Thai food is our favorite!! So when we craved it, we came here. This place has not disappointed. This time we ordered shrimp pad thai, cashew nut chicken, green curry, and a coconut milk based soup. Everything was delicious, especially the pad thai. The green curry was lovely as well. The curry wasn't as thick as it normally is, but it had a lot of flavor and he green beans still had a delicious snap to them. As always the owners are really nice, and they always ask if the food is good. It has become our favorite fast thai restaurant!! read more

we're craving for thai food and decided to try this one since it's close to home. Ordered pad thai and summer rolls. Sauce on pad thai is a little runny and summer roll is not up to par from the rest we've tried before. We also ordered caterpillar roll and to be honest, they should just scratch off their sushi on their menu because it's horrible! The rice on the sushi is dry and hard and the taste is a bit off. One thing that is superb about this place is that the service is great. Although they kinda messed up with our order since they mixed up our table no. from the table right next to us. but other than that, I don't think we'll be coming back here. How did I pay for crab puffs/ hince the word crab. when it only a thick filled ravioly with cream cheese. Curry chicken had more potatoe than chicken. This "restaurants" problems come from many sources. For one thing there are things everywhere, printers, stacks of paper, old signs just kind of thrown about. The service was not great, and they get visible perturbed when you don't buy there drinks. I would say the only redeeming quality was the food it self. What there was of it was good, but it's like a cup and a half of food. So overall I'm not a fan. There is better Thai to be had in Tucson. read more

First visit here: one waiter, full restaurant, menus and beverage served within 15 minutes. Waiter spilled iced tea on my husband. Gave him lots of slack because it was so full and he was managing well, if a bit on the slow side. Food was fabulous. Papaya salad, green curry w/chicken and some spicy beef dish...all great. Service was too slow at best. Waiter said that waitress was out sick. Second visit, 2 weeks later: Seated promptly along with a table of 4. Restaurant had about 4 other tables finishing up. One waiter and one bus person? who was comically slow...seriously, a sloth could move faster...he seemed lost and confused the entire time we were there. We got menus after about 15 minutes, then the sloth gave us beverages about 10 min. later. Still waiting to order. Now, a table of 2 and a single table come in. We are still sipping tea and waiting....still giving the waiter slack for being alone. Time ticks on. Single woman gets her food....The table of two decide to move to another table and two more tables of two come in. One is seated right behind us and one within my line of sight. Husband told me that the one behind was not going to be patient. Meanwhile, the original table of 2 get their order taken and the table of 4 get their order taken and we are still waiting for someone, anyone to take our order. We arrived at 1 pm....it is now about 45 minutes later. The table of 4 that arrived with us have food delivered, the table of two that arrived after us, get their food, the table I can see, get up and leave. We still have not had order taken, we would have complained but were being considerate of an overworked waiter with a sloth for helper. The table behind us start to loudly complain.( called that one)..after being there for 10 minutes. They get their order taken.....(side note, if it had be us and the situation was reversed, we would have told the waiter that that other table was there before us and should have their order taken first....but that is just us..) At this point, we get up and walk out. I had wanted to walk after 30 minutes, but husband was uncomfortable ( out of character) and wanted to pay for the tea. The waiter saw us leave, tried to say he would get to us....good thing my husband spoke with him, I would not have bothered to explain or apologize. It was ridiculous. We got in our car exactly 1 hour after arriving in the restaurant. Never having order taken and other tables arriving long after we did, were eating and finishing their food. BS....we will never go there again. period. Too bad too because we really liked the food. read more

