Went for dinner June 10th. Slow service. Ordered Diet Coke. Several minutes later server came back and said they are out of Diet Coke. Ordered dinner. Both of us ordered ribs. 10 min later he comes back again and tells us they are out of ribs. We order something else and finish dinner. As we leave we see 2 plates of ribs being delivered. Overall, the service and the food were good. We got seated with a short wait. The server was friendly. The complimentary rolls and the incredible cinnamon butter were delicious. Feel like I could eat 10 of them. The fried pickles was good and we got the horseradish dipping sauce to go with them. I got Caesar salad as my side. It was good, too much dressing though. It's a pretty busy place. They have never let me down with my meal satisfaction. I love their house steak sauce. The hot rolls and butter are to die for, iykyk. Texas roadhouse food is great. The service is outstanding. The atmosphere is wonderful I love coming to my local Texas roadhouse in Suffolk.

We've visited this specific location a few times now. The service has become increasingly worse. This past time, the service was just okay, they weren't super busy as we went earlier in the day. We had no issues with ordering. Our first course came out: salads. Normally, their Caesar salad is my absolute favorite, so I dove right into eating the salad. About 1/4 of the way through I saw something moving... yes you read that right. There was a bug swimming in my salad dressing. I'm sure it hitched a ride on the greens, but that means that they aren't washing their salad greens at all (which is a huge violation of health code). That obviously disgusted me, but the manager and our waitress were quick to act, and gave me a replacement item. Our waitress continued to make sure that everything was okay through the end of our meal. When the bill came, they very kindly comped my part of our meal. We also noticed that quite a few of the dishes and drinking glasses were dirty, having remnants of old food on the rims. I'm not really sure what is going on with this place. I know that they have high standards for cleanliness and sanitation, but they absolutely failed us this past time. We will find another Texas Roadhouse to visit, or another steakhouse all together. I'm really disappointed with this specific location, but I am pleased with how our waitress and manager handled our issue. I would recommend that the "buyer beware" with this location, going forward. read more

Well, we gave it 5 visits and 4 different waitresses before I decided I am done with roadhouse. We had a waitress disappear after we were done eating, sat for 43 mins waiting for her to show up, then had to flag someone else down to get check ‍. We have gotten seated and ordered drinks then were left without anyone checking on us till food arrived by someone else an hour later. My food was cold, Scott's was warm. We understood everything going on around us and low staff problems. We went back but this time there were so many waiters it was crazy lol. Yet, same stuff happened. No bread was ready when we were seated, waitress came and got out drink orders and left ... after about 15 mins of watching all the tables around us get bread , I ask another a waitress to hook us up haha. Finally bread!!!! It was yummy. Then our waitress showed up to take our order, this time she left and didn't come back. I was drinking beer and was out, Scott's tea had been empty. We were getting alittle upset but let it go once food arrived. Of course someone else delivered it, I asked her to get out waitress pleaseee. After half way done with meals she came , I asked for refills ( still being nice and smiling) . It's so sad . We are the most laid back people, but even this was it for me. Love the food but I just can't go to this place anymore. I can cook this at home, we come for the smiles and services ... but after 5 bad visits , we are done. read more

