The best chain restaurant in business - absolutely love their bread with homemade honey butter! Their steak is a great value and the cuts of beef are second to none. I love their side salad with homemade dressing/croutons. Portions are also great size and I always enjoy my dinner. Unfortunately this go around was not ideal. I and another guest at the table ordered ribeyes, same size and temperature - they were not only vastly different in cook and size but the seasoning was disproportionate comparing the two. Hostess staff and manager are incompetent. Waited in lobby for an hour after being told 15-20min. The waiting room turned over 6 times while we were there. The excuse was that the party that was at our table had paid and not left when they expected. Manager was rude and vindictive. Waitstaff and kitchen was much better. I'm a huge fan of TR and have visited many all over the country. Every experience is flawless. After moving to Carmel we were very exited to have one close to the house. This TR in Carmel/Westfield is by far the worst. Ordered prime rib medium rare and so did my wife After an extended wait we received our meals. My 16oz was on her plate. We just swapped with our forks. We then realized the steaks were cold and well done. They were absolutely disgusting. I did not get my sides. We sent everything back and then left. Don't go here. I'm a little torn on exactly how to rate this particular location. Texas Roadhouse, of course, is a chain restaurant. If you've been to one, you've been to 'em all. That's not intended as a slam, sometimes, you want to go somewhere where you KNOW what the experience will be, The food here is pretty good. Not the best cuts of meat you'll ever expect, but certainly better than some budget restaurants. Service here as also been really, really good. My issue here has been the noise. Now, I've been to a number of Texas (and other) Roadhouses, and I expect them to be loud, but this one is exceptionally loud, The music is just SO high, our server constantly had to question us because she couldn't hear what we were saying---and anyone who knows me, knows I'm NOT a quiet person. If we could do half stars, I'd go 2.5, but we can't, so 3 it is. read more

We went to this location because our youngest got a free meal from his summer reading program and he's in love with their rolls. I enjoyed my steak with a side of veggies and potato. I really appreciated that the waitress was willing to help me figure out what the veggies were cooked in as I cannot have certain spice blends. She was so helpful and kind while I asked my questions. To top it off, while my husband was packing up his leftovers, his baked potato got knocked on the floor. Our waitress, without even being asked, brought him a whole new potato to take home. Huge space, well used. They have a lot of tables, but this place is always packed. And how could it not be? This location is great. Food: Their rolls and the butter are just phenomenal. I've had their sirloin steak twice. It's seriously delicious. Sides-wise, the first time I got the green beans, which I did NOT like. Second time I went with mashed potatoes with white gravy - way better! My friend had one of the salads, which was huge and looked really good. I'm tempted to get one next time! I always love TRH! I used to go regularly in a different town. This one is very upscale yet still that same roadhouse feel inside. The staff was super friendly. We have a 10 month old and I was worried because they sat us at a booth and we needed a high chair. I hate having her sit out in an aisle. But they brought this neat booth sized high chair that sat on the bench next to me! It was amazing and the baby was so excited to sit at the table. The food came out hot and fresh and my drink was great! This is definitely going to be a family favorite for us! read more

I was denied alcohol service because my drivers license shows my sex as (F) he looked at me and denied to serve me because he assumed I wasn't the correct gender. Along with a poor attitude and condescending tone he told me that because of this my driver's license also wasn't valid. Every time we come here the staff has no idea what is going on. It is a bunch of either poorly trained or just careless teenagers. We watched groups close to the size of ours walk in, no reservation, and immediately get seated. All while we waited for over 30 minutes to be seated with call ahead. What a great addition to Greyhound Plaza, and I'm pretty sure they're not going anywhere like all the previous tenants. I've eaten there twice since their opening and was hesitant, assuming they were still working out the kinks. However, our first server, a gal from Boston who was extremely warm and funny w my kids, even encouraged my son to dance w them, was such a surprise. Our food was timely, and delicious. Our second trip, our server was Keegan, a seasonal transfer for the holidays. They open at 4 pm and we were a little early. At first the hostess wouldn't seat anyone, but the front waiting room was becoming overcrowded and sat us immediately. Overhearing the high maintenance table behind us, we felt sympathetic bc you should never blame servers for mistakes made by kitchen- extra mashed potatoes vs another side. He tried to correct the mistake but there is no pleasing some people. He was very good to us, even w the delay of our food. This is a new place that will continue to add volume to our community. We all just need to remember to be kind to our servers and to be patient. read more

