Ugh I like the way you can eat peanuts and throw them on the floor but then again ew..had chicken fingers and hated them

Tonight we ordered a take out from Texas Roadhouse in Danvers, Ma.and the bill was $72.67. We usually enjoy the food from Texas Roadhouse but tonight I had ordered a Pulled pork sandwich. There were 3-4 bones in it, each of them about an inch in diameter. What is happening to the quality of the food here? Luckily I did not swallow any of them. My boyfriend and I love this place!! We stopped here to eat before going to see a musical performance at my sisters high school. We started out with a few samples of wine because we couldn't decide what we wanted. I ended up with a glass of the Louis M. Martini Cabernet, and he ended up getting the Hurricane Margarita. Both were very good. Our server Sydney was very attentive, friendly, and did a great job explaining the difference between steaks and suggesting sides to pair with them. We started out with an order of the tater skins which if being honest, could have been better. The cheese was kind of hard and the bacon on them wasn't really distributed evenly. Half of the potato skins didn't have much bacon on them but they were still tasty. We then ordered the 20oz bone-in ribeye and the 16oz sirloin both with a side of sweet potato and a Caesar salad. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were both good!! Everything was decently priced and the portions were big. Sydney provided excellent service throughout our meal. Had dinner here tonight for the first time. There was nothing spectacular about this place the best part was the rolls which I could've had as my meal. The pulled pork was big chunks of meat on a roll and they totally skimped on my fries. Service was mediocre at best. It's pretty loud and hard to have a conversation. Peanut shells were everywhere literally everywhere you looked. Won't be back. read more

Love this location! Management is doing a fantastic job at hiring and selecting quality personnel for their team. We go here on occasions, and have never had a bad experience. It's not a hit and miss. The quality of the food is always top notch, and in addition the service we receive from the front desk staff to the waiter/waitresses and everyone in between is just phenomenal. This has become one of our favorite places to eat. The "call ahead seating" makes it so simple even when they are busy. When they seat you they offer to let you choose your steak, most people just pass this by, we learned to choose a thick steak big enough for both of us... What a great piece of meat that is, thick, just, tender, cooked just the way you ask for. We have noticed the wait staff are very friendly and go out of their way to smile and help each other. The back of their shirts say it all. They love where they work. It is an exciting fun place to get real food cooked the way you want it. read more

We sat at the bar and were welcomed by a very nice young man Chris. He was a great bartender and knows the menu and specials very well. He got our drinks quickly and let us relax before ordering. Steaks were cooked perfect, rolls are fantastic and the chili is delish. We go couple of times a year. Came here with my family of 7. Called ahead to reserve & arrived on time. I was informed of a 10 min wait. Waited for 23 min - and watched with surprise then with despair as 1 party of 6 & then another of 7 arriving later was seated ahead of us. I complained. The manager apologized for the delay. Felt like a 2nd class citizen. I will not be back. On a positive note: Decent food & service, friendly wait staff. read more

UPDATE: My family brought my dad here for Father's Day and that experience reduced my 5 star review to a 1 star review. It does not matter how good you are when you're good if you're absolutely terrible when you're bad. We ate at 3pm, between lunch and dinner rush. Still, it took way too long to bring the meals over. When they finally had our meals ready, they said they had accidentally delivered my dad's steak to a different table and were cooking a new steak for him. When they brought back the steak, it was just barely past rare (order was medium-rare), as if they wanted to rush and get a steak on the plate. My father noted that it was undercooked and the waitress, rather than apologizing, seemed to question my father's ability to judge the doneness of his steak. They brought it back to cook it and then a manager brought it out, finally cooked correctly. No apology given for making my father's Father's Day lunch as abysmal an experience as possible. They also brought out incorrect side dishes with two of the other plates. The worst part after all this is that after taking too long, admittedly bringing our food to the wrong table, undercooking my father's steak on a holiday meant for him, and bringing the wrong side dish, NONE OF IT WAS TAKEN OFF THE BILL. I am not one to complain or ask for bargains, ever. I feel rude doing it. But you would think any restaurant would at least take off the steak considering everything that went wrong and the occasion. ------------ Let me preface this review by saying I HATE CHAIN RESTAURANTS and avoid at all costs. Why? Service. Food quality. Atmosphere. These are what makes a restaurant, and chain restaurants usually lack all three. First, if you enter a place called "Texas Roadhouse," you are choosing a type of atmosphere that I feel I don't need to explain. It's either for you or it isn't. You're not going to impress or woe a woman by bringing her to a roadhouse. But each location I've been to, service has been top-notch. They are happy that you're there and honestly want you to enjoy the experience. At this particular location, our appetizer came out apparently too late. I hadn't noticed it being long at all compared to most restaurants (and I usually go to quality restaurants), but the server apologized for the length of time and said it would be taken off the bill. He could have put it on our table and charged us, and I would've thought nothing of it. He mentioned they were supposed to come out in under 8 minutes, and it took something like 12-13, so it was free. The entrees came out in an appropriate amount of time after we finished our appetizer. I have always, and will always, order the ribs here. They aren't lying when they say they fall off the bone. You can eat these with a fork and knife. If you've ever made a good pulled pork, pulling these ribs off the bone is as easy as separating a good pulled pork. Amazingly tender and delicious. I don't know how long it would take me to cook ribs like that. I am snobbishly proud of my steak-cooking ability and never order it at restaurants, but they blow me away here. Everything, even down to the time it takes for them to bring back a new drink, was prompt and just as you would want. I am sure there are "better" restaurants that may deserve a higher rating than this, but for the price range and dining style, Texas Roadhouse delivers everything you could ask for. Will always go back if my party is looking for this type of restaurant. One note; they do have call-ahead seating, but make sure you plan ahead, the wait was 1 hour when I called on a Friday night. read more

