Delicious food! My brother in law could not stop raving about how satisfied he was, and he is not an easy man to please at times. We ordered the chicken pad Thai, yellow curry, basil beef stir fry. The rice was warm and soft with a pleasing aroma. The highlight of the meal was definitely the yellow curry with its creamy taste and smooth finish. The basil beef was not as spicy as I had anticipated but had good flavor overall. In my opinion the chicken pad this was slightly slimy for my pallet warranting the 4 stars. Service was warm, receptive, and welcoming. Maybe a little too much hahaha. We did spemd a decent amount of time speaking about the owner's daughter and how she needs driving lessons. I came here with my husband for lunch and had a hankering for some yellow curry! I was pleased to see they had sweet lunch specials which included a cream cheese wonton, soup, salad, Thai tea or coffee, and your lunch-sized entree for $7! What a steal! I was displeased to find that my curry was rather bland, and had not a single spice to it. I'm never sure if Thai places do this to me because I am white and they think I can't handle it, but I oftentimes find myself without a spice in sight. :-C Anyway, I added some of the table chili sauce, which helped a little bit but ended up ruining the flavor. The soup was great with the chili sauce, and the wonton and Thai tea were delish. My husband had the panang, which was pretty good; it was relatively watery and bland compared to what I've had at other places. For dessert we tried the sticky rice with mango ($7!?!). I thought it was expensive but this is because they bring you an entire mango with your sticky rice. I've had this dish at other places and it was always much better than it was here... I'm glad there's a good place for thai food in Chino Hills. Wife and I had the pad thai and boat noodle soup. I always prefer the noodles in the pad thai to be a little chewy, which they did here, so I liked that. Flavoring was good but not the best I've had. I didn't notice a lot of nuts in it though nor citrus. I guess we could have asked for a lime. The boat noodles were tasty. They're generous with their beef and it was really tender. Ordered take out and was satisfied with my choices. Got the pad see ew w/beef, spicy fried rice w/beef, and green curry w/chicken.Also rice for ($1) more. If you don't want meat in your entree, you can get tofu instead which is pretty cool. They have lunch specials mon-fri that comes w/free thai tea, soup, rice, and eggroll with your entree for 6.95. Read most of the reviews on yelp about this place and decided I had to check it out for myself. My friend and I walked in and we were greeted very warmly right away. We ordered pineapple fried rice and yellow chicken curry- both of which were about $7, and ordered a plate of white rice which was an additional $1. Both of us were just in awe of how tasty both dishes were. I have had plenty of Thai food from various places and I would have to say that out of all of them, this one takes the cake. I always order the pineapple fried rice whenever I go to a Thai restaurant and the one I had here is hands down the best. The portions were big; we ended getting a box for the rest of the food. I LOVE this place! Given I've only had the pad thai with shrimp (yum) I still love this place! Some tips Bring cash they charge .50cents for using a card under $10 and if you're getting the lunch special or a certain dish it can easily be under that. They make the food fresh! So it takes some time; if you get it to go like me be sure to charge your phone (unlike me) to keep from awkwardly watching people eat. The food Again I only had the pad thai I tried to order the spring roll once but for some reason they couldn't make it that day (its ok the pad thai made up for it) Now you can choose beef, pork, or chicken in your dishes shrimp costs $2 more but they're jumbo shrimp, given only six or so are usually in the pad thai I get I still order it that way because I apparently haven't realized I'm poor yet :) The tai tea is amazing not too sweet just right The atmosphere is cozy, its tucked away in a corner of a shopping center off chino hills parkway it has a small dining room but load of pictures of customers just enjoying their time there. My husband and I have had the privilege to eat at many Thai restaurants, but after trying this place no other Thai restaurant has ever measured up to it. After our discovery of Thai Corner, we have probably dined here about 20 times within a year or two. Our favorites to order are their Tom Yum Goong, Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry, Chicken Saute, Crying Tiger, Thai Fried Rice, and Mango Sticky Rice, when in season (please excuse spelling errors). Even though we've been here so often we are wowed nearly every time we taste their dishes. The beef that is used for the Pad See Ew tastes so wonderful. When we first ate it, our first expression was "It's real beef!" The beef never tasted so real, if that even makes sense. The Yellow Curry has such delicious flavor with perfect ingredients to simply heighten the taste. Crying Tiger, it's a must try for those who like lime and beef. Mango Sticky Rice, it will not disappoint you either. The Thai Fried Rice is amazing in a sense that it is such a simple rice dish in comparison to the other rice dice options, yet it does not lose in quality. The items on their menu are all very reasonably priced. Something else that is very much worth your money is the lunch menu. You get soup, free Iced Tea (which I don't drink