I love me some Texas Roadhouse! They haven't been open long so I was expecting slightly bad service but nope I was mistaken. Our waitress was on top of it! She got our drinks and our appetizer which came out like 2 seconds after we ordered. She was attentive and the staff was nice and constantly running around and making sure everyone was taken care of. The food, I mean of course is awesome! I got the 6oz med rare and it was cooked exactly how I wanted it. And of course the cactus blossom is dangerously good. It's so great to have a Texas Roadhouse in this location, which has been dormant for so long. The staff is super helpful and seem happy to be there. They even do a dance to a certain song on the jukebox, which is enjoyable and fun. The peanuts are plentiful and the steaks and potatoes are delicious! Like other Texas Roadhouses, it's really noisy and crowded. My steak was a little undercooked, but well attribute that to the fact that the cooks are probably still getting adjusted. They have a cool jukebox where you can request what songs are played, which is fun. Overall, a great addition to Greyhound Pass! read more

Soft grand opening. Made reservations online and arrived on time. We were seated upon entry and brought fresh baked rolls with cinnamon butter. The menus varied from table to table and my choice was an 8 oz sirloin paired with garlic butter shrimp. For my sides, I chose mashed potatoes with cheese and a creamy, crisp Cesar salad. The temperature of all the food was perfect. The rolls kept coming, and there were appetizer samples were plentiful. We weren't rushed in or out and it was obvious that the staff cared about your satisfaction. For this is be the newest location here in the Indy area this location is winning. There was a bit of a wait to be seated because it was dinner time and its the newest spot in the area. Once we were seated we were greeted by our server. She told us about the margarita special and about her favorite flavors. We ordered drinks and we got them about 5-7 minutes later, if that long. In that time, she checked to see if we were ready to order, of course we weren't so she gave us more time. When we were ready to order we gave us good advise about the menu and her preferences. Our food came out good and hot and everything was cooked to our desired temperatures. I was there with 2 friends and we were celebrating a birthday and we were catching up since it had been months since our last outing. We sat and talked longer than most after our meal. Out serve still came over and checked on us, even after we had paid our checks. We asked if we needed to leave and she reassured us that we were okay sitting and chatting. Wife and I walked in to a jam packed TRH. "Oh boy... going to be a wait." Walked up to the hostess stand to find out that they could seat us immediately if we were over 21 and wanted to sit in a both. Great news! We obliged. Seated immediately, we were greeted by one of the greatest servers I've ever had. ROSS WAS INCREDIBLE!! Funny, energetic, attentive and personable. This guy is the real deal! Nothing special. Just like any large chain steakhouse. Maybe my expectations are too high ... to get my steak cooked the way I requested and to be warned what a "loaded" sweet potato means. Tip: a loaded sweet potato comes covered with melted marshmallows. If that's what you want, Texas Roadhouse has you covered. I was hoping for butter and brown sugar. Unfortunately, I didn't see anywhere that the menu described "loaded", and I failed to ask. (Shame on me?) I prefer my steak medium - almost always ordering a filet. But at most restaurants, I end up with an over-cooked steak. So, I often ORDER medium rare in hopes of getting medium. The server did a good job of confirming what medium rare meant. And I ended up with a steak with almost no pink. Sigh. I scraped the marshmallow off the sweet potato ... but it was too late. The sweet potato had been infused with the taste. I think I only tasted a bite :-/ I tried to get through the steak, but could only stomach half of it. It might as well have been a burger. I should have asked to see a manager. But my family was generally pleased with what they ordered. The server asked a couple times if I needed a box - like she didn't quite know what to do with me. We just had the BEST experience for dinner. The food was fabulous but they went above and beyond in the customer service department. I worked in fine dining for years and these folks pulled out all the stops - bravo guys! Our server, Kate, was fantastic and friendly and she was handling several large tables in addition to us. We felt like we were her only table, she was a total gem. We had two managers stop by our table at different times after casually mentioning to her that it was our first time in the restaurant. I didn't catch the first guy's name but Caleb was the second one. They were both extremely nice and welcoming...nothing I've ever experienced before, lol. Was in town visiting for the holiday a couple weeks ago and my stepfather wanted steak for his birthday. The ribeye family pack was a no brainer, good value and rolls with the honey butter. I went to the Carmel/Westfield location and everyone was pleasant. The manager even came to speak to me regarding a question I had. He hooked us up with an awesome salad that I'm sure he was more than the meal came with and healthy side portions. The family enjoyed everything. My family and I will definitely keep this Texas Roadhouse location in mind in the future. Good food and excellent customer service. read more

