Best steak I've ever had, cooked perfect Great service. I would tell everyone they should go for a great meal

I could eat those sweet rolls with the cinnamon butter every day and be content. They're so hot and delicious. The steaks are good and it's nice not have tax. The sides are hit and miss and a bit bland at times. They have great drinks and I usually order the legend. The service is also great: The food doesn't blow me away, but it's great to visit once in a while. read more

It was Saturday, so don't go in during the weekends, military payday and holidays,even if you have to get on their online wait list. Our wait time was 1hr and 49 minutes. We texted that we arrived there,10 min before the wait time was up, we still waited close to 45 min. It was almost 630 before we got seated and ordered, but waited for our Drinks longer than usual for our mixed drinks were served. We ordered out meal. They gave us bread when we were seated, but waited long to get our second batch by the way we were only three adults. Before our meal was brought they notified our waiter that they were out of mash potatoes, then when the food came out, the baked potatoes ordered ran out, but they did not tell us. Yes, the restaurant was busy but the kitchen manager should know that from other busy weekends, they have just run to the commissary to get it. If Texas Road house is contracted with the military they should get their ingredients at the commissary if they run out. Texas Road house food,for me, is really salty. It might be a while before we go back. Your resturant might need to get another one outside the base to regulate how the many customers come to JBLM or have another one at Mcchord. read more

I made the mistake of going back to Texas Roadhouse. My grandson and I ordered cheeseburgers. My wife a steak and my daughter shrimp skewers. We all said we wanted them well done. The items are brought to the table raw! Even after they butterfly cut the filet mignon. We send all 4 items back to be cooked more. They chose to cook our items longer rather than start over and give us fresh food. They bring it all back after being cooked longer. The 2 cheeseburgers are still raw in the middle. The steak and shrimp were finally well done. Do not go here! read more

Prepare to wait for a significant amount of time unless you're going to the bar. There is no indoor seating at all for the waiting area and my grandmother was very uncomfortable. They have heat lamps for when it's cool outside but I suggest some type of shades to cover the area when it's warm. The sun sets hitting directly on the outside waiting area. The staff was really kind and our food didn't take long to come at all. My grandmothers steak was cooked just slightly above her request but she ate most of it. The blooming onion was so good! Better than that other place I won't mention. My mom's catfish was seasoned and hot. She was so pleased. And I love the critters and house salad. All together, this wasn't a horrible experience. We arrived at 2:50 PM and waited until the restaurant opened at 3:00 PM. We were the third party seated. Our order was a "Cactus Blossom" to start. I had the sirloin steak and ribs combination with a baked sweet potato, and a Caesar salad. My wife had the sirloin steak adding shrimp skewers, a loaded baked potato, and broccoli. Everything was great, except the ribs. They were overcooked and dry. I told the manager and just asked for some BBQ sauce. He returned promptly with warmed BBQ sauce, which helped. He offered to cook another half rack for me, but we were close to being done with our late lunch. This would be a five star review had it not been for the dry ribs, which I would only give two stars. The service was speedy. The staff were all very pleasant. The manager was wearing ah apron when stopped by to check on us. This is a hard working man, not just a figure head. read more

Great Food and service! I want to give 4.5 stars. The only reason it isn't a 5 is they were short a cook and it took a while for the dood to come out. Luckily the rolls came out fast and there are peanuts on the table (now in bags). Once it came the food was terrific. My steak was a perfect tender medium well. Spouses burger same. Kid had the Chicken Critters (batter dipped chicken tenders) and Sweet potato for her side and some veggies. My steak sides were skin on real mashed potatoes and green beans with bacon. YUM! I do love Texas Roadhouse for a steak that has quality and isn't too extremely expensive since this isn't a high end restaurant chain. Their ribeyes are delicious if you get the right cut. Really like their bread and peanuts as well. read more

This place has good food and very good prices, but you need military ID as it)s on the Lewis -Mcchord base. I discovered it when going for physical therapy for my back near the Army Ranger barracks, nice fresh baked breads and much better than any Outback Steakhouse.. read more

