I love Texas roadhouse. Usually they are super busy on the weekends but we didn't have to wait like at all this visit it was really nice. My husband and I ordered the full rack of ribs and got two side salads. It was perfect for us because we love the rolls. When you go here prepare yourself to eat at least three rolls. The ribs were cooked perfectly and had great flavor and I love that they don't have too much sauce on them. Food was great but our server was probably one of the best servers I ever had. So sweet and fun. You can tell she enjoys her job and I never had an empty glass. Her name was Taylor I believe. We ordered food for pickup and they made us wait longer than 30 minutes past pickup time and it wasn't ready. When we checked our items at the window, a bunch of stuff was missing and they said they would grab it. When we got home stuff was still missing and 1of the steaks was to be cooked medium and it was rare, three of the steaks were to be cooked well, one ended up being medium, one was rare, and one was overly well done. Baked sweet potato was not completely cooked and still quite hard, and the shrimp side kick only had 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp. Also the ranch dressing was super thick with chunks and tasted off. They used to be a very good restaurant, but over the last year have been going downhill with their quality. The waitress was a little distracted and had to be reminded of drink refills. She walked by our table to say the food was almost out, when it has been delivered already 5 minutes before. They don't take reservations so you have to get there pretty early because they get packed fast. During your wait there's time for you to go over the menu that they have on the wall. I have never in my life been so insulted by a manager. The manager at the Sandy, UT location on the evening of Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at 8:45 pm, Mark (The Manager), was beyond unprofessional. To start the evening, the hostess quoted us fifteen minutes for a table. The actual wait was three times what we were quoted. When I asked Mark about the discrepancy his response was that he wants the hostesses to tell all guest fifteen minutes so they don't leave. In my experience, you should under promise and over preform. Mark did not seem to get why I was upset about being lied to about the wait time. This is were my daughters wanted to eat. No matter what the wait time had been, we would have been waiting. The bigger problem with this is that my eldest daughter has type one diabetes. The fifteen-minute wait time is what we based her insulin on. So help me God, if she had a low blood sugar while we were waiting. And for what? So he could flirt with the hostess and complain about the other customers' shoes. Another problem that my wife and I had, was that the only person in the entire restaurant who seemed to be working was our waiter, Ted. That boy was busting his butt to get his tables service and he was also bussing his own tables. There were four table bussers just standing around blocking the way for paying guests. The fact that I saw Mark walk by them more than a handful of times and he did nothing, made me feel like the entire restaurant is poorly managed. It made our service much slower These kids were on their phones not paying attention to the work they should have been doing or helping the restaurant guests. All Mark did when I asked him about these things was make excuses. I don't care that you have a bunch of birthdays to take care of, I just want to know that the problem will be fixed. I also don't believe for one moment that anything that came out of his mouth was true accept when he proceeds to apologize for his team letting us down. "We had six birthday cakes to bring out tonight and that made people stay way longer". What a pile of crap. After Mark gave us the run around, we asked our waiter to have him get the district manager's phone number for us. Mark sent poor Ted back to tell us that they don't do that. Mark is such a terrible manager that he wouldn't even come tell us himself. That shows that he has no backbone to protect his employees when a customer is upset. But the most insulting thing of this entire ordeal, was that he offered a gift certificate for us to come back after we were already walking out of the door. He didn't try to make it right with us by giving us a free dessert. He just made sure that he offered us something to cover his ass. That coupon that he offered us was a total insult. I can tell you that I will not be returning to this location to spend more of my hard-earned money on another terrible experience. I brought my family out so that we could all relax and enjoy ourselves, but this piss pore excuse for a manager stole my family's evening. My family and I have enjoyed meals at other locations of your restaurants, but if this is how you allow locations to operate, then my wife and I will find another place for my girls to eat. read more