When I got my meal, I had a lettuce "butt" in my Caesar salad and then when I got my salmon it was undercooked when I got to the middle. I sent my salmon back to get refired and it took a while and when I got my salmon, it was the same piece just slightly more cooked. Talk about contaminating the grill with my germs. read more

We waited 30 min for a table, was brought to a dirty table...I should of known then, but I stayed. I never had a bad meal at Texas Roadhouse, but this was my 1st and last time at this location. Kayla our server, was nice. She took our order, brought our drinks, took my salad bowl away and dropped off the check. That was it. Yup. That was the service....on a $60.00 check. Kayla, I waited tables in the 80's, 90's and up to 2003, my last 5 years at Applebees. That was horrible service....or lack thereof. You would of gotten $12 instead of the crappy $2, but you have to work, like I used to, for it. My son's meal was cooked perfectly, mine, was cold. The steak, ribs and fries...all cold. Kayla was nowhere to be seen, neither was management. No one checked on us at anytime. Kayla showed up when we were done. My steak was well, not medium like I ordered. I did tell Kayla, but she dropped the check off and never returned. I found the manager and paid my bill. I told him, but he seemed unconcerned. No problem, Longhorns next time. read more

They are always busy, but if you have the app on your phone you can get on their waiting list before you drive all the way to the actual restaurant. It's a nice feature! Food is always good, rolls and butter keep coming!! If your food/steak temp isn't the way you want it, THEY ALWAYS fix it!!! The sweet potato with all the fix ins... OMG Margaritas are also good! Food was really good . Fried onion appetizer thing excellent. Sauce was excellent too. Ordered steak medium rare but came out well done. They asked if everything was ok I asked them if I could get a medium rare steak instead . They went over the top to make it right . They brought out a perfectly cooked medium rare steak and didn't even charge the steak on the bill. To top it off the steak tasted excellent. Everyone makes mistakes. But they went above and beyond to make it right and I ended up having an excellent experience in the end which is why I gave them five stars. This is a newly opened location, as anyone in the area knows. We tried to reserve our place in line on YELP, which DIDN'T work....but Texas Roadhouse has their own app so we won't have that issue in the future. The service was absolutely excellent; they seemed to have a lot of servers, the manager stopped by our table twice while we were eating and then as we were leaving to grab plates/clear the table. My husband's baked potato was bad on one end, and it was quickly replaced. The only thing that could have been better was if they had removed the bad one off the table. Place was busy and noisy, but all restaurants are mostly noisy these days, even the really expensive ones! We were in the corner away from the door (but in the first section inside the door), and there was a definite cold draft that made me leave my coat around my shoulders! read more

I called to place a pickup order and although they have an option over the phone to place an order for pickup, the lady answering the phone wanted to spend 5 minutes telling me I should place my order online. I was FINALLY able to get her to take my order over the phone to pick up my food. It sounds like Texas Roadhouse doesn't need anymore business during a pandemic if this is how they want to treat customers. Horrible experience! First of all, if you are a large family, do not go here! My husband, myself, and our five children went for dinner. They said we couldn't all sit together since they can't have more than 6 people at a table. Apparently it did not matter that we had our own children with us. We had our two oldest kids sit at a different booth. Our drinks were empty more than they were full. Our salads didn't come until after the meal. My meal was completely forgotten and the steak was rare, not medium. It took ten minutes to get ketchup for hamburgers. Oh and no peanuts. I was expecting that they would at least give small servings of peanuts, kind of like chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants, but no. Overall a horrible experience.
