Despite the huge crowd, was seated quickly, and the crew worked hard to clear tables and get hungry people in seats. Parking was tight but opened up a little farther away from the hub of restaurants. Great Texas greeting from Hostess, and our Waitress Taylor was awesome. Checked on us regularly to ensure all was good. Started with cheese fries, which would be any cheese lovers dish, lots of cheese, and bacon on top of hot fries. I did Chicken & Ribeye, chicken was good, steak was a little mushy. My wife enjoyed her steak. Overall, great Texas Roadhouse Vibe, even saw a dance. Will be back when visiting Gilbert. read more

My family and friends and I have been going to this place since it first opened its doors. Now, however, I will not go back. Recently my friend and I went about 3:30 p.m. We were seated at a very small table. Our waiter came by four times - once to take our order, once to see if we wanted two checks, once to take payment, and once to bring the change he owed my friend because of his error. He took our order. Another person brought our food. My prime rib was horrible! About 75% of it was fat! We paid. I gave him money and she used the little machine. When he came back, he said she needed to hit enter. He did and ended up charging both our meals to her card. He realized his error and instead of deleting the transaction, he gave her the money I paid for my meal, less the very small tip I had given him. He did not print out a new receipt for her and she had no way of knowing if he put a tip in for himself or not. I do not like this type of business and will no longer recommend or go to Texas Roadhouse. read more

Horrible food ! We used to rely on The Roadhouse having good food but not anyone! The Chicken fried sirloin was over cooked and very dry had to send it back ! This isn't the first time it's been overcooked but I thought I'd try it one more time! They gave me a second option so I ordered catfish ! It looked like chicken tenders instead of fish fillets! Tania is the best. We usually frequent the Stapley location when we are in town but my family & were in Chandler a few weeks ago & stopped at this location for the first time. We got seated fairly quickly in a booth. We got assigned Tania as our server & she was the absolute best server we have had in any restaurant for a while. She was very friendly & attentive to my wife, my 3 kids & I. She was so sweet with my 3 young kids. It was my 7 year olds birthday a couple days before we came in & Tania gave her the full birthday treatment & included our other kids as well. Truly disappointed! Stopped in to celebrate my daughters birthday and graduation. The service was terrible and so was the food. However, I don't complain in restaurants so we all endured it. Fried pickles were ordered for the table. My mom and I ordered catfish, loaded mashed potatoes and salad. My husband ordered catfish, corn and salad. My dad ordered a side of mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered sirloin, fries and a caesar salad. My sister ordered catfish, side of ribs, salad and a sweet potato. The only thing that was good was the fried pickles, catfish, steak and bread. However, the catfish was severely small!! The ribs were burnt. Our loaded mashed potatoes came out plain. We were then given COLD butter, cheese and bacon. There was never an ask to take them back and correct them. Just given cold sides to put in cold mashed potatoes. My mom was over it and asked for fries. The fries the waitress brought were old and burnt. Again, my mom was over it and didn't eat them. And we were still charged for loaded mashed potatoes. A good faith gesture would've been to take them off since they were wrong. My daughters fries that came with her meal was just a handful and burnt. She didn't eat them either. The salad had a bunch of water in it where we drained it on a napkin. The waitress barely checked on the table outside of bringing an overwhelming amount of water refills. Not to mention, she brought my dads mashed potatoes out way before everyone else's meal so he was done and just sitting there while we all ate. $150 later for a meal and experience that wasn't worth it! This experience was terrible and I'll never, ever, go back to this location. So embarrassing when you have a group of people you've invited out to dine and the food and service is terrible. read more