I love the food here. It is everything we want when we dine here. However, to truly enjoy the food means that you have to eat the food that you order. If you are dining in, then great! You will have a great experience. If you order out for pick up, you are playing Russian roulette. Over the last 6 weeks, we have places to go orders. The first time, the rolls decided to take a vacation and somewhere other than our stomachs. Okay, one time, no big deal....and we probably didn't need the extra carbs. Round 2, this time, 1 of the 6 meals we ordered was absent. That kind of sucked. But again, we chalked it up to a busy staff, and a mishap. We each took some of our food and gave it to our hungry boy and it worked out okay. Third time was today. And todays mishap was a royal pain in the ass. The loaded yams came without the the goods. The loaded baked potatoes were missing the sour cream and bacon bits. The 2 critter orders were missing the honey mustard sauce/. And the salads had no dressing. This time I tried to call and complain because unfortunately, you never realize this problem until getting home. I called the number of the store to complain, but alas, they have the phone system set up on an eternal loop. I left if on for more than 10 minutes and no none ever came. They must have been with the rolls from the first order and all the other missing meals and condiments. Great service and good food. I like the waiting list program where they text you when your table is ready. The steak was perfectly cooked and was nice and tender. When the hubs and I are craving steak, this is the place we go. Overall, their food is pretty consistent, and we've enjoyed our visit every time. I usually order the rib-eye and the hubs gets the sirloin. The entrees come with two sides as well. Service wise, I think this place is top notch. Our last server was one of the best we've ever had! The only downfall is the wait times. We were told that the wait would be 55-75 minutes :o but luckily it only took 45 min. We'll try calling ahead next time to avoid waiting so long. We were forced to use the app to order. Last time we had a real live person to order from. We went to restaurant where we thought we ordered from. They didnt have it. We had confirmation number. We were told it might be at South Jordan store. They didnt even offer to call for us to see if it was there. Or offer to do the order for as and transfer our payment from other store. Terrible customer service. By the time we drove across town our order was cold. South Jordan store didnt even call us to see if we were picking up our order of over $40.00. I'm shocked I'm giving it this high a rating. I really dislike chain restaurants, theme restaurants and country music. I can't think of a place that gives you more food for the dollar, that doesn't suck than TR. I've been to a couple other TRs and had pretty much similar experiences, but this review is all about Sandy. This one was better than my local in Orem. The server was excellent. Somehow, the "vibe" of the place, and the manager, is just a step up from the others in the area. I know the meat is bottom shelf USDA "choice". I have no idea what they do to turn slightly overcooked (I like true medium rare) "prime" rib into something that still tastes good. With some of the raw horseradish mixed into the creamy horseradish, it's very good. The rolls are good. The salads are very acceptable. The baked potatoes are really good. The beer selection mostly sucks -- all Bud and Cutthroat. However, their corkage is really cheap. Most everyone seems genuinely happy you are there. This is a chain that has obviously spent a lot of time and science into figuring out what I should like. In this case, it pretty much works. I'm still shocked I like it. I've been here enough to know it's not a fluke. A small note: get the call ahead number and call ahead. It makes a difference. Also, don't come on a weekend. Texas Roadhouse....? More like road kill. Or Dennys 2.0. The uninviting hostess should be taken as a warning sign to go back home. We used to come here all the time pre Covid so we know our roadhouse experience. This was our third time coming in a row of bad experiences and it will be our last. First of all our bubble gum pink hair waitress was amazing. You can't make people happy when the food is so bad but you tried to accommodate. One reason (or the only reason) people come here is the amazing rolls with mouth watering sweet cinnamon butter. But right off the bat things didn't seem right and it went down hill really fast. The rolls seemed off, but I usually lather the roll in the butter. I scooped it up and took a big bite. Instantly I spat it out. Not the same nostalgic taste. Thinking it wasn't mixed well I tried again. Nope!! It was just whipped butter. Tasteless, not sweet no cinnamon. I thought it was just me but my husband had the same disgust WTF is this facial expression. We asked the waitress for a different butter and she came back and same thing happened. There has never been a time