Very disappointed with my experience at Texas Roadhouse Goodyear. I ordered the Steakhouse Filet Salad, which cost $20.99, and I received what looked like only about 2 oz of steak. For the price, I expected a reasonable portion of meat, but there was barely any steak in the salad. The quality and portion size definitely did not match the price. I would not order this again and expected much better from Texas Roadhouse.

Last night was the first night we've eaten at Texas Roadhouse in a few years. We used to eat there regularly but in 2021 everything went downhill and we never went back. I'm happy to say that what we used to experience pre-COVID is back. The food was excellent. My wife and I each had a small sirloin. Seriously, who can afford the ribeye these days? They were both tender, cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The kids had burgers and there was a small issue with one of them, menace the four stars, but it was taken care of. Our service was great as well and that was honestly one of the things that kept us away for so long. Almost everything was as it had been and it's great to know they are back to their old standards.

My family and I visited this location on Tuesday, December 30. We originally planned to dine at another restaurant, but it was closed, so we decided to try this one down the street instead. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy, with a quoted wait time of 25-35 minutes. They have outdoor windows where you can add your name to the waitlist and receive a text when your table is ready. We received our text a little over 20 minutes later, but once we went inside, we were asked to wait off to the side with a group of people for an additional five minutes or more before being seated. This was a bit unusual, as most restaurants seat you right away once your table is ready. After being seated, we looked over the menu and noticed the $5 drink specials, so we ordered those first and later placed our food order. Unfortunately, our waiter did not check on us as often as we would have liked. We do understand that the restaurant was extremely busy, but we still expected a little more attentiveness. Our food took a very long time to arrive, and we noticed other tables around us receiving their meals even though they had ordered after we did. We mentioned this to the manager, who explained that they were very busy due to the holiday season. However, our waiter also told us that Tuesdays are usually not this busy, so it seemed they were not well-equipped to handle the unexpected rush. Our aunt ordered the catfish with fries, but she could not really enjoy it because the only hot sauce available was Tabasco, which was disappointing. We ordered the 9-piece grilled shrimp over rice with sides of green beans and corn. We also ordered several appetizers: boneless wings with barbecue sauce on the side, mozzarella sticks, and loaded potato wedges. The fish dinner and the appetizers were just okay, so we were a little disappointed with the overall taste. The grilled shrimp dinner was decent, and our drinks were fine, although our margaritas could have used a little more alcohol. Overall, our experience was just okay. You also do receive complementary warm rolls and cinnamon butter and also have peanuts. You could take home as well available at the table and I hope you can't sign up for their emails to receive special offers..

Got take out tonight from Texas by the house and it did not disappoint. Food was ready when it was supposed to be. Cashier at the to go window was helpful, friendly and quick. My food was great. Portions were just as good if I were to dine in the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The to go window was clean, organized and easy to access.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like to dine in here and now I know the to go option is Just as good! Definitely recommend!

I chose to celebrate my birthday with dinner at Texas Roadhouse but given that the closest one to me is ~always~ busy, we made a further drive to this location. My sister had called ahead so we didn't wait very long between arriving and getting sat. When we were sat, we were given two bread baskets (love that for us!) I had the house margarita with a salt rim and it was tasty and balanced. Sweet but just strong enough. I opted for a sirloin and it was fine (could've been a little softer and was on the drier side). Our server was really really busy but nonetheless she still managed to bring us plenty bread and meet our needs. When my brother in law asked if they could sing to me, she first checked in with me about what I was comfortable with and then she brought folks over. My dessert did come melted but all in all, I still had a good time and I enjoyed my meal. The servers and busboys here are very efficient!