I have always liked the food at any Texas Roadhouse. The service here is lacking. The hostesses were more worried about closing the restaurant early than paying me any attention. It was 7 or 8 minutes after I walked in the door before i was even recognized, and two ladies who came in after me were seated ahead of me. Another guy who walked in behind me was recognized ahead of me but he graciously pointed to me and said I was ahead of him. The young lady said "Oh ok". I told her I had been waiting almost 10 mins. She said she was sorry in an annoyed kind of way. The waitress was a little better, but not much. She seemed preoccupied with something else. The food was ok. This is our new go to steakhouse! Just remember to order your filet mignon tall cut (some filet cuts are flat). I think medium rare is the best steak doneness. Great service and the atmosphere isn't too hillbilly or too hoity-tooth. Ask for a window booth for a quieter experience. read more

Worst steak ever! After a very busy day, we decided to stop at Texas Roadhouse. Initially figured I would get a burger, but thought a Strip steak would be a good change. The waitress indicated something about an extreme amount of fat on the 8 oz. and recommended the 12 oz. Should have been a tip-off right there that this was an upsell as usually the problem with strip steaks is that they are too lean. So I decided on the 10 oz. Ft. Worth Ribeye, which the waitress said would be no problem with fat ?? This was by far the worst steak I have ever had. I could only eat about a quarter of it as it was mostly threaded with fat and gristle. So I may go back, but will never order a steak at this place. read more

She came back and checked on us couple of times and made sure out drinks were filled. The only complaint is the bread. The rolls from the first basket were small and slightly burnt. Service at front of house is pretty poor... we're called to sit and then told to wait while table was bussed...after 10 minutes were brought to table which was still filthy...drinks were marginal and food was average at best... ordered killer ribs app and they were that...DEAD... as tough as leather! Long wait times on weekends, no reservations for small parties. Floor is filthy as they allow people to toss peanut shells everywhere. Sirloin steak was just ok. Cinnamon butter for the rolls was the best part. Drinks were lacking in quality and the bartender was a bit rude and seemed uninterested in her job. Love the bread and cinnamon butter, and the Rattlesnake bites are a spicy favorite app. The atmosphere is loud, casual, and fun, but some of the food just falls short in my opinion. The filet, while tender and tasty is often quite stringy, which grosses me out, and for around $18, I expect better quality. The green beans are canned and submerged in liquid but are somehow strangely comforting, until they eventually gross me out. "Loaded" fries are a rip off because the cheese doesnt really stick to the fries and your are left with a load of unmelted cheese and naked french fries. I was in the mood for a side of mac' n cheese, until I found out that they only serve Kraft... weak. read more

Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Called to order and was left on hold for over five minutes. Went to pick up the takeout and saw my food was bagged and ready to go. I told the girl at the counter I was picking up, and she asked me to hold on while she got someone else. I probably waited for 15 minutes, watching my food go cold, while six other girls stood around and gabbed. Finally the other girl came out, swiped my card, and that was it. Im not sure why no one else in that restaurant was qualified to do that. I would be understanding if this was the first time this happened, or if it was a particularly busy night, but that was not the case. read more

A frat party gone terribly wrong, Times Square on New Year's Eve, Boylston Street during a championship parade...that's what this place is like every night! If you're looking for a romantic evening, a quiet corner table, smooth jazz flowing over the dining room...this isn't the place. It's LOUD!!! And messy. And chaotic. There's no middle ground. You either love it or hate it. So know what to expect when you come and don't complain about the atmosphere. If you can deal with the ambiance, the food is good, not great. The complimentary rolls are better than Bertucci's and most entrees come with two sides. A really good value. And a decent assortment of steaks and chicken dishes. I've found the service to be up and down. Most of the servers appear to be college kids and some, it seems, are working for the first time as wait persons. They are cheerful and friendly, and they do have to stop to sing and dance every now and then. People with peanut allergies shouldn't even enter the parking lot. Nuts and shells are all over the floor. Older people should definitely turn down their hearing aids. This is a great place for kids, groups and couples that don't want a quiet dinner. We have been to this place 3 times with a variety of experiences. For dinner it is loud, dirty, with ok service, indifferent management and incompetent cooks. For lunch, it is clean, quiet, efficient and very acceptable food. After our last visit, though, we won't be back. To be brief, aside from the dirty surroundings and frenetic atmosphere, the food was almost inedible. In fact, two of the six of us had to send the steaks back because they were so overcooked. The steaks were ordered medium-rare, and came out well done. We then waited 25 minutes for the replacement steaks. So, what would most restaurants do during this time? Apologize? Prioritize? Make some sort of accommodation? Anything? The Texas Roadhouse did NONE of those things. We finally all had finished dinner, and the manager finally came over to apologize. We were astounded! We said so to him, and he said,"well, what do you want me to do? We replaced the steaks for you!". We walked away! Perhaps he overheard us talking about Yelping about our experience, because he came over again-with a new check, in which he had removed the overdone steaks. Unbelievable!!! read more

Everyone's real friendly our waiter was great I think his name was Andrew wicked nice kid real polite asking us if we needed anything and if our food was ok.
