Everything was well-seasoned and full of flavor! Visited the Hull Street location and LOVED it all. My hubby had a pork chop, salad, and baked potato and they were all wonderful, with NO brown lettuce in the salad. I had the potato skins which were delightful with the perfect amount of cheese and bacon with sour cream on the side. Lane was our server and she was terrific too. I was pleasantly surprised on how good my experience was here the other day. It was super crowded mid day but we got lucky to get a table. The two fresh baskets of rolls being walked to the table with us was amazing. Our waitress Billy was a super star. The prices were really fair compared to our chain steakhouses- meals including 3 steaks for a table of 5 ended up costing $145. The diet cokes and waters were crispy. The rolls were plentiful and Billy came to fill them up and bus our table a bunch. The potato skins were OK but the cactus blossom was better than a bloomin onion. The Caesar salad side in a cold bowl was a magnificent touch. You could tell they really thought through all the details. Steaks were cooked to order and reasonably priced. The rolls are always a must here! Wait time less than 15 minutes: get your name on the list and wait outside until they text you that your table is ready. Grilled shrimp appetizers on a skewer were juicy and good. The rattlesnake bites are cheesy with spices that'll clear your sinuses. The grilled salmon had good flavor, it just felt like it had been sitting for a while... it was warm, like room temperature. Same for the rice. The green beans were nicely seasoned with bacon. I haven't been here in 2 years only because the service was extremely slow and management couldn't hire staff to work. Welp...I'm very happy to say they have hired more staff to serve and my experience was great! I didn't have to go looking for my waitress...she came to check up on us many times and she was very pleasant. The food is alway good at Texas Roadhouse. My favorite is the grilled pork chops. Ate here for lunch with party of 4 at noon. The restaurant is clean. Today it feels a little cold where are seated back I'm the back corner near the restrooms. Our waitress is polite, patient and attentive. The food was brought pretty quick and hot and fresh. The steaks were done correctly but the type of steak was a little tough. We were looking for a good place for my son's birthday dinner. We decided on steaks and shrimp and ribs. Perfectly cooked, Our steaks were delicious . I thought the shrimp was over spiced a bit but were good. I had a raspberry margarita on the rocks that was tasty . My son had the Cooler which he said was really good. My hubby had the non alcoholic raspberry tea which is always delicious. My son got a full rack of ribs that literally fell off the bone-delicious. Every time we order pickup, it's at least 10 minutes after the estimated time. Today's order was a fried chicken salad, and a salmon entree. The salmon was overcooked and extremely salty. The lettuce in the salad was all wilted and brown, literally slimy and inedible. We've given this restaurant too many second chances. Today was the last one. read more

Man you Yelpers in RVA are tough on new spots. Texas Roadhouse has been open (in this brand new shopping center) for a few months now, but Yelpers in this town are brutal. Give these people here grace. Any new place is going to be hectic, busy with long waits and the servers will be stressed and may not be perfect, but in time things always get better. I was in food industry for 10 years, so I know what it's like. Our server tonight was fast to come by after we were sat. She took our sons order first and our drink orders. She talked with us about her son too and always had a genuine smile on her face. Our salads came out along with our sons mini burgers. Fresh salads and his mini burgers looked and smelled amazing. My husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered half slab of ribs with mashed potatoes. His prime rib was perfect. And my ribs, the meat fell off the bone, delicate and full of flavor. Anytime I pulled a rib I only pulled the bone and the meat just slipped off. Yes great job here you guys! The 45 minute wait was so worth it with our meals! We wanted to order the strawberry cheesecake, but they were all sold out! Bummer, but that's ok, we'll order it next time! The booths have metal extenders and then they place an extra table top on top for larger groups along with folding chairs. The high chairs are friggen adorable, they are mini versions that sit in the booth instead of being on the end. I went on a Friday night to Texas Roadhouse I order my 6 oZ filet with Mash Medwell I got my steak we was Med rare but it wasn't even cooked at all it was Rare, so I told the manager DANIELLE ROSS (Manager) to up-cook my steak she said okay she came back with my steak it was medium and not med well I waited 38mins for 1 steak I asked for a new mash cause it got cold waiting for my food. DANIELLE ROSS said it will be $2.99 more if you want a new side with a nasty attitude. She was talking about me with the other severs near the host stand laughing acting like I didn't hear her. After ordering our food, we noticed the table beside us received their food and shortly after the manager was at their table. They were expressing their dissatisfaction of their food and the manager expressed no empathy, took no accountability, simply stood there, listened, and said okay. We received our food around 9pm and all of it was cold...ALL OF IT and some overcooked. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and received the same response, from the manager. We wanted to enjoy bread with our dinner, the restaurant was out. No one who entered the restaurant during the time was able to enjoy bread at 9pm, am entire hour before closing. The young man who took the order repeatedly was told that I did not want two BBQ chicken plates. I wanted BBQ pork. When I got home, guess what? I had two BBQ chicken sandwiches. This was my first time going to any Texas Roadhouse. We were a large party of 12.. on a busy Saturday night. We had a reservation for 7pm and were seated around that time. Of course seating was tricky, due to the size of our party - BUT the staff made it work, and they were pleasant about doing so (even though we were being kind of picky ). Anyway, once seated, our Server Bre was AMAZING!! Brought drinks quickly, had a great memory, fun, kind, polite, attentive. She even made tartar sauce for my sister and some spicy dip for my nephew!! Talk about service at its finest!!!! We had 3 birthdays in our group, the youngest got in the saddle and she hyped up the crowd! It was so fun!! And the food.. DELICIOUS!!! I didn't even need my trusty salt shaker.. seasoned to perfection!! My side of rice was cold, but Bre brought a new one over right away!! And don't get me started on those rolls!! Fix it Jesus.. incredible!!! This is the first restaurant I have actually sat down and eaten in since Pre COVID! (OMG .. I will never go to this Texas Roadhouse location again, because the constant blaring of music was obnoxious and overwhelming. Turn down the volume of the music, it was deafening and constant. We wanted to hear conversations of the people at our table. Talking was difficult. The steak was great and most everything else, however, why don't all locations offer French fries instead of country fries (large chunks of potatoes versus fries)? Not everyone likes those chunks and aren't crazy about baked potatoes instead. It shouldn't be a big deal to offer all options. read more