Horrible service!!! The waitress had an terrible rude attitude slaming down cups and plates with me and my young daughters dined in on July 30 2026. i asked to speak to the supervisor she didnt ask what happened she didnt seem to care she had another waiter serve me and he was apologetic stating he they would comp our meal do the bad experience when i decided to leave she the manager said they would not comp our meal and asked me to leave i asked why she got angry and had to have a coworker refrainned her from attacking me this traumatized my daughters left them hungry and sad the other emloyees laughed and made a joke this was the worst experience im waiting to hear back from them about this terrible experience

First off, when we were waiting in line, a server dropped the butter and use her foot to clean it up. Did not grab a towel or anything just tried to smash it into the floor ???The service was terrible, our server acted like she did not want to be there telling her us that she was living the best life ever and rolled her eyes. Not only once but three times did she forget our water. When they brought out our food, I was holding a plate in my hand so she could put the food in front of me and then just walked off, not picking up any of the plates or even the plate in my hand.. I ordered a potato with my steak and it was bigger than my steak. I never got the butter for my xlarge potato ! My husband's ribs were dry, and the sauce was not very good. I feel TR has gone down hill , very disappointed

Giving one star only because the server was nice but they'd get zero stars if it weren't for that. The food was salty and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant had gnats flying everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can see people at other tables swatting them away as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had to cover our drinks to keep them away.

I've never, while going to this location have had a bad experience! As a veteran, I love how they support us as well as other organizations around the community. Now for the food review! This time I did a to go order and the staff was so sweet. It was so hot out and they gave me water without asking. Ordering on the website was easy and my food was top tier. I get the same thing every time, and they nail it every time. They even threw in my bag of peanuts. Parking can sometimes be a hassle but that's the only wait I had to tackle. And thanks to the waiter that recommended the cream gravy for my mashed potatoes. (Cinnamon butter was included)

Dirty container, looks like dirt or mold. With valentines stickers when we ordered on Easter.... So weird

Always have dirty containers and random pieces of food mixed in that isn't what we ordered. This time it was a random piece of broccoli. We ordered on EASTER and they put this sticker on only one fries container and the container was filthy with what looked like dirt.. so weird

There is always a long wait on the weekends, however, you have barrels of peanuts to curb your appetite until you are seated. Once seated, you are brought a bucket of yummy rolls and drink order comes out quick. The steaks are reasonably priced, but lack a little flavor. Would come back. read more

This is always a fun place to be. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the noise level was crazy the last time we visited and we had the hardest time talking to each other while eating. The food is always great-you need to have the rattlesnack bites for sure! read more

Food was great ! Service was awful. ELLY was our server and she greeted us fine at first. We got a side of fries, noticed she didn't give us ketchup so we asked her politely to bring some. ELLY basically walked back-and-forth to serve others. We continued to eat the fries and we were like OK whatever it's busy let it go she must have forgot. When she came back she carried an attitude towards us, she wasn't smiling or was apologetic about the knife on the ground under the table or the fact she forgot something we ordered . She brought our new side walked away didn't ask if we wanted anything else left the trash on the side and walked towards the other table with a smile on her face. I really hate servers that are like this, we were never rude to you and if you thought we were taking long to pick what we wanted to eat. Then you don't have the patience to serve or have the job that you have. Treat everyone the same and keep your attitude at home. read more

I have been on a steak kick lately and Texas road house did a great job at fixing that and more. I love the ambiance of the place and once you are seated the service is pretty fast. We made sure to make reservations for Saturday night because this place gets packed! The food was delicious! The steak was overcooked but the manager fixed that right away with a new steak for my husband and I. We will be coming back for sure! read more

Let's get the negatives out of the way first, it's LOUD! Now, for the positives the rolls are freakin delicious, hot n warm n chewy and oh so good! They brought out three baskets immediately with a sweet honey butter. We devoured'em and didn't have to ask for more they just brought them out, loved it. I ordered fried chicken which was chicken fried steak with a loaded baked potato and Cesar salad. Might I mention great prices for what you get. The chicken was very tasty and everyone who got steak loved it. They had eaten it all before I could ask for a bite, lol. We are definitely going back. Also, great super friendly staff. So if it wasn't for the fact that we are currently in the middle of a pandemic, I probably wouldn't be writing this. I am in town because of a work thing. I don't live in this state. We have visited a few other restaurants in the area and all of them were in compliance with social distancing. Not this place. They sat is in a booth and there were no booths in between us and other diners. They put up a foot and a half of plexiglass between the booths. I was skeptical but the people I was with thought it would be fine. What I didn't realize until I was nearly done with my food was that there was another row of booths on the side of us. The reason I didn't notice was because they hung banners in between and I somehow thought it was a wall until the lady next to us laughed really loudly. I then realized I was sitting 2 feet from them... Gross. We left as soon as possible. I take some of the responsibility as I suppose I could have stayed in the room and ordered Door Dash. The thing is, the management/owners of this establishment obviously care more about money than people. read more

