Came for a week day date night. Happy hour specials were a dollar off drinks and wed/ thurs are 50% off specialty rolls. The rolls are on the smaller size but sushi is meant to be bite size so I'm really not opposed to it. Flavor combinations & freshness was great on all the rolls. I'm happy to see myrtle beach gain a new worthy sushi spot. The papaya was also delicious and hit the spot. I've been searching for Laos style papaya everywhere in town and no one has nailed the padek beside them! Ask for Thai spicy if you want the real deal. Indulge now, pray later is the motto. A small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Service was quick and helpful. The shrimp Tom Ka soup was one of the best we've ever had. The crispy basil duck was also excellent. In town for a few days and the kids love Thai food - so we tried Thai Bistro. No regrets! We called for a reservation with no problem, arrived on time and table was waiting. Food was yummy - crab rangoons, spring rolls and chicken satay - all fresh and tasty. Then we split the panang curry and red curry - both tasty. I am a lover of pad Thai and have sampled the dish in many states. Today, I have to believe this was the best I have ever had. The place is small and a bit cramped but the staff is extremely friendly and efficient and the place is very clean. My daughter had some sushi, which she said was great, too. My only complaint is that the seating is really tight. I'm a big guy, and I was getting knocked into a lot. Service needs improvement. Was seated one table, then asked to move to accommodate large party. I moved but right next to kitchen, take out pick up area with constant flow of people and wait help. After second seating, waited for menu, waited for water, waited while my request for substituting fried rice was cleared with manager, waited for soup, waited for entre. Yes, lots of waiting!!! Fortunately, wonton soup was tasteful with ample wontons and onions. Both the chicken curry and the fried rice were perfect volume. However, their fulfillment of my Thai hot request seemed last minute as they sprinkled dry pepper flakes on my curry instead of cooking hot spices in the curry sauce. Halfway into meal, wait help finally asked me if I wanted more spices. They brought a spice paste in oil ,not hot, more pepper flakes and another bowl of some unknown unhot spice. It was almost like a fast food environment. Little imagination in the decorations. Prices were reasonable but paper napkins were thin. This beautiful place just opened and I immediately ordered for takeout. The person on the phone was very nice, he speaks Spanish also. It's deceiving on the outside because it's is so clean, beautiful and cozy on the inside. The girl who attended me was also very friendly and beautiful. I gave this restaurant 5 stars. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, very clean. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it special, singing and serving cake. The food was amazing, we had vegetable spring rolls, pot stickers and chicken satay as appetizers. Our entrees were general tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken and sizzling filet with veggies, everyone was very happy with their meal. Service was excellent. My wife and I discovered Thai Bistro last night, February 7, 2024. We also discovered that this restaurant is a sister Thai restaurant in the northern section of Myrtle Beach, named Thai Taste. We had eaten at Thai Taste a few years ago, and loved the food, atmosphere and service. Thai Bistro was closer to our hotel so we decided to check it out. The restaurant is in a strip mall and it was the only busy place there. There was only one empty table and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was hopping!! The cooks and servers were busy, and the crowd was having a big time, chatting with their friends and family, enjoying a delicious meal. We had a feeling that the food would be a hit and we could not have been more correct! I had an appetizer of hamachi sashimi, which was buttery smooth. My entree was panang curry with chicken and my wife had ginger stir fry with mixed vegetables and shrimp. The portions were generous, and the food was fabulous! We ate both of our dishes completely, and it was delicious. Thai Bistro has to be in the top 5 Thai restaurants ever for us. We will go back because we love Thai food and this is some of the best we've ever had. I'm really looking forward to our next visit! read more
