My wife and I had dinner at this location restaurant. We had a server named Hannah and she was fantastic. She made sure we were taking care of. My wife had a grill shrimp dinner and I had the ribeye steak and shrimp and both dinners were delicious and steak cooked to perfection medium rare. I read some bad reviews on this location on service and their foods and was a little skeptical about coming here. I glad we came and enjoyed the service and food. Went for my birthday last night with my boyfriend and his daughter. We finally sat down, it was packed in there but we used waitlist on Google and only had to wait a few minutes. I ordered a cocktail with an extra floater shot and fried pickles right away, the drink came fairly quickly and I gave my boyfriend the shot that comes in a little tube since he hadn't ordered a drink yet and loves tequila. Our server comes back over and I order just 2 regular shots of reposado tequila for my bf and I, it's my birthday and his daughter was being a little difficult so we wanted to take the edge off. A few mins later our waitress came back again and told me they have a 2.5 drink MAXIMUM and the bartender said I could not have the shots. I was confused... I've been to other locations and this has never happened to me and I had only ordered one drink with a floater. I'm assuming she thought they were all for me, but didn't ask and I'm wondering if this is where the miscommunication came in. She returned and I explained I just wanted a regular shot in a glass and that my bf had the floater from My drink. she said 'I didn't see anything', and brought them to us??? Why tell me I can't have them and then bring them... now I'm afraid to order any more drinks while I'm there... on my birthday. By this time the wrong appetizer came to our table but we also had ordered our entrees and salads. Our salads came first, and we had to remind our server about the fried pickles we ordered for our appetizer, far before we ordered our salads... Your mushrooms are super salty and I ordered them on the side, but when our food came my steak was smothered with them. I scraped them off and we just ate the rest of our meal, not ones to say anything, it was busy and the food also took a long time. I begrudgingly ordered a corona after my boyfriend had with no problem. I asked her if it was OK since there was a 'drink maximum', and was brought it with no hesitation, thankfully. I just wanted to enjoy some super salty food and a few drinks to celebrate my birthday, but the experience was tainted by this point. My wife and I always enjoy takeout at the S Gilbert Rd. location. The food is tasty and consistent. We usually order the sirloin and a sweet potato and have never been disappointed. While we prefer local mom and pop locations, it can be difficult to find an affordable reliable steak. TXRH delivers. We choose takeout over dining-in because it can be difficult to park and the wait can be lengthy (25-40 minutes) on weekends. However, that is a testament to the popularity and quality. When we've eaten in, our experience is not what we prefer. It can be loud, cramped, and service is lackluster. However the takeout window executes the transaction flawlessly and the order is complete and what we hope for. read more

Every time I go to Texas Roadhouse, I order the same thing 8 ounce medium sirloin mashed potatoes and gravy with an extra white gravy and green beans. I told my waiter that I had been having trouble with them bringing my food to me all together and hot so please make sure when they bring it that my food my mashed potatoes my gravy everything is hot. I don't think that's too much to ask! Today like always the mashed potatoes and the gravy was not hot. Every time I order, I tell the waiter make sure they bring it to me hot and every single time it's not. Today a manager came by and asked me how it was. I told her I had to send the gravy back. (In reality, the only thing that was hot was the green beans and I could've sent it all back, but I only thought if I had some hot gravy, I can dip it in the gravy and get by )She said she would check on it and get back to me and I never saw her again. I waited over 10 minutes, nobody came to my table and now all my food is cold so I got up and left. I'm not gonna put up with this kind of service anymore. So we went for dinner here last night for our nephews 16th birthday. It's been a while since I came here and now I remember why. First, let me start off with the good. I love the lively atmosphere, the peanuts and most importantly their hot fresh bread with their honey cinnamon butter is addictive and tasty. That being said their steaks are not my favorite, they come out with grill marks (look at my pic from this view it looks amazing) which gets you excited that the flavor will be amazing but the steaks don't taste so great but from the top view the steaks look grayish the steaks don't have a great sear on fat. Also, the cooking is uneven on the steaks half the steak was a nice pink but the other half was grayish and over cooked. The sweet potato was cooked well but when they brought the cinnamon, butter and sugar they literally sprinkled some cinnamon into the butter which will not add any flavor so I had to ask for extra and the same thing happened again. The worst part was they completely forgot to bring my sons steak and the rest of us were almost done eating when the manager came out and said he will go get it and then said they will comp half the steak. Ok, I understand they can't comp all meals when mistakes are made in the cooking but when you completely forget to make a meal and was clearly the restaurants fault and are late to fix