I really wasn't going to mention anything. However, upon tasting the to-go sweet tea I asked for that ended up not being sweet, was the last straw (which we had to ask for too). According to the receipt the last name is Hodges who was our server. I had high hopes, but it ended up being a very horrible experience. We had a table of 6, with a high chair requested which they couldn't (and didn't try to ) accommodate. That's fine we looked past that. Next, was no happy greeting, just basically an asking of our order of drinks. Drinks were delivered and with it being Father's Day we know the wait is extra long with things. However when other tables are getting rolls and you are still sitting empty, to me it speaks of the priority that your waiter or waitress makes concerning your table. I have been a waiter so I know about prioritizing your customers. So when we asked for rolls, our server stated I will try to get some but none are out. When I look at the station, I see plenty of rolls out and her just not going to get them. Then a manager comes to greet us. Nice fellow. He ask if there is anything we need to let him know. We told him some rolls would be nice, ......and we never seen him again. So upon asking our waitress again, I guess seeing our frustration she went and got some easy. So the food was brought out and tasted good and correct. The waitress is then never seen again till she is ready to see how to split the tickets. By this time my wife has hopped up herself and got us to go boxes, we had to ask another waiter for some items and everyone had empty drinks wanting refills and ....some more rolls. So upon her coming to split tickets and give us that, we asked her for more rolls and refills. I asked her for a refill of sweet tea which I had been waiting for a while and more rolls. She brings back what I thought was sweet tea and tells us no rolls are available. We finally decide to just go with my wife apologizing to me cause she wanted my Father's Day to be a better experience. Upon leaving we get to where they set out the rolls and it's like 4 baskets just sitting there. I ask a different manager because we never seen the guy manager again, can I have some rolls because I asked for some but our waitress never delivered any. This manager gave me some right away. Great. So leaving at least happy about that, then I went to taste my to go sweet tea which wasn't sweet on the way home and was seriously disappointed again! I don't like to complain because I know being a waitress or waiter does take a lot in giving good service, but this lady either needs tables of just 2 peopke or a different job or position, or retraining. My mom was even going to make a to go order but was told if she placed it she would have to wait a while. My mom was thinking well had she as our waitress came to our table earlier to check on us she could have placed it earlier and it would have been ready by the time we left. Just a bad, bad experience. I almost, besides the good food and my friends and family, wish we had went somewhere else. I WILL NOT have her as a server again, if and when I go back. Disappointed and the experience was disappointing. Very disappointing. I could say more (table not wiped before being seated, our waitress checking other tables but not ours...etc.) but I think anyone reading will understand. My family and I came in and were sat after about an hour of waiting. The food was undercooked, but luckily our server was able to keep a positive attitude. We asked to speak to a manager and waited almost 15 minutes before someone came atl our table. The manager had a real hard time keeping her attitude in check. We asked for a discount or refund since the food was all wrong and were denied. Paid full price for food that wasn't right. Service was amazing on such a busy night. There was easily an 80 minute wait time and not because Texas Roadhouse was slow. The ambiance was your typically Texas Roadhouse with TVs and western decor. The food was good and filling but the steak was a little over cooked for my liking but it wasn't that big of a deal. Our server was fast and attentive. Worse service is not possible. After texting I had arrived and waiting for someone to come out with my order I finally had to approach the window. To find two young ladies busy on their phones. They then informed me that my order was sitting right there the whole time... except it wasn't. There was one more item and that it would be 5 more minutes and I should leave and come back. 5 minutes later return to find them again playing on their phones. Was told they never actually started to make it. It would be another 10 minutes. I requested to speak with a manager, who was too busy. But im supposed to now believe that the item will be refunded. Food was good. Service started out good, but after the third ask for a straw, it went downhill from there. My husband waited 10 minutes to get his glass of water refilled, and when our food was brought in, the waitress never came back to ask us if everything was OK, if we needed anything, etc. We had a clear view into the kitchen, and it's like she went in there and just never came out. The last time she did come out she walked by our table and looked the other way. We hate using the pay kiosks at the table, but my husband commented that he'd never been so glad to not have to deal with anyone to pay. We also noticed at the order kiosk close to us, the same 4-5 waiters and waitresses would stand there and look at the monitor and giggle and laugh extremely loudly. At times, my husband and I could not even hear each other speak because they were being so loud. We looked for a manager, but could not find one, and that may have been part of the problem. My friend and I went to Texas Roadhouse last Sunday night in Opelika, Alabama and for the most part it was a really good experience. The only thing that I didn't particularly care for was that I think they used liquid smoke on the pieces of prime rib that my friend & I had ordered. That is not something that you expect when ordering a nice piece of prime rib. had they advertised that it would be a smoked piece of prime rib I would not have ordered it... Sadly, it required me to use ketchup to add to my prime rib, which is not something that I usually do...but by doing so I was able to overpower the liquid smoke that they had used on the 12 ounce piece of prime rib. I still will frequent Texas roadhouse because I enjoy their rolls, their friendly Hostesses and good food. read more

It's super fun the birthday stuff they do definitely put me out of my comfort zone, but in a good way. Their lemonade is super good, but not as good as others. Steak is good and they have A1. When food was brought out I was missing my salad and before I even had the chance to ask my server about it she left. She did not come back to check on us once or do refills. Chicken fingers were what looked like little tiny pieces that were the remnants of several prior batches. They were dried out and old . I had send those back too, did NOT reorder because it was getting close yo their closing time and I was tired was seeing if they could get anything right. One of the worse steak meals I've ever had. I ordered the 8 oz New York strip medium. It had so much fat I couldn't cut through it with the steak knife. When was able to break into it, it was bleeding. I had to send it back and it was replaced with one that also was mostly very hard fat. I was able to eat 5 small bites. The rest was still raw. My wife ordered the sirloin med well. Most of hers was so red it should have been classified as medium rare. Even the waiter and manager agreed. They did comp my steak. Had a previous good experience, but this time it was not. We had a party of 7 and got our order in by 7pm, when we arrived at 6:45. When we got to the 30 minute mark of waiting for our food, we asked for another order of rolls. We did not receive them until we had reminded the waitress again after another 10 minutes. Our food did not arrive until around 8:15pm, which was a little frustrating because parties that were the same size (and arrived after us) got their food substantially earlier than us. They are extremely inconsistent. We've had some really good food, but several times it's been really bad. Today we got to-go and I took back an order because the meat was mangled, and the manager said that it was me who didn't like the way it was pounded. They remade it but not the rest of the order, which was going cold while I waited. It's the third time my husband's country fried steak has been bad, but we get accused of being picky. The manager was rude and defensive, never apologized, and made out as if we were at fault. The first time we dined here we never even for to eat because it took 50 minutes and there was still no food... and they seemed shocked that we were leaving. We decided to try it again and had a good dine in experience. We've had several to-go orders since then and they are really variable. Today's experience leaves us feeling like we don't want to go back again. Getting a decent meal here is like playing Russian roulette. read more

Got there before 5:00 PM on a weekday and had a very short wait for a table. The appetizer (rattlesnake bites) was good. I had the 6 oz. filet, medium rare. It was cooked properly and was ok; not the worst filet I've had, but far from the best. The baked potato and salad were both good. My wife had the 12 oz. ribeye, medium rare with sweet potato and seasoned vegetables. The steak was much thinner than expected and was well done, the sweet potato was burnt, and the veggies almost raw. Her meal went back and she got a properly done steak and a good sweet potato.
