I really like Texas Roadhouse. Normally the food is really good and cooked to perfection and presented in such a pleasant manner. Unfortunately when you go in there half hour before closing time you will not get what u want, at least not the way you want it. I did try to call 20 minutes after 10 but I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. I was going to place my order so it would be done by time I got there so they wouldn't have to rush at closing time. I'm not saying I won't be back but it will be a while before I do go back. Again on a normal day at a normal time the service is great the food is great the presentation is great. The servers are always great to wait staff is always great. I don't know what goes on in the kitchen. My server did offer to take something off of the bill which I declined. Again I'm not saying not to go there I'm just saying my experience that happened. If you go there at a normal time on a normal day, this is the best place you could ever eat. Normally the value is great but when you don't get what you want how you want it, there is no value in that Went back tonite, same crap as before. Steak under cooked. When it was presented, I saw red, I stated my concerns and was asked to cut into it. I did and one side looked good but when I cut into the other it was medium-well. That's not at all what I asked for. I will not return to this place. I would not and will not recommend this place. My first visit. Food, bartender , drinks , waitress ,hostess all deserve 5 stars. However, I had a $30 local flavor coupon I had purchased for $15. My date and I both had entree's and alcohol. When finished and ready to pay the manager stated no alcohol can be used in conjunction with the coupon. Since food was only at $22 , I ordered another dinner to go, which I really didn't need. No where on the coupon did it state no alcohol. Very disappointed not to have known prior to ordering. Never had a no alcohol issue with any other establishment. Excellent service, we were seated right away but we had called to get our name in line beforehand. Served very quickly tho and a very attentive waiter. Unfortunately my baked potato was under done and the corn were flavorless. Steak was good tho and the grilled shrimp were awesome! The atmosphere is great for the family! I ordered the salmon which tasted amazing. However, I would not recommend the shrimp. It was salty. The side of corn tasted like it was from a can. The side of beans was decent but then again like something that came from a frozen meal. On the other note, free peanuts and bread were a plus. read more

After this long stay at home, we decided to venture out to Texas Road house. We called ahead , and when we arrived we were immediately seated. The staff all wore face mask and gloves. It wasn't crowded but the people dining were all seated at least 6 ft apart. There were no peanuts on the table, we never thought to ask for them. We ordered the Rib eye and my sides were a salad and baked potato, The salad was fresh and tasty, my rib eye was a little thin which made it chewy, the baked potato was a little under cooked but edible . I would have like a little more time to finish my salad before they brought out our steaks. We realize that the condiments are not on the table , it would been nice if our waiter would come back to check sooner, so we could have asked for it before our food got cold. read more