It's a chain restaurant... So really my expectations are very different then with a more local based restaurant. The all-you-can-eat free peanuts is a good idea... Keeps people thirsty and ordering lots of drinks me because of the salt on the peanuts :-) The bread rolls pretty good... The food in general is really basic. It's not outstanding but it's not bad. I ordered the baby back ribs... But my first order of the rims they came out overcooked and one and was actually burnt. So I don't know who was working the pass had lunch... But someone dropped the ball on quality control. The manager was really nice and promptly responded to the issue... She got me a new order of ribs out relatively quickly... And she also took my meal off the check which was nice. This waitstaff stopping in the middle of service and doing the little dances... Is old. It just doesn't do anything for me. And actually is distracting. Because sometimes you don't get things as quickly as you want or the servers are not as attentive because they're busy dancing. So if you're just looking for a decent steakhouse... With free peanuts and bread... This is a place for you. The food is good for this kind of chain restaurant. read more

We go to Texas Roadhouse for most birthdays. My kids always want to go so they can sit on the saddle. LOL The food is usually good and the kids meals are reasonably priced. However, the food wasn't so good this time around. My dad ordered the Country Fried Sirloin. It was anything but a Sirloin! It was so grisly that he couldn't even chew through it. It was like eating leather! The manager came over and replaced it with another one. I can say that the customer service from the manager was ok. She came over again to see how his 2nd steak tasted and it was just as bad as the first one. She gave him an actual sirloin the 3rd time ...which was much better. Oh and the chili...my husband loves their chili because it has pieces of steak instead of hamburger meat. But every time he orders it as a side dish, they forget to bring it out before his meal. He again had to ask the waiter to retrieve his chili. Their excuse last time was that it comes from another window and nobody is there to run it out to the table. That's funny...I thought that was our waiter's job. I don't imagine we will stop going here for special occasions. I hope the food gets better. read more

Curbside order ahead is a joke. They tell you when your order is to be done however when you arrive they are totally disorganized and can't find anyone's meal. Line about 15 deep and no one knows what is going on. I would not recommend their order ahead. They don't know what they are doing. It's only been a year of Covid and they still haven't figured this out. read more

Garrett!!!!!!!!!! When you dine at this location and if you get Garrett.. you will have the best night out EVER! Keep up the outstanding service!!! Also, the food is outstanding! We come to this location a few times a month and never has it been a let down!!! Come with a appetite!!! The bread & butter they serve when you sit down is mouth watering good! Their flavored teas from the bar are delicious (just ask for extra syrup) and the prices are so affordable!!! Absolutely the worst service in history and food was cold. We got there at 3:00p. No excuse for bad service abs cold food as soon as they open. Our server didn't come to our table once after we got out food. I had to get up and find the manager and then all she did was make up excuses and took no responsibility. Then arrogantly said, thank you sir have a good day. She did nothing to remedy the situation. After I told her kindly our problem and said I will not be coming back ever again. And I won't. Shoutout to Gabby and manager Tia for a great customer service experience. Long story short I ordered a medium well steak and it wasn't exactly that when I got my food. It was more like a well done steak, however within minutes Gabby came to check our table and fixed the issue. I worked in restaurants before I know how easy it is to ruin someone's dinner or lunch but its how you take care of it that really makes a difference. read more

Please be advised the call ahead is a farce. The young can't check you in without losing your conf#!!! In 7mos, we have tried this location at least 5 times. Tho ISSUE is getting in the door. The young people taking your call ahead, check in... whatever seem to lose your# or you don't get a text. If you can finally get seated: The food and service are great. We decided to place our order to go today. When I picked the order up, they showed me the items I ordered. I'm assuming so that you can make sure that your order is correct. I did not think to have them open the containers. I usually have a great experience when we dine in, but our to go orders were a 1 star rating. Our Porterhouse T-bone was dry and if you take a look at my kids steak, you can see why they didn't eat it all. It was past well done. You can say it was a bit crispy. Sorry Texas Roadhouse, but after looking at these steaks you might agree with my review. :( read more