I had never tried this place before, but I was really feeling some Pad Thai for takeout! This place was GREAT! The service was wonderful (we went through the drive through) and the man at the window was so kind to us. He made sure to converse with us and address us by name. Placed a phone order and went to pick up...only negative I have to say is the fact that their online menu bunches together the flavors of the Boba tea so you think you can order "Blueberry Pineapple" when it's just 1 or the other ‍ but other than that the food was delicious, was told 20mins and prolly only had to wait 3 or so mins when we picked it up. It pains me to write this, as I used to really love this place. They had the best orange chicken in town! However, my recent visit was beyond awful. I went there 12/23/19 and placed an order for carry-out: egg rolls, Thai noodle soup, and orange chicken. While waiting, I noticed that the restaurant was dirty. Really dirty--piles of dirty dishes, carpet and mats that haven't seen a vacuum in many moons. Because I've eaten there so many times, I decided to overlook. Got my order home and it was just bad. Truly awful. The egg rolls were burned on the outside and absolute mush on the inside. The soup was thin and sour, and the bean sprouts that came with it were slimy. The orange chicken was burned beyond recognition--it actually had several hard, black spots that were like a rock. It was just inedible. Disappointed, I called to let them know that the meal was not up to their usual standards. The gentleman I spoke with said he wanted to send someone to pick it up so he could see how bad it was, and that he would refund my money. I waited for 2 HOURS for someone to come, and finally called them back. The same gentleman acted annoyed that I had called again. I left the food outside my front door and went to bed. The next morning it was gone, so I assume they eventually came and picked it up. They still have not refunded my money, and certainly won't at this point. There is far better Thai food to be had, and far more ethical places to do business with. I recommend skipping this one. read more

The service was nice, the food was above average, and it was a pleasant space to dine. I would have give. It 4.5 stars, but then the bill came. First I said I didn't want a reciept, but the credit card charge slip was higher than expected. We only got 3 items so I totaled them up- the bill should have been $33 by the menu prices, but was over $39. I asked to see the ticket at that point, thinking maybe I made an error. But no, the prices on the ticket were higher than the prices on the menu. For example, I got garlic vegetables with a tofu add on. On the menu this should have been $11.99 plus a dollar for the tofu. But on the ticket it was $15.99. I asked about it and was told that it was now a "combo meal" that cost more because I added the tofu. No offer of my money back. I didn't even check the other items, or make a fuss. Just left with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I yelped somewhere to eat, close to my house and realized that awful BBQ place had finally closed (it was THE worst)... anyway, read the reviews and thought we'd roll the dice. I am a very good cook and my favorite its Thai so they had a lot to live up to- AND THEY DID! Simply delicious... noticed on the way out that they have a take-out- drive thru window too... perfect! This establishment is pretty good. They have Chinese and Thai food. The also have sushi, though I have never tried it. By far their items are their Thai dishes. I particularly like their Thom Kua soup I often get their Pad Thai because that is my favorite Thai dish, but their lack flavor and texture that I long for. The owner is always very friendly and helpful. I typically order it as takeout and it is freshly prepared and pretty quick. I have taken my kids (OK they are over 18 now, but they are still my kids), and they liked it though they say "it's not as good as mom's", true enough. The atmosphere is pretty divey, nothing fancy or really even that attractive. It is not a place I would like take a date. read more

I've been on a search for some quality Thai food ever since arriving in Tucson, but all of the places on Yelp seem to have pretty mediocre reviews. My friend and I finally decided to try this place, but we weren't quite sure what to expect. Upon walking in, the owner greeted us immediately and joked around with us before we sat down and began to peruse the menu. I appreciate the wide variety of foods on the menu, but ultimately decided to go with my favorite: yellow curry with chicken and a Thai iced tea to boot. There weren't many people there, as it was about 8 on a Tuesday night, but even so, it took quite a while to get our food out. I'm sure our wait time seemed exacerbated in my mind because I was starving, but it was still at least a 20 minute wait, and there were maybe 5 other people in the restaurant. When our food did arrive, the portions were a little smaller than I was expecting, but they were by no means skimpy. My yellow curry wasn't spicy at all, despite being marked as so on the menu. It tasted alright, but wasn't anything to rave about; the sauce just didn't really have any "umph" behind it. I had ordered a Thai tea to go along with it because that's usually the only thing that can mitigate the spice, and that was decent too, but much sweeter than usual and also nothing to get crazy about. What I will say though, is that it's pretty hard to find any kind of food, let alone something as time intensive to cook as Thai, for as cheap as they have it here. My meal came out to be $8 total, I believe? As a broke college student, I very much appreciate that. I may return if I'm already in the area and really craving Thai, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here regularly. read more