I would have to say that this is a fairly new restaurant to the area and I see that there are a lot of growing pains. When my family and I entered, we were not greeted. There were about 3 people are the hostess stand, about 4 at the TO GO stand, and 3 servers who were standing near the hot bread and steak display. We waited for about 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. One of the employees at the hostess stand acknowledged us by saying "how many in your party"? I said that we had a party of 3. The hostess asked do we prefer a table or a booth, and we opted for a table. The hostess said it would be about 10 minutes. We sat for 40 minutes for a table. We saw others who came in and were seated before us. No one came and acknowledged us or even said.. "sorry for the delay.. " My family was ready to go somewhere else, but we had already invested so much time in waiting. After this time, the buzzer went off and we were seated. When we were seated, the server was amazing. She was attentive and took our drink orders immediately. The food we ordered came out quickly. One of the side dishes were a bit under cooked, but the server changed the order quickly. We really enjoyed our food. The server was fantastic. It will be a while before we return, but we will see how things go after a while. read more

Had the fried pickles and they weren't as good as I remember from the last time I was at a Texas Roadhouse (few months ago at the one by Chesterfield Town Center). I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken on my chicken sandwich was not cooked all the way through on the thicker side. I did not send it back, just didn't eat it. The mushrooms on the sandwich were really delicious! The rolls were good, especially with the cinnamon butter. Can't rave about the food here. It's a chain restaurant with a standard menu. Limited light fare options, mostly heavy food. Probably won't come back too much. read more

2/28/21 between 1730-1800 pick up curbside DO NOT DO IT, Eat inside seated. Our steaks were half raw half medium well tonight. Baked potatoes HORRIBLE nothing was good. The curbside ladies also disorganized bad. Pretty sure food was half cooked then tossed under a heat lamp. I had dinner with my family this evening and our server told us said she was new. She acted as if she was nice until we asked for more bread. She told us there was no more bread available for the rest of the night. Lol. I then asked her how were they closing at 11 and there wasn't any more bread baked. All of a sudden she came back with a bag with bread and dropped it on our table without a word and kept walking. Miss lady, the bread is not yours, it's for the customer's to have. Not sure what that was about or what the servers problem was. As I will continue to say about this establishment. Ok. I despise leaving bad reviews so I am going to be as gentle & truthful as possible. Last time I gave a 5 star review because the server was just AMAZING & made it fun for our kids. I loath complaining, but today was not great. The server today was fine, but definitely not as attentive like our prior experience. My kids mini cheeseburgers were literally black hockey pucks as you can see in the pictures. I would never have served that to a customer when I was a server. My kid couldn't eat them & ate off my plate instead. My dish was the Country Friend Steak. My kid ate it but I wasn't impressed. The ribs were mediocre compared to our previous visit & served on a super greasy plate. Was it clean before?? I honestly am not sure. They were NOT busier than normal at all. If they had been it would have explained the lackluster experience. It just really felt like they didn't care as much as before. I want to give a shout out to our incredible waiter, Amaris, at the Texas Roadhouse in Colonial Heights, VA. We ate there after church on Sunday, April 7, around 1pm. He brought freshly baked rolls with him on his very first visit to our table. Then on his second trip to take our food order, he brought a second basket of rolls. He checked on us quite often, took great care of us, always with a smile on his face. He made our dining experience very enjoyable. Food was excellent. We can hardly wait to go back! read more

They ran out of the type of steak I had already ordered and didn't offer me a complimentary item. They could have let us know about it before but they didn't. The table we were at had a dead roach on it. We had to be moved to a different table because of it. There were also a few rolls on the ground when we got seated and I also stepped in cinnamon butter. The butter got all over my shoes and I was not able to get the stain out. After seeing the DEAD ANIMALS on the walls I felt bad for the for the people that love animals. The dead animals made me want to leave and not give business to them. I was also trying to watch TV, but the TV was frozen. Some of the lights in the restaurant are also not working. read more
