Horrible! Waited 1hr and a half to eat. They told us it would be only 35-45 wait. When asked when they thought we would be seated they said they had no idea. Got steak which half of "hand cut steak" was fat and gristle. Server was good but just had too many bad experiences at this location. read more

We came in on a normal Sunday night, they weren't busy. The service was extremely slow. We got our first water glass after 20 mins waiting and eating dried peanuts and bread. They forgot my friend's house salad and his t-bone was support to be medium, came out rare-rare (cold red) . My medium rare ribeye turned out medium well (little pink). Side dishes were also wrong. We may got someone else's food instead. To make it worse, both our steaks were really salty. We were hungry enough to try to eat them but had to give up after 2/3 of the portion. read more

By far the BEST Texas Roadhouse, including the ones in Texas. The managers (Jon Brady) are phenomenal, the food is fantastic and the wait staff are some of the best around. Just ate there tonight. Food and service was great. What really impressed me was the adjustments and changes they have made in light of the health crisis right now. They are going above and beyond to provide great food without the risk of illness or contamination. A beautiful 1.5" steak arrives - with burnt lines from the grill and a cold raw center, lets try again.This time they find a 1/2 inch steak, they do cook it on the flat top - till it's well done and the asst. manager [John Brady] cant believe I am disappointed a second time. "I've taken the steak off your bill, Please DONT EVER COME BACK." WOW they cant cook a steak to medium and the solution is to ask the customer to not come back. read more

Place is always packed. Wait time to sit is a hour long. Even if your party is 2. My chicken and ribs were alright. My ribs burnt couldn't taste the meat. Chicken was good no seasoning. The drinks were the best. Salad wasn't completely fresh. My romaine lettuce was a bit wilted. read more

We decided to celebrate Fathers Day a little early and went to Texas Roadhouse last night. Of course it was a good decision and the food was delicious. We got the combo appetizer with fried pickles, rattlesnake bites, and potato skins and they were all so good. My favorite were the rattlesnake bites. Read as 4.5 stars and yes, I know it is a chain. We arrived here on a very snowy evening-it started snowing in the afternoon and some 18" later, it was still snowing. Anyway, we arrived to a plethora of people greeting us and were seated right away along with a basket of rolls. The kind of rolls Kevin loves and the kind that I can luckily take one bite of and have had enough. This is a chain. This is a new location for this chain and it was good. Super good. So good in fact that I will come back to a TR before going to an Outback if available on our travels. Our waitress Tricia, was super sweet and when we advised we were first timers, helped explain the menu to us. I ordered the bone-in ribeye medium rare with a loaded baked potato (sans sour cream) and a Caesar salad to start. The salad was the least impressive part-bland though house made dressing. Since it was our first time, the manager came over with a basket of ribs and steak cut fries. She was adorable and as small worlds would have it happened to be from Dublin. Yep, Dublin, CA and we were in Layton, UT. Small world aside, the ribs were fabulous and they were the fall off the bone kind. I didn't try the fries since I am now on year 3 without them. When my steak arrived, it was perfectly cooked, and delicious. They hand cut the steaks here and though I have eaten at the swankiest of swanky steakhouses, this steak was wicked good. Better than the regular old ribeye my dining companion had. To top it off, the price was reasonable for such a great steak considering it also came with 2 sides. He personally came out and told us he would custom make us our meals the exact way we needed and he did just that. Not only was he so helpful and understanding but the food was delicious. I really want to like this location but I am repeatedly let down. Texas Roadhouse at other locations is awesome, but they can't seem to get it right here. I've given it 3-4 tries since it opened and they repeatedly have the WORST customer service. The hostesses are always unhelpful, and we seem to get servers that are brand new and forget everything or one that is too busy flirting with the table next door to even check up on us. I will not be going to this location again, it's worth driving to bountiful or Ogden for a better location. If you don't mind bad service, this is your place. read more

