thick ranch and the rattlesnake bites were phenomenal. So good and I highly recommend you get that as an appetizer. The ribeye steak and shrimp dinner was pretty good (except for steak) but the shrimp was perfect. It's served on some Texas toast. The only restaurant that we've been to in the past months that can seem to cook a medium rare steak correctly on the first try/attempt! My dinner partner is a picky person (putting it mildly) and I've seen him send 2-3 steaks back at one meal!! When I arrived we were put in the system so we could get a table. While we were waiting, all I could see were servers grabbing a slip and calling out people's names. I got a text message saying " Please gather your party quickly and proceed to the host stand to get one of the next open tables -TXRH". It wasn't clear to me I had to actually check in. It may have been because I was too tired and hungry to understand the text. So we waited longer. When I got the 4th text message I went to the host stand and said my name isn't being called. They said I needed to check in. I told them I saw people being called up by name and they said those were the people whose number was input incorrectly. I think they didn't understand what I meant because everyone's names got called out. But after our waiting was done we got to wait some more for a table. I think if the text message was a little more clear and said "check in at the host desk" it would have saved time and a lot of frustration. At most restaurants when you get a text message they are ready to seat you. That is not the case at this restaurant. The baked potato had a lot of salt on the outside. The steaks were overdone and dry. Apparently that had been happening all night so it wasn't just us. We got offered to have steaks remade. Kaleigh is a rock star and made the evening better! She understood our visit didn't start out in the best way. She mentioned that several coworkers called in sick so they were short-staffed. This was our first and likely last time at this restaurant chain. This is all my opinion of course, but the place WAS crowded and we had to wait for a table, though there were plenty of unoccupied booths. While waiting, they offer bags of peanuts to keep one busy. Somehow, the peanuts did not taste good. Hard to mess up a peanut. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the BBQ ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and tasty, though kind of fatty. I prefer the spareribs cooked down more. Here endeth the good opinions. The service was slow. Lots of waiting for a waiter to show up, and then even longer for the meal to arrive. The music was LOUD, which could have been OK, but the sound system was not up to the volume, or the acoustics were terrible, or something, but the music was muddy and distorted, and made conversation a yelling event, and did not add to the enjoyment of attendance. I wonder if the staff experiences any hearing loss because even they have to lean in close to communicate. The wife got the ribs and chicken plate, with mac and cheese. I got a grilled shrimp appetizer. When you are seated, they bring some rolls and a butter mix. The rolls are quite sweet, and the spread is something they whip up that is also sweet, and heavy on cinnamon, neither of which offerings were appealing. Sweet to start? No thanks. Speaking of sweet, the one thing that I expected them to have, a Texan staple, was sweet tea. Nope, just regular tea. In most places, you have to tell them not to make it sweet. Go figure? As I said, the pork spare ribs were tasty enough, the chicken was a thin fillet of breast meat, sauced, but still kind of dry and oversalted. The dish came with a choice of sides, they were out of baked potatoes, so mac and cheese was the choice. Well, it was at least mac. Little to no cheese was evident. The stuff was dry, and it looked very close to plain boiled macaroni. Oh, and tasted about the same. My grilled shrimp appetizer was way over-salted, and did not look to be what I consider grilled. I asked if it was grilled on a flat top or a flame grill. After much research, the server said it was a flame grill. However, the shrimp showed no evidence or flavor of having been flame-grilled; Uniform color with no char or taste of same, which was what I was anticipating. So, all in all, the experience at Texas Roadhouse was less than we expect for a repeat visit. read more

The ambiance was amazing. Two times in the past 7 days we have visited the new Bellingham location, and the consistency is bar none. First server was Brinder and today's was Kenna. Warm, energetic, smile across their face as they are genuinely happy to see you and serve you. Both visits, Manager Ainsley visited our table, unprompted, just to check in and see what went well and ask for our opinions. From start to finish's, the Texas Roadhouse in Bellingham is the best one I have visited and had the pleasure of dining at. It's very loud in here. It's very, very packed in here, good thing we got on the waiting list while we were driving here (and I suggest you do the same) otherwise we'd be waiting an hour for a table. So, like I said: it's noisy, it's dark and it's very roadhousey. They have a bucket of peanuts on every table and lots of interesting neon beer signs on the walls, I'm kinda surprised that there's no sawdust on the floor and where's the mechanical bull? Okay, so we got seated pretty quickly and our waitress was right there to take our drink order. Service was beyond excellent; they must have at least 2 waiters per table and plenty of managers running around. There was even a floor show- half the staff did a line dance in the aisles. I had to slide over so as not to get smacked by the waiter dude as he swung his arms around but it was quite entertaining and definitely not what we were expecting. (Heads up, don't ever let them know that you are celebrating a birthday or an anniversary or you will get a rousing "YEE-HAW!!!" followed by singing and dancing by the other half of the staff and some sort of torture involving a saddle that they wheel down the aisle for God knows what purpose...) Anyway... We ordered 2 original margaritas which were excellent, a Cactus Blossom, again excellent, the boneless chicken wings with hot sauce, just meh, to start. For mains I had the Chicken fried Chicken, it was huge! And tasty. The cream gravy was rich and satisfying. My husband had a half rack of ribs with the chili. The ribs were tender and deliciously smoky but needed more sauce. (Next time we will ask for extra). The chili was really good, I think the flavor profile was a bit cumin forward but I liked it. I was in Bellingham for a show on 10-24-2024 and was happy to see Texas Roadhouse very close to my hotel. I knew it had only been open for a few weeks but I gave myself enough time to wait, enjoy a meal and get to the theater in time. The waiting area was loud and very busy but I appreciated the text telling me to go to a designated area in order to be seated. The service was excellent and when my Country Fried Sirloin arrived it was hot and delicious, as were the green beans and mashed potatoes. Next time I go I'm going to get 2 sides of the green beans and skip the potatoes because the beans were just the way I like them. I will be going back there the next time I'm in Bellingham, only I'll be sure to join the waitlist online! read more

