Not really impressed with Roadhouse! Food was "ok" but the sides sucked! I had Mac and cheese (dry) and a baked potato and it couldn't even melt the butter (no way the cheese)! This is our go to location but tonight I was disappointed. We were so excited to see them now offering the family meals so we decided to order on the app. I got no bread other than the dozen extra I ordered. My Mac and cheese that I paid an extra .99 for was literally boiled noodles no sauce or taste. My baked potato had no butter or sour cream and the outside was literally solid white covered in salt. Went to TRH to celebrate my 52nd anniversary and a friend was celebrating his 61st birthday. Everyone's steaks were delivered but mine. The waitress said that mine was coming. Well I waited and finally the manager came and asked if they told me what happened. She proceeded to tell me that my steak was given to another customer. Our friend had to ask for his potato. In the meantime while still waiting for my steak, I heard the waitress tell another table the same thing. "Your steak was given to another customer ". Really, this happened to 2 different customers. My steak finally showed up about the time that the other 3 people at my table had almost finished eating. I did fail to mention that they had delivered my potato and broccoli earlier. I did get to take my steak home but leftover steak is not the same. I was very disappointed in my experience. This happened around August 24th, 2024 on Friday evening. I had written this review previously but it got deleted because I had written a good review from a prior visit which obviously overrode my bad review. Went for dinner tonight and not surprised there was a long wait for a party of 7. We got on the waitlist and walked around some of the store to burn some time. Abigail was helping those to get placed on the waitlist and provide updates. She was very sweet and patient. She did the best she could and was kind even dealing with some rude customers. She really made a great impression on my mom who is from out of town visiting there is no way she would've waited almost 2 hours for any restaurant anywhere... we got seated and she walked us and there and made sure we had hot bread there before we even sat down. Our waitress was just as great her name was Hailiegh (Hailey). She was attentive and did everything with a smile and great attitude. All of the food was hot, fresh and tasted great. My husband and I had a gift card for here and I was a little nervous at first because I don't have much luck finding a tender steak. OMG!! We both got the prime rib and it was amazing! For an appetizer we got the the onion blossom and it was very good. The young man that was our server was very attentive and polite. We will definitely be eating here again. The prices are fairly good considering it's a steak place, and it's great prices compared to some other steak places. Hubby and I had dinner at the new Texas Road House in Terrell, TX last night. It's our second visit there since they opened in early July. The service can't be beaten and the staff is super friendly and helpful. As usual, I filled up on the warm, delicious bread and fresh salad :-). We sat next to a table of employees eating dinner. That table had waitstaff, cooks and management stop by. I sat with an empty beer for 6-8 minutes while the staff at this restaurant goofed off at the table next to me. The food at this store is so so. It's not worth the wait, bad service to go there. We live 5 minutes down the road. WE WILL NOT BE BACK, there are to many places in the area where they have at least descent service. read more

We came in a few days ago and our waitress was terrible. We had to flag her down to get her to take our order, refill drinks, etc. At one point she disappeared for at least 15 minutes, came back and we asked for refills and a Togo order for a family member. A few minutes later another waiter appears and said she had to go and he was taking over. He did a great job and got everything taken care of. Not sure what happened but the 3 times she came to our table she seemed exasperated. Nothing but great things to say. We had a spur of the moment dinner here and couldn't have been happier. We decided to sit at the bar so we could watch sling TV and socialize. Great decision. Our bartender Gerardo was on point all evening. Very friendly and attentive without hovering. After he asked for a name, every server who presented a course used my name (proper name, not calling me "Jeff" "who had the.....". Very impressive. We had the rib appetizer and substituted the fries for chili, both were perfect. The house salad is terrific! Much more than just the typical iceberg lettuce and dressing. The Dallas filet was a terrific cut. Very tender. We used to stop at the location in Mesquite, but the Terrell location will be our go-to now. Thank you Gerardo and the rest of the staff. my wife and I came in with our nine children today. we were told by the service manager that they would not sit us because they refuse to sit parties more than 8. most of our kids are little. We have never been refused service at a TR before anywhere in the state of Texas. the service manager said that big families are a burden on the staff and kitchen. be advised - this location discriminates against large families. read more

I always go to this Texas Roadhouse and it never fails to be great, but last night proved otherwise. The issue we had was that my moms food didn't taste up to par. Her mushroom chicken was salty and she ate her sides except the chicken. We made the waitress aware of this and she said was going to ask a manager get it removed. Here's where the problem started. The manager came and discussed the food and asked if my mom ate it to which we responded no and she said she was going to confirm with her staff. Well 15 minutes went by and she didn't come back. By then our waitress was ready to ring us up and asked if the manger had removed the food and we said no. So our waitress goes to find the manager and the manager once again came and specifically asked who we returned the food to and then she left to the back AGAIN and didn't return. SO FINALLY the waitress came back and took care of our bill. Our problem was the managers attitude and service. If you weren't going to remove the food you could've just said so instead of asking us questions and then leaving and never returning to the table not once but TWICE. We sat at our table waiting on the manager while she was sitting laughing with the staff at the front... the customer service from her was just ugly and not up to a managers expectations. read more