This review is about 5 days late. The wife and I went there last Saturday, our first time here. I enjoyed the peanuts as you waited for a table. We were seated fairly fast and our server greated us for drinks. The beer was very cold and in a frosty mug. We ordered the Rib-eye steaks. They came out in a reasonable time, hot and very good flavor. Seasoned great and cooked as we ordered. The sides we good and well portioned. We will be back! read more

My sisters and I went to this location this week and were so impressed with everything. First of all the place is very clean and even though it was super busy we were sat within 5-10 minutes. Our server Vincent was amazing too. He answered all of our questions and even made some drink suggestions for us that turned out to be real tasty. We will be back again and specifically ask for his section next time because he took such good care of us. Overall it was an awesome meal with awesome service! read more

A regular here at the Goodyear location. Sometimes twice a week! But today was horrible. Not sure if our server was new but service was the worst since I started going here. Requested a high chair for my daughter, said she would bring one and never showed up. Got our salad and still no high chair. I had to ask another server and she got us one. Requested refill on ice tea and nothing. Not one refill for me and my wife the whole visit. After receiving our meal not one follow up, had to ask another server if she could get us our check. Hopefully it ain't like this next time I go or probably find another location. Usually great service and food but not today. read more

WOW!!! This place is GREAT!!!! We had the best Prime Rib ever. The cut was thick, and a very generous size, 12oz. Not too fatty but enough to add great flavor. Very tender and melt in your mouth. We asked where they got their beef and were told from (I think), J&S in Colorado. Our server was C.J. and he was superb making sure we had everything we needed. In fact, after we asked about the beef, several of the staff arrived to inform us about the supplier and quality. The manager also arrived to make sure we were satisfied and if we had any additional questions. All in all, one of the best dining experiences we have had. AND, to top it off, the price was far below what we expected, including the drinks. We are definitely going back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal. read more

Texas Roadhouse is is about the same @ wherever location you eat at. Very noisy , good service,adequate food. I had the oven baked half chicken. The breast was dry (typical ), dark meat was moist. Would go back. Good place for a meal. read more

My family always has dinner here very friendly staff, the manager not sure her name but she is a female and is always going around asking her guest's... how is everything! We are glad this location opened up now no more long drives to Peoria, AZ. Food is always hot and delicious bread is amazing. My favorite is the ribeye steak and pork rib combo with a salad. I work at a hotel very close by and I recommend this restaurant to guest's staying at our hotel all the time. I work the front desk and always have guests pleased after they have dinner here! read more

I've been here twice now. First time was great and was really busy but still had great service. This second time the kitchen messed up my order. Didn't freak out because it wasn't our server's fault. The manager came out and apologized for the mishap and said she would check on it. After the rest of the table got their porter house steaks, ribeyes & ribs I was still waiting on my filet. The manager came by again when everyone else was finished and I told them I still hadn't been served my steak. She said she was sorry and she'd take it off the bill and get it out right away. I ate solo but when it was time for the check the manager apologized again and comped the whole meal! I was shocked because I thought it woukd just be the filet combo. We made sure to thank them and tipped the server well because again it was not his fault the kitchen messed up. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience wasn't ruined. Will be back and happy to get another large steak! read more

My first time to TR, it was a bit crowded so we sat at the bar. Not a good beer selection imo, but the Sam Adams went well with my steak. We ordered dinner at the bar and surprisingly the order came out fast. My Steak was cooked perfectly topped with onions and mushrooms, the loaded baked potato was great and the bread is awesome. The paging system was down so the tables were paged overhead and that increased the noise level. Over all the food was excellent and we will return again. read more

