I have been coming to Texas Roadhouse for years and years and have always struggled to get good service because I'm a little particular on how I eat. When I started coming to the Sandy location and had Stacy in the bar area start taking care of me it absolutely changed my customer experience. She not only remembers me and the way I like my food but she is always friendly and polite. She makes sure everything is ok and even goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. It's because of Stacy that I have become a weekly regular here when there are so many options around that are good like Longhorn and Outback. Stacy makes all the difference. Go in and ask to sit in the bar area and have her take care of you. You will not be disappointed!!! She is AMAZING!!!! read more

I was so looking forward to have a great dinner tonight it was all going good we ordered beer which was to die for, the appetizer was great! But when we ordered the steaks, mine was disappointing. Our steaks were cooked incorrect, my wife's was cooked the way I ordered and mine was cooked like hers was supposed to be. They took mine back to be replaced it took over 20 mins to get the new one. I had already drank 2 beers ( tall boys) when a different server noticed we still hadn't received it. she went back in and some how someone decided to bring it to our table, she was asking if the steak was good so right in front of her I decided to go ahead and eat it because my wife already had finished hers, the steak was a lot fattier than the previous one.I couldn't even cut through it and it still wasn't cooked right. The server dropped off the check and I never saw her again. The manager did take a couple dollars off and that was a nice jester, but I really just wanted my order brought to me correct so I could enjoy my meal. I would suggest some more training in the kitchen. read more

I usually order the 8oz sirloin or chicken fried chicken. Both very good. Today I decided to try the American burger with jack cheese and grilled onion. It was great! This is a four star because we had to wait quit awhile for the check. read more

Good food, decent service. Extremely loud restaurant. Mine ears exploded. The chicken tenders do not look good but they taste all right. I loved my fried catfish and the steak fries were fantabulous! Skip the applesauce. Eat as many rolls as you can handle. Thus ends my advice for you. read more

Service was great. They were running a little behind(we didn't notice) so the manager got us a free appetizer. The only negative I have is if you have a large party more when six people you will have to sit across or back to back with the rest of your party. This is why I had to remove one star. There's two things you get from a Texas Roadhouse restaurant; fresh baked bread and over-seasoned steaks. This place has the potential to be something better, to serve more than just a steak, but sadly, the chef preparing the steaks gets "season happy" and over seasons each steak. Every bite then becomes a fight to swallow what feels to be a good piece of meat drowning in salt and whatever else substance they drench it with. On top of that, after calling ahead to place our seating, they accidentally forgot to check us in their computer when we got there to check in, and we still had to wait over an hour until the host apologized and said she, "simply forgot." I understand things happen, but when your wife is pregnant and hangry, your "simply forgetting" mind won't cut it tonight. This will be our first and last time at Texas Roadhouse. 2 stars for the bread and butter. No stars for Gretchen Wieners. read more

From when I first came in I was asked for how many people I said 3 well , I was skipped my turn and they went to the people behind us so when it was my turn I wasn't served the bread they usually serve when seated . So as we were seated we ordered drinks and were still waiting on our bread which by now I believe they had forgot . Well we were seated in a middle table and I was in a seat as they were cleaning the booth next to us I was kicked by an employee who was cleaning the booth and then shoved by another who didn't even apologize . I saw another waiter and asked for my bread and he looked at me in a weird way and just said sure and when he came back with the bread he sort of shoved them my way and said here . So for the rest of that night that waiter was very rude staring at us . I just did not think this was acceptable and wish it was different experience . read more

Anyway, we took some guests from the southeast to Texas Roadhouse last night, and it exceeded our expectations with a very good meal. Service: We were seated much sooner than last time I went (but it was also late on a Wednesday, so it didn't have the huge weekend crowd). The service was friendly and prompt. Ribs: Frankly, the ribs here are better than any small bbq joint in the Sandy area. I hesitate to say that since this is a big restaurant chain, but it's true: none of the small barbecue places in town do ribs this good (see my other reviews - I've tried them all). Steak: They overcook the steaks here, like most restaurants (in fact, is Outback the only place that doesn't overcook their steaks?). But the steaks are good. Ribeyes and filets were all devoured. Just order it a level under what you want (if you want medium-rare, order rare; if you want medium-well, order medium; etc.) Sides: Let's just stop kidding ourselves and realize what our guest said: the rolls are closer to donuts than anything else. So of course they're delicious. Even the house salad was really good. Better than I expected. They load up all the sides with plenty of sugary and fatty deliciousness: marshmallows melted on the sweet potatoes, cheese, butter, sour cream, bacon... just lots of goodness (read calories) all around. Worst experience we have ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. The wait was long. Because of the large groups the service was also very slow. Our waiter would come by and disappear immediately. We started bussing our own table. When the actual meal finally arrived, my steak was not a medium rare. It was over cooked and had the consistency of Liver. After speaking with our server, he went and got the Manager. She came over and leaned herself and her forearms on our table. I kid you not. SHE WAS RESTING HER FOREARMS ON OUR TABLE.It was like she was in your face and would not pull back. Seeing this, I told her I wanted nothing and that I was not willing to wait for them to redo my steak. I could see she was upsetting the rest of the family because she was so close. To a point that my wife and son both lost their appetite because the Manager was taking directly above their plates. You've seen where people speak that little bits of spit come out. Went in here Sunday night late and sat at the bar with 3 other guys. (All in town for business meeting) I was a little hesitant bc it was about 45 min to close but the bartender was great and chipper and took care of us. I have 1 gripe, and it may seem petty but I was bummed that they didn't have any Texas beers since they are called "Texas Roadhouse". I hoped they had Shiner Bock and no go. Not a huge feel but being from Texas myself I was a little surprised. There were also out of ground beef so they ups old me a steak while I was there. It's what I wanted anyways so no big deal but kinda silly to run out of any beef product at a steak house. Will be back either way. read more