My husband was 10 minutes ahead of me, we decided on coming to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. He got a table and the server and manager pressured him while waiting for me. He ordered himself a beer while waiting, why are they pressuring customers who just got here? First steak came out medium well I ordered it medium rare. The bartender immediately took it back. The manager brought me out another steak in 3 to 4 minutes but it wasn't a ribeye. It was a sirloin. I showed the bartender he agreed with me and they made me another ribeye and he told me that he was sorry and don't worry about it that they would take care of the Bill. they finally brought me another steak this time it was rare but I didn't say anything. When I asked for my bill, the manager came out of the back and handed it to the bartender and it was full price. Then I asked the bartender if this was right, he said no he contacted a manager and they came up to me with a wrinkled up Bill and handed to the bartender. This was my first visit to a Texas Roadhouse so I had no expectations. I arrived about 3pm and it was packed with many waiting to be seated. I thought this was good sign. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Rather than wait for a table, I decided to do bar seating. Good choice as there were NO children! Wish the seating was more comfortable. First of all, much too noisy and manic for me although I can see why others would thrive in the active atmosphere. Secondly, the only portion of the food I ordered that was good was the house salad. The 1/2 rack of ribs was very dry and tough to chew. I only ate one. The loaded baked potato was so salty, I could barely choke down 1/4 of it. The rolls and honey butter were very good! The manager offered to get me something else but I was already at the end of my tolerance level for noise so I declined. We came on Veterans Day, it was busy but we got in fast and were served quickly too. Our server was super sweet, attentive and efficient. To top things off, I ran into a good friend and as I'm walking out of the building I see this.. her mom had an issue with her tire on the way to dinner and the staff sent a bunch of guys outside to change her tire for her. Nice Roadhouse! Our server, Cadence, was excellent. Super kind and accommodating. I really couldn't say enough good things about her. The restaurant was clean and tidy- no more peanuts on the floor! My steak, the fort worth ribeye was cooked to perfection. My husband really enjoyed his burger. I got double salad for my side- they gave me two bowls of salad. Little awkward but nothing world ending. Salad was crisp, fresh and had lots of toppings. Definitely an A+ The rolls were amazing as always. Can't go wrong there. We did have some weird $1.99 charge for the kisok thing they put on your table. We didn't use it, so not sure why that popped up. When we brought it to our servers attention, she was quick to find a solution which involved a manager coming over. Steak at medium well was charred more than necessary, Green beans were in a small bowl with this oily brine and the green beans were not fresh they came out of a can and warmed up in this salty beef broth as well as the smashed potatoes, no thought put into cooking and smashing potatoes, just salt plenty of it cheese and cream thrown on top , food was not thoughtfully prepared and the plate is small with sides on smaller bowls , plate should be bigger and not so crowded with food and the mushrooms and onions topping the steaks were overcooked, in general a very charred salty and over seasoned meal , the place is dark and waiters service was average , we just went because had a gift card and paid the difference but won't go again , this is how steakhouses go down and loose guests . read more

I placed an online order Dec 31st at 610 pm. Pick up time 645. OK so I get there a little early, so I check in, I get a text saying wait in your car we will txt you when your order is ready. So I sit there and wait finally 705 rolls around and I get out of the car to check my order. The gentleman says "we are very busy so we are not sending txt to say your order is ready". OK. So he says here is your order, 1 steak, 2 orders of shrimp, 2 salad, 2 mashed potato. So I say I am supposed to have 2 steaks, so he went and found a steak somewhere. So it's now 710, but I have my food all is well. So I get home, the food is ice cold and guess what, no mashed potatoes. 5/30/22. I haven't dined here in years but after watching a movie at Harkin's across the street, it was convenient. With lowered expectations, I hesitantly ordered the grilled chicken salad with blue cheese dressing but was pleasantly surprised! The chicken was fresh and presented in thick slices. Not "spongy like" chicken I've had at other restaurants of the same category. The lettuce looked like it was just out of bag bulk salad. Not even any fresh greens mixed in but the fresh jack cheese, bacon and sliced boiled egg improved this entree greatly. Our server, Amanda was outstanding though. She was attentive, friendly, humorous and had a good attitude. I relayed this to the manager who had stopped at our table to ask how our experience was. Went here tonight for dinner and what a mistake! We used to go to Texas Roadhouse all the time and it used to be great. We haven't been in about 5 years now and I will never go back again. To start off we got the pick 3 appetizer. The fried pickles and buffalo bites were good but the potato skins were terrible. How can you mess up potato skins? They were greasy and looked like a hot mess. Wish I would have taken a picture. So my son orders the filet and ribs and his was great and cooked perfect. My wife and I each got the prime rib 16oz. Perfectly cooked however very hard to cut through. Thought I had a bad knife?? Nope, finally cut through and eat a piece and totally chewy. Worst prime rib I have had in a long time. My wife's same thing. I got a loaded backed potato which was also terrible. Now I know why the skins were bad. Quality has definitely gone downhill at this chain. The only redeeming part of the experience was our waitress Katie. She was great! Won't be back though. read more