I placed a to-go order at around 6:30pm. The app said it would be ready at 6:58pm. Got there a little after 7pm to give them time just in case it was busy. I sent the text saying i am here but it said my food wasn't ready. Went up to the window to see what was the reason of it not being ready and a young girl said i had to wait on the Mac and cheese to be ready in 3 minutes. No one came back to the window and 30 mins had passed when it should've been ready in 3 mins. They gave me a bag of peanuts i guess for the inconvenience. Got my food and it was ice cold. Come to find out, my combo was just sitting for about an hour before the side dish was made. My fries , sirloin and shrimp were cold. Only thing ok was the rolls. [As of 8 July] I wanted to take my aunt (and family)out for her birthday dinner, so Texas Roadhouse was the place to go. RESTAURANT: I didn't called ahead for my group, so our wait time was about 25 minutes. Not too bad for how busy it was. As you may know, they have their well known peanut-eating gallery as soon as you enter. The lighting is low giving a more intimate feeling for your dining party...I think. Sound level is loud, but that is expected. Colorful neon lights hang from the ceilings along with multiple televisions broadcasting different sports in the bar area. STAFF: When we were informed about our wait time, I followed-up and asked if it was necessary to give my name in order to ensure we wouldn't be overlooked. It wasn't but the hostess seemed a bit distant when speaking. FOOD: ROLLS!! I can just make a meal of their rolls alone. But I am a growing boy, so I need some meat! I ordered the BBQ Pork with a baked potato. To my disappointment, the meat was not as saucy as I hoped. I am not sure if it was made this way initially or it was just sitting for a while waiting to be served. The baked potato was nicely done though. Well, where do I begin...I frequent this particular Texas Roadhouse often, and today's service was horrible. From the time we were seated, the wait was long, the waitress was unpleasant, and the pork chops on both entrees were raw. The manager wasn't very knowledgeable of the items on the menu either. My boyfriend & I came in last night for dinner , I was craving the rolls and Ofcourse filled up on them before getting to the entree , per usual . My boyfriend had the prime rib which was buttery & had great flavor ! Our favorite part was the service , Bruce was amazing super attentive and hands down best service we've had in a while ! Our group, twelve women, went to eat and talk at this location. There was no organization. The host had no idea what was going on. We finally were seated, and we told the server two more were expected, she tells us that we are going to have to be moved and put back on the wait list because they could not accommodate all of us. The group decided that we would squeeze the others in rather than to be reseated. The waitress was all over the place. She was more worried about charging than she was about taking orders and giving refills. The waitress continued to fumble around, and we finally got to order. It took 45 minutes for some of our food to come out. Not all people received their food at the same time. The waitress only took plates away when we're finished eating and asked for to go boxes. She made no effort to help the paying process. They had one machine that worked for 12 of us. We had to pass around the machine and pay one at a time, which makes the customer have to work just to pay our bill. I was extremely disappointed in the customer service, I was disappointed in the amount of time it took for us to receive our food. It is very unlikely we will return! read more

Yuck! I love this chain. The food is usually well seasoned and plentiful. The decor in this location is cute, texas chic with a nice Suffolk mural to make you feel at home. This location was disgusting. There was a dusty layer of dirt on the floor. Most TR have a little peanut shell dust but this one has visible dirt trails around the edge of thr floor. This location showed no signs of serious cleaning. The waiters and waitresses swept at the dirt on the floor leaving trash and dust near the edges. Love the way they dumped uneaten shelled peanuts back into the big bucket for the nexf customer. That"s is normal for TR but we watched the waitresses make faces at the "used' peanuts as they dunped them back into the containers knocking the individual pails hard against the communal big bucket when they seemed stuck. Yuck. Just throw the slimy ones away. The salads came out soggy with deep brown croutons. I ordered ceasar and my guest had the house salad. Both of them were slimy. The rolls were great. We had catfish and roadkill - It was okay. The sweet potatoes were great. We enjoyed the rolls, water and sweet potatoes. The waitress does not like her job because her feet hurt all the time. The waitress was tired, I know because she told us twice as she leaned on the table. Oh yeah, she does not eat a lot of the "stuff" they serve here. No recommendations. "Just try the salads, they are okay." I can't recommend this location right now. I realize the overall posted rating makes it seem okay. I am calling it the way we experienced it tonight. Let the managers work out their cleanliness and employee issues before you venture in. Bumner for me. I was excited because I did not have to drive to Chesapeake to eat at TR. I've been waiting for this place to open up ever since I realized what they were building. The beauty of this place is that it's right by my house so I can literally walk to and from it. This spot has only been open for a week so it is pretty crowded. I was in there by myself so I proceeded to go to the bar. The bartenders were excellent. They had positive attitudes and made sure I had everything I needed and checked on me regularly. I'm a fan of all those who helped but especially Ashley. I had the fried pickles a bowl of chilli and that awesome bread for starters. I really didn't see a lot of peanut shells on the floor. I had the grilled chicken breast with mushrooms onions and peppers with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. It was excellent... The only beef with this place is the bar area. I think they should remove the two booths they have and extended bar area out a little bit. I also wish they were open a bit longer than 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends that's just me. I think they are underestimating the location and the need for a late night spot. Then again it might be a company standard. Other than that, welcome to the neighborhood. Absolutely the WORST experience I've ever had at a Texas Roadhouse! Service was poor, kitchen got everything wrong. Manager continued to ignore us after we asked for her several times. The drinks were all wrong, the appetizers didn't come with any sauce and were 20 minutes apart. The loaded baked potatoes didn't have any butter in them... the list goes on and on. Got a amazing server this time. Therefore we had a wonderful dining experience here. Last time I gave them 1 star based on bad service and bad food. Our server was a light haired girl with double conch piercing just like me. I don't remember her name but she was very friendly and quick and she checked on us constantly. I wish all servers can be like her. On another note is I wish the restaurant can tone down a little on sodium. Appetizers we had such as chili fries and fried onions were overly salted. In my personal opinion flavors are much more important than saltiness. read more

