Welp, I am giving 3 stars because of either the bar, the waitress or both combined. We got here about 6pm and were seated promptly. Well steak picks first of course. Now I've never sat at the bar nor saw it close up, but there was no beer on tap! Ordered a couple top shelf margaritas and a bottle of Stella and Blue Moon. No Blue Moon. (Also no bottled water) so my kidneys got no help lmao. Next I ordered the Mango margarita and was brought the Hurricane. I was like whatever, I'll drink it. It was blamed on the bartender, but it is my belief that if you have a table you should know what to bring to it. You as a server have the order in hand. Steak was good and cooked right. My son ordered brown gravy with the onions and mushrooms and was given like a HEAP of onions and no gravy. Lastly having a night cap lol ordered a Jack Daniels mixed drink under LIT and was brought ANOTHER MARGARITA. I made her take it back and when she brought the correct drink I felt the need to point out the difference. Something is lacking pretty tough at the bar, be it the bartender and or waitress and stock. I'll be back because I'm out that way every Monday. This was almost a 2-star review. When I first walked in there were four young girls standing at the counter talking. At first I thought I was wearing Harry Potter's invisible cloak, because they did not see me. I almost had to step in the middle of their conversation to make myself known. I finally told them that there were two in my party and they handed me a buzzer and went back to talking. I'm glad that I knew what the buzzer meant. I was not even told how long the wait was. My buzzer finally goes off and I take it up to the counter. One young lady took the buzzer out of my hand and said follow-up me. Not in a nice way, but a come on you were messing up my conversation kind of way and she was going to get back to it after I was seated. I stayed to see how the night was going to finish up. When our server approached the table and introduced herself as Andrea I felt like I was in a totally different establishment. Andrea gave us five-star service. She kept our drink tapped off and mad sure to ask if we like our food or not. We both ordered salmon. I got mine with rice and my daughter got her's with applesauce. The salmon was cooked to perfection. So delicious. After we finished eating the floor manager came to our table and asked us about our service. I asked him if he wanted a truth or a lie. He said the truth of course. I proceeded to let him know that the front of the house needs to realize that they are the face of the establishment and that they can make or break an experience for a customer. He apologized and agreed with me. I also went on to tell him that Andrea was an asset to the Bowie Texas Roadhouse, as well as the staff that cooked that delicious salmon. It started with the hostess. No greeting just a question. How many. Then silence for a while as we just stood there waiting. Then a directive to move and stand elsewhere. Please? Not in this hostess' vocabulary. Smile? Not in her non verbal repertoire. Seated. Things were looking up initially. The server came, was polite and attentive. Until the food came. At that point abracadabra she disappeared so if something else was needed (it was) there was no one to tell. Eventually we flagged down another server who said he would take care of it but apparently forgot. In to the manager who listened, asked how he could help and took care of the issue. While seated we looked at dirty plastic dividers which were supposed to be clear as in see through but all you could see is that they needed to be cleaned. We won't be back! read more

We avoid this site and drive a little further to the Columbia, MD location, because this location is simply too noisy and the food is never properly prepared. We tried to give it another chance last night and the dinner rolls were undercooked, the steak was the nastiest and toughest sirloin I think I've ever tried to eat and was not cooked to order, and the shrimp were lukewarm and tough. It was a disaster from start to finish...a perfect storm...the winning trifecta of a bad dinner. Do yourself a favor and go to another location. read more

Greetings. This place used to be nice. The tea was lack luster. It was brown water taste - the tea didn't seep long enough & you can tell that the tea was weak when you look at it. And with the amount of guests, Texas Roadhouse is not spending their profits wisely. Why are the seat cushions cut & torn? It's long overdue for them to be replaced. Also when a guest leave, why aren't the floors swept? The rolls are DELICIOUS as usual. Glad they haven't changed! This restaurant IS NOT REALLY READY for handicap guests. A lot of renovations need to be considered. read more