I had the pleasure to have the server Sue she was very sweet lady, very attentive made sure to constantly stock the table with bread and butter, made sure I was okay. I come to this location pretty often and I have to say I've gotten the best serve during their early dine in time. For food I got the sirloin steak, mac n cheese, and loaded mash potatoes. The food came out hot and was delicious. In total I spent $20.50, it was worth it for the price and satisfaction. I was full the rest of the day, and had left overs. The experience at Texas Roadhouse this time around was a 5/5! I rarely leave a review for major chains but decided this was terrific so...voila'! I try to eat locally owned restaurants the majority of the time. Quick decision on Thursday night to get a casual meal and catch the first half of the game. Go Suns! We waited 20 minutes and were seated in the bar area. A basket of warm bread goodness served with just the right amount cinnamon butter accompanied us and we were doin greater by Chazz, also working a pretty bar area ramping up for the game. He never missed a beat. Great food, fried pickles offered with the beverage order so I did. If they don't, I won't order an appetizer. Great start. Food was delicious. He ordered a steak with side salad and baked potato. I had the pulled pork Sammie. Yum. No booze tonight but I'm sure this guy could rock some cocktails too. Please ask for his area in the bar. Cactus Blossom- Seasoned flower on the onion tasted different with Cajun sauce and of course with a light base of oil at the bottom of the bowl. Bone-in Ribeye with loaded baked potato- Ribeye cooked med. rare with a little sea salt. I asked if I could chose my steak since they are on view. They said yes. I haven't done that before with as many times as I have been there, so I was super excited. I chose the third from the bottom bone in Ribeye cooked to the perfection. Loaded baked potato with bacon bits, butter, sour cream and cheese. Steak medallions- take a Sirloin cut it in 3 pieces to make medallions, but little less than the regular sirloin? The bad reviews about the service are on point. This is one of the stingiest Texas Roadhouse we have been to. Everyone loves Texas Roadhouse rolls... they have it on their app that you can only have a normal amount to go and when we called they said we can ask for more at the window and they'll give us more. The 2 times we asked, the girl that's there always has an attitude like if the rolls are being taken out of her paycheck. Why tell us we can order extra at the window if you're going to be rude?? Getting more butter for the extra rolls after they put a little bit in their little containers is like I asked her to churn it herself... the faces she makes just makes me wonder if she hates it there that much and if this restaurant is the only one that will take her because her customer service is so bad. I recommend going to the Tempe location, even though the wait can be a little long when you order to go, their service is always awesome and they let you order extra rolls to go without having to ask when you pick up. The food is delicious. The rolls are to die for. Unfortunately, it seems the waitresses actually want to kill you for asking for more rolls. Texas Roadhouse is supposed to have unlimited rolls. I do not go there often, as I am not a rich person. So when I do go there, I definitely eat rolls, as I love their rolls. We are a table of three. We normally get 5 baskets of bread when we go. There is usually 4 rolls in each basket. First time our waitress said to us "there is a 12 roll limit, and this table already had 16! If you want more, you will be charged for it!" Shocked as this has never happened before, everyone says the rolls are unlimited, they have been unlimited in the past, I declined. I expressed my disappointment to the manager, who gave me some rolls to go. She seemed a bit confused. The waitress brought the rolls out in the box, rudely handed it to us and said "The manager managed to get you more rolls, but it's corporate policy!" The actual owner of the restaurant messaged me informed me it is not corporate policy, and that rolls are unlimited. This didn't exactly help me much. Month later I decided to give Texas Roadhouse another chance. Things seemed to be going good, but then, IT HAPPENED!!!! I did a serious crime. I didn't steal. I didn't break anything. I didn't call anyone names. I.......I.......I asked for more rolls! The response from the waitress was crazy! The look of anger upon her face was so strong, you would think I had robbed her house. She shook her head, and then walked off. I couldn't believe it. She then returned with the bread, and threw the basket on the table. I mean, if serving bread is such a disservice to the waitresses there, and they find it so difficult to do, perhaps Texas Roadhouse should just not have the bread anymore. Food is ok for a large chain steak house, but that's to be expected. The thing this review will focus on is pickup orders and the way they make you pick the food up. It's over 100 degrees outside and they make you stand outside to pickup your food at these windows that say "closed" when they're shut. I went inside to pickup my order and they flat out refused to allow me to pick it up. If they were busy I'd understand, but there was no one in the waiting area. In the time it took them to continue to refuse to serve me my pickup order, it would have been quicker to have just given me my food. It was already paid for. They simply just needed to go over the order with my to ensure it's all there, then hand me the bag. Not the worst thing in the world, but none the less there needs to be a better pickup method than making customers that spent almost $200 bucks wait in the sweltering sun for the food. read more