but always give to a friend or just don't drink it), a piece of wonton or gyoza, a tasty salad and the main order, again for such an awesome deal! Love it. On top of it, the waitress with short hair is so kind and friendly. Love it. We look forward to seeing her beaming face every time we come because she is just so genuinely kind. I wish they had more staff to help her though, because at night she is really busy handling over 6 tables. My wife and I are fans of Thai food. I am not an expert in "authentic" Thai food, but this place seems to taste 'most authentic' (as another poster put it). Their vegetables taste garden-fresh. Even after frying/grilling, the vegetables retain that backyard-garden freshness that you would expect from a Napa Valley restaurant. Some of my favorite dishes: Spicy Basil Beef, Pad See Ew, Ginger Chicken. The Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee are great and are a good treat. I wish free refills were to be had. I took off a star because the establishment is not very comfortable, especially when there are a few patrons in there. The space itself is small. However, some may find this to be very intimate and friendly which I believe too as long as the number of patrons is less than 8. GIve it a try. First time coming here (on my lunch break)...and I was disappointed. This was literally the lunch from hell. First off my pad see ew was burned. Tasted horrible and believe me I tried eating it because I was hungry. The fried rice was ok but damn my pad se eww. I was so disappointed...I wanted some Thai food. We told the lady it was awful and she offered something else...but we had no time because they took so long to give us our food. Oh then we were supposedly getting the lunch menu and when we got the bill it was 60.00! It was almost comical the way the whole lunch was going. Great local thai, especially for lunch. I exclusively order the Chicken Panang and Pad Thai. The pad thai comes with in a ridiculous portion. My wife and I can split an order of that only and be stuffed if we get it to go. The chicken panang is soo good. For some reason, only when you order it for dinner does it not come with rice. I'm not sure why but it is not enough to detour me from ordering some. 4 stars for the food taste and price. Only tried the curry at this place, but it's delicious! The price is decent (~$10) for the chicken, pork, or tofu (beef and shrimp are extra). I usually call in the order and they have it ready for pick up within 10-15 minutes. The serving size is what you would expect. They give about a Chinese take-out box full of rice, and a good amount of curry. Parking here isn't too bad, if the front is full, you just park a little farther out. Seating inside is decent too. Wow, 5 Stars for attentive waitress, really hard worker and extremely gracious.. Cute little mom and pop space. We ordered the Pad Thai and Crying Tiger steak. Pad Thai was good, but the Crying Tiger meat was just okay for me. The steak comes with a divine green sauce that is magic. The green sauce is so divine I ended pouring it on my rice! Insanely awesome service. Fast and friendly. And I definitely need a nap now. Tried the chicken pad thai and the chicken satay. Delicious chicken satay with a slight curry flavor. It was steamy and dreamy with a good peanut sauce. The pad thai was also quite good, the noodles are a bit thicker than normal, but the flavor was good and the salt level spot on. I ate here (3) times in two days... ...(2) dinners :) on one night and another the following. I couldn't get enough of the Drunken Tofu spicy noodles. They were sooo delicious. I ordered them a "10" on the spicy scale and then put several of their spicy condiments on my meal too. An absolute and rare "10" on the delicious scale for me. I had the Thai tea with my meal to offset some of the heat. A perfect blend and not too at all too sweet. Just right. Some places make their Thai teas "American", too much Sugar, but this place does it right. And it isn't pre-stirred, so you get to mix up the tea yourself. Pretty neat, huh? i think this place beats coconut bay and banana bay with some of their dishes. i tried coconut bay's crying tiger and it sucked. Thai corner's crying tiger is good with a cilantro sauce (yummm) i also get their thai fried rice with beef and yellow chicken curry. my bf gets the orange chicken, the sauce is okay but the chicken is a bit too fried and sometimes hard to chew. overall i think this place is pretty good. read more

Not sure why everyone is complaining about rice, but I'm Persian so I prefer our own rice anyways, so when I come to a Thai restaurant the last thing I order is rice. Anyways, I've been here twice now, had a total of 6 different dishes, and this place is head and shoulders better than any other Thai restaurant I've had in the area (Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, Walnut, Chino Hills). I'm not going to claim I've tried every Thai restaurant, but I've tried about 8 in the area and this was the best I've had. Stand out dishes were: -Green Curry (I am a huge Panang Curry fan myself, but their Green Curry has me sold) -Eggplant Basil I actually didn't love their Pad Thai, the Pad Thai at Thai BBQ also in Chino Hills is significantly better. Everything else I tried was good - Spicy Noodle dish, Pik Kri, Pad See Ew. Highly recommend and will come back. This place is surprisingly good! Thai food was actually yummy, portions were decent, price was okay. However, they do not serve Tom Yum for their soup, instead opting for a cheap, more European-style light