Yet, none of them acknowledged it! There were other birthday guests around me because they rolled a saddle by me with dessert & candle in hand! My dinner was 9 piece shrimp. I had to send it back after first bite; the shrimp were ice cold and rubbery. I asked her to please ask them to cook more. My husband's steak was overcooked. He had to send his back too. Both entrees were cooked right on the second try. My husband requested a glass of milk be brought out with his steak; she didn't fulfill his simple request but instead acted like she was doing him a favor. Our dinner guests loved their entrees, beef tips and road kill burger. We asked for go containers and she disappeared after dropping them and the check off at our table. I had a free appetizer coupon sent to me via the VIP club and she forgot to take it off the check. I had a cranberry mock tail that came watered down by ice. No, I do not recommend you go here for your birthday or any special occasion. We had to pay $140.00 to be treated like their mistakes were ours! Will never do this again! read more

I would given 5 stars, but my and my husband's steak was cooked rare, not medium rare. We didn't send it back, because we were going to take the steaks home. The food and the prices were great but our service was horrible our servers name was Amanda and we barely got any attention from her if we wanted something we had to track her down and ask her for it she never came to our table to see if we needed anything. Called us in for they were busy and said we had a half hour wait when we got there we gladly waited the half hour but once he got called inside we had to wait another half hour to 45 minutes before we were even sat. The food took almost 45 minutes to get to us. It was good and tasted amazing but still took too long to get to us. We've been here several times before during their busy times and we've never had to wait this long and never had this bad of service. read more

First off, the restaurant seems to benefit from lack of competition in the area due to the absence of steakhouses. The shrimp were cooked nicely, supposedly grilled but it must not have been directly on the flame since there were no marks, and again, too salty. The baked potato was great, but toppings were somewhat sparse and not really "loaded". Caesar salad was decent but not memorable except for the croutons and the fact it was served on a chilled plate, which is a nice touch. I liked the fact the default amount was 20% on the tablet, but what irked me was that the preselected amount was post-tax, when traditionally you don't tip on tax or alcohol (unless you're served the drinks in the bar itself). Both my wife's steak and mine were undercooked, as we both ordered medium rare and it came out rare and blue rare. Despite the manager making it right by taking the two entrees off the bill, it did not make up for the overall disappointment. For a place that seems to promote their steaks, it would seem that getting the proper cooking temperatures would be key to their success and focus. Needs improvement. read more

My partner and I went here for the first time and we were super excited to try it, as we walked in it was super loud and busy so I was assuming it must be good if it's busy because that's usually the case. We get seated and the server brings us plates. Right as she puts them down they're still dirty covered in gravy and food still so I ask for a new set of plates. I already knew by this experience it wasn't going to be good. I get to opening my silverware and THEY WERE DIRTY TOO. The server plays it off and felt super bad and I get it. It's not her fault. But anyways we get our food and the steak on my salad was undercooked the dressing was bland and the 30$ salad was just overall bland. He ordered a steak which wasn't the best and I could've made it at home for him which would've been better. I gave it a 3 because the server was so nice and attentive, but it should get a 1. I ordered a Smokehouse burger, rare, and what I got was 99% raw ground beef. Basically steak tartar. It was disgusting. A mostly raw, quite thick patty, with a very, very thin, barely visible brown crust on the top and bottom. It didn't even hold its shape. Just raw mush inside a hamburger bun. I only ate half and tried to eat only the seared parts. Brought what I didn't eat home to cook. They have warnings about undercooked food but there's rare and then there's raw. This was raw. Blech. This is a new place in Bellingham, it is actually a breath of fresh air to have a new establishment come into the community. The weight was about a half an hour, and I attribute that to its newness. We got seated in the bar area, the bread is delicious and our waitress was delightful. The music is way too loud, I can see how it would keep the young employees motivated, but very difficult to have a conversation. We ordered our food and we had to wait about 40 minutes for our food to come, which means we had to order more drinks because we were waiting. We had the rib tips, they had lots of flavor, but they were overcooked and very rubbery almost like a Goodyear tire. I had the mushroom chicken, it was delicious with the loaded potato, the potato was a little undercooked and mealy. It's a very casual place to come too and I think they're still trying to work some of the bugs out. I will be back because I would like to be able to give them a fourth star. One tip is call early and get put on the waitlist so that you don't have to go sit in What I would call a penalty box, with a bunch of people throwing peanut shells on the floor. read more

I had such hopes for Texas Roadhouse and eagerly awaited their opening. When we had family visit we decided to try it out. Unfortunately, it was quite a disappointment. First, even if you are on the wait list, the wait on a mid week is over an hour, and then you have to wait again once you are admitted in. The music is so loud we couldn't hear our server and had to yell our orders. Even then the poor gal could not hear and had to clarify our order several times. Then, it was more waiting. Finally the food came and the steaks were grissely and overcooked. The yeast rolls with honey butter were good though. My wife and I are Canadian Snowbirds who reside in SoCal for the Winter. This is great restaurant chain. Overall, it provides excellent overall value. The service is great, the food is very good, the ambiance is very good, and it's a very happy place. My wife and I have been several times, always to the location, in Menifee, CA. I've had the steak, NY strip and the filet, both very tender and tasty. They have very good ribs too. Their warm buns come quickly, but we always ask for butter, rather than that sweet butter, that many customers prefer. Their side dishes are also excellent. Service is first class, and I get the feeling that the Servers actually enjoy working there and it's very much a teamwork system. I do recommend trying a Texas Roadhouse on your travels. You will not be disappointed. read more