I ordered the boneless Buffalo wings mild with ranch dressing,have ordered the same item many times, flavor was off, had to ask twice for ranch, person i was with ordered the 6 oz sirloin,medium,sent back 3 times,first time was raw, 2nd time raw again, 3rd time over cooked and burnt, to top it all off rolls were raw,they did comp the steak,but wont return anytime soon.I know we all have off night, but this was just awful all around. read more

ordered on line it was easy. when i went too pick order up i ask for some extra rolls and the girl was giving me attitude. she did not want to give me any. and with the bad attitude i got from her service work is not for her. you need to screen your employee a little better. i've never had an issue getting extra rolls read more

I'd actually give TR a 3.5 review, since the overall dining experience was positive. The waitress, Jacqueline, was prompt, courteous and solicitous. The ambience for a popular family steakhouse was fine. The dining service was clean. The staff were especially nice. My concern is with a few dishes that we received. This is constructive criticism. I want you to improve some side dishes that otherwise would have been good. The Rattler Bites jalapeno balls had no rattler bite. They were bland. Not the zip you would expect from a jalapeno dish. The side of kernel corn in a bowl was drenched in liquid. A light sprinkling of liquid butter would have sufficed. It wasn't consumed. It was set aside. The baked potato appeared to have been baked on a bed of salt. I usually eat the skin, and it was almost too salty too eat. Back off on the salt. It's way too much. Try peppercorn. The garlic bread was soaked in a too strong garlic liquid. It was way too greasy. I could squeeze grease from it onto the plate. The Tabasco sauce looked a good red color, but was it cut? It didn't have the usual Tabasco Sauce zing. Perhaps it was a bad bottle. I know Tabasco Sauce, from bottle to bottle, can be inconsistent Other than that, the grilled shrimp was tasty, and the steaks and hamburger were good cuts and were done exactly the way we asked. It was, on the whole, a positive experience. read more

During our visit, we learned about the bonus bottle program and received helpful wine recommendations and tasting tips, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a quieter visit, I recommend going during the week when it's less crowded. My only suggestions would be to expand the wine tasting area and improve the parking situation. Otherwise, it's a great place to enjoy a tasting and learn more about wine!