the problem that seems like a no brainer. It came with a beverage, a bag of rolls, TWO complete sides with all the fixins, and peanuts if I wanted them. I got a loaded sweet potato and a house salad which was delicious. Large with incredible ranch dressing, tomatoes, egg, carrots and croutons. Even without their generous free complete meal, had I paid for all of this food it would've been under $20! We received a gift card & decided to come in for lunch. We got there right after they opened so there was no wait which was nice. Our server was great, very sweet! The rolls are always perfection. Always. I do ask for plain butter over their cinnamon sugar butter, but everyone else loves the sweet stuff! Their salad is medium at best. It just seems like a bagged salad and a not the greatest ranch. I got the porterhouse (medium rare) and it was delicious! My hubby loved his porterhouse. I went here for my first time and my goodness did I have a great experience. We were quickly seated with delicious bread. I told the server it was my first time and the manager made a point to bring out some samples of the sides so I could get an idea of what to order which helped a lot with their big menu. The consistent and kind service I had thru out the experience was above and beyond. I got to talking with a different manager who checked on us and she gave us Texas Roadhouse peanuts to try for free (which were great). I ordered the sirloin with chili and house salad. Made "reservations" and given a 40-50 min wait time. When we hit 50 min, went in and asked for an update. Told that it should be coming up shortly and we would get a text. Now 70 min waiting, no text. Went back inside for an update, told that they are running behind, but we should be seated within 10 min. Miserable evening. We frequently dine at a couple TR locations. This night was painfully uncomfortable. Seated at section 23 table 1 the air-conditioning and ceiling fan both cranked to the max we froze. Froze to the point the kids were huddled under the table and we all shivered with chills. We asked twice to to turn it off. A lady sitting at the next table went out to the car to get a jacket. To make things worse 2 servers, working hard I am sure, commented on how good the AC felt. One of the rudest hostesses I've ever encountered. Gave our name, told a 20 min wait was before us, and after 45 minutes when I went up to ask how much longer Riley (who I gave our name to in the first place) said we weren't on the list at all. Very hungry toddler in tow, when I said we had been waiting for over 40 minutes Riley said since we aren't on the list anyway we were "free to leave." We went to Texas Roadhouse late on Sunday Evening and they were busy! Everyone was having a good time, I love it when you feel a great atmosphere when you walk into a restaurant. It started at the door, we were greeted by a happy hostess before we even made it through the doors. She was gray with a lot of energy. Our waitress was amazing, she was on top of things. She kept the refills coming and how I've said before, wait staff tend to forget about my wife, she didn't. She was amazing! My wife ordered Smothered Chicken and she loved it. I would like to start off by saying I love Texas Roudhouse and I normally have a good time there. Not the last time I went however. I was treated with attitude and disrespect by not only the staff but also the owner. The food was disappointing as well. The mushrooms and steak was very salty and almost not edible. Luckily for me I like salt I was able to eat it. Also the broccoli and carrots were very disappointing. I don't send food back ever so I delt with it. We were told by staff at the door when we arrived that we could sit at the bar (while we wait for the rest of our party of 10 to arrive for a bday dinner) as long as there were nobody waiting to sit at the bar. There were 6 empty seats when my wife and I sat down. Then we were told by the very rude bar staff we could not sit there after having a few drinks. I had 3 drinks at the bar then when seated at our table, I was told I had to wait before I could order another drink because "it's a family establishment". Which would not have been an issue except they have a full bar and a huge drink menu that offers you another shot to top off your margaritas for $3.00. I guess it's ok to stuff your drink with a shot of patron but not have 4 drinks. Then I was told by the very rude owner that was very combative and wasn't trying to listen to anything I had to say about my experience after our dinner when I talked to her to complain. She then tells me that it's not even a full shot that you get for the $3. Apparently they are advertising selling you a shot for $3 and you're not even getting what you're paying for. I would like to add that our wait staff at our table was excellent and the owner and bar staff should take notes from. Never have I had these issues at any other Texas Roudhouse nor have I ever been treated so poorly. I will never return to this particular location. Texas Roadhouse is a very popular chain restaurant. They OFFER an early dine option...but because they are often very busy, it's NOT a good idea to show up 10-15 minutes before "early dine" ends. Omgosh, did we witness the world's worst "karen" couple abuse the restaurant staff over their personal lack of timeliness. All for a small discount. It's difficult to take these type of people serious...so privileged and willing to blame everyone else, but themselves. Our dining experience was very nice...the food was great and the servers were amazing. The only glitch (hence 4-star) was having to be exposed to these mean, stingy, rednecks.
