Texas Roadhouse always delivers well. Food tastes fresh. Steak was seasoned well. Drink came quickly when we needed refills. It is always a fun time to watch people on the bull too. Good side options and good steak. Priced fairly too

So I wasn't going to write a review. But have you ever been to a place and the experience was so bad you just had to review? Or the opposite where something was so exemplary that you had to review it too? Have you ever met someone that was so good at her job, you could tell she really enjoyed it, someone happy to be there and just made your day because of it? Well this was our server at TRH. Her name is Ashley (Venti) and she was amazing, so good at her job, so friendly, but not overbearing, happy to be there, helpful, kept all our drinks full, offered good opinions, told us fun stories about TRH. And even brought us peanuts. An absolute 5/5 for her service maybe even a 6/5 if that's possible. We ordered the bloomen onion for an appetizer. It was good but not as good as the original. 4/5 My son and I had the ribs and they were fall off the bone goodness with great flavor. Mine came with a side salad and seasoned rice. 5/5 My daughter had the sirloin and really enjoyed it, cooked perfectly at medium rare, really good flavor, and a loaded baked potato. 5/5 My wife had the herb encrusted chicken and enjoyed it. 4/5 Go to this location in Layton and ask for Ashley. She's the best. And no I have never met her before this.

I have eaten at different texas roadhouses numerous times. I would say once a month on average BUT the last time (today) was by far the worse customer service, food and experience I ever had. First, food... fries under cooked and very small portion, the ribs I received tasted okay but were 3/4 the size my wife received. You need to work on portion controls!!! The steak came to the table nearly moo'ing at me when I asked for medium rare. It took nearly 10 minutes to get it back. Once back, it was super "stringy"...if you eat steak enough you know what I mean. Customer service, A kid pukes right next to us....like right next us...on the floor. I get the attention of not one but four different employees about it. Some even walk through it...gross by the way. The last one finally gets help (thank you, she was awesome...she actual apologied to us and thanked us for attempting to get someone.) She has to stand over it for a couple of minutes because no one will help her....her the actual employee!!!! During all of this no apologies from management....nothing. Get your act together.

I haven't been to Texas Roadhouse since this day, however, the food and drinks were wonderful as always. We had amazing service and highly recommend this location. Service alone was 5 stars. This restaurant is a great place to take family and friends, noting that options are meat heavy (at least the last time we were there). I recommend getting reservations or on their waitlist for evenings and weekends, as the wait can be long.

Easily the best veggie pizza I have ever had. My husband tried the German special of the night and absolutely loved it (I won't try to spell the name because I'll completely slaughter it, but it was incredible!). ‍ The Service: It was our first time here, and our waitress, Moni, made it unforgettable. She was vibrant, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic about welcoming first-timers. Pro-Tip on Timing: We arrived around 5:00 PM, which was perfect. Seating in the lower restaurant is limited, and by the time we left, there was a long line out the door waiting to get in. Get here early! We left completely full and excited to return. It was packed with flavor! If you like pretzels, make sure to order the pretzel and dips. I liked the cheese base dip while my husband slightly liked the mustard one more. We ordered the Apfelstrudel and would get it again next time. Everything was on point from the texture to the flavor! One appetizer, two drinks, two entrees, and one dessert was a little over $100 pre-tip. It's a little pricey for us, but we don't go out to eat often. I'm really hoping one of these days I can try their brunch!

They have lots of options for seafood lovers and those who love it less. On my latest trip, I got the Prawn Scampi. My husband and I showed up a little before 7:00pm on a Sunday night without reservations. Luckily they weren't too busy, but the hostess was a little cold towards us. After that interaction, my we were worried we chose the wrong place for my husband's birthday dinner. Our waiter, Chris L, completely changed the experience for us. I cannot sing his praises enough! He gave us great recommendations, refilled our drinks before they were gone, and he took care of an issue (even though we didn't think it was an issue). He was very personable and made our dining experience a great experience. As for the food, hold the front door! You want an amazing steak at a decent price? This is the place! My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the flavor was insane! That goes for every single thing we ate, from the bread before we ordered to the sides to our main course. Nothing was less than excellent. We ordered the firecracker chicken wraps to start. The only way I know how to describe them as is they're like a bomb chicken taquito...and that's avocado lime sauce was amazing! Our waiter told us to try the spicy chicken bites next time (we almost ordered those). For the main course, I had the filet and I loved it! My husband had the Outlaw Ribeye and felt the same way. We both ordered a baked potato and mac & cheese for our sides (we were so happy there was the option to substitute the salad). The sides were delicious, especially the mac and cheese! I need that in a gallon container please! Since it was my husband's birthday, I made him get a dessert, and we're both so happy he did. He ordered the chocolate stampede. It was chocolatey, smooth, and paired well with the vanilla bean ice cream. It definitely put us over the edge, but worth it! I can't wait to go back and have another steak diner. It's all I can think about!