This is the dirtiest place I've ever been too! The dishes were sent back 4 times with dried food on them. The last Time a scrawny little boy came out and said I personally checked them! There was still dried food on them! Then we opened up our silverware and they also had dried food on them. Then our friend ordered a side of chili with his meal and they brought him a Hugh chili bowl! He didn't order that. That scrawny like boy came back and he just acted like he was the boss! He was rude and nasty. Then they brought some of the food out and the waiter practically threw the plate at mama and she grabbed it and burned both of her hands. Are friend came unglued you don't hurt my mama!!! Then the scrawny little boy came and told us to leave! What would you do when someone hurts your mother!! There was no fighting just words. But because we didn't move out fast enough another scrawny blond girl with her hat on sideways is calling the police saying we were fighting with the customers and we were drunk! I don't appreciate that at all!!! Don't ever go to the Texas Road House they don't care that mama was burned they don't know how to treat people! The music was so loud you couldn't even have a conversation and they have nothing but young kids in there so called floor managers that think they are more important then anyone!!! Yes the police did come but nothing was done! So if you want your loved ones hurt or getting sick from the dirty plates and silverware or burned or getting sick with someone else's food on your plates! Don't make the mistake that we did by going into this dirty filthy place!!!!! Don't let them hurt your family! The very sad thing is until the police got there then mama was offered to be taken care of! What kind of business do you run when all you care about is putting a bunch of kids in what they assume is power to act better than anyone else and giving them that power called authority which goes to there heads. When you try to explain the music is so loud you have to practically scream to be heard. Like I said don't take your family and friends into Texas Road House they could burn or hurt someone else then ask you to leave as well!!!! Don't ever set foot in that dump it is a disgrace on how customers are treated!!! I will never go there again!!!! I only hope you read this and don't bring your little ones because they could be burned or get sick from the dirty plates and silverware and dirty steak knives. Another floor manager at the beginning of all this said it was her fault there wasn't enough silverware! Oh come on this is a restaurant how can you not have enough? And she also said that our waiter should have known better and he would be talked too! That's when it got worse he burned his self when he throw mamas plate toward her. Jason was his name and he should be fired before he hurts more people and then kinda laughs and that is when our friend got upset and tried to go after him for hurting his mom and he didn't even care that she was hurt!!!! Tell me would anyone want to bring there mother in some place and see her hurt and her hands burned. They are here on a holiday and they get treated like this!!! Think before you go into the Texas Road House in Goodyear Az. It is dirty and nasty and not fit to go in and eat anything. If nothing else think of your families because they don't care about the people it is the almighty $$$$$$ and nothing more. Think really hard before you go inside because it might happen to your family and friends!!!Maybe you will have dirty dried food on your plates and silverware and you might get sick or burned by a hot plate and they just don't care about the customers it's the power that they think they have and how they respond to the customers by screaming because you can't even hear yourself think. Make sure that Jason isn't your waiter because he will burn you with hot plates and then kinda laugh at you he doesn't deserve a job nor that scrawny little boy who was a floor manager with the power going to his head thinking he has the power! Up until last night (5-23) I would have given the Texas Roadhouse in Goodyear a 5-Star review. We have celebrated birthdays there, and have usually had a wonderful experience - great food and excellent service. Until last night. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:07 p.m. - the two hostesses who seemed bored told me it would be an 1 hour 15 minute to a 1 hour 45 minute wait. I know they get busy on a Saturday night, no problem. I also didn't call in, but I figured ok, we can handle the time thing (I will mention here that I had a 93 year old man with us who was very patient - UNTIL THEY WENT BEYOND THE PROMISED TIME FRAME. Granted they had just re-opened after COVID-19. Granted too, it was Memorial Day weekend, and granted too it was also a night of graduation parties. But there was no excuse not to keep us in the loop. A couple of folks who maybe have been there before us - I'm not sure if they were, complained, and one of the male managers took them in. There was also a lot of walk-ups who came after us who may or may not have call ahead, and they were taken in. I went up twice - the first time was at 6:50. I politely asked the girl taking names how much longer it might be - she got snippy with me and said "you came in at 6:07 and you've been here 43 minutes" and proceed to remind me of the time frame. We stayed patient till 7:50 p.m. then I went back up as we were definitely within the time frame to be seated. Same girl (very unprofessional, never checked with us) promised "it will be just a couple more minutes"). Then at 7:55 p.m. two young women, a girl and her mom who came after us and put their name in were taken in. We waited four more minutes - and left in disgust. They finally paged me three times - at 8:03 p.m. and afterwards - 2 HOURS and at least 15 minutes past the last extended time. I'm sure the steaks or Prime Rib would have been exceptional, but we chose NOT to return, and went on our way to a local diner. I hope the Texas Roadhouse Goodyear management will reach out and will make it right to the three of us who hoped to have had a great meal(I have a birthday in a month and I was looking forward to having it there) The only reason I gave them a 2 was they were quite exceptional and as they say, "legendary" in the past - the service - or lack thereof was quite the opposite last night. read more

Sure! Here's a 3-star review for Texas Roadhouse: --- Texas Roadhouse offers a mixed bag of experiences. The server was friendly and provided great service, which is always appreciated. I also want to highlight their military appreciation - it's a wonderful gesture that deserves recognition. Some of the food was fantastic, especially the country fried steak, which was cooked to perfection. However, the sirloin steak left much to be desired - it was dry and lacked flavor. One major downside was the volume of the music. While I enjoy music, and sometimes even loud music, it was so loud that I had to shout to be heard by the people across the table. We asked for it to be turned down, and while they did lower the volume, it was only for a few minutes. Overall, Texas Roadhouse has its pros and cons. With a few tweaks, it could be a more enjoyable experience. read more

