The best word I have for here is chaotic. The food was decent, but took a long to come out. They were packed. No distancing here, and the host got incredibly close to our faces when talking. Avoid sitting in the aisle that leads to the kitchen door as you will constantly be hit by servers going by. Not a very relaxing night out. read more

Visit: Weekend Rating (relative to category/price): 8.3/10 Order: 6oz. Filet Mignon & Grilled Shrimp 8.1/10 For the approx. $25 price range, I would say this was hard to beat! I was absolutely satisfied with what I got. As my two sides, I got Caesar salads, which came correctly per my modification requests (extra dressing/no croutons). The lettuce was fresh, and everything was on point taste wise. The filet was cooked properly to a medium rare, albeit slightttttly under seasoned. Still no complaints. The shrimp... average. (5) On the smaller size and nothing special. Service: 8.1/10 Both of the bar tenders were hospitable and had my drinks refilled promptly. If you have ever been to a Texas roadhouse, then you know you're getting a good mid level steak meal. They are known for their loud atmosphere, hot rolls, cold, beer, and legendary margaritas. I go and keep it pretty simple, having a ribeye dinner, and some ice cold unsweet tea. The service is generally pretty good, it's always hectic in there as it's always a packed house. If you like your quiet steakhouse, this isn't the place for you. It's mostly booths, and a few tables for the larger groups of six or more, but expect a good weight probably for those tables. You can pick a steak from the front if you'd like, or just order off of the menu. They're known for their steaks, but they also have hamburgers, chicken, ribs, shrimp, many sides to choose from like baked potatoes, green beans, Caesar, or side salad Just to name a few. When they see each other, there's a menu at the table for everyone if you'd like appetizers, I would highly recommend the rattlesnake bites, which are fried cheese and bits of jalapeño that come with a side of ranch for dipping. It's a chain restaurant, so the steaks have been almost always in my experience, consistent and tasty. It's a good mid level steak experience and we go there at least once a month to have that experience and I would highly recommend that you try it as well. read more

Great food and friendly service today, however why are the handicap spots on the side of the building and not in the front near the door? I ordered the fried catfish and it was not even edible. The fish was fried until there was no fish lef. just hard breading. They did key me choose something else which was very kind. I had previously had the salmon there but it too was overcooked and pretty terrible. Stick to the steaks. They do a great job on them. They need to drop all fish from their menu since they do not know how to cook it. read more

If you have steakhouse in your name, there is no excuse for a steak that is over done by 4 stages...medium rare comes out well done and the staff says well the steaks are thin. My steak was cut in half to check to see if prepared correctly and wow cut it open and still sent it to me wrong... staff was great but and re cooked my wife's steak however this will be my last trip...sorry guys this is Texas I should know better this one is on me. read more

My family loves this location. I've ordered many different menu items, and everything has been great. The staff is also wonderful. :)

My biggest concern to mention is about social distancing (yes I can feel the eye rolls now) however since we have gone to few a places since things open up we were adequately spaced from others so I didn't really bother me. However last night we were walked to the booths in the left side of the restaurant in the back. We were placed in a table in the end extremely close to a older couple. My concerns were for the elderly couple. In order to get in and out the booth we had to just about bump shoulders. Looking down the aisle you can see the other end table was set up the same way. There were also a few staff who were wearing their mask below their nose (I understand it can be bothersome) but in regards to safety during covid there is definitely room for improvement In regards to service it was good could use some improvement in regards to refill and all the cups/dishes being left on the table by the time food arrived. In regards to how the food taste it was alright the rattlesnake bites didn't leave me impressed, my steak was extremely salty on the blackened/throughly grilled side and once I cut that off it tasted fine. Huge let down tonite. Came with a group of friends and they brought our meal in stages. A manager came to check on us cuz we were still missing a meal, assured us it was on its way, and it still didn't come out until after the rest of our group was done eating. Order was mostly correct, a couple minor mistakes that they fixed. Hopefully we'll have a better experience if we return. read more

