We had an excellent experience at Texas Roadhouse this evening. Our server Madi was superb and very attentive to us. She was very welcoming and super friendly and made sure we had anything we needed for our dinner. The food was average for Texas Roadhouse chain restaurants. We always feel we get good food for the money we spend which is a bonus for us visiting Texas roadhouses. They are very reasonable with their prices and portions. My steak came out perfectly as I requested and it came out quick and hot. The restaurant was clean but as usual loud. I do wish they'd turn down the music as it gets super loud in there. read more

Let start by saying the food was fantastic. My steak was cooked to order and melted in my mouth. The atmosphere was great, we sat at the bar and enjoyed the view of the interior. We dined in last night and it was horrible. Our server was very slow to come take our drink order. We should've taken that as a sign to leave. We ordered rattlesnake bites and they came out really quick. Apparently too quick because the cheese in the middle was still cold. They brought us a new order which we appreciated. When we were sat we never received bread so we asked for some. There was a hair on the bread and the manager offered us fresh bread which we obviously declined. The server came to our table maybe twice during the visit. We didn't get refills when we needed them. When he finally came around and I asked for more Coca Cola, he brought us Dr. Pepper. I couldn't ask him to correct it because he never came back to our table. He never brought our check to us so that we could pay. We obtained the order total from the kiosk at the table and left the cash on the table. The food also wasn't hot at all. It was barely warm. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. When we checked into this location, they told us to go wait outside ( I'm 66 yrs old ) in the heat mind you 90+ degrees. So when we finally get to our table, the table is filthy and has sticky steak sauce all over the table that won't come off I tried. So we order our steaks. We get them about 25 minutes later ordered medium rare steaks came well done. My steak was so overcooked. I could barely cut it with a knife it was disgusting. I sent my steak back to get redone. I can't eat leather. The other person with me decided to eat their steak they didn't wanna wait , while they finished off their food my plate barely got served and that took another 20 minutes to get redone so I had them bring me a to go box and I just packed up everything and took it home. This is the worst Texas Roadhouse I've ever been to. I do not recommend this one. We were able to sit in the bar and order our dinners from there, saving time from having to wait 45 minutes for a standard booth. The service was quick and friendly as well! We ordered potato skins and then the Ft. Worth Ribeyes with side salads and chili. The steaks was seasoned and cooked correctly. Everything else was delicious and met our expectations. In the end, an appetizer and two steak dinners with drinks came to about $61. We checked in once we were in the premise and only waited 20 minutes to be seated. Our server immediately brought over freshly baked hot rolls which were a hit with the fam! We had several baskets (we were famished so slow your roll...get it?) Once our orders were taken, our server came back to say some items were not in stock which was a bit disappointing. And, it was returned way overcooked and sliced! Their third try was finally right, but that also took another 20 minutes! In the meantime, the fifth person in our party, whose meal was forgotten, was finally served after at least 35 or 40 minutes after ordering it. This was absurd at this juncture, but we were patient about it. Fortunately, the manager decided on her own to remove both failed meals from the bill. Otherwise, this might be a two star review. It is amazing g to me the development that is occurring along Southwest Military in the former Brooks AFB area. One of the restaurants that is fairly new is Texas Roadhouse. I ate there today with my meat loving brother and I must say I was greatly impressed. The Caesar salad was fresh, cold and tasty. The 11oz. Sirloin was a perfect medium and bursting with flavor. Tender, juicy and flavorful - what more could you ask for. Combine that with 3 or 4 of their always good rolls, and it was a feast for Kings. At $16.95, I thought the price was reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. One final thing - we received EXCELLENT service and care from our waitress. Service is horrible. I took my mom for her to try for the first time and the service was horrible. We waited about 40 minutes just for bread. We went on a Thursday night and expected a wait. Anyways, there wasn't bread ready when we got there but about 15 minutes passed and when the waitress came We asked her to bring some and she said it was baking and would be out soon. She never came back and the tables with newer customers around us were getting bread. I had to get up and look for the server. I walked up to her and politely asked if she could bring us bread when she said every time she goes to check there is none. I told her all the tables around us got bread and to please bring us some she came back less than 5 minutes later and THREW the bread on the table. Didn't say anything didn't acknowledge us just three it in the table and walked away. My mom was in shock. I didn't really care but my mom got up and looked for a manager. She explained to the manager what happened and she apologized and gave us a new waitress and said the original waitress (Reagan) was going through something. But The manager never came to the table where I was sitting to ask if everything was okay or explain what happened or if everything was working out with the new waitress. As we left my mom went up to the manager to pretty much say her first experience sucked. So she gave my mom a $15 free entree. If anybody wants it LMk because we won't be going back. read more