I frequent this establishment 2 to 3 times per week. What brings me back time and time again is the awesome staff at the bar. They truly engage everyone sitting at the bar and accommodate their guests in every way possible. This brings me to the next point...... when a kitchen manager comes from the back and enters the bar with the sole purpose of pointing fingers and causing a scene with the 2 bartenders serving , I am beside myself. This was the worst display of professionalism that I have seen in a long time. I am a business owner and I would never cause a scene in front of customers!! This manager was very unprofessional. I got a friend who's son worked at this shitty place. Mind you the boy was autistic and they hid him in the back for 3 years. He kept asking for more responsibility in his job and was discriminated against. So when this virus hit he was told that he was gonna be laid off and that he would be able to apply for unemployment. So when he tried to apply he was told that this sorry ass place told the unemployment office that he quit so he wasnt eligible for unemployment cause he quit when he didnt. FUCK YOU TEXAS SHITHOUSE. First of all there is discrimination in this Texas Roadhouse. I asked to be seated somewhere else because where they first wanted to seat me was overcrowded already and they told me i would have to wait 15 minutes for another waitress to arrive , then two people walk in and get seated by where i wanted to be sat. Great steaks. We ordered To Go and unfortunately got a call right as I was getting home that we were given the wrong order. It happens but what surprised me was the service afterward. The Manager who called took down our address and had another Assistant Manager bring us the right order and a $30 coupon for our next visit. We also got to keep the wrong food. I recently visited Texas Roadhouse and overall I had a pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was great. The menu had plenty of options to choose from and the prices were reasonable. However, I was disappointed with the prime rib I ordered. It was a bit dry and not as flavorful as I had hoped. This has to be my hands down favorite restaurant. People can enjoy the free peanuts and throw them to the ground. And yet the service is still high quality. I finally decided to try this restaurant after going back and forth with the other negative reviews that are out there but sadly, my negative experience was also similar to the others. I walked into the restaurant and immediately noticed that it was dirty and very dusty, however, some of the best food I have had in the past has been in places where some dust lives. I overlooked that part of it since the food smelled sooo good as soon as I walked in and I wasn't planning on dining in anyways. A few of the reviews talked about the rude staff, I didn't have that experience. Were they bubbly? No. Rude? Also no. The service was the only part of this experience that wasn't negative. I spent over $50 on the food which turned out to be mostly INEDIBLE. I cannot remember another time where I have had to throw out this much food. I ordered the sampler platter, fried shrimp with fries and collard greens. First to note was that the food smelled so good all the way home and I couldn't wait to dive in. I started with the shrimp. The shrimp had been cooked more than once and these were not only hard but also chalky, these shrimp were overcooked to the point of cremation. I thought maybe it was just the one shrimp that I had so I tried another one but unfortunately, they were the same and you could tell just by touching them. The french fries were also overcooked and tasted like they had been fried more than once maybe a day or two prior and then fried again, and also were very overcooked. The collard greens were cooked well but all I could taste was SALT. I love salty food and I tend to put salt on everything so the fact that I'm saying that it was inedible due to the amount of salt should tell you how over-salted this food was. The sampler platter had rib tips, wings, one sausage, and french fries. The rib tips were prepared with way too much liquid smoke, which overpowered all of the meat. Which makes me think, why would a BBQ spot be using liquid smoke unless they aren't truly smoking the meat? The rib tips were also very overcooked, hard, and dry. One of the wings was edible and did have good flavor, however, the rest of them were also extremely overcooked and dried out. The sausage had way too much spice (pepper) but not enough flavor, also had a huge issue with way too much salt. I'm not really sure how you can over salt something, but not necessarily give it enough flavor. In total, I was only able to eat half of one of the shrimp as the rest I had to spit out. And was only able to eat two of the rib tips because the rest tasted like nothing but liquid smoke and were extremely dry, overcooked and too tough to eat. I only had one bite of the collard greens to know that I could not eat them also due to the amount of salt. I was very hopeful that this would've been a good place especially so close to home. I have had amazing barbecue in the past and I've also had really delicious food from people that are from Chicago, so I feel like this was even more of a letdown than usual. Again, my biggest issue was that this food was inedible and unfortunately, I had already wasted $50 on the food. I was tempted to call the restaurant and talk to a manager or the owner however, I had seen all of the other reviews of rudeness and negativity when people brought food issues to the attention of the staff. I also have zero interest in going back had I been offered replacement food. So I will chalk this loss up to just an overall horrible experience. I hope that this was just a bad day for them but the mistakes that were made along with the other negative reviews, tell me that is likely not the case.
