20 oz Ribeye and loaded Baked Potato

This is a family favorite. I love the dinning atmosphere. I can eat in peace and not worry about my kids being a bother to anyone else. Although the music is loud it fits the environment. My server Nikki was awesome. She was very attentive and polite. We ordered steaks and it was delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection of medium well and very well seasoned. Those delicious rolls paired perfectly. This is my favorite spot to go out to eat as a family.

Mom and I stopped in for a random dinner night, and it ended up being just what we needed. The place was kind of busy, but the vibe was cool -- that signature Roadhouse energy with the country music, clinking glasses, and the smell of grilled steak floating through the air. It felt lively without being loud, like everyone was just there to eat good and relax. We got seated right away (no wait -- love that). Every host we passed was actually talking to people, not just seating them -- asking about your day, making small talk, keeping it light. That friendly energy really set the tone. I started with the grilled shrimp appetizer, and listen... it was giving Outback's shrimp on the barbie but better. Perfectly seasoned, buttery, hot -- no notes. My Long Island had a little too much Coke (they always do unless I'm supervising), but it still did what it needed to do. Mom had a margarita that she loved. My bone-in ribeye came out medium well -- a little too cooked on the edges, but that center? Perfection. Juicy, flavorful, covered in sautéed onions and mushrooms, with a baked potato on the side. Mom ordered the Crispy Critter Salad, and it was massive -- fresh, crunchy, and delicious. She only made it halfway through. Our server was great -- I wish I remembered her name because she was on point the whole time. Drinks stayed full, food came out fast, and she had that "I actually like my job" energy you don't see everywhere anymore. Now, let's talk about that bread... We ate so much of it, it should count as a sin. Warm, soft, and that cinnamon butter? Dangerous. The only thing I missed was that old-school Texas Roadhouse feel -- the peanut shells all over the floor. Now they give you peanuts in a bag (thanks to COVID), and while you can still toss them down if you want, it's not quite the same. Still, the place keeps its charm. All in all, the food was great, the service was solid, and the ambiance was exactly what I needed after a long week -- fun, friendly, and full of good energy. We'll definitely be back... probably for the bread alone.

The wait is always so long here since it's literally the only one on the north north side. No one is driving to Conroe to wait here if there's one nearby. The closest to this location is the one on 1960 so that's why everyone goes here. Any time I come for dinner, you're looking at 45-1 hour wait which is why I rated this a 3-star ehhhh... They need to figure out a way to shorten wait times or have a reservation system in place. Anywho, the food is good at Texas Roadhouse, but most of the time the steaks I order are always medium or medium well when I really want medium rare. It's flavorful and tender enough though that I still consider it good enough. The drinks are always good and strong. I don't recommend getting a shot in a tube glass though since it's typically bottom shelf alcohol. You can ask for top shelf but not sure what's their highest top shelf. It's always very loud in the restaurant and there's peanut shells everywhere so be careful!

This is a great go-to for when you don't want to think about dinner, have a bunch of different cravings, or just need some of those rolls and cinnamon butter. Even writing this review I'm craving them. The margs were great, the blooming onion was awesome, servers are nice and country music is fun.

    The Raw shrimp

I don't normally leave reviews but I figured this one would be worth it. My girlfriend and I ate at this location last night and she was served raw shrimp twice. Before we first noticed it she took a bite and spit it out due to the "Texture", I have cooked a lot of shrimp in my day and when I looked at the shrimp on her plate it was blatantly raw! As if the cook threw it on the flat top for 30 seconds on each side. Fully translucent, I told our server that this was unacceptable she was rushing since they were getting close to closing time and promised to bring us new shrimp in a to go box and after 5 minutes she returned and gave us the box. I opened it up and once again they gave us completely raw shrimp. This is unacceptable and I would say avoid getting shrimp here if you don't want food born illness.

    Food with friends

We were invited to join our friends for dinner and I couldn't be happier. It was very busy and that didn't stop Ross from keeping us from feeling welcome and he made sure our order was just right. The food was very good and we will come back again.

