Drove home from picking up online order only to discover the mashed potatoes missing. Food is basic so missing items is a disappointment.

Went here early on last Friday and it was packed. We chose to sit at the bar for our estimated 1 hour wait but decided to stay there to eat. The bar servers were excellent and attentive, always with a smile! Her recommendation for wine was spot on...Texas size (3 added ounces) just $3 more. We started with appetizers My wife's shrimp was excellent and my Killer Ribs were just that! They were oven baked and since I'm strictly a smoked rib fan, I didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. These were the best non- smoked ribs I've ever had, in fact, better than most BBQ joints serve. Large portion and very meaty and tender with enough charr to make them outstanding! Still a little hungry, I got the Smothered Chicken as an entree. I've been in town on business for 3 weeks and have visited a lot of the popular restaurants in the area and they were all good but the staff and customer service at this Texas Roadhouse was always consistently great. Food was always cooked perfectly and if it wasn't just a little they would make it right with a smile. I ate there several times a week and will be back next time in town. I like the TVs and the ambiance I almost felt I was in Branson MO on a vacation. Bathrooms where clean. Will definitely be back. What happened to the rolls? After not eating for 3 days because of a stomach virus I wanted your rolls. I usually prefer going out, but I am too weak. Why bother putting the rolls in? Yum yum! We came here because we had gift cards but were pleasantly surprised by prime rib and tasty Long Island tea made just right. Also the excellent service! I had the Long Island tea and the hubs had a draft blue moon that was maybe a 16 oz pour! So for gluten free they have a small sheet that includes the steaks, salmon and grilled chicken and several sides. I chose the 8oz Dallas fillet prepared with no seasonings. Well it didn't need any it was so good as were the green beans that they prepare from fresh! They were well seasoned with bacon and onion just like I like them! My husband had the prime rib, baked potato and salad. He said the prime rib was a little over seasoned and would get a Plain steak next time. He said he preferred the creamy horseradish over the au jus it came with. He said it was like soy sauce. We both enjoyed the fluffy baked potatoes. We came on a Friday night and had to park in the next lot over and the wait for a table was going to be an hour but we settled on a high top community table which we were seated right away and the company was pleasant! If I could put less than a 1 star then I would. The manager at this location in extremely rude about parties that are bigger than 6 people. Multiple times, they have tried to get us to leave by giving us a fake long wait time and then when we wait, they end up either sitting other same size parties before us or they end up having to seat us since we waited. Overall, just don't go to this location -- make the drive to a different location and you won't regret it. read more

Also, you won't be allowed to be seated until your entire party is in the restaurant. We had to wait for 30 minutes because 8 out of 10 people were present. Service has been good across multiple visits. I recommend the ribs and sweet potatoes. Salads are so-so here (and at the other location). Anyone reading this probably knows about the environment - peanut shells are just find on the ground ! A welcome addition to "the Westside." I think the food is comparable to the other locations in the chain. It seems like the wait times are less outrageous than the East 71st Street location had been for so many years. Blooming style onion and fried pickles were both hot fresh and expertly prepared. Staff was efficient and friendly our waiter Tyler was outstanding l. We ate assortment of grilled steak from sirloin to New York strip and prime rib. Salads were cold and fresh wife and one grandson had Caesar salad and balance had house salad . Fresh warm yeast rolls served quickly with whipped butter w honey. I had the New York Strip cooked med-rare and it was cooked perfectly. I also had the loaded baked potato and even potato was very well prepare hot and loaded with fresh tasteful toppings. Bacon was real and cooked just until crisp. Staff was very attentive with numerous fresh refills of drinks without being too much. Waiter was very friendly and handled the large party of 8 hitting all areas of service at the highest level. I have ate at Texas Roadhouse multiple times since my original review, and a few things have remained consistent with each visit... EVERY single time I go there, the food is simply amazing, and the service is outstanding! And I mean every single time. The atmosphere can still be too loud at times, but considering how happy I am every time I leave this place, I have to give it 5 stars! So disappointed. We've eaten at the 71st street location many times and were always delighted with both the food and service so I expected the same at this location in the Tulsa Hills shopping center. The service was terrific and my sides were great but they served me the absolute toughest NY Strip steak I have ever had and I ordered it medium rare. I guess I don't understand how 2 locations of the same chain can be so drastically different. Do they get their beef from different suppliers??? Do they not age the steaks long enough at this new location???? I don't know but I was very disappointed. We went to the Texas Roadhouse on 71st street near Garnett in Tulsa..Even at 4:00PM it was very crowded...their check-in is more like lining up in a military chow hall than a restaurant..The steaks that are displayed in the entrance area meat case look really great...not what you get when you order though! We both ordered 12 OZ Ribeyes, cooked medium..the side salad was good, veggies were good...I couldn't recognize the steak I got..it was very thin and shaped like an "L"....Not like any ribeye I've ever seen....it was almost 1/2 inedible fat..Just a very poor cut of meat..I definitely would not go back there again...I have eaten at just about all of the places in the Tulsa area that serve steak and this is without a doubt the poorest quality steak...period! Texas Roadhouse is one of the few franchise steak joints that I will readily agree to go to. The steaks and prime rib are always well-cooked and tender. The prime rib especially gets a trip through the smoker, so it's got a little extra something that really makes it worthwhile. Wait staff has never been anything other than top notch, and I'm very particular about that. Love being able to toss my peanut shells on the floor, all the while getting 'the look' from The Wife. Pretty sure she thinks I'm gonna try that at home. If there's any one thing that I would keep me from giving TR a 5 star rating, it would be the noise. I mean it's deafening in there when the place is busy. I get it though... that's the atmosphere they're going for... a noisy, rustic, 'let er rip' roadhouse experience. But it would sure be nice to have a section where things were toned down a bit and you could have a conversation. I suppose that's what afternoons are for.... All that aside, the food is always good, never disappoints and the staff are top notch. read more

Well Texas Roadhouse has been on my list for take out for a long period of time, I do drive 20 minutes for takeout at this location, which happen to be the closes one to me, and before I didn't mind at all, but not this time. I don't know if it's because what's going on right now, but there was only me and other car waiting on their orders, I ordered online, usually the bread ( I know it's complimentary) it's fresh, not this time, also they forgot my chili in two plates, I mean not everyone lives one to three miles away, and I don't want to be that person who opens every container to check their order and to make sure it's complete.