The food might taste ok, but beware of hair!! On our visit on 7-7-23 at around 4:30 pm , We entered the Texas Roadhouse in Conroe, near N. Loop 336. To my shock and horror, there were 2 , count 'em, 2 long haired dudes Behind the line, cookin steaks. I love long hair, I have long hair. But, these guys had greasy, sweaty, long hair and they were not wearing hair coverings. By regulation , they are supposed to wear hair nets in food prep areas. How disgusting is that? My husband and I have been to many Texas Road houses ALL over TX, Louisiana, Arkansas and Missouri and THIS one was PERFECTION from the immediate friendly service to our meal, which we ate every bite, to our complimentary peanuts and free appetizer voucher. Called ahead for a party of 11, still had to wait an hour. We all ordered Steaks.... It's known for it's Steak's right? UGH...Over cooked, charred, hard to even choke down, I'm not one to send food back, but they were so busy I really didn't want to take the time for our server, who was wonderful... The food is always amazing and I can never have enough of their rolls with cinnamon butter. This place is not a quiet ambient but instead family welcoming and loud and I love that. The service has always been well the girls always have a smile and give good recommendations and accommodations as well. Definitely will always be my go to for steak. read more

first time coming to texas roadhouse last night, and i'd probably come again one day. the wait time was pretty long. it took 45 minutes longer than our already 1 1/2 hour wait time. finally we were seated at around 9:10pm and started off with their bread & cinnamon butter. I had really high expectations for these because I hear such great things about these rolls all the time! butttt they were definitely missing something for me. I still ate around 4 of them because I was hungry from waiting and then had to wait more for our food. for my first drink I got the key lime margarita, amazing!! I love the creamy-ness to it, I just love cream drinks. I also love key lime so this drink was perfectt my friend ordered the rattlesnake bites for an appetizer, those arrived to our table at 9:30 and I had one because my husband only took a bite out of his before deciding it was way too cheesy for his liking. I thought it was pretty good but I only had the one because I didn't want to fill up since I was already starting to feel full from the rolls hehe finally at 9:58 our food came out! I ordered the texas combo I think it is, with the 6oz sirloin (medium well) & grilled shrimp. for my two sides I got the loaded sweet potato and the seasoned rice. the steak wasn't cooked medium well, but I was too hungry to care so I ate it cooked well done. it was still pretty good it had a nice crust & flavor to it and was still real tender. the shrimp was good nothing special. the bread was also a disappointment because it was a roll cut in half as a toasted garlic bread or whatever. I didn't want another roll, for that I would've preferred a regular texas toast for the garlic bread. the loaded sweet potato was really good, but I do feel like they were missing the caramel sauce it says it comes with on the menu? idk but it was still good anyways. the seasoned rice was great, wasn't high quality rice but tasted exactly how I expected it to taste, therefor it exceeded my expectations for actually being good rice. my husband ordered the porterhouse t bone steak with steak fries and loaded mashed potato. He overall enjoyed his food, I had a bite of everything of his and I would have to agree, his food was also good. I especially liked his loaded mashed potatoes, I only had a nibble of it but what I did try was delicious and flavorful! while eating I did order another drink, a Long Island Iced Tea, it was only $5!! not even happy hour. It was, also, amazing and smooth. I was so sad I couldn't finish it because I was SO FULL already by the time it arrived. Hubby had watched a video ranking steakhouses (chains or multiple locations) & they ranked Texas Roadhouse as being a very good steak for the price. We were told our table was ready. They walked us to our table only to turn around and walk us back because it was cleaned off. Ended up moving us to another table. Go to the table and asked if we could get silverware because none were on the table. Was told sure as she walked away. Thirty minutes came back for our drink order. Asked again for silverware was told sure and walked away. Came back with drinks after 40 minutes and still no silverware. Said she would be right back to take our order. After twenty more minutes we got up and left. Horrible ended up going to Cheddars. read more