The decor/setup provides a slightly upscale, but still casual, sports bar feel that's family friendly. I am soooo picky about fried pickles and these are the best I've had. The pickles were good, crunchy, not overly oily, and stayed together! 12/10 Pickle flatbread: apparently I felt in a pickle escapade mood. Surpringly not over pickly and delicious. I would absolutely get this again. The crust was soft and cheese was melty! 9/10 Fish tacos: average. The chipotle sauce was a bit spicy. Don't know that I would get these again. 5/10 Fries I could skip, not my fave. The street corn was so good, though I wouldn't consider it traditional &! A bit heavy on the red onion, but I enjoyed it! Their sauces were all so good! The prices were fair & I feel like the amount I paid was relative to what I had, so kudos to management for that! We had a group of 10 on a Thursday evening and were the only customers on the patio for most of our visit. I want to make it clear that our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, hardworking, and did her best despite being repeatedly let down by the kitchen and management. Several orders were prepared incorrectly. A steak ordered "as rare as possible" arrived medium-well. It was remade, but still was not cooked as requested. My catfish platter was strangely lukewarm, while another guest described her catfish as rubbery. An order of fish and chips arrived without the chips. A pizza ordered with bacon, pepperoni, and onions came with grilled onions that were not requested, and the bacon smelled and tasted off. Another guest ordered loaded potatoes as her entire meal. Without warning, she was charged $8 for what was described as a double portion, even though she never requested a double order. What arrived appeared to be approximately one cup of roasted potatoes and did not look like a double serving or a complete meal. When we asked to speak with a manager, Andi told us that she had to answer to the kitchen manager and could not address the charge. She then said she was busy and walked away without offering a solution. When I attempted to explain the problems from this visit and the previous week, I was told that the owner, Teek, is usually at the newest location except on Tuesdays, is difficult for the staff to reach, and that I would need to find him myself rather than having management take my contact information and request that he call me. Restaurants make mistakes, but repeated incorrect orders, questionable food quality, missing items, unexplained charges, and dismissive management are not a single mistake. They are a pattern. Our waitress deserved much better support, and our group deserved food prepared as ordered and concerns handled professionally. After two bad experiences in a row, Pacific Yard House has permanently lost our business.

At some point, we lost count on the songs, as one blended into another and each sounded just like the one before it. Hey, it was Thursday and he was a local putting himself out there for us to listen to. It's nice to have live entertainment during dinner and the background music was just background enough. Our seats were near the bar at the high top tables that gave a commanding view of the stage and bar area. The place was crowded for a Thursday night, filled with regulars enjoying the food and ambiance this century old building exudes in spades. Much like the breakfast menu we enjoyed a few weeks ago, our meals were almost identical. We both enjoyed the Reuben sandwich for our dinner. I personally wished it had more kraut, but the corned beef was tender and flavorful. I had added the sweet potato fried and we shared the cheesy fries as an appetizer. Cheesy fries do not do it justice. They were coated with more than enough cheese, accented with chopped onions and other herbs that added flavor and texture. Our waitress was wonderful and explained anything we had a question about during our meal order. I had an amber beer with dinner that really accented the reuben nicely. All in all, the dinner service was as enjoyable as our venture in there for breakfast. The Red Brick Tavern has now become a place we will go to more often ... not only for the food, but for the ambiance. Ciao, Darrell

I first thought it was wallpaper made to look like Life magazine pages, but some pages seemed to be peeling. I don't mind reading hemorrhoid ads from the 60's while drinking my beer per se, just an observation. The furniture was mismatched like estate sale items picked up from people who wanted to think they were high class in the 1960's. You could probably still smell Lucky Stripes every time you sat on the seat cushions. There was no music playing and there were only 6 or 7 (don't you dare do that 6-7 thing with your hands while reading this!) other people inside. So, I had to listen to this pretentious group talking about opera, the child welfare system and other topics while their noses were up and pinkies were out. There was an older guy on the opposite end of the room that seemed to be loudly mocking them. He thanked me for coming as I was leaving.... was he the owner? LOL. I ordered my standard flight from a very nice lady that seemed to be new. I got 2 IPA's (Mongoose Slayer and Striker IPA) that were solid, a Black Venom stout that was ok and a Belgian Quad (Medusa) that I wasn't fond of. There are no food options, but I assume there are food trucks from time to time. The outdoor area has a few games and tables and a more normal atmosphere.
