So good. Just an amazing restaurant for good service, yummy and affordable steak. We got the 16oz ribeye and a chicken salad and it was more than enough for two hungry people and a kid. We had tons of leftovers. Steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and perfectly medium rare! I was very impressed. The side mash potatoes came with butter and they definitely overdid it on butter.... But that's ok it was still yummy. I also love that they have nice quality booster seats for toddlers... way better than those flimsy plastic ones that they can't be buckled into. Service was excellent, we were checked in on often and our waitress was very kind. I would 10000% come back! Food was AMAZING and very pocket friendly!

Went on a weekend and the wait times were extensive. You add your name to a waiting list, but there's no way to know how far down the list you are. There's stores nearby to help pass the time. It was extremely busy! At one point we were offered a free app to sit at the bar. We opted to wait. Our server was friendly. The service wasn't bad, but a couple of items were forgotten and I attributed that to the level of business. Once we had our order corrected, it was quite enjoyable. The bread and butter is always a must. If you're looking to pop in for a casual bite or comforting bread and beverage, I would avoid peak times.

So enjoyed dinner here with my family. The food is always amazing, and the service was exceptionally good. Denissa provided an awesome service for our table. The peach tea and fired catfish meal with sweet potato and salad really made my day. The rolls are amazingly soft served with butter. It was very crowded, however, they know how to handle a crowd. It's best to call ahead and get on the waitlist. The ambiance is nice and good for family dining. They no longer have peanut shells on the floor, but give you sealed bags at your table and will give you one per person if you ask. We had an amazing service and will definitely be back.

Nice restaurant. This was 1st time here. We usually go to the North Plainfield location, but since it was closer to the relatives' house, we decided to come here. The service was great, and the food was cooked nicely. I would return if I were in this area again. It was nicely located on rt 9, so it was easy to get to and find. They also had 2 dinner plates in a package with appetizers, so we decided to try it. One platter with Steak and Ribs; the second with Steak and Chicken. Each Platter got 2 sides. We had corn with both, and one with fries and the other with sweet potatoes. It was nice to split the food among the 4 of us, and we all got the meat we wanted since they were combo plates and since we were there with 2 kids. Afterwards, we went to the nearby Daily Queens for desserts. Overall, the lunch was great. Also, they sell cut meats at the front, so you can bring home steak meat and cook it at home.

Great steaks and exceptional service! Our family of 4 visited Texas Roadhouse in Old Bridge, NJ for a Sunday dinner in Jan 2025. It was our first time at this location. The place was packed but since we joined the waiting list on restaurant's webpage we got seated right away. We got delicious food and received an exceptional service by our waiter Will who was super friendly and attentive. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for yet another consistently great experience! All steaks were perfectly cooked to the level ordered! Though Prime Rib was good we found Ribeye and Sirloin to be more flavorful and juicy. We certainly recommend Texas Roadhouse in Old Bridge, NJ if you are up for good steaks, exceptional service, and all that at a very reasonable price! The dinner was unbelievable! I had the catfish meal, with rice and baked sweet potato. The waiter was very nice and efficient. The ambiance was clean and well kept. No peanuts on the floor.

Prime rib done medium-rare or up to medium is best steak here at Texas Roadhouse. Others are not bad for the price but could be a bit tough. Sides are great, can't go wrong with chilli and baked potato. Overall its good bang for your buck and portions are good.

Well done so ordered medium rare.

Next time, I'll literally just order a rack of ribs. I didn't understand why my corn sat in water. I came for Easter. Bathrooms are clean tho!

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances

It was a place we genuinely enjoyed coming back to, which is why it is disappointing to say that the quality has declined significantly over our last several visits. The steak quality does not seem to be what it used to be. The risotto portion has noticeably decreased, and unfortunately, the flavor has gone downhill as well. It used to have a creamy consistency and actual sauce, but now it is more like slightly wet rice with very little flavor. This most recent visit was especially disappointing because even the crab cakes smelled and tasted sour, which is something I have never experienced there before. What makes this review different from simply having one bad meal is that this has now happened during our last three visits. At this point, I don't believe it was a fluke or an isolated bad night. There has been a noticeable decline in both the quality and portions of the food. I really hate leaving a review like this because we genuinely used to love Steak 85 and have recommended it in the past. We have been loyal customers and have given the restaurant plenty of opportunities because of how much we enjoyed it previously. Hopefully, the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and brings the food quality back to what it used to be. Right now, though, based on our last three visits, we are honestly very disappointed especially because of the price point we expect quality.