This has been our go to restaurant for family birthday celebrations until COVID. My BFF is visiting from Atlanta so I wanted to share my Texas Roadhouse birthday experience with her. we were seated right away because I added us to the waitlist. I arrived wearing my birthday mask and tiara, cus we're celebrating. The waitress, Susan was immediately an issue. She didn't acknowledge that we were celebrating. But as she tried to take our orders she was focused on the next table, so much so that mid-sentence she'd stop and look to the other table, we waited but she got progressively worse as she was totally disengaged during the entire time. Susan continuously went M.I.A so one time when she graced us with her appearance, my girlfriend told her I was celebrating my birthday, she said ok and left. Before we knew it we heard happy birthday but it wasn't to me, lol. Then they all disappeared and we waited for Susan to return. When she did return she had the check, didn't ask about refills, didn't ask about dessert, didn't ask if we wanted the bill split, did attempt to clear dishes from the small table, I told her the soda was flat, someone else bought me a Sprite which I did not ask for (I dislike Sprite), when she returned with my requested soda she didn't bother to take away the flat one. Through all of this, shes wearing a mask, her words are muffled and we had to constantly ask her to repeat what she said. I'm pissed! I looked for a manager. While waiting at the front, guess who appears, Susan asking if there was a problem, why yes Susan there were many, as I started telling her of the issues she said she'd been trying to find someone to sing happy birthday (which by now we cared nothing about). The manager (I'm guessing he's Dimitri because his name tag is on backwards but on our new receipt it has that name). I went through the very long list of wrongs and the 'MANAGER' asked what do you want me to do? Wow is this how we are treating customers after COVID? He didn't ask nor give a dessert, not a percentage off of the bill or anything remotely managerial. He said I apologize, reprinted our bill and end of conversation! While speaking to the manager, my girlfriend was struggling to the front with our coats, purse and juggling our to go containers and the police on duty saw her and helped her out and we were appreciative and thanked him for assisting, something we didn't get from our waiter or her manager. hmmm, we were DONE! Just left the Texas Roadhouse. Two couples order 2 12 oz Prime Rib and 1 Bone in Ribeye. I know these are fat flavorful cuts. I felt that the Roadhouse staff was cool / offering good and pleasant service. The steaks were cooked well. Trouble, was the cuts of meat contained way too much fat. It was so much fat, I was surprised that a steakhouse would serve such a sloppy cut. When I spoke to the manager Demetrious, he was dismissive and lacking customer service skills. Planning to catch up with my friend and continue her birthday festivities- we decided to meet here at Texas Roadhouse. Because it had been so long since my last visit, I didn't know what to expect in terms of clientele or how busy they are on Thursday nights. I used the Call Ahead Seating feature and boy am I happy I did. We arrived at 6:15 and it was PACKED. Luckily, there was no delay in getting seated. The server delivered those hot fresh rolls & sweet butter spread to torment me. We placed orders and started girl talk but the noise level made it difficult to hear all the juicy details. To exacerbate the situation, it was like 10 other people's birthday so each time the staff gave the TR Saddle Up cheer we had to pause but it added to the fun mood. It didn't take long for our food to be delivered. My grilled shrimp were tender and well seasoned. The portion sizes are large and the prices are so reasonable. Great value! I had to do a double take of the bill which included drinks. I enjoyed my visit and the meal. Our young server was a friendly Bowie State University student so we didn't give him a hard time since that's my friend's alma mater. However, I was parched and had to look for him to replenish my glass of water. Also, the discarded dishes were never removed from our table and no one checked to see if we wanted dessert. I have grown to love this place! My hunnie and his friends would talk about this place all the time until they finally introduced me to it!! The rolls!!! Omg! They are literally a little taste of heaven...fresh out the oven, nice and hot accompanied with this cinnamon butter spread that is absolutely delicious!! One bit and it all just melts in your mouth!!! These rolls pair perfectly with their sweet ice tea. I always get the grilled salmon, fresh vegetables and loaded mashed potatoes with no bacon...and my meal is always consistent. Salmon fresh and seasoned perfectly, vegetables nice and buttery and the mashed potatoes are the best I've ever had!! When it comes to eating there's no limit to what I'd pay for a good meal- but this place here has definitely surpassed some of the more "fine dining" experiences I've had!!!!! read more

Seating in the back near the Willie Nelson corner is a bit tight. The waitress for the booth to the right and left of us backside was in our faces the majority of the night. Besides that I had an ok experience. The Blue Crush lemonade was phenomal. My friend's mom asked for a Sprite and it taste like seltzer water. While I understand that during these times, it can be difficult to operate at the level people are used to, what happened tonight went above and beyond. I ordered curbside pickup for my birthday tonight, and my boyfriend waited in the car for an hour and a half. He texted the restaurant a couple of times, but they just told him it wasn't ready yet. He finally went into the restaurant and found a manager. The manager went into the kitchen and came out with the food, but made no explanation as to what had happened. No discounts or apologies either. When my boyfriend returned, it was obvious the food had been reheated. The steak was tough, and the baked potato looked microwaved. My guess is that they had finished the order a lot earlier, but didn't bother to send a text message. It had just been sitting there on the counter. When we opened the bag, we got 6 rolls instead of 12. And three other items were missing. We were charged for all of it. I've had dinner at this location in the past and it's been a great experience each time. Today, we ordered take out for NYE dinner. The food was delicious as usual but I want to commend them on their wonderful curbside pick up! When I placed my order online I was given the option of pick up or curbside - I wasn't really paying attention to it and pick up was the default. When I arrived, I was kindly told to stay in my car and that my order would be brought out to me. I appreciate the extra steps they are taking to provide curbside - there was plenty staff and they were on it! It was cold too! read more