Mediocre. I've tried several different things on their menu. I've only had one decent experience - I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak, med-rare and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly! That was about a year ago. The next time I ordered it, I was so excited because of the last experience; it turned out to be over cooked and tasted like rubber. So the next time I tried the country fried steak which was huge but half of it was just batter, not meat. It was ok. Then I tried the cheeseburger thinking that would be difficult to screw up. Somehow they managed it - it was over cooked and dry. There was NO sauce and the lettuce for the toppings was dead and limp. The fries were cold and disgusting. The only good thing (besides the one- time steak) are their appetizers. I'm not a fan of this place - the call ahead seating is stupid and they are stingy with their coupons. I don't think I'm going to venture to try anything else on their menu. read more

So FYI Yelp does not work if you are trying to get on the waiting list! That being said I was a little irritated that we were going to have to wait longer now. We stepped out side and my wife said the Hostess said she won't take that personal, since I did not say anything to the Hostess I apologized to her and that it wasn't her fault. Thinking this was over we finally got our seat and the manager came over immediately and asked if we had words with the hostess and I was saying no she did nothing wrong. So the manager left and I started thinking that maybe she was saying I said inappropriate words to her and that was the case! Now I would never do that to some knowing how hard the work. She is a teenager and I guess there was three others that supposedly heard something I did not say. It kinda ruined the meal. Now the food was good and so was the service but if you going to accuse some of talking to you like that then you better be damn sure that it was what you heard. I've been coming here for a while and for the must part is a good experience. But I've notice that the service has slowly gone down hill. On my last visit i sat down on my table and waited 20 minutes for a waiter to take my order and nothing, nobody came. So i decided to walk away. No-one tried to stop me, nobody ask what happened, nothing. Is safe to say that ill never come back to this location and ill make sure to let all my friends and family know how bad the service was and convince then not to go back to this location. read more

At arrival we were told it would be just a few minutes and so we waited and waited and watched the waiting area empty and new arrivals being setted. It became clear that we had been forgotten. The response from the hostess was "oh" apon asking and we were setted in seconds with no apology or explanation. Ordered the prime rib but sadly minutes later to be told were out. It happens. So ordered the ribeye. Half was cooked well the other half was to rare. Server was ok and food came out quickly. I have eaten here many times on the weekends and had a decent experience. We went today for my sons 4th birthday. We told two different people(including our server) it was his birthday and we wanted him to ride the saddle. No one ever came and did so and the server brought us our check(we had reminded him minutes before receiving the check about the birthday). He also took a long time doing everything and everyone there(5 people) received cold food. I could handle the cold food and slow service but ignoring a four year olds birthday put me over the edge. Avoid the Layton location. Have had three meals at this location and all three meals were unsatisfactory. Steak kabobs cooked over done and meat was mostly gristle. Have had the same meal, multiple times at Ogden bountiful and west Jordan, never had any problems with our meals. read more

Our experience tonight was horrible! We have always had an amazing experience w/ this location but as of the last two times my experience has been the worst I've EVER HAD at any restaraunt in my entire life. Bad service, bad food, no toiletries in the bathroom, walks into restaraunt were icy, & the manager couldn't care less. After it was all said and done we were given our entire meal of 7 people free and I would still never go back. Hopefully they learn from this post, but as far as me and anyone I can tell they will never receive a dime from me again in the future. read more

Madison and Hayden. This was the most poor hostess service I have encountered. I've been going to Texas Roadhouse my whole upbringing and I have never had a bad experience until now. To start, we waited for an hour to be seated. Granted we had a party of 10, we were told that they could not seat us yet. But there were multiple groups that were seated that had the same party size ahead of us. When we finally went up to the counter to check when we could be seated again, the two girls Madison and Hayden were incredibly rude. The hostess blatantly rolled her eyes multiple times in front of us. And then we were finally seated, but our party had to be separated into two tables that were across the room from each other. I would recommend talking to your hostesses since they are the first people we see, to have a better attitude towards paying customers. I understand that nights can be hard, but at the end of the day people come here for the atmosphere and this negative experience could have been avoided if the customer service at the front was different. read more