vegetable broth. Decor is okay, parking lot has plenty of space, but the inside is definitely grimy. The tables feel like they're slightly sticky. Was there a different Thai restaurant in this location before? I could have swore there was a restaurant with really bad reviews which is why I never bothered coming. Anyway, I was going to have lunch at Mandarin Bistro, but it looks like it closed and I remembered there was a Thai place around the corner. I was surprised by how busy it was on Saturday at lunch time, but took it as a good sign. I had the Rad Na since I haven't had it in a while and it was pretty good with lots of gravy, chicken and Chinese broccoli. I also tried the Thai fried rice and BBQ chicken which I also enjoyed. I wouldn't say it's the best Thai food I've ever had, but it's definitely A-OK. Service is really good and we were checked on multiple times. I think for the location though, it's maybe $2 too expensive. There are some really great lunch deals including Thai iced tea for around $7, but they're only available weekdays. read more

I recently moved back to the IE and decided that I need a local go-to Thai place. Now, mind you, I have a certain criteria when it comes to Thai cuisine: a tangy Tom Yum Kai with the right balance of sour and spiciness and good broth to meat/mushroom ratio; a tasty Pad-See-Ew with the right flat noodle and chinese broccoli; and a flavorful, homemade Thai Iced Tea. I enjoy coming here for a quick Thai food fix with my family. We love coming in for their weekday lunch specials since the it's mostly their most popular dishes served like Pad Thai and Beef Panang. Each plate is served with a crab cream cheese wonton, salad, soup and includes a choice of Thai iced tea or Thai coffee. Thai Corner is located in the Staters Bros shopping center on Grand and Chino Hills Pkwy. I had a good experience here. I always put Thai Bbq and Thai Village on the top of my list, but I can say I can put Thai Corner on that list too. The food is great. It may be a little slow at times. But the food is good. I really think the portions can be bigger, but for the portions they serve the price is reasonable. The only bad thing I have to say about this place, is that the dining-in isn't that great because its small in there and you feel a bit crowded. you really don't have personal space. But if you're cool with that, you'll like the place. Cause I think the space was used for a jewelry mart before it became a restaurant. I went there last week, and got the pad thai lunch special. The place wasn't full, as I thought it would be. It was decent, but I wasn't too impressed. The soup of the day, however, was delicious. It was this salty/sweet noodle soup. Service is very friendly, but she didn't tell me about the free drink you get with the lunch special, so I ended up getting water. I only found out about it afterwards, as I picked up a togo menu and saw it written on there. I'd go here again however because they have a lot of stuff on their menu and it's quite close to where I live. I also have a more full review w/ pictures on my blog. Umm, this place is ok.. Not horrible, but definitely not my first choice for a Thai place and I live in the same city. It's like 3 minutes away (by car) from my house. I have never been here for lunch and I see that's where all the good reviews are coming from, so maybe I should come back here for lunch, but for now I shall rate this 2 stars because I don't think it's that delicious at all. Very unmemorable. I can't even remember this place all that well. That's how mediocre the food is. I do remember leaving unsatisfied though! Not THE best Thai food I've ever had, but definitely the best Thai food joint in the Chino Hills/Diamond Bar area. The pros: I absolutely love their Crying Tiger and will say if not the best it's one of the best I've ever had! Their chili-lime sauce that goes with it is AMAZING and goes good on anything else too - salad, chicken, whatever. The steak is always tender and comes out cooked perfectly to what you order (I usually get medium) and the rice is great too - none of that loose, falling apart crap, but soft, fluffy and clumps together like rice should be. The pad thai is also good but pales in comparison to the crying tiger. Their Garlic Chicken is pretty tasty also, but the chicken is thin and cooked a tad dry, but again, the sauce is very flavorful. Service is also good, the lady who owns it is very friendly and gave me an extra container of the chili-lime sauce for free when I asked if they sold it here. The Cons: I don't know what dressing they put on the salad but I hate it. It tastes like super watered down ranch. I keep forgetting to tell them to not put the dressing on. The place is also really small so you can't take large parties here and there's sometimes a 20-30 min wait. It's also a bit on the pricey side for the portions, Lunch combos are around $10 and portions are not large, but I do feel the quality is worth the price. read more

YUMMM!!! We moved to Chino Hills this summer and we haven't found a good Thai place around until tonight! Pros: great value, large take-out portions, VERY nice staff, smells amazing right when you walk in, authentic food with loads of flavor (we had PadKeeMow, Crying Tiger, Pad Thai and Yellow curry) The lady that rang us up sent us off with two free Thai teas as well:-) Cons: No ambiance for dining in for a date or anything and (I'm being REALLY picky now) I could use some more spice...but that's very easily taken care of:-) We are Thai fanatics, so I've tried a lot of places.