Service was great. Kind of overly attentive to the point where it feels pushy, but I don't think that's the goal. Burgers are horrible, the only decent thing here is steak- and even then I can do better. It's just a seasoned steak. 2 stars for being able to make a rare steak. But tonight I actually had plastic in my salad. A small, sharp-edged piece of plastic. The manager was nice about it, and comped us $5 on our bill, but if I'm paying $25 for a steak and 2 sides- it shouldn't have happened. It is small, but like I said, sharp on both sides and long. Customer service has gotten better- but they should try to shape up in other areas. By the way, all their drinks are pre-mixed. If I could give it less stars I would. This is the second time I tried getting take out since the covid situation. The first time it took twenty extra minutes and the food was cold and burnt. This time it took 30 extra minutes, the food wasn't as burnt as before but it was beyond well done the fries were quite soggy. When I tried to ask someone that was bringing food to a car next to me that was there for less than 5 minutes she gave a lot of attitude and snapped "Talk to the Manager". The Manager is a very unpleasant man named Russ. When I asked him what happened to my order, he just said "I don't know". Even through his covid mask I could see him smiling. first off if I could give this worse than 1 star I would. the food was not good and not prepared well. the steak we asked for was medium well, and I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty sure they threw this on top of a campfire for an hr before giving this to us, this steak was beyond black. Second one of our chicken meals came to us cold along with the extra fries not given right away and brought out ten minutes after we gave them acknowlgment. someone else was missing there extra order of fries to, we told them at the same time, we didn't get this order of fries once they were made aware until probably 30 mins after. Now I asked for a bacon cheeseburger, this burger wasn't made with the other meals. in fact I waited probably 45 minutes for this burger after everyone else already got there food if we can call it that, and we're finished with there food, I had to take this burger to go. This was my first time eating at this location, and I was so impressed. Even though it was Friday night and the place looked busy, we were seated immediately. The service was so attentive and friendly, and my whole party totally enjoyed their food. Between the four of us we had drinks, appetizers, fish, chicken and steaks, all delicious! For a chain restaurant, it's okay. I don't know. When you go to a place like this, you don't expect anything wonderful. You just go for cheap meat. The food is always....ok. Flavor is a little lacking. Their chicken sandwich is pretty good. The staff is fine, it's pretty obvious they hire young inexperienced servers though. Went back again and we all had good meals. One problem though was that we felt the shrimp was rather unexciting. It was cooked properly but was nothing special. 5 shrimp for 6.50 I think it was. They were smaller than we expected and nothing special on the flavor. Our steaks, sweet potato and ribs were excellent though. 1/2 ribs and shrimp 20 bucks steak and shrimp 20 bucks. Service was good but lacked a little finesse. I would say they did their best. We returned again recently (2012). Good service for lunch. I ordered a burger this time. It was of good size for the money which I liked but the beef was a little skimpy from what I would expect at a place like this. They did say they grind their own meat. Which if this was true it would be a good thing. Does anyone know for sure? Other dishes for our group were well spoken of and everybody enjoyed them. The bathroom was ok but a little unkempt. There was water on the floor, the sink and paper towel machine were dirty. It wasn't terrible but I would like it to be cleaner. This is still one of the better places to eat in the area unless someone can tip me off to some better places with similar prices. Was in West Bend on a business trip for a couple weeks. I ate here probably more than I should've, due to lack of any better dinner options in the area. The food was okay at best (cept the rolls, god bless those rolls), but the hostesses and waitresses were friendly. The ribs I had were pretty dry, and the steak tasted of freezer burn. My wife & I were there on 9/3/17. We arrived approximately 1630 hr. It was somewhat busy, a 10 min wait. We were shown to our table & out waiter came up & asked if we wanted anything to drink. My wife ordered a glass of Ice water, & I ordered a "Comfort Old fashion Sweet,with two olives. The waiter came back five min. later apologizing that the bar " RAN OUT OF BITTERS" Really?????? Side note: We were there three years ago on a Saturday night, You guessed it the same thing. On that Monday I called the owner & he apologized & offered us a free meal, but I don't play that game of complaining to get a free meal. I refused, & told him that he should get his restaurant in shape. So this is twice. this time I confronted the owner before er left, & told him what I thought of his Texas Road House. By far the worst restaurant in West bend. The corn was like off brand caned corn and the pepper used on it was terrible who has ever complained about pepper it's tasted like it sat out for 100 years. The meat was absolutely garbage I had there best steak and it was a white pink and mushy no red and there was no brown or dark color around the steak look like they boiled the steak in swamp water. Don't get me started on the service just a bunch of kids there... The plates look like they bought them from a thrift store. It's like a bingo banquet The only people that want to eat there is old people who can barely see their food. the food there looks like it was from donated food from the dog shelter. I could have bought the cheapest steak at a store and made it a hundred times better by telling my kid to make it my 5-year-old kid to make it in the microwave. Took them back and returns the mid-well to my wife which they re-cooked to now well done and give me a new one that was mostly fat and grizzle. Not a bad place but ... very busy always and some times it can seem like you being ignored but it's just that busy please give them time. Only a few time have we had to wait longer then we should have. Food is good. Last time we went which was about two weeks ago we never got rolls nor offer them and it kind of seemed like our waitstaff were very overwhelmed. I visited the restaurant on Sunday 3/20 me, my children, my sister & her children i ordered the filet mignon 6oz & ribs combo plate with a loaded baked potato & corn it was terrible the steak was hard, gummy, & chewy not tender & the ribs were not fall off the bone tender either the baked potato was bland as hell even after putting a lot of salt and pepper on it & the corn looked & tasted like it came out of a can I've been to numerous Texas Roadhouse locations including the ones in Texas & never had food this bad our waitress was also acting all nervous & jittery like it was her first day or she was not used to serving big parties but she came & asked how was everything and I told her terrible she asked if I wanted to talk to the manager I said yes the manager came over like she had an attitude asking me if I wanted a remake of my food or just to take it away so she took away the plate of ribs the waitress came back so we asked for our check when she brought the check the manager only knocked of $10 from my food I feel it should of been free because the whole plate of food was terrible read more

I've been to expensive steak restaurants and paid 50 bucks for smaller steaks than they have here. I also was not impressed with those fancy joints. Not only do you have to take a mortgage out on your house to eat there, the wait staff usually acts as if you owe them something. The steaks here have great seasoning, it's always done right, and where can you get a 23oz Porterhouse for $27? Also, the wait staff will make sure your experience is top notch. My family and I really like Texas Roadhouse, but this location ...not so much. We were there on March 3, around 3 pm, we were seated right away, no waiting at all. We received the rolls, but no plates to put them on. We waited over 10 minutes ( I timed it ) to be acknowledged by anybody. I then went to the hostess stand to ask for a waiter/waitress. A scruffy looking waiter shows don't a few minutes later and mentioned the there was a mix up and he will be taking care of us. He took our drink order, and said he will give us time to look over the menu, ( I had more than enough time ). He delivered the drinks, but said he will be right back, there was not enough straws for the drinks...I had to flag down another waiter to get a straw. 5 minutes....he comes back to get the order, by this time I've seen people seated after us eating their meal. The salads are delivered, wrong dressing, wait for him to come back. He does get the proper dressings. The food comes, minus the dipping sauces for the chicken critters, we wait..... He comes back to check on us, we mentioned the lack of sauces, and he gets them right away. Less than half way through the meal and we are all out of drinks...waited...flagged down the hostess to get our waiter to get us drink refills. He arrives with the drinks after we were done with the bill, I ask for the manager to let him know what kind of service we received. He was very nice and apologetic, he also took money off the bill....then we wait, 5 minutes and I am trying to flag down the manager again but the waiter showed up to take our money. 1 hour and 14 minutes from when we were seated for three meals, not busy at all, waiters and waitresses watching tv and hanging out at the hostess stand... unacceptable. read more

Sorry, but this was the worst steak dinner I have ever had. I think first they substituted my 11oz for about a 6oz overcooked thin poor cut of meat---husband's was definitely not a 16oz! I am going to stick to my home cooked Costco steak---can't beat it! Now that is where you get a NICE 16oz steak, so I know what they should look like. Waitress was poor and we constantly had to hail her over to our table for something. For dessert we both enjoyed TWO ROLAIDS and still did not feel better in the morning. read more