When we arrived, we were told there would be a 45-minute wait, which was understandable. Since there was a wait, we asked if we could sit at the bar instead. We could clearly see a few open seats together, but the hostess told us, "There's no room." I pointed out the empty seats, and she replied, "You can sit there, but you might not get service." I then asked if food service was available at the bar, and she said it was -- but that it would still take at least 45 minutes to get food. We sat down briefly, but the bar area was dirty, and honestly, the interaction left us feeling unwelcome. The tone and attitude from the hostess came across as if she really didn't want us eating there at all. So we decided to leave. That was the disappointing part -- because we actually enjoyed the food during our previous visit. Unfortunately, customer service can completely change the experience, and this time it did.

I ordered the Joey Sirloin from the kid's menu which is supposed to be a 5 oz well done sirloin steak. You also get a small beverage of your choice, along with a side, and their complimentary bread. I have ordered this particular entree before with zero problems. That was not the case this last time. The first thing that I noticed was how TINY the sirloin steak was. It was basically a few bites. Pulled out my scale, and low and behold it came in weighing barely 2 oz, not 5 oz as advertised! I took photos for reference. This was a takeout order. I've always appreciated the fact that my meals come in sturdy brown paper bags stapled for freshness and safety. Well....I should have opened the bag right then and there in the store! The side that I requested was the Caesar salad and they had put the hot sirloin on top of it in the bag, so by the time I got home the lettuce was hot and wilting...but that wasn't the worst part. Oh, no. They put their few "good" lettuce leaves on top only for me to find brown, bruised, AND dirty leaves throughout. I am not kidding you, the salad had NOT been washed! I've NEVER encountered that anywhere! Rotten leaves? Yes. Dirty leaves that you could actually see AND taste? No!!! I did attempt to try it until I realized it was all filthy unwashed produce. The "complimentary bread" was not in tinfoil. It was just thrown by itself in the brown paper bag with no whipped butter, no utensils...no nothing. The small beverage had no ice and was also warm. It wasn't even hot out and this was a late evening pick-up. Never, EVER again. I cannot believe their prices here and the garbage that they serve. Guess I should be grateful it was only from the cheaper kid's menu though I actually was going to order A LOT more but something called intuition stopped me. Thank GOD for that.

Recently we had a not so great experience at a chain steak house and this more than made up for it . Worth the drive from Slc for sure . Bobbi was our server and she is the best we've had . Kept up with fresh bread and a carafe of ice tea. She was super personable and fun . The bread to start off was very fresh , soft and with the butter- chefs kiss. 3 of us got Salads and I chose the French onion soup . The broth was delicious and even though it was packed with flavor -surprisingly light. Salads were hearty and veggie forward . 3 of us got steak plates but have to mention how huge the county fried steak was -with an option of country gravy or brown gravy . That definitely will keep you full . The steaks were juicy-cooked, to perfection. My snow crab kept me occupied for most of my meal but I rarely get the option to add crab to a meal so why not. It was absolutely fantastic with the butter . We all left with doggy bags . I also had made a reservation a week before we knew we were going to visit as from photos I was not able to tell how big it was. It actually is quite huge . There are covered wagons that seat up to 10 , a private banquet area and table tops available. The decor is fun and you can actually walk around to see more of it . Since we had a reservation we didn't have to wait but there is a bar in the front incase you wish to grab a quick drink while waiting for your table . If you're a steak lover and have an appetite, definitely add Prairie Schooner to your list . I can definitely see it being a popular spot for Mothers /Fathers day and celebrations . Perhaps even take on their 20 oz Porterhouse and pair it with one of their cast iron desserts to celebrate. Until next time , Thank you for the great dining experience.!
