been going to the Alliance and Stow locations for years and have always had great service and good food. Excited to see one come to Canton so my wife and I invited our friends out for there first Texas Roadhouse visit and our first visit to the canton location. We had called ahead and were quickly seated.....and then we waited... and waited for probably 10 minutes then our waitress sauntered over and we ordered our drinks, appetizers, and steaks. Appetizers came out fairly quickly but our salads took forever. I asked the waitress about this and she told me they had to wait so long after the appetizers came out to bring your salad?? never waited at any other location but whatever that was forgivable. Our steaks came out eventually and My wife's rare steak was almost past well done. We sent it back and the same waitress tells me she crosses her fingers and hopes the steak is done right as they only get it right 80% of the time. The steak finally comes out and it is good. the manager comes over and asks how its going and i tell her not so good, she tells me that they are still working some things out getting food cooked correctly since they have only been open 4 months.What!!! I don't know about you but if I did my job poorly for 4 months I would be unemployed. My advice is skip this location and go to another till this one gets some new management. read more

5***** service and food. The service and atmosphere was great for our granddaughter Georgia's birthday. We had an excellent time capped off by her getting all the attention as they sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her. And offered her a ride on the saddle. She declined. Went for dinner tonight. Very disappointed. We have been to Texas Roadhouse in New Philadelphia and Athens and both were much higher quality. The service was lousy, salads before drinks. 3 different people seemed to be waiting on us. Louder then a bar would be and this is a restaurant. Steaks fatty. Very loud. We couldn't have a conversation at the table without almost shouting. Waitress was very nice but food service was too slow. Managers need to be out on the floor in order to monitor service issues. Food is very average but prices are decent. No hurry to go back. Will stick with Longhorn and Outback. read more

I found the service at the Canton Texas Roadhouse to really need an upgrade. We got salads first, had to beg for our drinks from staff when they were done line dancing-because you are ignored when they were doing this-and got the appetizer 5 minutes before the meal came. We tried to flag down 5 different staff that walked past to get more rolls but was ignored. No dirty plates was taken from the table-making it really crowded to eat. Again had to try to flag anyone down so we could pay and get out of there. While leaving I was looking for a satisfaction form to fill out and the manager there told me there wasn't any and I had to tell her. She told me that that's how Texas Roadhouse is (employees having fun, riding cowboys at another table while another waitress turned a table light so all could see) and I suppose that means being ignored and bad service. She offered to give me a coupon so I could come back---REALLY!---I declined. I have been to other Texas Roadhouses in state and out of state and was really excited to have one come to Canton but I would rather drive a long way (even out of state) than go back to the one in Canton. I had my elderly mother with me and would recommend not going to the Canton restaurant as a family. I really hope the higher ups will take a long look at this location and do some training. read more

a disappointing texas style meal. the winter of 2015 me and my mom ate there. there was a lot of people in the restaurant. my mom and I felt like we were little with all the people in the restaurant. we waited to long for average ice tea's. we waited even longer to have the server take our order. I ordered the rib eye steak and steak fries. my mom ordered the rib eye and baked potato. the meal was cold potato and steak fries. both our steak were rough and not to much flavor. the manager was a goon who didn't know who to help my mom and I. he is a manager and he didn't know. here is what I know I will NEVER UNLESS HELL FREEZES OVER BE BACK! THE SREVICE WAS A TRAINWRECK. THE MANAGER DONT KNOW HOW MANAGE. The manager tells his employees to be nice but he made me feel like because he is a manager he can be odd and it's ok. Me and my boyfriend ate here on 4/14/17 for his birthday, his choice. We both got the 6oz sirloin. Needless to say they were burnt and very dry. We both ordered a White Russian which basically was watered down milk. We even bought a shot of Kahlua to add to it which didn't make a difference at all. I had a baked potato that the butter wouldn't even melt on because it was cold and my boyfriend's masked potatoes were cold too. What a huge disappointment and a waste of money. A group of 7 of us were there probably the same day another reviewer, Randall A., was there. We had almost the same situation. We did the call ahead seating, only to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated. When we were seated it was very cramped and we could barely move our arms. One of us was placed in the already cramped, busy aisle. Unacceptable! We complained and were moved to another table 20-25 minutes later. Also unacceptable! Our server was nice, friendly, but did not refill drinks. Food came out at various times; uncoordinated. My husband's steak was overlooked and took over 40 minutes to get a new steak. The rest of our party had finished their meals, our patience was wearing very thin, we had another commitment, so we took the steak home. We will likely NOT return to this restaurant. We actually frequent the Stow location but even the service and food quality there has declined over the past year or so. Too bad! Used to be a good place for a meal at all locations. read more

This is the first time we have eaten at the canton restaurant,we usually go to the one in Alliance and always very good there. I order the same thing all the time,the steak kabob. Service was good and are meal was served in a timely manner. My first bite was as tough as boot leather I chewed and chewed and chewed and chewed. I finally put that indestructible piece of latex back on my plate and went for another piece,same result. Same result with several pieces. I informed the waitress that this dish was inedible ,she offered to replace it with another kabob. I said not if its from the same cut of meat. I told her to bring me what my wife was having,the medalions. The manager came over and basically disagreed with my evaluation. A half hour later the medalions showed up, I was not impressed. STEAK andSHAKE would have been a much better choice. This place won't be here very long. read more

I went with a group of 15 people. We called the day before to let them know 16 of us would be coming and exactly what time, and were told it'd be no problem. However, when we arrived, 15 of us were split between 3 4-person booths that were not all together. When the two 6-person booths near us came open (before we ordered) we were told they had already been taken. No attempt was made to rectify our celebration being divided. As for the servers, they were friendly, but not the greatest. We were told 3 times she would bring us more rolls before she did. Lastly, the food. I had the BBQ chicken and it was good. The sweet potato and mixed veggies were decent, but no better than anywhere else. A couple of my friends got ribs and said they were mediocre- a 5 on a 10 scale. Another friend got the pork chop and said it was too dry and did not finish it. I am not aware of what the others in my group thought of their food as we were not seated together! If you have a large celebration, there are definitely better choices- if you are set on a steakhouse type place, I would choose Longhorn. If you would go with Italian, Carrabas and La Pizzeria are used to accommodating large parties. read more