While at the Thai China Bistro, today, we were initially served by the lady. Beautiful voice, pleasant manner, good listening skills and very good at explaining things. Paying attention to the way the gentleman talked to others, I saw the same friendly, yet, courteous service given to them. He was answering all their questions, not trying to rush them into a choice, giving them a little privacy to discuss, but, returning to see if they were ready. Then, the lady took their order and, as they went along, she explained what the things they were ordering came with, how much it would cost for a substitution at this time of day (fried rice instead of steamed rice, for instance), made sure the order was written down correctly before leaving the table, and, was generally impressive. The food is very good. The service would keep us coming back if the food was only adequate. read more

No green onion chopped up. It's the little touches that make for success. This was my first visit here! I came with a group of 8 people. This place is a little run down, bathroom was not in very good condition it was dirty and the dryer didn't work well. The decor defiantly needs to be updated, it's dark and gloomy. However the food was really good. I had wonton soup and an ice tea and it came out to $6.88, seemed a little pricey for what I got but it was good. The ladies around me all tried different menu items like the Pad Tai, chicken teriyaki, and the sweet and sour chicken. Everyone loved their food! Bland flavors in both of our lunch specials, boba smoothie had ice chunks- not blended at all, and to top it off our mango sticky rice was made with near-rotten mangos I had to spit out after tasting. I was traveling from Phoenix to Tucson for work and decided to stop here for dinner based on Yelp reviews. I'm an avid lover of Chicken Pad Thai and was not disappointed with theirs. The sauce was AMAZING and the noodles were perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Rice & son had the sesame chicken. Both were pleased with their meals. I did have a glass of the Thai Iced Tea which unfortunately lacked some flavor. Overall the food was great & the staff was awesome. Will definitely return next time I'm in Tucson. read more

What a refreshingly wonderful place to dine. Its so delicious that we ate here for the first time on a Friday and again on the following Monday. From the orange chicken to the beef & broccoli, each time we go we try different items and to our delite it's all been scrumptious. The customer service is great in person and over the phone . All the food is cooked fresh to order, but the wait time is quick. Were so mad at ourselves for years of just driving by and never stopping in to try it. Now we can't get enough of it. They have both Chinese and Thai menu options. Looking forward to returning to try something else new. They also have Boba beverages! This place is definitely recommended by us!! read more

The egg drop and hot & sour soups were both delicious. The thai iced tea was also good, although a bit on the sweet side since they put in a lot of condensed milk (more than most other places). I got the spicy combination platter which was tasty, although it didn't have as much meat as I would have liked. Their desserts were good as well. I tried the deep fried oreos and the mochi ice cream which were both good. Service was excellent. A guy by the name of Chuy came by multiple times to our table to make sure we had everything we need, even though our waitress was very good as well. Synopsis, the food is bland and it isn't authentic, whatsoever. The yellow curry is bland with large cuts of onion, mushy potatoes and flavorless chicken, although tender. They also use instant rice, which is disappointing. I also ordered the TomYum and I'm not exactly sure what it was, but it was definitely not TomYum. The soup had hints of lemongrass, and it didn't have the boastful flavor and kick of chile I typically get from a traditional TomYum soup. Positives are friendly, efficient and quick service. The food is very consistent in flavor. Unfortunately over the years it seems that their entrees go heavy on the carb portions and skimp on the meat and veggies. Their tofu tends to be hard. There's definitely better Thai and Chinese food in Tucson. We tend to order from here only when we're in the area and need some carry out. I'd say it's one step up from Panda Express although with Panda they don't skimp on the meat! read more

Additionally, if you do not like something that you order, you still have to pay full price and then full price for another entree hoping the new entree is better????? Everything that I have tried has been greasy, flavorless, and left me with a stomach ache.