Way better than the typical sturgeon caviar most restaurants serve. The oysters were also fresh and was served with delicious condiments. For our main entree we ordered the tomahawk for 2, with a side of corn and mashed potatoes. We loved that the steak was served with sea salt on the side that we can sprinkle on every bite. We finished our meal with flan and it was rich and decadent. It definitely put a dent in my wallet but we'll definitely be going back there soon to try their lobster risotto and other steak options! For dessert, my wife had the affogato, which both of us loved. The only disappointment of the night was the Tiramisu, not flavorful at all. The service was top-notch, I appreciated that the waiter was not a kid, which so many places use these days. It's very expensive, $380 for two (BYOB), including tip. As great a meal as it was, I don't think I will be a regular. If I come back, it won't be for the steak, mine cost $115. The mains don't include sides, it's all a la carte. I was especially looking forward to ordering the ribeye and lit up instantly when the server listed it as one of the specials. The server shared that he would need to collect the orders for all of our courses at the same time which was fine with me. I actually had more confidence in the timing of everything for that reason. Our server had a delightful energy particularly at the beginning of our visit. After we placed our orders, everything began to fall apart. It did get noticeably busy since we first arrived, but we ultimately waited for our main entrees for over 3 hours. 3 hours. The table ordered the charred octopus and the oysters to start. The oysters hit the table fairly quickly, but then we began to gradually notice how long it was taking for the octopus to come. I had only a slither of the octopus so that I could say I tried it. Everyone at the table raved about the taste. I did, however, agree that their oysters were delicious especially when dressed with a little bit of mignonette, lemon, horseradish and a touch of Tabasco sauce. I'm excited to now report that I am a fan of fresh oysters from the east coast, because apparently the coast matters. The table also ordered the canaletto stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan and another cheese, langostines and lobster with morel mushroom cream sauce, garnished with truffles. I passed on this one also as it was too adventurous for my taste buds; although, their delicious bread and our drinks did distract me for a little while. The restaurant is BYOB, so we had our wine to keep us company while we observed other tables come and go. We eventually asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty which was either untrue or a very poor decision on the part of the owners considering it was a Friday evening. Having someone occasionally check in with our table may have also helped to take the pressure off of the server who may have gotten overwhelmed or decided to prioritize other tables. Having a manager offer a personal apology may have helped us feel less forgotten about. After the three hour mark, we decided this was enough. I didn't have much to eat at this point, but I wasn't at all worried initially since I was there for the main event, the ribeye. I stopped a hostess who was walking past our table and asked for the manager. We were again told the manager is not here but can be called, if needed. I simply replied, "Please do". Shortly afterwards, I noticed our server who at this time was standing by the host stand briskly walk into the kitchen and then return to our table with our plates. I sent the food back which was a decision that was supported by everyone at the table. Let me tell you, that was a difficult decision to make, but I also was ready to call it a night. Our mood had changed, and I truly felt like we were derservant of having the same experience as everyone else that night. Our server apologized for his part to play in the ordeal which I appreciated since I know his intention was never malicious, but unfortunately we had to call this night a bust. He offered us dessert on the house, and our entire meal was comped which we felt was an appropriate resolution. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding which was a favorite. Very good. Jasper Stone is a beautiful establishment with decorative yellow and white floral arrangements throughout the dining area. It is clearly a popular restaurant and has many positive reviews. I regret that I could not have a comparable experience.

Be aware, everything is à la carte so you will need to order a potato (or split one as we did) and even a sauce will be a separate charge. We were a party of 6. For appetizers we ordered a seafood tower for 4, crab stuffed mushrooms and meatballs. Two people had salads. The seafood tower was impressive, raw bar oysters and clams and well as shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, lump crab meat and lobster tails and claws. A++ and provided a mignonette! Presentation was great on this too! Steaks were two NY strip, two Delmonico cuts and a filet mignon with Caesar salad. Steaks are very good and prices are decent for the size/cut. As for the thickness and the exterior char, 7/10. They were very good and I would go again, but, 1800* char didn't show and the Delmonicos were thinner than most steakhouses. We enjoyed them immensely though. One person order fish (forgot the type, maybe halibut) and it looked nice. But, she said it was fishy tasting. She only ate some of it. The sides, particularly the creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts were outstanding! A++ We did not opt for dessert because we had plans for coffee and dessert elsewhere. 6 people $647 bill (keep in mind the seafood tower for 4 was $140) and we all had at least 1 drink, with tip it came to $780. I think it was good.

Fun energy in the bar. Appetizers and dinner were tasty…read more The food out of the kitchen was slow, super slow, especially given our entree was prime rib and a baked spud. Cooked for hours before serving! We asked our server several times, she said kitchen was very busy. We ordered 2 desserts to go. It wasn't until we got back to our hotel that we realized both desserts were missing their side of vanilla ice cream and forks/spoons ! Both! $30 of desserts were meh without the ice cream and not really finger food! Lack of attention to details soured our overall experience. We won't be back!