If you like bread for an appetizer this is the place! They have awesome rolls with some sort of home made butter that makes them just perfect! As far as steak houses go it's great for a chain. Sides are plentiful and the spirited menu is good and full of manly appetizers made from taters and fried foods. Don't go on a weekend unless you have a half hour to kill waiting. read more

If you want an uncomplicated steakhouse that does one thing well, go here. The steaks are simple, flavorful, unpretentious, and reasonably priced. They have other offerings (ribs, bbq chicken) that are just as tasty. That is why I go to a steakhouse. Good steaks, and uncomplicated food. Simple is best. Service is fast and friendly, and the prices are not out of line with what you get. The only thing I dislike, is the chain's use of shell-on peanuts as an appetizer. The shells are littered everywhere, and not really cleaned up. I realize this is intentional, and add to the "appeal" to some patrons, but I don't like it. read more

This location is our favorite. They're usually busy, but it's worth the wait. I recommend using the call-ahead service. We love the hot rolls and cinnamon butter!!!!! The fried pickles are a great appetizer! The ribeye is best medium rare, and I've never used steak sauce on it. The side salad actually comes on a cold plate, and I love the blue cheese and blue cheese crumbles! And I usually have a hard time choosing between the loaded sweet potato and loaded baked potato. They are both soooo good. It is quite loud, and I don't recommend any desserts, but other than that, I really do love this location! read more

Love Texas Roadhouse, but will forever avoid the Sandy location. What is the point of putting your name down on the NoWait app when you have to wait an additional 30 minutes for a table? This is my second run-in with this location. I can say that this is a Sandy problem, because the Riverton location is always busy but never has this issue. Sorry Sandy, won't be back. read more

This particular last trip I had here we had an amazing server! It is really unfortunate that I cant remember his name because I would love if his supervisor saw this and rewarded him. He was very quick, we would push our plates that we were finished with at the end of the table and he would just swipe them. If we left our low or empty drink towards the end he would be by in less the a few minutes and filled it. As for the food the bread is so delicious, and so is the steak. I really want to try some of their chicken dishes. It also gets super packed here on weekends, but you can reserve your spot in line ahead of time by calling or using yelp which is super awesome! read more

I had the Killer Ribs with steak fries. Killer? Not super sure about that. The ribs I got were a bit too burnt (lots of large chunks that were charred to inedibility), but the parts that were cooked well actually tasted really good and were quite juicy. The fries were also pretty good, but just slightly over seasoned on some of them. Service was fairly prompt, but it took forever to get an extra set of utensils. On a busy day, especially if you have a large party, you'll have to wait pretty long to get seated, so prepare accordingly. read more

We frequently go to this restaurant but this last time we were there my boyfriend and I sat and waited even though it wasn't busy for over a half an hour with only a basket of bread. No one got us drinks, took our orders, or even bothered to ask if we needed anything. We were ignored by everyone and even the manager walked past several times. I have an issue with chains. Usually. This one embodies what can be good about a chain. Service at every one I have been to is great. Corporate is doing a fantastic job in training. The hostess was not at all friendly, they put us in the back corner with a horrible waiter. All we ask is to be friendly if that is the profession you are in!!!! Friendly but so salty I could not eat it . I ordered the salmon , grilled and it was inedible. Even the skin on the baked potato was salted . Everything was salt . I sent my salmon back from o be unseasoned and it still tasted salty when it came back , like there was salt on the grill. Weak pour on the wine too. read more

Racism! Such a sad word to be used, but nothing else comes to my mind about this place. I am, let's say, a regular at this place, but this Saturday, I just gave up! I am not into this review/get free game, but I have to voice my frustration somehow. Like a said, I go there quite often, and EVERY TIME they try to make seat by the bathroom, some people might no mind, but I do, so every time I have to ask for a different place, and go back to the line, I would be ok if the bathroom table was the only one available, but this is never the case, there are always plenty of empty ones, now they are trying to use the Covid-19 excuse, but I am talking about a ongoing issue that started way before this pandemic. I asked to talk with the manager and explained my frustration and of course she denied the I was being discriminated and was just a coincidence that I ALWAYS get offered the same table through the years, and got me a spot in the bar, note I was with my wife, and I pointed to 2 empty booth tables but she told me that due to COVID-19 they were not available but for my surprise and frustration 2 people were seated on the table awhile I was talking with her! That was just the final insult! Complete BS! So a little piece of advice, unless your name is English based, don't go there... Very sad situation to say the least... read more

I'm not sure why this place is always so packed. I like that they have the call ahead seating, but every time I call on a weekend evening, the wait is still insane. We go once or twice a year because we get tired of the same places we normally eat. The last two times, however, it just hasn't been that good. I do like that there is something on the menu for everyone, meaning all my kids can find something they like. The rolls and honey butter are delicious, of course. Everyone at the front counter has a thumb up their ass. They don't do their job. When tables are ready, all they do is stand around and talk to each other. Food was great. The service is awful. The front desk said we were gonna wait for an hour. It is understandable but they just did not keep the word. We got the confirmation number and kept tracking that. We wait for almost 2 hours, and they said we are gonna clean the table for you. We waited for another 20 mins. The front desk did not put our name in the list. They were just standing there and did nothing. Please train your employees better. read more

This place is a family favorite. Service was prompt and friendly and the drinks stayed filled! We were definitely a difficult table with a big party including small children, but it didn't seem to phase them. Food was all delicious and my husband LOVES the blue crush lemonade (which is actually orange flavored lol) We shared a steak and chicken critter combo and the steak was cooked perfect for medium.