After smelling the steak cooking on the grill in my neighbor's backyard, I was compelled to go to Texas Roadhouse for my favorite cut of steak, the ribeye. I used the online ordering system, which was painless and allowed me the opportunity to select the time that I wanted to pick up my food. I ordered the 10 ounce ribeye steak cooked medium well with corn and a baked potato. The order also came with their famous rolls and cinnamon butter. When I arrived, my order came out at exactly the time that I selected. The server was pleasant and efficient. No complaints there. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It had a slightly pink center with beautiful grill marks. The corn tasted like it was from a can, but the baked potato was pretty good. The rolls were delicious as usual. As much as I love and house food the current state of affairs has that place giving off such a bad vibe. 1. 2 pop up tents with beach chairs and indoor chairs with staff sitting down with drinks while on FaceTime calls .... 2. Absolutely awful service from the hosts. So incredibly rude. We eagerly walked in with our family to to celebrate my brothers years of deployment with the navy. This is his favorite restraunt and is the food he has been dreaming of while in the wilderness. We had been dreaming of this dinner for a long time. We had 9 people in our family which I understand is on the higher side but not outrageous. The host was so rude and basic dismissed us without communicating why. We tried to split our party into 4 and 5 and even offered to literally pay separately. My husband and I had the best experience here last night. There was no wait on a Thursday night, which was great. The hostesses were great. Very sweet and big smiles and ready to take us to our table. They made small conversation while walking us to our table and it was just a great opening for the night. Our server was Linda, I believe. She was an elderly lady and just the sweetest server. She brought our drinks quickly and made sure we always had fresh bread. She always had a smile on her face. For dinner, I ordered the 6 ounce sirloin with a side house salad and loaded baked potato. My husband ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with a double order of french fries adding cheese and bacon. Both of our steaks were cooked excellent and the flavor was amazing. Overall, we had a great experience. I highly recommend this location. The bread and butter is just sooo good. I had been serviced by Jaison this evening, very disappointing experience: - Told me and my friend there were no lemon products available i.e. no lemons (for water)/lemonade/flavored lemonade drinks. (I just didn't think he wanted to do the extra steps) - We we received our food, it was lukewarm/cold. I had mashed potatoes loaded and my friend had a baked potato loaded, also similar temperatures. YES turned around & went the other way. - Also, he forgot a couple of requested items: peach tea, fruit punch LOW ice, other essential items for our meal. - After we paid he gave us a pen that couldn't write well. A waitress finally showed up and immediately walked passed our table to their table and took their order. Then they took our order and 3 more couples were seated at different tables. I felt instantly welcomed and when they found out that this was the first time there, a waiter came with free sides and a bag of peanuts. Came in with 2 friends for an early dinner. We were. Sat immediately and given those heavenly dinner rolls with that amazing cinnamon butter. So amazing!!! It's one of my favorite things about this place. We all got different cuts of steak cooked medium. I got the Dallas filet and someone else got a flank and I forget what the other one was..... but all 3 of the steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides we got - an assortment - were Cesar salad (over dressed up good), house salad (good), chili (so very good!), a loaded baked potato (decent), mushrooms (not so great) and corn (cold and slimey). The server was nice but a little too absent. I think that good wait staff never lets you have an empty glass. And checks back soon after the food was delivered. First of all, I want to say the two young ladies who helped us at first were very professional and courteous. However, we came into the restaurant and inquired about their hand cut steaks. To our disappointment, all of hand cut steaks in the display case were taken. Having eaten at numerous other Texas Roadhouse locations before, I knew it would not be a problem. I have had steaks cut for me just before closing without an issue. (Our request was at 630 PM) So, I was shocked when the young lady said they had run out. I then asked if I could have one cut. I was told that would not be possible. There was no meat cutter, (only there in the morning) and the manager would not cut the meat. As I stated, I have eaten at numerous Texas Roadhouses previously all over the country. This is the FIRST AND ONLY TIME this has happened. Patrons are attempting to go back to establishments in an effort to help regain what was lost during COVID. As a result, we left and went to Longhorn Steakhouse. Every once in a while, you get a craving for steak (or, I do anyway). When that calling comes, why not slake the thirst at a place known for just that, steaks? I know it's a chain, but the Texas Roadhouse in Bowie is pretty awesome at providing what it says it does. The steaks have usually been outstanding (yeah, not Prime level, but good for an accessible chain). The service is mostly good. The sides and other options are acceptable. (I don't come here for the salad). What I like about it, is that I can get a solid steak for not a huge amount of dollars, and when I'm in the mood for laid-back and delicious red meat, I don't want to have to get all fancy. Don't get me wrong, Fancy has it's place, but it's not what I'm always feeling. TR has that rustic vibe that almost compels you to chill out for a while. ALLERGY NOTE: They are also one of those places that has peanuts everywhere. Used to be shells all over the ground, but they stopped that practice a while ago. But, every table has a bucket full of them, plus a barrel near the waiting area. If you are extremely sensitive to peanuts or the like, well... maybe opt for sushi instead? The servers are usually pretty good here. We've had the occasional misfire in the past, but it's the exception, not the rule. For instance, last time we had to flag someone else down for a refill as our server disappeared for a huge amount of time. Overall, though, we find pretty attentive and reliable service. Basic, simple, no fuss, and a great steak. What more could one ask for? read more