Warning: This is located on a military base!! Meaning you can't get passed the armed guards unless you or a friend have a reason to be there. With that said, pretty cool experience. The service was great, the patrons fun, but respectful, and the food tasty. It has that classic texas roadhouse vibe going on. read more

cactus blossom yummy, but I like the sauce from Outback Stealhouse's onion blossom better. not overpowering with the seasoning, which is a very pleasant surprise. macaroni and cheese was plain and not a stand-out like the menu made it sound to be. not worth the $5 for that small, little, tiny, baby bowl! waitress was nice. I thought that the mandatory hourly dance that they do is super duper cute, too. they did mess up my order a few times, so that is why it is not toooo high. I understand that I came in with 4 guests, but too have my order of a cactus blossom with a side of macaroni and cheese mistaken is... hm. just interesting. handled professionally, but again, no check-ups or updates during the quite long waiting process about where our food was at. I love the bright neon lights with the caricatures of Texan celebrities. so much Texan pride that I am glad that those from that state have a spot on base that could remind them of home. maybe having a highlighted line of the step leading up to the elevated tables would be helpful because so many guests tripping on their way up and hitting themselves on the heightened table :/ again, I enjoyed my time here, but some minor inconveniences that could be easily addressed. read more

I would say that the food was delicious especially with a good deal of including two sides. It definitely filled me all the way up until later in the day. The service was amazing with the waiter providing us fast service when we asked for rolls. The environment was pretty loud but a good setting given that it wasn't too busy. read more

Customer Service: The servers were busy with table turnovers, but ours made sure we had everything we needed and checked in regularly. We sat at the bar. DH got a cold beer and I got white wine. Bartender was nice, but lacked a sense of urgency. We ordered a mushroom and cheese chicken sandwich with green beans and a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Apparently they had run out of cheese, but didn't tell me until they brought out my meal giving me no option to change if I wanted. Steak was cooked well. Mashed potatoes were good but the gravy was not good. We know not to get it next time. Even with three star review, it's a national chain restaurant so you know what you're in for. Service at the bar was extremely slow for us. We got seated and it took the staff 20 minutes to give us menus. They never gave us water, until the last 5-10 minutes when I finally asked for it. Food took extremely slow on top of it. I understand it was a busy Saturday night BUT everyone who sat after us got water, got menus right away, got their food before us. A first timer to this restaurant at the base! Parked right in front and got seated promptly at a booth near the entrance. The waitress came by to take our drink orders while we were looking at the menu. After a few minutes, we decided on what to order. When the sever came back, we ordered a Steak and Ribeye Combo with a House Salad and Baked Potato, 1 Fried Catfish with loaded Sweet Potato and a cup of Chili. And then one California Chicken with a Baked Potato and Seasoned Rice (never received, though). Had asked for it twice to the waitress, too. Atmosphere was poppin' inside, pretty boisterous and alive. A couple of Birthday celebrations were happening at some tables nearby. Service was great! The food was okay, it's not Texas so enjoy what you get. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere just like all TR's. I hate that they are not opened on Sundays though. Since only military can go here, I think they should build more all around Washington State so that everyone can enjoy it. read more

Had a chance to visit this restaurant at JBLM (Joint Base Lewis McChord) . It was so exciting because everyone raves about this place. To start they definitely are a very busy place and wait times can be long, however we were able to get seated quicker since we could go into the bar area that was open seating. To start they bring you these delicious rolls with a cinnamon butter that is well.... Amazing!!! The server was helpful and took our orders, the wait time for our food was crazy though. We legit ordered two dinner salads and our friend ordered a rib eye. We watched as tables that arrived after us got there food before us. Our server refilled our drinks twice, before we got our food finally. That is why I'm giving the stars because the food was great but the wait time on food was ridiculous. Lastly our servers shift ended and she just left, not letting us know and the new server came all she did was give us the bill after we had to ask for our server. So will I go out of my way to come here again? Probably not. But if I had to, yes the food will be good but will I be able to eat it if they give me those rolls to fill up on. read more

