Love love love Chern! I'm a big fan of their menu. Everything you can expect from a Thai restaurant but crafted. I'm a visual person. The soups and curries served in traditional pots. The fish served as if you're on a local beach, the desserts with flavors so delicate you have to come back. Everything is delicious. Ploy is always the best. Her staff always working hard to ensuya great experience. I love their drinks. They are amazing and creative. I can't wait to be back soon so I recommend this spot to anyone. Best Thai around !

Pad see ew and fried veggie rolls

We wanted Thai to break our fast for Ramadan, and decided on this new restaurant. I saw that it took the spot of La's and it looks to be under new ownership since their menu is different. I ordered online for a 6pm pickup and my food was packaged and ready even a few minutes before that, which I appreciated. The young woman who greeted me was friendly and gave me chili sauce when I asked for some. I ordered the pad see ew with fried tofu, spice level hot. It was good and I especially enjoyed the salty garlic bits, but I did feel like it was missing something. Could just be my taste buds changing. The spice level was fairly accurate considering there were two more hot levels, but I could've handled hotter. I tried some of the kao soi my friend ordered and it was very yummy, I liked the flavors of the sauce as it came in two containers for takeout (the other had the noodles). The veggie spring rolls were standard, nothing special but tasty nonetheless. Can't review the restaurant experience but it looked lovely inside and I hope to be back to try their lunch specials and other dishes.

I got takeout from here. I got gyoza, chicken pad thai, beef panang curry. I really liked the panang curry and would order that again. The gyoza were good but they tasted almost a bit stale. I wasn't a fan of the pad thai, not a lot of flavor and the flavor it did have wasn't my favorite. Overall I think they do have some good things I would reorder the panang curry and maybe try the drunken noodles next time.

Decided to try this place out after hearing about the new ownership and change in menu. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the larb bites to start off with. They were quite flavorful, albeit dry for our preferences. For our main entrees we ordered the granny pineapple curry with mussels and the kao soi with soft shell crab. The curry was good; we appreciated that the mussels were already removed from the shell. Most curries come with vegetables like bell peppers, onions, sometimes tomatoes, but this one only came with basil and pineapple, which we didn't mind. The presentation of the kao soi was appealing, however, the curry soup part of it was salty. Overall, service was friendly from start to finish. The space itself is comfortable and relaxing and quite spacious for a Thai restaurant. The food did take some time to come out and did not come out around the same time for the main entrées. So, to avoid making the other feel awkward, we waited for all the main entrees to arrive before digging in. The portion sizes are single serving for the main entrees, and it was a bit pricey for what we received.

Cute place. Staff was super nice. The new owner came out and greeted us. Even gave us a complimentary dessert. The food was authentic and amazing. So delicious. Loves the menu. So many options to choose from. This is going to be my fav place to come when I'm craving Thai. I highly recommended this place.

Can't get enough of this new spot! Great variety, unique menu items, fresh ingredients, comfortable environment and friendly staff. The owners are so sweet and clearly have a passion for food! Run, don't walk, to try it out. You'll probably see me there

The food was absolutely delicious and tasted just like a home-cooked Thai meal. The service was wonderful, and the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. Such a warm, authentic place--I'll definitely be back! Absolutely recommend

As someone who comes from the restaurant industry, I don't say this lightly, this was one of the most authentic, thoughtful, and genuinely beautiful dining experiences I've had. From the moment we walked in, Betty and Pauline made us feel completely at home. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, but what stood out even more was the atmosphere, warm, family-oriented, filled with laughter, and the kind of hospitality that you can't fake. The service was attentive in all the right ways without ever feeling overwhelming. The food felt like a true homemade experience, made with care and intention. The iced Thai coffee was rich and refreshing, the beef pad see lew was perfectly balanced, and the pork belly was crispy and full of flavor. The maassaman near beef dish was incredibly creamy with melt in your mouth tender beef and the peanuts were amazing too, and the bread tied it all together perfectly. The tom yum seafood soup was a standout: spicy, tangy, and layered with bold, comforting flavors. Everything about this place left me feeling not just full, but genuinely fulfilled. You can taste the passion in every dish and feel it in the way they treat their guests. I'm beyond pleased with this experience and will absolutely be back. Places like this are rare.

I can't say enough good things about Chen Thai Artisanal Cafe. First of all, Family owned and operated, I always love supporting small businesses. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance feels warm and inviting, with a thoughtfully designed space that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal. What really sets this place apart is the freshness and AUTHENTIC. Everything is made daily and prepared to order, and you can truly taste the difference in every bite. The ingredients are high quality, and nothing feels pre made or rushed. It is clear that a lot of care goes into every dish straight from grandmas kitchen in Thailand ! Honestly, there is nothing bad on the menu. Every item I have tried has been consistently delicious, making it easy to come back again and again and try something new. If you are looking for fresh, flavorful Thai food in a great atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out.

She's from Korea and lived many years in Los Angeles. Currently, she lives here in Phoenix. With our backgrounds, we know Authentic Thai Food. One bite, I was disappointed. The second bite, confirmed the taste was NOT authentic. Many complex ingredients were missing! Where was the tamarind subtle flavor? Where was the Kaffir Lime Leaves? Where was the fish sauce? Where was the thick gravy sauce? No use of cornstarch.... If you want Authentic Thai Food, please do not go to this restaurant. However, if you are a person who likes plain food, with no depth of Thai flavors, this is your place. My friend and I just played with our food after the second bite. Even the Thai Iced Tea tasted like a premixed drink that came from a carton. It was like a Chai Tea watered down by water and ice. I took the food home, hoping that I would be able to doctor it up. Nope! I didn't even bother to put it in the refrigerator and immediately place it in the trash. Very disappointed. As for the service, it was very questionable because no one even SAW that we went eating. Finally, after 15 minutes or so, I say our food was okay. I lied!! And asked for the check, like we wanted to escape an establishment that was based on a sham. The decor was nice and the location was quiet for an afternoon weekend. That should have been our clue to avoid the place. You can definitely get plain Americanized Thai food from this place.

No lime, no tamarind, nothing but soggy, sad, sterile noodles and chili oil. The drunken noodles were slightly better because there was a hint of basil. No love, no flavor, nothing Thai about this garbage. The Deep Fried Veggies Rolls were obviously premade and microwaved. Garbage. The bbq pork fried rice was the only thing that was "ok". It barely qualifies as acceptable but it is way better than the noodle dishes. The servers were quick and polite an had the order ready to go when I arrived for pick up. There were plenty of seats, light music, and cozy lighting, definitely feels like authentic Thai food. Chicken Pad Thai (no tofu): 5/5 This one is the reason you come back. Perfect comfort balance of sweet/savory, chewy noodles that don't go weird in a takeout box, and solid chicken in every bite. If pad thai is your go-to order, this is a very safe (and very happy) decision. Pad See Ieww: 3.5/5 Not bad at all--still hits that cozy, savory noodle craving--but it didn't have the same, "I need this again tomorrow" magic as the pad thai. More of a good side character than the main event. Flavor just didn't hit as well as the pad Thai. Deep Fried Veggie Rolls: 3.5/5 Sauce is definitely what makes this dish! The outside was crunchy and inside was cooked perfectly, just not what you'd expect from a veggie roll. The flavor for me wasn't as full. Pro tip: order the chili sauce! It's the little add-on that turns "this is good" into "wait...why is this so much better now?" I'm already plotting a round two... and yes, the chili sauce will be coming home with me again.
