Not good.. Service was horrible on a Sunday night at 5pm. Wasn't overly busy.. Ordered apps first.. Then waiter came back 10 min later and took our main order. First thing we received were the sides for the main course. Then 10 minutes later a basket of bread with cinnamon butter..which was gross. Then our appetizer came along with our regular meals. My steak came well done and I ordered medium..flavorless. My Buffalo wings came super hot and I ordered medium. No baked beans as a side at a Texas steakhouse? Lesson learned and will not return..Applebee's would have been better and cheaper with more options. read more

Texas Roadhouse is truly the place to go if you want a SUPER filling meal! I ordered the Country Fried Chicken with the creamy gravy, and it's pretty good. The chicken is well cooked and tender. The buttered corn is pretty standard, but the potato is perfectly baked. I will say they aren't super generous with the bacon bits, but overall it was delicious. And OH! We came in on a Saturday night and the place was packed! Hostess seated us right away with two baskets of hot rolls (bonus points !) . Adam (Ice Bear) was our server and he was great! The value here is actually pretty good considering how much the price of food has gone up. I was here on business tonight, after a day long meeting and dining alone. Service was great but I will note, and it did downgrade my rating, I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. I did not. I wanted to be away from people in a booth or table away from the shoulder to shoulder at the bar. The hostess asked me again, do you want to sit at the bar. I said no. Then they asked if I minded a booth by the bar. Ok. I followed my seat guide to the bar area, where I was told again, "we do have seats at the bar if you'd rather be here". No! I don't understand this place. What if I had a drinking issue? I tip pretty well and eat quickly, especially dining alone. My table will turn quickly. I was very disgusted by the seating. Typical experience. Steak was tough, under seasoned and overcooked. Low quality products and it showed in taste, flavor and presentation. Server however was fantastic and great to deal with. I was with a group that likes this chain. Personally I'm not a huge fan of this chain because it's so predictable in menu and quality has sunk over the years. long overdue for a refresh and consider some more sophistication in menu, quality, options and freshness. Packed on a Saturday night! I suggest getting on the waitlist online before heading down. Service was was great, very friendly. We were a party of 6 and all enjoyed what we got, except for the person that ordered the filet medallions. She said they were tough and chewy. I got the chicken critters which are the best chicken tenders! With honey mustard of course. I always get the chili as a side because it's really good. I suggest asking for butter on the side of your baked or sweet potato because they put so much on. I got brown sugar and cinnamon on my sweet potato also. Texas Roadhouse is definitely a top tier fast casual. Simple menu, very little room for error. I got a full slab of ribs, seasoned rice and loaded mashed potatoes. Everything came out perfectly. The ribs were juicy and delicious, the rice was... Rice. And the loaded mashed potatoes were loaded mashed potatoes. Everything was perfect. I sat at the bar and Allie was wonderful. Finally made it here after they have been in my town for a few years.. let's start with the good. The service and people working in this establishment are friendly and attentive, just extraordinary! For food... the chili is superb and the complimentary bread and cinnamon butter is out of this world. For the main meal... my New York strip steak, bone-in was HUGE, perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned and I got it smothered with mushrooms and onions-- this was a big mistake because it was super salty. My steak by itself would've been perfect. My BF got the sirloin and shrimp combo, also he got his steak smothered, same issue, super salty. But his shrimp is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Now, for the sides, corn was sweet, broccoli was fresh and crispy, mashed potatoes just okay ( brown gravy was meh) and his baked loaded potato... again, super salty. I'd skip on the drinks, since you barely taste the liquor. Over all, big portions for the price you pay. Will I come back? Yes, for the steak and to try some other food on the menu, but will never get anything smothered again. Use a steak sauce if you must but no to overly salty mushrooms and onions. We were sitting in the waiting area and he went on about how he only lasted 10 seconds, how he got hard, how he tried to please Alyssa (I believe). While they were behind the black curtain, I'm Surprised everyone didn't hear them from how loud they were. Leave your sexual "achievements" outside of your work environment please :) I would like to actually enjoy my meal. The food? Great! The service? I think Alyssa and I can agree we've both had better. The food is good! What I didn't like was my experience. I ordered a medium well bone in rib eye steak with cooked onions and it came out medium rare. The waiter was gracious enough to take it back and cook it till it was medium well. When he brought it back he included another potato with sour cream. He forgot to include the onions and a fly landed on my fresh potato and got stuck in the sour cream. I can't blame the restaurant for flies coming through a open door but it took away from a nice experience. The chefs should learn how to make a medium well steak without sending it back. You fill up on the sides and then you're full when the main entree is brought back out. read more