Love this place and love the vibes there always been great the long waits get old but it's expected at this point so I don't mind we call in advance now. I always tip the servers way more than normal because I've seen so many of my fellow servers members leave a huge mess and leave $0!!!!! As a tip so that unfortunate for them. Been here a few times...and not sure how I feel about it. Every time is a different experience. This time I did an online order for pickup. Ordered the medallions. In the description it said three medallions approximately 3oz a piece. When I got home it was a steak cut into three pieces. Smh. I was hungry and the food was still good, but I still felt a bit cheated. I liked that it came with rice pilaf and two other sides. Butter and sour cream were in portion cups which was nice. Also included a bag with four rolls. My order was also done 10 minutes earlier than my specified pick up time. They did try to call me, but since I was driving there I did not get the call. Ordering online was simple for the most part...and I will probably do it again in the future. Hoping that my next order will be accurate as far as actually getting what I ordered and paid for...and closer to the requested time as well. Really wish they would open earlier too! read more

Came to Texas Roadhouse after a sunny day at JBLM with a friend right as it opened. We got seated immediately after waiting in the line for about 5 minutes. It took a while for service to come through but they were super welcoming and helpful. I ordered the fried catfish because I'm not a big steak person. The catfish was a bit dry and mushy but had a good fry and flavor. The rolls with the butter were standout as usual. We ordered the cactus blossom and I could really eat a whole one by myself. Because service for it was slow, management put it on the house which we greatly appreciated that consideration. Bread was as we expected, salad was fresh, fried pickles were too salty, steak was as expected, but sweet potato was small and lacked that roasted flavor and texture. I've heard a lot about this place for years from friends and family but had never been in myself. My husband and I were shopping the exchange and I essentially made him take me here to see what all the hype was about. He definitely warned me not to get my hopes up, and he was certainly right... When you walk in, it's got a cute little steakhouse vibe. Honestly not much different from any Outback Steakhouse or black angus though. The servers are all super nice, there's no question about that. The food on the other hand was not great. The highlight of the meal was the bread and honey butter. We ordered the steak bites kids meal for my 3 year old and when the server brought it out we were in awe. The meat was burnt beyond recognition. I literally would not have even fed that to my dog. The server recognized how bad it was which made us wonder why she would've even brought it out to begin with. They remade it which was fine but my son was still not a fan. FYI this is located on JBLM! Don't try to go and get stuck at the military entrance without access lol. Service was amazing! We got a reservation ahead of time which saved us from having to wait. My only complaint is the booths are pretty close together and it can get noisy with families - but we may try to sit at the bar next time! Food was very affordable and tasted great! My favorite were the fresh bread rolls, they were so so yummy- soft, warm and seemed to be already covered with a sweet butter, but it does also come with a cinnamon butter spread. You can ask for a refill if you finish the first basket and I ended up pretty full haha. I'll definitely take some more photos next time I come! read more

Texas Roadhouse provided common southern comfort dishes and sides including steaks, pork chops, chicken, and fish dishes. Sides are normal: corn, green beans, fries, side salads, potatoes, etc. the veggies appear to be canned and aren't my cup of tea. I opt for side house salads which come with tomato, egg, and cheese. The homemade ranch is thick, creamy, and delicious. The recent visit I got the 12 piece shrimp meal with rice pilaf and two sides. The rice pilaf is delicious but was a bit salty today. And of course the star of the show was the yeast rolls and cinnamon butter. read more

Dinner tonight for New Years was so so. Upon entering the restaurant, it was filled with groups of people and the hostesses looked our way but with a "oh no more people..hopefully you don't eat here cause we're busy.." kinda look. I think they were probably overwhelmed with the crowd tonight, but thank you for working on New Years Day as a lot of places were closed. Said we wanted to do take out, and the hostess said it's gonna be a bit of a wait to order take out, the kitchen is really backed up. We asked how long and she quoted 15min, we said that's totally fine. We didn't wait long to order and our food came out 25min later. Not bad. Not the best steak in my opinion. The cactus blossom was more like a droopy cactus waiting to blossom because what we had was just sad, cold batter-y slop lol Maybe it would've been better at the table but take out should be somewhat decent..nope. Only thing we would come back for is the ROLLS! They are sweet and absolutely delicious! You can spread on a bit of that sweet sugary cinnamon butter too but just plain is just fine oh yea!