where the butter container isn't licked clean. She came back with another and this was has barely a hint of what I remember it should be but by now we had lost our appetite. We ordered NY steak, ribeye in bone, Cesar salad, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The waitress was good trying to get everything smothered and now I know why. Our Cesar salad came out and it was like eating lettuce covered in mayo. Awful taste!! Was I in the twilight zone. Nothing was right. And it kept getting worse. I left the steak as is and some Parts tasted like propane. Had a lot of tendons, and although it came out medium like I asked, again it had no flavor. (Two times prior we had similar experience with the steak being poor quality and almost not tasting like meat). I tried to dip it in my mash potatoes and AGAIN I spit it out. Tried the potatoes by them self and it dissolved in my mouth........ oh this is instant mash potatoes. My guess is they mix instant potatoes with one or two real ones so you see the skin. Ok moved onto the broccoli and it was mush. Waaaaaay overcooked. My husband and I try not to leave left overs and going out to eat is special for us because we don't do it often anymore. But this food experience was terrible and not one thing was right. If they are skimping or completely leaving out certain ingredients this is a poor choice. Especially signature pieces like your butter. DONT waste your money here and especially DONT wait an hour to eat food I wouldn't give to my dog. read more

This is a very busy chain restaurant, and its location right by South Towne Mall was very convenient. Service was good, and the meal itself was super filling. The complimentary rolls with cinnamon butter are always tasty and can be a little filling especially with peanuts you de-shell yourself. We should have skipped the appetizer sampler. The boneless wings were overly breaded and the fried cheese balls and potato skins were just too much for the two of us. My entree was the 10oz prime rib for $15.99. It comes with two sides, and I had the buttered corn which is always good and a baked potato. The temperature of my slab of meat was a perfect medium rare, but I was given an extra fatty slice. By the end of the meal, we had lots of leftovers to take home. Texas Roadhouse is pretty solid when it comes to red meat, and you'll never leave hungry. read more

I strongly don't recommend take out at this location $55.12 that I should have spent else where. I love Texas Roadhouse this location has been slipping in good service well over six months. Husband and I went in for a much needed date night. I love that I have the option to get on the waiting list before arriving. It made it so much more convenient. We got our table and placed our order. Cami was an AWESOME server! She was really nice and fun to talk with. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the bar related drinks. I had ordered the pulled pork dinner and my husband obviously got a steak. Haha. When our food was delivered, the pork looked a little dry, so I had asked for a little extra bbq sauce to add to it. It was good. As a former server I know the ins and outs of serving food. I really didnt have an issue with my food. I got what I wanted from it, and was happy. Cami knew it wasnt what it was supposed to be, and got her manager involved. Sammy came to our table and talked with me about the meal. He asked if he could get me a new serving and I politely decline. I was good. I didnt want to complain or anything, I get it. Sammy was very nice and took care of my meal for me. It's not 4 Stars like a must go to type of restaurant, but it's a 4 Star rating for your basic sit down restaurants like a TGI, Outback, etc. This is a well run restaurant. Staff is very attentive. Managers must be pretty good because employee morale seems to be pretty high. Servers are all friendly and helpful. This type of chain restaurants tend to have DMV type employees that are just waiting for their shift to be over, so it was nice to see that this place breaks from that trend. read more

We were seated at a totally disgusting table. There were still food scraps on the table. Sticky seats. And all sorts of garbage under the table and on my feet. We pointed it out to the waitress and she just said " what can I get you to drink?" We ordered drinks thinking there was an apology or a broom coming, but nothing. Just our drink orders. I love this place. You've heard of the rolls... yes they're amazing.. or is it the butter? Either way they're good. The servings sizes are great and the price is right. I love the atmosphere of a country western restaurant, saddle chairs, and peanut shells on the floor. *Avoid if you have any peanut allergy. There is a huge bin of peanuts in the waiting area to snack on and they encourage you to leave the shells on the floor. I'd say it's great for a date or family dinner. Be weary, you'll end up smelling like food when you leave. This place and Chili's are the worst for that! read more