The in-restaurant experience is what you'd expect, a little loud, but the beer is reasonably priced and the steaks are delicious. I would not recommend take-out from this location, though. And yes the staff were wearing masks and the practice of social distancing was being used. Didn't order any appetizers just because the amazing endless house baked bread buns were enough for me. We ordered some mango margaritas which were great. We both had 8oz. Sirloin steaks and ordered a medium but I felt mine was a little bit more well done. A heavily populated Texas Roadhouse in the middle of Danbury. This is a popular place to go to and people love it! I fell in love with my first Texas Roadhouse due to their drink selection and their hefty margaritas. It is a great time anytime. This particular incident had me questioning T Roadhouse though. So it's a busy Saturday night around 7PM. It's a 45 minute wait for a party of 2 and the bar is packed. Due to the rain that day there wasn't much of a waiting area outside so everyone was crowded in getting in the waitresses way and the cooks. Our buzzer ringed and we were starved. I ordered the Jamaican Cowboy to start with a kicker of 1800, $9 as expected told by our very friendly waiter. They got us the bread and we ordered a friend onion plate which was so greasy and fattening that you'd only want a few bites. Expected, not ordering gourmet here. During this time our waiter forgot about us several times, forgetting water and just leaving us alone after ordering the appetizer. We did have to call them back and after the entree, the random amnesia to our table occurred again. Within the same, the other staff was very much so paying attention to us since every 15 minutes they had a line dance right in front of our table which made it literally impossible to talk. I get their a chain that's meant to entertain but I can see why some people may be upset that their waiter seems to be not paying attention to the table as much as getting down on the dance floor. The chicken jack sandwich I ordered was delicious, having tons of left overs for the nights end. All in all it was a good time with some weird moments from the staff. read more

The last time I had visited one of these franchises they had peanut shells all over the floor! While here I thought, "Hmmm, the people of Danbury must be really clean people because nobody is throwing the peanut shells on the floor!" I saved my peanut shells for the garbage and just couldn't pull myself to throw them on the floor although I think that's really the whole point and part of the experience (I think). I have been to Texas Roadhouse restaurants in several different states beside CT. The quality of the food has always been outstanding no matter where the restaurant was located. The same goes for the service. The ambiance is always fun and adds to the experience. Normally I order one of 3 entrees, porterhouse steak, prime rib or Ft Worth ribeye, all cooked rare or med rare and they get this right every time. I have also ordered their ribs which are delicious as well. Love the sides, the blooming onion, shrimp skewers and fried pickles are some favorites. The dinner rolls with the flavored butter are addictive. Definitely a great place for some outstanding food at a reasonable price! Highly recommend! read more

Came here to celebrate my recent engagement with my mom and best friend, my fiancé is in the military. Unfortunately duty called and he couldn't make it. The waitstaff was quick, prominent, very accommodating. And even gave us a free cactus blossom appetizer. It was so very kind of them! Every half hour or so it seems the waitstaff does a synchronized dance. It is very uplifting and fun! Such a classic song too. I have been to Texas Roadhouse in New Haven and the service here in Danbury, CT was beyond exceptional. SARAH was our server. She was fun, enthusiastic, and informative. We signed up for the rewards program and asked questions if it was included in today's meal. Unfortunately it's not, but the manager was happy to waive the appetizer fee for us.