My to-go service was horrible. I placed an order that was to be ready @ 9:29. It was 9:43, no response. I called and was told they don't do curbside after 9 pm. Someone could've called. My order was just sitting on the counter. When I went in, the mgr didn't even offer an apology. My experience was rude and very disrespectful. They should do better with the curbside. read more

Came here for an early lunch on a somewhat busy Sunday, we immediately noticed the no outside food or birthday cakes sign....Ngl very odd. Regular outside food? sure I get that but do they supply their own birthday cakes/treats? What if the birthday boy/girl has special dietary needs, etc? I love their house salads because it comes with eggs, very tasty. I ordered the chicken critter and ribs combo. Ribs were good, critters were ok. Husband ordered a medium ribeye, came out more on the well done side but was too hungry to send it back. It was just ok, a little flavorless. We love their bread and cinnamon butter. We came here after an afternoon movie and at 5:30 were seated immediately. The rolls with the cinnamon honey butter were as good as usual and the beer was refreshing. They have a decent draft selection. I ordered the chicken fried steak with white gravy, steak fries, and a cup of chili. I was surprised that I liked the chili. The steak was good but not great. Fries were excellent. My wife ordered the six ounce sirloin cooked medium rare (and cooked to perfection), a baked sweet potato and the vegetable medley (broccoli and carrots). My food was good but one of my dining partner's medium rare ribeye was well done, TWICE...verified by two servers. It was correct on the third attempt when the manager brought it out. They did give her warm sides but by the time she got her steak we'd been seated for over an hour and everyone else had completed their meals. I'm don't even need the all I can eat peanuts as long as my hostess grabs those hot fresh rolls when she takes me to my table. I wonder how many peanuts I can eat and still keep an appetite because the rolls sure do slow me down. I usually with the smaller steak whether it qualifies for the early menu or I'm paying just because 6oz is good enough for me. Add the two sides, rolls and a sweet tea and I'm good. My steak has always come out dead and done. I do appreciate when I'm asked about steak sauce first because the wait time is usually longer after you get the food and are waiting. Kids can choose from several items and even add a sweet potatoe because they are health conscious not because of the brown sugar and marshmallows. The volume is the same no matter where I sit. When the wait staff has to sing or dance I hear them everytime. Waitstaff has always been very attentive and topped off drinks without asking except Margaritas. I don't know why! Parking lot is good size but depending on when you come you may find yourself parking on the street. Waiting area is inside and outside but they do have call ahead which cuts down your time a little. My steak is only $1 more when I don't make the early meal deal but I like the early meal deal concept so get there before 6! read more

This particular Roadhouse misses the mark. Short staffed? Maybe, but the staff they do have are not the best. We've tried them few times from December through March and have been disappointed every time. Are they not putting the orders in? Do they just not care? One time we were advised pick up would be in an hour. 2h later and after asking about it, the brought out held the order. 30m later and after asking again, they finally brought the rest out. Unacceptable! Next visit we are inside. They got 1 of 2 orders wrong, said they'd put it in again and bring it right out. An hour later my brother never got his meal and we gave up. Today my parents called to place an order and sat on hold for extended times. They went to the pick up window but no one was there. They went inside and the person said they couldn't take the order. They only wanted rolls, how hard does it need to be for customers. It wasn't until the manager came to help them that they were received. We love the Roadhouse at other locations and want this one to succeed, but they are just not working out. read more

I think the staff are great. The assistance is not limited to solely whom seated us. Our server Mia as well as others in vicinity ( Jon, and two other ladies whose name I can not right now recall) were all very attentive and responsive to our needs. We were neither super satisfied nor content with our meal this particular visit: we both ordered from the lunch special $9.99 options of the menu. I got the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes fully loaded and broccoli; my table mate got the same but with baked potato and green beans. I generally don't order Red Meat and clearly this time I should not have ventured to do so, hence my disappointment: when initially served it was under cooked and the attempt at repair tasted more of a punishment than repair- everything else was fine enough but while waiting for the attempt at repair I was left to make a meal of my sides. We do generally enjoy our meals, but clearly for me- ordering Red Meat is a no go moving forward. read more
